Guest Reviews
- Brent (8/5): - The staff is very friendly, courteous and helpful. The bed was quite hard so my fiancee and myself weren't too crazy about that. The location is fairly convenient to whatever your food choices are. There are different forms of transportation available. Overall I would definitely recommend.
- Greg (4/5): - Ask for assistance several times. In particular, the wifi was so slow that nothing worked on it. I called right away and they said they would get it fixed. Several hours later, still no one shows. Then I had to start teaching courses. Had to reschedule them all. The wifi was almost nonexistent. They promised to fix it when I called in the morning. Still nothing. More cancelled courses. In the end, no help.
- Jonathan (10/5): - It is a solid hotel for the price, close to SM Clark thay you could go walking and CityFrontMall.
- Alfred (8/5): - Friendly staff and safe environment
- TJ (10/5): - The staff is wonderful and very accommodating. I stayed for five nights and even considered extending. Will be back!
- Bobby (10/5): - very nice property and the hotel staff were wonderful
- Sabin (10/5): - Good and average hotel.
- Cesar (8/5): - I like the service friendly and helpful
- jesinio (8/5): - No restaurant in house. But property well maintained.
- Tyrone (6/5): - Room with no window was bad for me
- James (2/5): BAD TOILETS AND HARD BEDS - Spend some money on toilets. Only a child could sit on them. Also the beds are hard. Find another hotel
- Rosemarie (10/5): - Nice
- Blaine (8/5): Noisy Area - Stayed at Devera Hotel on a recent trip to Pampanga. Check in went well. Location was convenient to SM Clark. The AC in the room was great. Safe worked well and bed was comfortable. Wifi speed was adequate. Here are the problems. Water would get barely warm at best. There is a club next door that plays loud music till 5 or 6 am. I don't mind the street sounds but the bass from the speakers really make it difficult to get a good night sleep. I was considering rating it a 3 or 4 but opted for 4 only because the staff were amazing. Always cheerful and greeted me as I left and returned to the hotel.
- Durand (10/5): - Always a great stay with great staff!
- JOB MILLER (8/5): - Price and location to center is good.
- Durand (10/5): - I'm never disappointed
- Durand (10/5): - Always a good stay
- Durand (10/5): - Always a great stay!
- Josephine Gallman (8/5): - Choises as above.I would give a 5 score except for the motor bikes/ tricycles noices coming from the streets
- STEPHEN (10/5): - Excellent Customer Service
- Reggie (8/5): - Great staff and very good basic accommodations.
- Rupert (10/5): - When we asked 4 room service they were prompt and corteous.
- Chubby (10/5): - Professionalism
- Durand (8/5): - As advertised... decent stay for a decent price.
- Ivan Angel De Jesus (6/5): - Not sure where the music came from But there was some coming thru the walls
- William (10/5): - Front desk as always keep me coming back. Very hospitable
- John (10/5): - Overall a good value and location. The only thing is like many hotels in SE Asia what they call a window many times is no more than a view of an internal vertical shaft
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good budget hotel. - A very good 'budget' hotel almost next door to the ABC hotel. Clean and comfortable room.
- thomas (10/5): - this hotel location is near to SM mall and some dinning area
- STEPHEN (10/5): - The staff of Devera Hotel always provided great customer service..
- James (8/5): - ok
- Charles (10/5): - I have stayed at this hotel afew times in 2015... then it had a lot of roaches .. this trip , I stayed 5 days, not one insect. A 5, 10 minute walk to the Mall which has expanded somewhat.
- Robert (10/5): - Value for the money!!!
I liked everything!!! There is absolutely nothing that I did not like!
- Alan (8/5): - The area around the property was bad. There appeared to be numerous clubs that featured women dancers and in fact the hotel apparently sold condoms as there was a list of styles and costs in the room.
That said front desk staff were courteous and helpful and our room was very nice and the bed was comfortable.
We were in Clark for a religous assembly and the surronding environment of the Hotel was an unpleasant piece of a wonderful time
- ARUL (8/5): - Staff are friendly and helpful. No room service for dining.
- TAN KAH (8/5): - Conveniently located along main road, walking distance to walking street and SM mall. Room is clean but a little small. As my room is beside the lift lobby it’s a little noisy especially
- Anthony (10/5): - Super friendly and helpful young lady at reception when i checked in late at night
The room was basic and old. But did the job for one night. However the fridge didnt work, and you could hear noise from the street. Lucky i was very tired and slept thru it after a while. Free WIFI
- Melanie A (4/5): - They upgraded my siblings room and asks them to pay additional coz 4 adults are not allowed to stay in the Junior Suite. However their website didn’t recommend that type of room.
- Mark (2/5): - Roaches, no internet
- Verified traveler (6/5): - This has been my go-to hotel for the past year. Great staff, nice rooms, great location, and reasonable rates. Unfortunately, the new nightclub next door is now causing a lot of booming noise from 10am until past 1am (HOURS past curfew time when they are supposed to be closed)!
This hotel needs to resolve this or they will lose many customers!
- Lewis (10/5): Great location and close to several sports bars - Lovely staff and nice hotel accommodations
- Bnt (10/5): - They are quick to respond to room requests. Great location, walking distance to sm and walking street
- CHOON (8/5): - Good location, good breakfast nearby. Room is bit too small.
- Romy (8/5): - Very affordable for a decent Hotel. Close to everything and SM mall. Hotel restaurant was a little bit slow for service!
- Kelvis (10/5): - No outside view because of room location. Bed had a little too much give.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staff have friendly attitude and always willing to assist.
Location is also a plus.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Customer service was excellent. It is conveniently located near the mall and walking street,
- Verified traveler (8/5): Devera worth the money, will stay again. - Devera hotel staff was wonderful. The room adequately comfortable. However extending stay was almost impossible as they won't let you know in advance that your specific room is reserved for the following day! Except for breakfast, all good. Complimentary breakfast is a joke. May be due to space limitations, no dinner also served, though view from restaurant very good. Get room 900 if available though higher price. Many other rooms have no view as it is next to Eurotel which is best avoided.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great hotel but need new pillows!! - Hotel staff were very friendly and always ready to assist. Food was good, better than alot of hotels for same price range. Stayed in Junior Executive room, had a nice view of SM Mall. Room was clean no funny smells or odours, bed was a little hard for my preference, my only gripe would be the pillows, think they were old pillows as they were flat and not fluffy. Location of hotel is very convenient for those who enjoy walking and not having to spend extra money on transport. All in all hotel was a great value for money!! Would definately stay again on my mext trip.
- Peter (8/5): Great staff and value - Very good value hotel. All staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive to guests. Reception staff we very efficient and helpful.
Room was small but clean and well serviced daily. Slight damp smell from moisture in bathroom. AC worked well.
Recommend.
Note: Area around hotel does have pickpockets!! (I lost a phone in seconds by group of three young boys who are needy, quick and very good at relieving you of valuables) - not a reflection of this good hotel.
- Joerg (10/5): - Great value! Fantastic front office staff, supervisor
- James (4/5): - If you just need a bed to sleep in for the night its ok. If you would like your room to be an enjoyable part of your vacation then avoid this one. Also dining sucked. Food not good.
- SGTraveller (4/5): - 1. Room was tiny, good for one.
2. Hotel's cafe closed at 4.30pm. I had to go to the hotel next door to eat my dinner and early breakfast
- B J (8/5): Angeles get-away. - The staff is friendly and attentive, the rooms clean and made up every day, it close to restaurants and entertainment. We had a great time.
- Servjeet K (6/5): What you book is not what you get - Air con not working. Deposit safe kept on loosing 4 digit password.
However, staff very friendly and helpful.
- Mike (8/5): Great location and great price! - Inexpensive clean hotel, and very friendly staff.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very close to entertainment and restaurants and groceries
- Michael (8/5): - Nice place. Good location. Close enough to the action. I would stay there again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not a decent shower - Shower was not electric type so plenty of water- a pity the water was lukr warm. 3 showers on 3 days at different times times, the shower was pathetic every time. I wouldn't stay again because of this. It isn't hard to heat water. You could easily provide hot water to all with all the money lost from people not staying due to lack of hot water.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - no complain, just that the Jacuzi room is hard to book
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Hotel becomes old
- Donald (6/5): Devera was better 3 years ago now I’m not sure... - The room was small the bed was hard the bathroom was outdated the water was cold. The walls were kind a nasty.
- Daniel (8/5): New year's in Angeles - Stayed here for 3 nights. The location is good and few blocks away from the majority of nightlife madness but close enough that there is plenty of action a short walk down the road. The staff were all nice and accommodating and cleaned the room promptly when I left daily. For a short stay this hotel is decent, not luxury but works for the money.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Second time staying in this hotel. Always a pleasnt stay.
- Jab (8/5): - Very Nice Hotel. Staff are always very helpful and very friendly.
- Euanne (8/5): Not so good for couple who wants to relax - Front desk people are very good and organize and with the guards that very attentive to every guests needs of help especially for luggage’s only thing that i dont like is those chambermaids or room service people they dont know how to act professionally they treated me like those hookers or bar girls around which is i dont feel right. Will greet good morning and hello to foreigners only even if i was out our room before my husband and i was like invisible to them. And noisy around even walking very loud to hear in our room
- Dave (8/5): - Great and I would stay there again in the future. Staff very friendly and helpful i enjoyed my time there. Thank tou.
- Mike (8/5): Nice clean hotel in a great location. - Very nice and friendly staff.
Nice clean room.
Great location.
Very reasonable price.
- Steven (4/5): - Noisiest hotel I have ever stayed in.
The excessive noise from staff and guests amplified up the stairwell was unbearable. Never again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very pleased - We were in a bad mood because the weather was so bad, but even though we arrived 4 hours early they gave us free early check in, we were even upgraded for free. Staff was amazing, front desk and regular service staff. We had a great stay and will return again
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good hotel but small improvements could help - Staff were great, everyone from the door staff to cleaners great you whenever you pass them. Reception were helpful and beds made every day. The hotel itself overall is good quality but it could use a little work, small patches of peeling paint and mould etc. Nothing serious but small things like a too short shower curtain also let it down a bit. Being near the main nightlife area it is noisy with people coming and going all night so more of a hotel for an active person. Overall fairly good for the price, but a few small improvements could make a lot of difference.
- Jeffrey G (6/5): Economical older mid range option - The internet was horrible. Two routers per floor but signal has problem penetrating walls. Every router had different SSID, so we had to login again at lobby, roof and room. Frequent disconnects. Frequent failure to connect. Often reports no internet.
Room is large with adequate furniture and drawers. Building is old so power outlets are scarce. Bathroom is small, not suitable for wheelchair user and slippery when wet. Bed is old and not very comfortable.
Front entry needs modification for handicap access. Sidewalks are obstructed by normal vehicles and should be restricted to scooters plus loading zone. Walking along this stretch of road presents traffic hazards. Hotel needs rear entry and parking on less travelled road. Rooms are not very noisy considering closeness to fields avenue. Free breakfast options are few.
- Nicholas (10/5): - For some reason there always seem to be renovations going on , and there is continual banging going on ,this over a period of 2 years !!
- Steve (10/5): - The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean. Only problem is restaurant closes early around 4:00 pm. Close to walking street and some great food joints.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good location - Location to walking street is good, around 10 mins walk
- Paul (8/5): - Very friendly staff. Walking distance to SM Mall and Walking Street. Rooms are clean. Larfe modern bathroom. Rooms Can get some noise from the street however.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not worth the money. - Not worth the money... stay elsewhere ... horrible hotel...
- David (8/5): Better Than Imagined - For being a three star hotel, this place is not bad at all! My room was very clean and I appreciate that a lot. The rates are great, and they have several room options. Hotel is a good five minute walk from bars and mall. The hotel has an elevator, big plus! Considering there are FOUR receptionists at the front, my check in was a bit slow. They kept asking (persistent) for a voucher from Expedia, something I've never provided to any other hotel booked through the site/app. They already received confirmation from Expedia, why give us such a hard time?
- Nicholas (8/5): - Very poor internet on the 4th floor despite having routers on each floor.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Front desk staff is not professional - Overall the hotel is ok the only problem I really have is that the staff seem to lock the room safe so that they will have to come upstairs to unlock it for you and hope that you will give them a tip. I noticed several other Hotel guests that needed their room safe to be unlocked. The staff is not professional and the hotel is not safe.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel - The hotel is nice overall but find the hotel staff at the front desk unprofessional.
- Verified traveler (8/5): I enjoyed the location minutes from the airport. - Great staff very professional when ever I'm in town this is where I'll be.
- Mark (8/5): - Great staff, friendly helpful.
- Rob (8/5): First stay at this hotel - This hotel had easy access to all the local hot spots.
- Jesh (8/5): Good hotel but needs more improvements. - Please, make a way to have a better parking space.
- Juanito (8/5): A great budget choice - Convenient location (just across shopping mall), furnishing old but clean, wifi signal is stronger than most other hotels
- amarjit (4/5): - This is terrible place to stay
- Alex (6/5): Great stopover hotel - Only on a stopover the night before my flight but stayed here 3 times now. Priced reasonably and perfectly situated for the bars and food
- ken (6/5): good location but noisy - leaking toilet and fixed, small bathroom , good location
- Gerald V (10/5): Great for the value! - Service was great. Employees are friendly and quickly respond to every request. Close to entertainment district. Close to mall
- Howard (8/5): Great place close to everything. - Yearly visit. Fantastic staff that does all it can to make your stay a good one. Rooms are a little on the small size, but location and service make up for it.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The only downside to it was the construction. Other then that I love my stay.
- Emanuel (6/5): It's a Scam! !! - I think they are running a scam. I booked my room through hotels dot com but when I got there they offered me a very poor room. The room smelled of mold, moister and even the towells smelled like they were wet. I complained to the manager and they offered me another room but a lot higher price per night than what hotels dot com quoted me. So needless to say,I had to spend a lot more than I had expected to pay. Now I thought this might have been a coincidence but after talking to a few foreigners who were staying there in the area, they mentioned that the hotel's do that to all foreigners. Hotels dot com should check on this practice because no one will want to book through them. But other than that the service was great.
- Ron (8/5): Nice hotel close to malls and restaurants - This is a good hotel with clean rooms and warm staff
- Richard (8/5): Fine hotel. I will go again - Business and personal trip. Was a good earl on line. Staff was very helpful and spoke very good English. Limited channels on TV. I would stay there again if I return to Angeles City. Highly recommend this hotel to any potential visitors. The local public transportation,i.e. jeepneys are also close to the hotel
- Fernando (6/5): Construction noise nearly every day - Well, usually this hotel is very nice - but this time I had been tortured by construction noise. In the hotel you can read "observe quiet", but this awefull management does not follow their own advice! This is really bad, very bad - I hardly could work and now I am happy, not being tortured any more. Next time other hotel for sure!!!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Please improve your foods.
- Eulando D (8/5): - About the same as my last stay except there was hot water all the time. small bath room, the restaurant hours were no conducive to enjoying the place--08:00AM o 4:00PM. Not comnvenient hours or customer friendly.
- Charles (8/5): very close to everything - the first night was given small room... I asked them to change my room, they said none available, it was a Saturday. They said they could the next day. I was changed to a larger room. I was happy from then. Internet was good. Able to use Viber and Wechat... downloads very slow. Don't expect more. Staff was great. my 2nd stay at Devera. I recommend.
- E D (4/5): A Cruise Ship Bathroom would be a Large One - The Bathroom was very small--even cruise ship standard. No hot water for shaving in the sink. Was told to use the shower for hot water, but it was lukewarm at best.
The restaurant operating hours were not compatible with vacation. The hours were from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. It had a GREAT VIEW, but at 4:00 PM you are in the heat of the day. The hours should be 12:00 to 9:00 PM to take advantage of that beautiful view and the cooler nights by sitting on the balcony/outside on the top floor. Everyone that used the restaurant echoed these or similar sentiments. If you eat at 10 or 11, you do not feel up to eating at 4 in that heat.
