- Luca (1/5): Bruttissima zona - Siamo arrivati in una zona di Catania che si è rivelata subito molto degradata. Appena scesi dall’auto ci siamo trovati circondati da persone dall’atteggiamento poco rassicurante, e l’atmosfera generale ci ha fatto sentire immediatamente a disagio. Per prudenza siamo risaliti in macchina senza indugiare e ci siamo allontanati, scegliendo di soggiornare in un’area decisamente più tranquilla. La struttura è collocata in una zona decisamente degradata

- GIUSEPPE (10/5): eccezionale - Alessandro e Luisa sono stati molto gentili e disponibili, ci hanno dato ottimi consigli su cosa visitare e dove mangiare. La stanza era pulita, con letti comodi e ben attrezzata. Il condizionatore era nuovo e raffreddava in pochi minuti. La posizione è perfetta, vicina a tutto: attrazioni, ristoranti e mezzi pubblici come l’Alibus, che si prende appena fuori dall’aeroporto, ferma proprio davanti alla struttura. La colazione era abbondante e varia, con scelte sia dolci che salate. mi sono trovata benissimo 😊

- Manrique (10/5): Great stay. - I love the room. It is HUGE and it's beautifully decorated. The bathroom was very clean. It's right in front of the market, but just 15 min away from downtown Catania. Catania was a surprise (the duomo and all the monumentos are stunning). Our stay in the BnB was very pleasant. Breakfast is enough, but it is the Italiano way (just a pastry and coffee or tea).

Le logement est effectivement à 5minutes de la via Etnea, artère principale de Catania dans 1 quartier très défavorisé. Le petit déjeuner compris dans le prix du logement doit se prendre dans un café du coin qui offre peu de variété, il faut chercher un lieu où déposer les bagages.

- Enrico_b61 (8/5): Excellent location and comfortable rooms but with a few minor inconveniences - B&B in a good location, a short walk from Via Etnea and the city center. The room was spacious and tidy. The owner was friendly and helpful. For those traveling by car, there is a covered, open, and guarded 24/7 parking lot very close by and very cheap. The B&B is in the heart of the "Fera del Luni" market area. Very early in the morning, the arrival and preparation of the stalls begin, which generates quite a lot of noise, despite the good insulation of the windows. Breakfast is offered at an external café a stone's throw from the B&B. The quality of the breakfast is good, but it only includes one sweet or savory pastry (cornetto) and one drink (coffee, cappuccino, or juice), while all other extras are subject to an additional charge.

Alessandro eccezionale, oltre ad averci guidato alla struttura, ci ha fornito tutte le informazioni necessarie per poter visitare la città e i suoi dintorni, proponendo lui stesso delle attività se ci si vuole rilassare senza rinunciare a qualche gita fuoriporta. Per chi arriva in macchina le stanze si trovano vicinissime ad un parcheggio su più livelli. Unica vera pecca è la zona, seppur è in una posizione centralissima a veramente due passi dalla via del passeggio e ristoro, non infonde serenità e sicurezza nel rientrare la sera.

- Daniel (7/5): - No nos gustó Catania para nada. La zona del B&B tiene una feria y por la mañana es imposible caminar, por la tarde queda toda la basura. La ciudad está tapada de basura. Realmente no es un lugar lindo para visitar.
- Ana (8/5): - Central location, clean apartment, and very hospitable and helpful host :) Great value for money! Close to both the bus and train stations! It is a bit tricky to reach the apartment through the stall market, but you quickly adjust to it :)
- Joachim (6/5): Chambre confortable mais problème de sécurité - La chambre est plutôt confortable. Il y a tout ce qu'il faut . Le centre historique est à une petite dizaine de minutes à pied. Facile Gros soucis avec la sécurité des chambres. Les clés se récupèrent dans un boîtier. Lorsque nous sommes revenus fin de soirée, il n'y avait plus de clé dans notre boîtier. Nous nous sommes rendus compte que tous les boîtiers s'ouvraient avec le même code. Nous avons donc dû prendre les clés d'un autre boîtier ainsi qu'une carte de secours pouvant ouvrir toutes les chambres à la réception ( où nous n'avons jamais vu personne) pour pouvoir rentrer dans notre chambre. On a fini par me dire par message que c'était une erreur d'un autre client qui s'était trompé de clé. Mais nous avons dit que ce n'était pas normal que tous les codes soient les mêmes . Le lendemain, ils ont changé les codes de tous les boîtiers. Personnel inexistant. Nous n'avons jamais croisé personne. Par ailleurs, nous avons croisé deux français dont l'établissement a annulé la réservation sans motif en dernière minute . Si les chambres étaient correctes, il y a un gros manque de sérieux du personnel. Je n'ai jamais rencontré un problème de la sorte nul part, et je voyage beaucoup !

- Filippo (8/5): - Die Unterkunft ist soweit Okay, aber das jeden Morgen um 6 Uhr ein Markt aufgebaut wird und dass es danach ausschaut wie auf einer Müllkippe, dass sagt niemand!!! Das Frühstück ist nicht im Haus, dass ist in einem Caffee um die Ecke, aber das fanden wir ganz nett. Die Zentrale Lage des Hotel's hat das Negative vom Marktaufbau und den Müll wieder gut gemacht!!! Fazit, wenn man nicht so viel Wert auf Schicki/Micki legt kommt man damit klar !!! Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit, Top Die Zimmer sind Sauber und funktionell eingerichtet!! Parkplatz gibt's vorm Hotel nicht, da muss man 500 m vorher suchen und es ist alles Kostenpflichtig, aber nicht so teuer Mit Abstrichen ein gutes Hotel!! Gruß Filippo

On my departure day as I was leaving late that night he made arrangements for me to stay in the same room for an extra charge.

I did not have a phone and was travelling when emails sent for codes and thankfully another guest was kind enough to help us get into the building and check us in. It was a little shocking because we arrived as the market closed and it looked a little sketchy but it turned out to be a great location and totally safe. What would be an option to check in without telephone or internet

Took care of us, arranged Etna and Taormina day trip, checked in with us daily to make sure everything is going well. Location is perfect, right at the main piazza. breakfast was at the Cafe around the corner. everything is convenient from here. bus stop is in front of the Cafe. vendors right outside of the building. loud until late night.

- Cameron (10/5): - Beautiful B&B at the centre of Catania. Everything is in walking distance. The old market outside is a nice touch. The bed was comfortable and the aircon works a treat.
- Pavlos (6/5): - The room was spacious and cosy. However, the owner was completely irresponsible and unhelpful when issues related to the property arose. During cleaning, the housekeeper likely threw away my friend's pills. When we informed the owner, he began searching the trash (as if something usable could be found there), and when he didn’t locate them, he acted as if I wasn't speaking to him, totally ingoring me and not understanding English! His behavior was utterly rude and unhelpful. When we threatened to contact Expedia, he suddenly offered to buy the pills and told us to wait in the room. We waited in the room for an hour and a half until I called him, only to discover he had no intention of purchasing the pills. Instead, he was in town taking care of his own business. My friend needed to take the pills within a specific timeframe, and the owner didn't consider it important to inform us that he was not actually getting them as promised, leaving us waiting in the room. Eventually, while he agreed to pay for the pills (which is the right thing to do when items go missing on your property), he refused to pay more than what they cost in our home country. This is unacceptable because we wouldn’t have incurred these expenses if the housekeeper hadn’t thrown them away in the first place. His behavior was unacceptable for someone in the hospitality industry and outrageous! Proper guest care is essential to ensure a pleasant stay. Avoid this place if you don't want to spoil your holidays!
- Sára (9/5): I recommend it. - It is close to the city center, wonderful corridor, nice, tidy, well-equipped rooms. Kettle and tea, mineral water prepared. Double soundproof curtains. Equipped bathroom, bidet. Symbolic but delicious breakfast in a nearby cafe. You can't park in front of the house, because the market vendors unload at dawn. The street is not very trustworthy, it is littered. However, this did not spoil our mood, we would go back.
- Margo (9/5): Exploring Catania in a short time - The communication with the host was excellent, we have received all necessary advices on how to get to the location, where to park our car. The public parking is just around the corner. The host waited for us in front of the building for easy finding the apartment. The rooms were very comfortable, equipped with a small fridge, security box, water, kettle, tea, towels, toiletries. Beds were comfortable. What is also an advantage of the apartment is the location - close to the city center, walking distance to the Catania cathedral, Teatro Bellini and different restaurants and bars. It is a great place to explore Catania. Nothing actually to point out.

- Louise (8/5): Close to centre. - The host appears to own or manage the entire floor of the building. Rooms were side by side, well equipped and clean. Ideal if travelling in group or with family. Access to the facility was a little difficult due to markets being located directly out front of the building in the street below. The markets are there up until 1pm - so arrival is easier after that time. There was no noise heard from the market set up or dismantle. Markets included fresh fruit & veg, shoes and clothing etc.
- Linda (8/5): Great Location & Continental Breakfast - Location was great. Walking distance to Old Town, subway station nearby and right in the middle of a huge flea market that opens daily (except Sundays). If you like bargain hunting as well as shopping for fresh fruits and vegetables, you'll love it. First night we didn't know there is a layer of room darkening/ noise reduction panel IN FRONT of the sheers, so it was very bright & a bit noisy in the morning, and we could not sleep-in even though we were very tired. We also did not know we have to manually turn on the air-conditioning, so it was uncomfortable. After we figured out everything, 2nd nights on-wards was fine. Place is a bit outdated but location is great & building is secured. Also we like the fact that continental breakfast is at a coffee shop nearby and there is no cut-off time, so we can sleep-in & still can get breakfast. Another thing we found out after a day or so is that you can get whatever coffee and pastry/sandwich they have on menu for your breakfast. At first, we thought it was choice of coffee and croissant only. Overall pleasant stay for budget style accommodation.
- Sylvain (3/5): We did not feel comfortable or safe and it was not worth it! - The room was okay It was very difficult to enter the building and there were many steps to follow with very unclear descriptions. The host appeared 3h later than what he had said and made us pay the room at his own desired time. The location is not very comforting and as young adults we felt very unsafe. The breakfast was a piece of paper where we had to go to a bar and order there (only available for the stay in the hotel a piece of bakery and one thing to drink). The worst thing was probably the location and the entrance to the building because of the sketchy neighbourhood. Everyday there is a market happening right under the room, meaning there is a lot of fuss and no peace and quiet. The cheapness is not worth it! SPEND SOME EXTRA MONEY ON A BETTER PLACE AND YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT

- Jindra (7/5): Good - Location is above busy cheasy market. The place was quiet just between 2-6 AM. We also didn't understand this part of the city as safe. But the place was okay so far. Price/value balance was acceptable. Property is old, not very maintained, location is nothing you travel for. But the vibe of the local life is there I guess authentic.

- Krzysztof (10/5): A small hotel in the very center of Catania. - A hotel with only 4 rooms. In the very center of Catania, right next to Stesicoro Square, right next to the market. Rooms cleaned every 2 days. Breakfast at the nearby Caffè Bellini (one coffee and one croissant).
- Monika (10/5): perfect location for exploring Catania, clean and big room, flexible owner - central location, located right on the market, windows are isolated so no disturbing noises, the room was clean even we got cleaning and fresh towels after the second day, room and bathroom were big, bed was comfortable, airconditioner for heating as well, friendly and helpful staff, we could leave our luggage there after check out till 17.30 and we got a separate key for this, good explanation how to enter the room, tips for restaurant and places to visit

- Jeff (1/5): Scarry, Street fight, find another neighborhood close by - The description and fancy picture of coffee and breakfast... but that is outside, through the roughneck groups of men lingering on every corner, and two blocks away. Pictures lie. Flat sits smack in the middle of a rough neighborhood with men shouting, fighting, and staring at my girls like wolves as we excited their hood. Being former military, the area appeared controlled at every corner by groups of males posting as watchmen and shouting to the next group of men as we passed through their turf. Not a place to relax and enjoy. The property manager was not on site at check-in, instructions sent vie WhatsApp

- Toni (10/5): Highly recommend, a great location with amazing service. - The location was perfect, so close to the main centres of town, amazing squares and restaurants. Alessandro was the perfect host and went out of his way to help us with parking (you cannot drive or park as there are markets on in the street) and then organised a car for very early pickup for airport. The service alone deserves a 10! Room was spotlessly clean with comfortable bed, it was so lovely to have tea and coffee making in the room. There was some noise from the street during the night.

El ruido empieza a las cinco o las seis de la mañana y dura hasta la tarde, pero entonces llegan los camiones de la limpieza. La habitación no está mal por el precio que cobran. El desayuno es en un bar que está en otra calle: un café y una pieza de bollería.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - la habitación estaba limpia, la localizacion es inmejorable estas en el centro, por supuesto en los centro de las ciudades hay un poco de ruido con los mercados etc, pero para nada un problema. Si vas en coche hay un parking por 10 euros el dia a 200 metros. Las recomendaciones del staff son muy buenas y todo fue muy bien hasta que encontramos 8 o 10 mosquitos en la habitación. Cuando contacte con la persona responsable me recomendo que comprara algo para matarlos en el supermercado porque ellos no tenian. Esta respuesta esta fuera de lugar bajo mi punto de vista. Si no tienes un producto para matar mosquitos, se tiene que comprar uno y dejarlo en el B&B para el futuro uso de otros usuarios. Total, que compre un bote y me lo lleve de vuelta para casa. Lo dicho, excepto el inaceptable comportamiento del bote para matar mosquitos, lo demas perfecto.
