The level of care and attentiveness was second to none. I had arrived with a terrible cold and Shazad noticed and recommended a fresh ginger, lemon tea. It was so heartfelt and kind, I was genuinely taken aback and grateful. Ajilt was always kind, and welcoming. Nothing was ever too much. We really did feel looked after very well. Last of all Tepy was so sweet, she made us the best omelettes in the morning, it’s going to be a hard adjustment coming back with all the delicious food and variety. Our room was large, spacious, and absolutely perfect for the four of us—plenty of space to relax, unpack, and actually enjoy being together without feeling cramped, which is no small thing when travelling as a family. What really sets this hotel apart, though, is the service. In every single area of the hotel—housekeeping, restaurants, bars, reception—the service was consistently above expectations. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Every request was met with warmth, efficiency, and genuine care. Yes, the hotel is pricey, and the food and drinks do come with a noticeable markup. But honestly? If that’s what funds this level of service, then so be it. The value here is in how you’re treated. I even witnessed guests being blatantly rude to staff, yet the team remained polite, tolerant, respectful, and professional, continuing to meet those guests’ needs with smiles intact. That speaks volumes about the culture and training at this hotel. A very special mention goes to Demly, our housekeeping assistant. I genuinely looked forward to our daily interactions. He was warm, kind, and thoughtful—and the little towel animals he made for the kids each day were such a lovely touch and brought them so much joy. It’s those small, personal details that make a stay memorable. All in all, Sofitel The Palm delivers luxury not just through its setting and rooms, but through exceptional people. I would highly recommend booking a suite on a half board basis. The premier lounge for breakfast and refreshments during the day is fantastic and the dine around menu in the restaurants is excellent. The suites are large and beautiful my only gripe being the artwork looks straight out of ikea and really cheap looking. My only other issue with the hotel is the design of the pool, it has a deep area in the middle which renders a large portion of the pool useless. It lakes the pool appear busier than it is because everyone has to congregate along the beach edges. I have stayed at the hotel 4 times and would highly recommend it for couples or families.

The food at the hotel is very nice but if you have fussy eaters in your group this isn't the place. Overall this is a very nice hotel bit very expensive,trips and experiences are double the price of online version for the same experience.

The beach and grounds are all kept to a pristine standard and everything including the room was constantly cleaned to a professional finish, special shout out to to Kamal and Anil who always made sure our rooms were cleaned to that level. The restaurants are all incredible, personally our favourite was Moana, great seafood, special shout out to Umesh and Deepak for taking such good care of us. No road noise (and we stayed on the side of the hotel that faces the road). Cleanliness was all fantastic and the laundry service was excellent.

At Laguna Beach Restaurant, my sincere thanks to Vipin, Marco (Assistant Manager) and Artemis (the new Manager at Laguna) for their warm hospitality and attentive service. At Porterhouse, many thanks to Binoy (Manager and Crêpe Suzette expert!) and Tek — we enjoyed a wonderful dinner, including a perfectly prepared Tomahawk that we truly appreciated. For breakfast at the Premier Lounge, thank you to Elena (Manager) for the friendly welcome every morning — the Eggs Benedict were especially lovely. A big thank-you as well to the Culinary team — Executive Chef Daniel and his brigade, and Chef Akshay (Executive Pastry Chef) — for the consistently delicious cuisine and beautiful presentations. Our gratitude also goes to Subash, our butler, for his kindness, availability, and thoughtful assistance throughout our stay. Although traffic is tricky until past the Atlantas when driving out on the Palm, the position is well worth it. The view, beach side is so pretty and iconic. The Rooms are large, very comfortable and incredibly clean. Aminul our HouseKeeper went above and beyond during our stay. The room was presented and maintained beautifully. Well done Aminul, I am forever grateful. The Sofitel although on the higher end of our budget, was well worth every single cent. The staff across the entire resort were professional, polished, friendly and sensitive to guests needs. A wonderful holiday and an amazing New Year’s celebration into 2026! Well done ACCOR…. Happy to sing this hotel’s praises!
- explorersrh (10/5): Celebrated twins 16th birthday and had a great experience at Sofitel Dubai The Palm - We had a faultless 10 night stay at Sofitel Dubai The Palm over Christmas where we experienced first class customer service and outstanding hospitality. It really was a wonderful stay in a spacious 2 bed apartment room 7202 which overlooked the kids club & kids pool. We dined at ALL of the restaurants and were always greeted with a smile and sampled delicious food. Drinks were reasonably priced and the ice cream pop ups were a nice treat. Some staff that really stood out were Sejawit & Simran at buffet breakfast; Vijayan and his towel/canbana team; Ruffa at Hong Loong always went above and beyond; Navdeep’s suggestions at Zoya/Maui were good; Jaypee and Rizwan were always fun and had positive vibes as the doormen; Adel at concierge was very reliable; Elena managed the Premier Lounge with excellence and Sharon at guest relations was a superstar who helped us organise surprise celebrations for my twin daughters celebrating their 16th birthday! Lots of other workers too. Thank you all so much. The only minor issue was at Replay bar when Aushan covered his colleague’s break and offered me a free shot of vodka whilst I was watching football BUT when he left, his colleague charged me and suggested Aushan should not have said it was free. I paid but they need to communicate better in that sports bar! On the whole, 10/10 with great location, pools, restaurants and high quality levels of customer service. I highly recommend this hotel if you are staying on The Palm.

Our junior suite was beautiful and kept spotlessly clean by Aminul, who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable - remembering exactly how we liked things, including our favourite coffee, pillows, toiletries and so many other thoughtful personal touches. - HK84HK (6/5): Could be so much better.... - I have stayed at all of the luxury hotels along Palm and many in Dubai, this site shows as a 5 star hotel but the service offering is way below standards. The people is what makes the hotel. I have never come across so many moody and miserable staff, hardly anyone acknowledges you with a Good Morning, Hello etx. The bell boys at front act like a gang from India and start talking in own languages amongst selfs when you ask them questions. Rooms are OK. Food quality ok ish but the chefs are a disgrace. Wouldn't hire any of them at a 5 star property. Prakesh is the only decent staff working in the restaurant and is levels above this poorly run joint. Gym is nice, spacious but dirty. Swimming pools, plenty BUT scandalous that not heated - its a disgrace! During our stay when temperatures are 21, 22, 23 you must have pool temp between 30 - 32. The fact that hardly anyone using pool from midday, isn't that a massive red flag to management? When raised with lifeguards who would rather sit sneakily on mobiles, they say the pool temperatures will not be increasing from 28degrees as senior management get angry with costs! That was a common answer. In my honest view this hotel is at best 3 STARs and way too much improvement needed starting with staff attentiveness, attention, attitudes and behaviours.
