- Patti (9/5): We had a very pleasant experience, much like staying in our home, with the luxury of someone else taking care of things - The winding drive into the easily accessible guest house. Clear directions to find our room. The Eastman was our room which was tastefully decorated like it belonged in a BHG magazine. Healthy indoor plants decorated the spaces. We could hear pattering of feet above us that let us know there were others in this big farm house. A clean, private & large bathroom was ours for the three days. We had breakfast with others across the sidewalk into another home. The coffee was hot & just strong enough. A variety of breakfast foods served soon after we had our coffee by John, the owner. His wife, Karen came in later to visit with us. We had a very pleasant experience, much like staying in our home, but with the luxury of someone else taking care of things.

From the moment we arrived, everything felt perfect—the house is spotless, incredibly comfortable, and decorated with such amazing taste that you instantly feel at home. Every little detail is so well thought out, you can tell the hosts truly care about their guests’ experience. The surroundings are absolutely stunning—waking up to that view every morning felt like stepping into a postcard. The hosts themselves were nothing short of amazing: warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. And the breakfast… wow. Fresh, delicious, and the perfect start to each day. I can honestly say we didn’t want to leave. Everything about this place exceeded our expectations, and we’ll definitely be coming back. Highly, highly recommend!

Really nice breakfast, was a better value then pretty much any hotel in the area. Not so much a didn't like, first morning shower was pretty cold. Staff were very good, receptive and went to look immediately. Shower next day was warm, but water never got really warm. Other than that, it was a really good stay.

- Debby (10/5): Beautiful clean Inn where we were pampered. - The place has so much charm and beauty. The rooms are beautifully decorated. The beds are comfy with clean and crisp bedding. Bathrooms are spacious and clean. I love the common areas where you can find a place to sit quietly and read or play a board game. Coffee and filtered water (with ice) was always available. Breakfast was amazing and our host was so kind and helpful.

It is located about 1/2 hour from downtown Indy and right in the beautiful suburb of Fishers. Our room was very comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. The breakfast was delicious. Will stay there again when we are in the area.

- Susan (10/5): The Perfect Stay - EASY check-in! The decor was lovely. Every time I contacted the Prairie Guest House, the owners were friendly, helpful, and very respectful of my query or request. If I was not speaking directly with someone, they quickly responded to me. Breakfast was prepared by John and was delightful... Quiche, scones, bacon, potatoes, fresh fruit, & juice. Yummy! Truly, my friends and I thoroughly enjoyed everything!

We found a space heater in the closet. The temperature was in the single digits, so the room was chilly. The mattress was not comfortable.

We found it easily and it was very conveniently located. Breakfast was beautifully presented and very tasty. The owners and housekeeper were lovely friendly people. We would definitely recommend a stay here. It’s down to personal preference but we found the mattress extremely hard and would have liked a topper on it.

- Louise (6/5): - Great historic building, partially, the majority is a later addition. My room was a good size, the bathroom very large, and everything was clean. There is no thermostat to control the room temp, so it was freezing. I texted the owner, who turned up the heat, but then I sweated all night! Room temp control is crucial. Also, there is no parlor or main meeting room, in which to sit and relax. Breakfast was delicious, but the seperate tables are impersonal, but fine for those who prefer to keep to themselves. Some of our most lovely B&B memories are of chatting with others over breakfast. As the inn keeper does not meet one, upon arrival, it lacks that personal attention to detail other B&B's posess. In reality, this is a hotel room in a quiet, residential neighborhood, but not a high end, luxurious B&B, if that is what you are seeking.

The guest house is a little slice of quiet cottage life right outside a large metro area. Self check in is great. There is coffee and ice available 24 hrs. Breakfast was very impressive and had generous portions.

The room was lovely, clean, quiet and comfortable. Well appointed. Entry instructions were perfect, it was easy to admit ourselves. Service at breakfast was very friendly and attentive, with extra servings of anything we asked for. The sheets were a little rough.

- Kathryn (7/5): Nice, but food intolerances made unknown breakfast tricky for our stay - The bed and breakfast was very cosy. It was an incredibly cold day and night, but the B&B was able to maintain its temperature fairly well. The bed was pretty comfortable and it was easy to access. The breakfast was served in a very nice room and the food was good. We could tell the B&B was busy based on the number of other parked cars; however, we did not hear much noise at all from any neighboring rooms. The shower in our bathroom seemed clean, but there was red bacterial growth around the creases between the shower wall and the bottom basin. It would have been great to have an additional blanket as well as a hair dryer. There was no hair dryer in the room. Lastly, one of us has several food intolerances/allergies. The host couldn't remember exactly what was in the food and misunderstood some of the allergies. It would have been nice to have had an option to read ingredients or to really be sure of what was in the food on the plate being served at breakfast.
