- Crt187 (10/5): Great Art Deco Hotel in a Perfect Location. - A great little Art Deco hotel in an excellent location, just minutes from Collins Avenue and Lincoln Road Mall. This was my second stay here, and it certainly won’t be my last. The swimming pool was a lovely temperature, and there were always plenty of comfortable sun loungers available. Breakfast was tasty and a great way to start the day. The staff were polite, professional and friendly throughout our stay—especially Marcos, who was particularly helpful and eager to please. I would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to returning again.

- L_K1509 (8/5): Location! - Location is the biggest selling point. In a lovely quiet street, minutes away from the beach, Lincoln avenue, trolley buses and tour buses like big bus. Loads of bars, shops and restaurants an easy stroll away. The hotel is not big, but it is big on service. Friendly staff and a bright open foyer. Our room was a good size, with a compact bathroom. We didn’t use the coffee maker, as we prefer tea. Which we were able to get freely in reception. Only negative for me - our room smelt of overpowering bleach, I mean really strong, when we arrived. Plus as you can’t open the window it was awful. Never had this in a hotel before. I’m all for cleanliness but there are so many lovely products to use, not pure strong bleach! The pool was lovely, like bath water and so relaxing. We spent our last day by the pool. I would recommend this hotel and stay again.

The location is brilliant — the whole area feels safe and comfortable, with Lincoln Road’s shops and places to eat just a five‑minute walk away. Public transport is easy too. The hotel itself is spotless and beautifully maintained. Lovely design, very clean, and clearly well looked after. The staff have all been really nice, and the swimming pool is wonderfully warm — practically bath temperature. A few thoughtful touches: • Free tea and coffee at reception 24 hours a day • No smoking except in the designated area • Everything feels calm, tidy, and well run We’d happily recommend it. A small note for fellow guests from GB: Remember there’s hotel tax (standard across the US), and of course the tipping culture. We did our best to follow what American guests were doing — though with so many Brits around, hopefully everyone understands we’re still think should be in your wages ( but it’s your culture )

We requested a ground floor room as there are no lifts, but were told there were none available. Surprisingly the couple who were checking in behind us were given a ground floor room! Everywhere is "tired" and definitely in need of decorating. The drain smell in the courtyard by the pool and reception area were very off- putting. The room was spacious and reasonably clean but again in dire need of renovation and new furniture. The windows were constantly condensated spoiling what little view we had of the street. This hotel is in a quiet street which was the only pleasant thing going for it

- Discover36909439895 (10/5): Fantastic stay - This is 4th hotel we have stayed at in the area and the best so far, Pestana exceeded our expectations. Lovely clean room, nice pool with extremely comfortable sun loungers, excellent location and the staff were fantastic! Ruan, Carlos, German, Andreia, Darwin and all the other staff including the cleaning lady I spoke to are a credit to the hotel and make it special. Tea, coffee and water are complimentary and we were able to store our luggage after we checked out. We will definitely return.

- jahiln (2/5): Staff was not pleasant - Booked this hotel last minute and arrived within about 90 minutes of making the reservation. At the front desk, staff refused to charge the credit card used to guarantee the booking and insisted I provide a new card at a rate of $340. While standing there, I checked availability and saw the exact same hotel publicly advertising rooms for $220 for the same night. I asked to receive that rate and was refused. I then asked to cancel, but they cited a 48-hour cancellation policy, even though the reservation had just been created. I was told the card could be charged if I walked away, but not if I stayed. I left and booked elsewhere. The experience felt like pressure tactics, not hospitality.

Ironically, considering the fact that we’ve only been to Miami once previously and the fact that there must be hundreds of hotels in Miami we were in the same hotel so it’s our second visit here. I wouldn’t say it’s 4 star - definitely more 3 star. The pros and cons are as follows: Pros *Good location - situated on a quiet street-handy for the beach and the main strip. *Rooms clean and well equipped with comfy queen size bed, large tv, fridge, safe and good air con *Use of complimentary vouchers for the beach - 2 sun-beds and a beach umbrella at an allocated area only a 5 min walk away *Pool/beach towels provided *Coffee, tea, water freely available in Reception Staff v helpful Cons *Reception somewhat pokey and smelled of drains *Cafe small and basic *Breakfast expensive $25 dollars and a v limited selection - only hot items available were scrambled eggs and cocktail size sausages and then a limited selection of cereals, cooked meats and pastries *Restaurant? (Cafe)/bars were closed on the day of arrival - not great when you’ve travelled for 16 hours straight and just want something quick to eat and drink to avoid having to go out *Nice size pool but as it’s surrounded by the room blocks it gets limited sun *Insufficient Sun-beds and as they had towelling covers they were always damp to sit/lay on

The staff is very friendly and helpful and this time we had a great help from Andre, who arranged a nice room since we arrived earlier at the hotel. We highly recommend this Pestana to everyone!

We’re accustomed to five-star hotels as we enjoy luxury travel, however considering we had booked a cruise ‘package’ we had to go with one of the hotels that came with the package. We chose this one as it had decent reviews. Pros; it’s in a lovely location - not on the busy streets near the beach, but still within walking distance. Rooms were basic but the bed was comfortable and room a decent size. Cons; hotel seems a little ‘dated’ - like it could do with a refurb. No lifts (elevators) in our building. Walls were thin so we heard other guests coming and going. Small, little things that don’t usually go noticed - including a broken safe, shower door didn’t close, tv took two days to be reset, smell of sewage in the reception area. Overall, it’s a decent hotel. You get what you pay for; basic, affordable, comfortable. I certainly wouldn’t say it’s a four-star hotel as mentioned online - more like 2/3 star. Would we stay here again? Maybe - although there are so many other hotels to choose from in the area.

Every aspect of my stay has been perfect—the accommodations, the attentive staff, and the fantastic location near Miami Beach, Lincoln Road, and Espanola Way. Breakfast has been a delightful experience, featuring fresh fruits, yogurt, scrambled eggs, bread, and oysters. I wholeheartedly recommend this gem!

Hotel has a lovely breakfast buffet if you care to partake the room was very spacious the bed very comfortable plenty of hot water. We had an issue with trying to figure out the light but the front desk staff immediately gave us assistance. The AC is fabulous. The front desk is incredible helps with taxis and planning excursions. The pool is lovely and calm just the right temperature. I can’t say how great this hotel is iand we got it for a wonderful price and we just had a basic room and it was just lovely lovely lovely definitely would come back here again. Oh yes expresso in room and left us lovely hit parties on first night.

- Q296TQdaisyd (4/5): Do not stay here - I’m extremely disappointed with my recent stay at Pestana in Miami. First of all, there were ants in the room throughout the stay, and despite several requests, the issue was never properly addressed. The pool was out of order with no prior notice and then we were sent to an alternative pool where we couldn’t get beds as there wasn’t enough beds to accommodate preventing us from using the pool at all. The air conditioning didn’t work for the entire duration of our stay, making the room uncomfortable. Additionally, housekeeping repeatedly failed to remove food that had been placed in our room as a welcome and left untouched for days, even after multiple requests to clear it. Communication around these issues was poor throughout, and to make matters worse, our deposit which we were told would be refunded in 5 days has still not been returned after 3 weeks. When I called to follow up, the receptionist hung up on me. For the price paid, this experience was far below acceptable standards and we would never stay here again. Trying to get in contact with the hotel and staff since leaving has been a nightmare.

- philwB6627AD (10/5): Wonderful stay. Can we move in?? - We had a pre-cruise 3 night stay at the Pestana in south beach Miami, and could not fault it. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The hotel in general was very neat and tidy, and our room was fantastic: nice and large, nice bathroom and great shower. The bed was so comfortable and big. The pool area is relaxing and is a lovely place to spend the evening. Shops and restaurants are just a few minutes walk away, as is the beach. The beach is gorgeous, white sands and a great place to chill. You get free access to sun beds if you’re a guest at the hotel, and you can take towels too. Overall it was a wonderful stay and I would recommend it to anyone.

The service was phenomenal and I had the best drinks at the hotel rather than on the strip. Definitely would plan to stay again. Only one caveat was the elevator being broken but they will help with luggage!

It is a 5min walk to the beach. 7 min walk to Lincoln rd shopping district. Plenty of restos within walking distance. Speaking of beach, they provide you with a beach towel and a daily pass for 2 lounge chairs and an umbrella to use at the beach. Fantastic find. Would recommend to all.

- Sascha (8/5): - My room was beautiful and have no complaints about that except for the location of my room where it was right over the bar area, so during the evening times when they would play music, it would be very loud. Thankfully, around 8:30 PM they close and I was able to sleep. When I book the room, it said that there was valet and parking. However, when I got there they had done away with the ballet and there was zero parking. So I had to walk a few blocks over to a parking garage and walk back, which I didn’t feel as safe as I had intended to be as I was alone as a . I chose this hotel based upon what I saw when I booked and what it had to offer as far as safety and more. Other than that, the room was very nice and the staff was very nice as well.
- Steven (4/5): - In town for business meeting, unaware or advised of a resort fee until check in. Every time I requested any assistance, was told not available, could not help me. etc. $25 for a simple breakfast???? For what was paid, the value was not at all realized.
- Melanie (8/5): - A nice property close to the convention center. The parking at the public lot across the street was $160 for 3 days. My room had a view of a bunch of discarded toilets along the property next door but I wasn’t in my room much so it wasn’t a huge factor.

- Hector Daniel (6/5): - Location is good at 2 blocks away from the beach. With that being said, claiming to be a 4 star hotel and charging a resort fee when there is not even parking available at the hotel and no breakfast at the hotel is unreasonable. Parking nearby is at $60 per night which is not cheap! My other feedback is that the refrigerator at our room was tied to the light switches, so when the lights are off the fridge is off, and one of the lights did not have a switch to turn it off. Unfortunately we discovered this too late so all our food was spoiled (I know, food may not be as important but it can be worse for people that need the refrigerator to conserve medicine).
- Ryan (6/5): - The good part is that Pestana South Beach is in a good location on a quiet street but near the ocean and main streets of South Beach. I also liked the staff personally and found them to be helpful. When I was there they would get a bit busy with larger groups of airline employees checking in, so that you needed to plan your questions around that. As for the property itself it was just OK - it looks good from the outside and inside it is fairly average, with some of the cabinetry and things like that made out of cheaper materials. The bed was not super comfortable, and they use an unusual style of bedding and sheets. Overall, the place has a bit of a European vibe, which can be good and bad for a hotel. It is nice that the beach chairs/umbrellas are included with the room, though you have to remember to ask for the card and the towel before leaving. It is perhaps a hotel for couples and families, rather than for single people. As I said I liked the staff even if sometimes (maybe my imagination) they seemed a bit "watchful," good for security but perhaps more scrutiny coming and going than your average U.S. hotel. They do have a pool in the inner courtyard which is not bad - though I did not spend a lot of time there.

- Stacey (6/5): 3 star not 4 - Best thing about the hotel was the location. It's perfect for heading to Miami Beach and close to the shops and restaurants. The pool was also lovely, although could do with a refurb. The hotel itself is nice, just needs some updating. Like the showers in the room - not good at keeping temperature and wobbling off the wall. We also got stitched up with over £100 bill at the end of our stay for breakfast, something we were led to believe by reception was free for us if we used the vouchers they gave us (which we did). Overall the hotel is a 3 star not a 4. Could do with an update and the staff need more training to make things clearer to guests.
