Bed was very comfortable. Location was right in San Mateo main street and very close to everything. Shared bathroom was OK but it was a little away from our room but was available when needed. We were fully informed of this when booking so it was not a surprise.

- Sandrine (6/5): Peut mieux faire - J’ai aimé l’emplacement et la gentillesse de la personne qui m’a accueilli. Les 2 lampes de chevet ne fonctionnaient pas, ou alors ce n’étaient pas les interrupteurs qu’il fallait enclencher. La nuit, on entend tout ce qu’il se passe dans la rue, et jusqu’à minuit : impossible de dormir. J’ai également eu froid la nuit, heureusement, j’ai pu utilisé les draps du lit d’appoint pour avoir suffisamment chaud. Il pourrait être intéressant d’avoir une couverture à disposition dans la chambre (il n’y en avait pas)

Staying in this family owned-home within the city walls was an absolute pleasure Marzia and her staff will greet you with warmth and are so friendly, helpful and efficient. Bearing in mind the 13th century home and the sensitivity to protect the aesthetics and the originality, the amenities were so delicately and beautifully embraced. I will highly recommend this as a place to stay - easy access to everything the city has to offer, and free parking outside the city, makes this one of my favourite places I have ever stayed

Everything was immaculate and everyone was very hospitable. The owner was hugely helpful with parking and a map of the city, also managed to book us a last minute reservation at one of the most scenic restaurants in San Gimignano. It was very close to everything in town, great location. Highly recommend and thank you. I was with my Mum, so twin beds would have been more comfortable for us than a double. I thought I had booked twin beds.

- saad (10/5): Highly recommend - The country is beautiful and very unique. The hotel itself is lovely and exceptionally clean. The owner is a wonderful person who truly cares about providing the best experience for her guests. Upon arrival, she explained everything about the area and gave us great tips on how to enjoy our time. She even provides a special discount for certain places in the city and has her own custom map that includes all the must-visit spots along with their operating hours, which was incredibly helpful. Luggage storage is available Nearby parking is available Very close to the bus station I highly recommend this place! Everything was perfect. We were a group of 11 people, and every single one of us was satisfied and happy with the stay.

Também nos reservaram um restaurante delicioso, bem servido e a um bom preço. As instalações ficam em um Palácio do século XIII, é uma viagem ao passado. A localização é excelente. Recomendo a estadia.

The room is spacious, with vintage and exquisite furniture, and fully equipped. Bianca and Marzia are very enthusiastic, providing local tourist map and helping to recommend and book restaurant (very delicious!). The breakfast at the hotel is also very sumptuous. Everything is perfect, I will come back to this hotel next time if I have the chance!

- Klára (9/5): Honosný dům uprostřed krásného města - Umístění paláce je skvělé. Ubytujete se a máte celé noční město jenom pro sebe. Dům je honosný, paní majitelka si velmi zakládá na tom, že takový dům vlastní a je na to velmi pyšná. Pokoje byly velké, čisté, na 4 pokoje jsme měly jednu koupelnu, ale poradily jsme si. Skvělý byl i obrovský obývák, který jsme měly pro sebe včetně možnosti kávy a vody zdarma. Parkování bylo kousek od domu, mimo centrum. Paní majitelka byla velmi podrobná, předávání pokojů bylo dlouhé, popisy všech možností v okolí se úplně nehodil, přijeli jsme v noci a byly jsme unavené.

Normaal geen probleem maar als iemand 30 minuten de badkamer bezet en je moet naar toilet wel. Mijn blaas kan dit nog wel aan. Ik kwam per fiets en beheerster reageerde hysterisch dat ik fiets even binnen wilde zetten om bagage uit te pakken. Ik beschadigde bijna haar 13e eeuws stenen vloer. Voor mij was dit nieuw. Ik beschadig niets, omdat ik Via Frangicena fiets wilde ik op tijd s’ochtends weg . Ze was er niet om mijn fiets op te halen die 100 meter verder achter slot en grendel stond. Wachten dus.

- Martine (9/5): Magnifique séjour dans cette belle ville grace aussi aux informations de la propriétaire charmante - L'accueil de la propriétaire très disponible et communicative qui nous a expliqué l'historique de sa très belle demeure. Le mobilier, le coin pt jardin, la décoration, tout est en harmonie. Le petit déjeuner copieux et varié est fait maison. La possibilité de garer la voiture sur le parking gratuit à proximité. Cet établissement est très bien situé et toutes les visites sont possibles à pied. Adresse à conserver pour un autre voyage !

El personal amable, servicial y te dan toda la información. Se vuelcan en ayudarte. Escogimos el desayuno y fue totalmente acertado. Con productos locales, embutidos, quesos, un rico café y fruta. Una casa y un servicio encantador, si podemos volver volveremos aquí. Por decir algo por la mañana se oían ruidos de la calle pero es entendible en una casa de época.
- Beth (9/5): We celebrated our wedding anniversary and it felt magical in San Gimangnano! - Very nice and close to the main gate - lovely historic feeling to add to the atmosphere - Great staff and good coffee! They gave great dinner reservations! We struggled to charge our phones with limited plug points in our room - so had to either unplug the fridge or fan which wasn’t ideal. Lucky for us the evening was cool so a fan was sufficient but I think if it was hot it would have been a bit uncomfortable.

This property is elegant and the private courtyard is very special. Upon arrival, I was provided with all of the information that I could want for a great experience in San Gimignano! Breakfast was outstanding!!! Everything was great!

Leider gab es dort einen Tisch der bis in die Nacht von anderen Gästen genutzt wurde. Bei offenem Fenster sehr laut und Tabakrauch im Zimmer. Empfehlung: Spätestens um 22:00 Uhr sollte der Aufenthalt im Lichthof beendet sein, das Rauchen sollte dort untersagt sein.

- Edith (10/5): Book here while in Tuscany - Residenza d'Epoca Palazzo Buonaccorsi is in an amazing location near the center of town. Quick walks to panoramic locations, restaurants and shops. Our hostess, Marzia, allowed us to store our bags while we waited for check in time to approach. She provided us with a map and many recommendations for dining upon check in and pointed out locations to take pictures. The hotel has a hidden patio to enjoy some wine and just relax in the evenings. The best part of our stay was the breakfast. Marzia and her crew delighted us with an amazing breakfast spread of various fresh cheeses, bread, fruit and cereal. As well as many Italian coffee options.

- Michael (9/5): Absolutely wonderful - This is an old Palazzo inside the walled city. I would guess that the building dated from the 1500's, The room was a little weird by US standards but was incredibly charming and interesting. The breakfast was the best we had in Italy. The owner /manager was incredibly helpful and engaging. The hotel had been in her family for generations and she clearly wanted her guests to have the best experience she could provide. If I ever get a chance to go back to San Gimignano, I will definitely stay here again. The bathroom set up was weird with the toilet underneath a staircase and the shower and sink were in the same enclosure but was clean and well maintained. No air conditioning but there was one installed in the room but not hooked up yet.

Peaceful, charming, with wonderful kind people. A little piece of heaven!
