- LouisaSA (8/5): We expected more..... - I stayed in a family room with my mom and my aunt for 4 nights at this hotel. Some things were great and others areas need improvement - we all love great honest reviews so I will do exactly that having emailed hotel direct as well - the gym is fabulous and I wish I had gone and looked on day 1 since i have to keep my back active with stretching and exercise! the gym was so clean, equipment almost new and gym area was great!! The main pool also nice big and worthwhile. The room was spacious but noisy after hours with some hum that starts at 3am and noisy guests also woke us a few times. The reception staff were helpful but not tourist orientated if you looking for excursions/maps and things to do - TA is the place for this - the breakfast also needs some improvement - they need insect or fly fans - the food is same same and you need to explain how you want your eggs cooked and not great juice either - coffee and tea was a no from all of us. Mr Karta was visible and engaged with guests which was nice - I just think more can be done and staff need some additional training esp with breakfast service most dont understand - reception staff were better - arranged a booking at restaurant as well - will do a review on that - no shuttle service from this hotel and we used GRAB cars which presented no issues. Overall it was pleasant but missing a WOW factor and comparing to others

I originally booked 1 night but ended up extending to 5 nights because it was so comfortable. The room was nice and cozy, was also quiet and soundproof. The bathroom was also spacious. The gym was quite complete (even though I only used it once), and the pool was big and great for relaxing. Staffs were really nice and helpful. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would happily come back again.

The check in is fast and I got my room earlier than the normal 3 pm check in time. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The hotel atmosphere feels tropical, relaxed and nice. The room is clean and exactly like the photo. The only down side is I think the lighting is too dim especially on the corridor and the bathroom, as the wall is also dark-coloured.

There are so many great things about it…some of my favorites: 1 ) As a designer I truly appreciate great design and attention to detail. The 1o1 wins in so many aspects. Here is some background for the design enthusiasts: The 1O1 Bali Fontana Seminyak is the rare hotel born from a genuine creative partnership — environmental architect Popo Danes (the two-time ASEAN Energy Award winner who reshaped Balinese design) and Nobuyuki Narabayashi of Tokyo’s legendary Super Potato studio brought their combined brilliance to Seminyak and created something that defies the usual hotel formula. Together, they conceived the hotel around a hotel-gallery concept— every corridor, lobby, and room is a visual statement, not just a space to pass through. From the crispy fresh sheets, waffle robe, the custom slippers to the thoughtfully designed peaceful pool view rooms & the pool, the 1o1 is an amazing value! 2). This was our third time coming to Bali and we always got in after 10pm, really hungry but too late to get any quality food. When you stay at the 1o1, you get to have a delicious meal until really late at night (2am exactly) at their lovely 24/7 hour Sunny16 Cafe. This is just a huge plus. Btw, anyone can hang out at their cafe, so even if you’re not staying at the hotel, you can still have a date or late night work session at Sunny Cafe. 3). The food is just amazing!! Their restaurant Portabella is outstanding. This is not your average continental breakfast…Honestly, the breakfast buffet is so abundant, we were always looking forward to starting the day with it. Fresh fruits, juices, cereal, pancakes and crepes, fruit and salad bar, as well as the local Balinese dishes were always winners. Our absolute favorite dinner experience was the Balinese cultural night on Mondays (we had it twice) with live Gamelan players at Portabella. It literally made both of us fall in love with Balinese food. So many varieties of delicious dishes, and you actually get to experience a wide range of authentic Balinese specialties (and learn their names). While I like the classic Nasi Goreng, this was a next level deep dive into some of the most amazing Balinese dishes ( …and they were sautéed and grilled instead of the usual deep fry elsewhere.) The soups and local deserts were also delicious. At the time of writing, the all you can eat buffet was 195K/ person. A must try!! 4). The award-winning Suma spa on the rooftop is a beautiful sanctuary inspired by Japanese gardens. The whole space has a minimalist, Japanese aesthetic and the massages we got there were amazing. Apparently, you can even have a whole day experience getting pampered for 5 hours! We heard that people fly in from Japan for that one alone. The staff is the best! Always attentive, kind & smiling, they set the bar high for other hotels. I want to shout out Nia, Yuli, Gopi, Desi & Dida and truly everyone else whose name I didn’t capture. A+++++ It’s clear that we really loved the 1O1, as you can see from my whole novel long review. But for real, this is an amazing place with great value…we’ll definitely be back next time.

From the moment I arrived, the property made a strong impression. Juni and the entire front desk staff are excellent! The architecture and interiors are beautifully curated, with contemporary art thoughtfully integrated throughout the space, giving the hotel a distinct creative energy. Every detail was considered here. Special thanks to Nia and the management team for welcoming us with open arms. The rooms are equally impressive—clean, spacious, and designed with both comfort and style in mind. The robes and slippers added that extra layer of ease and luxury, making it effortless to unwind after a full day exploring Bali. Every detail felt intentional and elevated. Dining at Portabella Restaurant was a highlight of the experience. The food is absolutely delicious, especially the Balinese dishes, which are rich in flavor and prepared with care. What truly made it special, though, was the service. The staff are outstanding—warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. A special thank you to Desi, who went above and beyond to ensure every moment at the restaurant was memorable. Her kindness and professionalism truly stood out. The overall atmosphere of the hotel is beautiful—relaxed yet refined, creative yet comfortable. The lighting at night is luxurious and warm. It’s the kind of place that invites you to slow down and fully enjoy where you are. A true 5-star experience. I look forward to returning when I come back to Bali.

- anggamahardika (10/5): Perfect Family Staycation at THE 1O1 Bali Fontana Seminyak - My family and I had a wonderful staycation at THE 1O1 Bali Fontana Seminyak. The place feels very calm and cozy, and all the staff were very warm and welcoming. A big applause for Pak Aris, the FOM. He explained everything clearly and treated us really well. His service truly felt like first-class, and he is a great leader and role model. Room service was also excellent, and there was one young and energetic lady (I think she might be an intern) who served us during breakfast—she was amazing and very attentive. These staff members are truly valuable assets to the property. My son loved the pizza and snacks so much! Overall, our stay was great and memorable. This is a highly recommended place to spend quality time with your loved ones.

- PhoebeNJ (10/5): Awesome mini break - We came for a mini break. Very affordable hotel with great service at a fabulous location. We made use of the room service when it was raining too much to go out and we also made use of the spa service on the top floor. Amazing 2 hour massage before popping back to the airport to return home. The rooms are spacious and clean and the staff friendly. There is a lovely bakery a short walk away and a karaoke lounge next door! What more could we ask for??!! Definitely will come back here again!

- 180deryak (10/5): Amazing - If you’re looking for a hotel in Bali, I definitely recommend @the1o1balifontana very comfortable, centrally located, close to the airport, and with an amazing breakfast . The New Year decorations are absolutely beautiful and truly make you feel the holiday spirit. My room had direct pool access, and I also got to enjoy the Christmas dinner, which made the experience even more fun . I tried some delicious food at @sunny16cafe, especially Indonesian dishes. The desserts and cocktails were amazing too… If you’re planning a trip to Bali, don’t forget to save this hotel.

The room was clean, comfortable, and well designed, with a cozy bed and spotless bathroom. The pool and garden area create a calm, relaxing atmosphere, especially at night. What impressed me most was the staff, very responsive, efficient, and quick in handling any requests or complaints. Their service was professional and truly satisfying. Highly recommended for a comfortable stay in Bali.

The room is spacious even for the basic room, clean, and well maintained I like the atsmosphere, u feel like in the park with a lot of plants. The staff are very helpfull and kind. One of the staff Gopi help me with my luggage. Definetely will come back to 101 fontana in the future.

- blurfrans (8/5): Hotel in a busy area but quiet and warm - I stay for 5D/4N. Stayed overnight in room 118. I was hoping to get a room with a balcony but I didn't. The room was large but the TV noise from the next room was disturbing probably because position the room was connecting. The bathroom great with dark and brown color. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very warm and there is traditional Balinese music played by one of them blind man. The food ok and coffee nice. Location in busy area which the best culinary, souvenir shop, minimarket and pharmacy.

I stayed in the **Deluxe Pool View** room, and the moment I walked in, I was greeted with beautiful **jungle and tropical vibes**. The room felt cozy, refreshing, and calming — exactly what I needed for a quick escape. Waking up to the pool view and greenery was honestly so adorable and soothing for the soul. The hotel itself has so many facilities that make the stay even better. I tried the **Balinese Massage 60 minutes** at **Suma Spa**, handled by **Cindy**, and it was AMAZING — she really knew how to release all the tension and made me feel completely relaxed. They also have a gym, spa, Sunny 16 Café, a kids room, swimming pool, and more, so you’ll never run out of things to do during your stay. Everything felt well-maintained and thoughtfully designed. Breakfast was another highlight! There were **lots of options to choose from**, and I was assisted by **Desak**, who was incredibly kind and helpful. She even helped me find my favorite yogurt — such a small detail but it made my morning so much better. All the staff I met were warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. For the price point, this hotel is definitely worth it. I’d love to come back for another staycation! 🌿💛
