• Shanika (1/5): Would not return even if you paid me - Lidl nearby - 3 min walking distance Poor all round, deceptive with the online booking. What they advertise for guests to book is not what they give you. I booked a room with 2 king beds but was given one double bed and a sofa bed. Horrified because I should get what I paid. When I was at reception this also happened to a German couple. They seem to make a profit out of scamming tourists.

Many thanks to Mary Salinaki and the team for making our experience in Greece so special. Your attention to detail truly enhanced our stay. The breakfast could've been better, but it's ok.
• Georgina (9/5): Beautiful, friendly and felt right at home. - Beautiful small hotel with very lovely and helpful staff, especially Mary who always checked we were happy and gave some excellent recommendations of places to visit. The pool & surrounding area was always clean and the pool was warm. Towels provided. Breakfast was small but had everything you might want including hot and cold options. The bar options were decent with all essential alcoholic drinks catered for. Location was great, 2 minute walk from some restaurants, bars and taxi rank. The town is only a 10 minute drive away where you have an enormous selection of places to eat, drink and shop. Our room was very well sized with a nice little balcony, had everything we needed. Cleaners folded towels and made the bed every morning which was lovely to come back to after a day out. Shower did flood the bathroom but this is only due to how small the room was. Honestly didn't bother us we just wiped the water towards the drain. Cleaners could be a little more on top of things- our mirror was dirty from suncream for a good few days before it was cleaned. Beds were very comfy although the pillows provided unfortunately weren't the best - I'd probably take my own pillow if I stayed again. The hotel is right next to a fairly busy road where we could unfortunately hear loud motorbikes and horns honking at all times of night but this is out of the hotels control. Our room was on the second floor above where breakfast is served and we were often awoken at 8am by chairs scraping loudly on the floor (not usually an issue unless you've been out in town till 2am 🤣) Would recommend earplugs for an uninterrupted sleep. None of these things were a major issue for us but worth mentioning to make the hotel even better.

• Melissa (10/5): AMAZING STAY!!! 😊 - The hotel staff (especially Mairi) were absolutely amazing, the pool at the hotel and overall presentation was wonderful. The hotel was very clean and tidy as well. Breakfast in the morning was good - it had lots of choice from full cooked breakfast options to yoghurt & fruit, coffee, juices etc.... We had a very good time in Crete and fell in love with the place and had a great stay here. Thanks so much to everyone at the hotel from Little One (Melissa) and Mr Williams xxxx Literally the only things which we would have liked is there was no sponges/cloths for washing up in the sink in the apartment if you needed to wash up after cooking with the pots and pans provided. Also could do with a tea towel to use in the kitchen area, but that is it. Everything else was brilliant.

It was greatly appreciated! Music/noise from the bar area, which was directly below our room until midnight. The washroom could have been in better shape.
• Weedall (8/5): Great staff, turning a very basic 3* accommodation into a very pleasant trip. - La Stella is a no fuss accommodation, what you see on Booking.com is exactly what you get. The team however are exceptional, they cannot do enough for their guests. It's a 5 minute walk from local restaurants and coveniently situated next door to a supermarket for all your needs. The rooms are basic, bathrooms are very small and in need of little tlc (although we did arrive at the end of the season, so i'm sure these will be spruced up during closed period)

• Kamil (9/5): Superb - Great atmosphere, staff very accommodating and happy to help, very modern, lovely scent in the reception and bar area. Breakfast fresh and tasty. Overall great experience. Little details like a bath access panel being open which was releasing smell from the pipes or minor cobwebs here and there. Not a big deal though.
• Diana-mae (4/5): Really disappointing, the pictures oversell the hotel - The female staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful. The room was much smaller than the photos on the website and the kitchen facilities in the room are very basic. The male member of staff who was there in the afternoons was very rude and made unprofessional comments. The breakfast had little variety and even though it finished at 10.30 they stopped bringing out food around 9.45am

• Laura (4/5): Disappointing - the property is in a good location just a short walk to the beach and restaurants and the staff are lovely I had a very bad experience unfortunately. I was given a room I didn’t book that wasn’t to the standard I wanted or had paid for. I got locked in the bathroom for 45 minutes and had to scream for help late at night. the barman came and did let me out but I was very upset to hear the same thing had happened to someone in my room the night before. I asked to change rooms in the morning and was told there were none available however when I showed them on booking.com I could have booked at least 7 rooms that morning they obviously had to admit there were rooms free. after a negotiation I got a different room but I was understandably annoyed. the staff are lovely, and doing their best but it’s poor service. I regret booking this hotel as they just treated me so badly from the start. the initial room I was given was nothing like what I booked and paid for and they didn’t tell me the bathroom lock was broken so I inevitably got locked in. just terrible what would have happened late at night with no hotel staff to help? I was so disappointed to also be lied to about no rooms available when I showed them on booking. com I could have booked and paid for 7 choices of room that exact day. very very poor treatment

• V (6/5): Nice hotel but... - The hotel is new and nice, close to the national road (seaside is not so close and the sea is not beautiful at all). It was not a bad experience, but: 1) some rooms are too small, even if forniture is new, often cleanliness was poor and no bath cream and shampoo were daily provided 2) on Sunday no room cleaning service (towels changes on request..) and it is unacceptable if you have the hotel full 3) breakfast corner is on the pool ground but it is very small, so in the morning a queue has created... sometime food has exposition to flies... 4) by night (2.00.. 3.00..) often there are noise from the bar which is in the center of the building where rooms face. Maybe it is too expensive for the service they offer.
• Laura & Dan (10/5): Lovely small hotel - We had a wonderful time at La Stella! The hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff were very welcoming. Babis was the life and soul of the bar and Maria would give you any information about the local area you could ever need! The hotel is a short walk away from the beach and centre of the village however this was nice as it made it quieter. I'll admit I was slightly worried when I found out it was next to a Lidl but ill be honest I hardly noticed it at all. We didn't always eat breakfast at the hotel, just because we stayed in bed a little later, but there was a lovely bakery a short walk away which was great. I cant fault this hotel at all and I would recommend it to anyone, groups of friends, families or couples. Wonderful hotel and wonderful staff!
• Mathias (10/5): OUTSTANDING - Fantastisk personale. Aldrig før været på hotel hvor personalet går så meget op i at være behjælplige med udflugter og seværdigheder. Har man lejet en bil kan hotellet fortælle præcis hvor det er værd at køre hen. Bartenderen på stedet er i særklasse.

• Thoranna (10/5): Only modern and comfortable hotel in the area - I stayed at La Stella for 11 nights with my friend. The hotel is very modern and so clean with no mosquitoes due to the location witch I love. They put quality in beds and even pillows so we slept like babies. Staff is super friendly and willing to help with everything, among making great cocktails of course. Short walking distance from the supermarket, beach and all the local bars and restaurants.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Bon sejour malgré une route tres bruyante - Nous avons sejourné dans une suite supérieure, nous avons été satisfait de la prestation. cependant nous regrettons que certains equipements qui font partis du desriptif de la chambre ne soient pas présents. En effet il est indiqué lecteur DVD dans toutes les chambres et nous n en avions pas, et d autres personnes de l hotel étaient dans le meme cas. De plus dans notre suite nous devions avoir une baignoire à remous qui en fait était une baignoire simple! Enfin l hotel est situé pres d une route vraiment tres passante...!!! boules quies indispensable...!!! Sinon tres bon accueil bel hotel design bon petit dejeuné satisfait de nos vacances

• David (8/5): Great rooms, friendly staff - Stayed at La Stella and cant praise the staff and hotel enough during our stay. The only problem is for light sleepers like me as the hotel is positioned next to a noisy road. But this still didnt spoil our stay as the rooms are excellent. We stayed in a studio for part of the holiday and then upgraded to an apartment which was brilliant. All the staff are so friendly and helpful and with breakfast thrown in as well it was well worth the money. Definitely stay here if in the platanias area
