Guest Reviews
- Shukla (1/5): Catfish scam. - Took us to an alternate property because they were "overbooked"
- Bashar (4/5): - Loud noises all night long.
- CeCelia (8/5): - Na
- Andrei (2/5): - Dirty
- Alexander (8/5): Would stay here again - Good location, really nice rooms, easy check in. Expensive
- Deaira (8/5): - The room had a modern style and great wifi. Customer Service was also great! The staff and Manager was very kind.
- Ambrosio (2/5): - We didn’t stay the place had strong smell of Marijuana. Parking spaces too narrow. Places to loud. Place very duty. I asked the front desk to cancel my reservation, they told me they didn’t know how. They told me to call Expedia.
I want my reimbursement.
- cesar (4/5): - There was dirt in all the corners in the bathroom. The shower was leaky and got the floor wet. No towels were provided, just one washcloth. There was no turndown service.
- Kathrin (10/5): - We loved it, the only thing to complain, an extra blanket in the closet would have been nice.
- Porsha (1/5): Bad - The room smelled pretty bad idk what kinda cover they had or use but it made me itch ALL NIGHT
- Junney (2/5): - Thin walls, loud neigbors and sketchy people hanging around the area. I would not recommend this place even for a night.
- Pula (3/5): My stay was a nightmare looking at mold around where I sleep. I did took pictures off it. - Location was close to my event. Parking was terrible, room has no mirrors, no bed frame, mold everywhere, hold on the bathroom wall, it was bad experience, they should never rent that room out, and I should be getting half my money back.
- Steven (10/5): - Great staff
- Verified traveler (2/5): - They don’t let you stay your full stay. They kick you out a few hours before your exit.
- Michael (2/5): "Dive" over priced! - Boring....no TV, old towels, toilet keeps running, no table, it's an over priced dive!
- Carl (6/5): - It's clean to an extent they were updating the property painting, etc. but the air filter in the bathroom was completely clogged, and there was dust and some debris on the wall in the bathroom as well as the floors don't look like they have been cleaned just swept maybe , definitely not mopped
- Justin (4/5): Poorly Maintained Rooms - I would not recommend staying at this hotel based on our recent experience. From the moment we arrived, it was clear the room was not properly maintained. There was duct tape patching holes in the walls, the bathroom sink was clogged and filled up quickly every time we tried to use it, and the only mirror in the room was a small handheld one—not exactly practical.
To make matters worse, one of our pillows had mascara stains on it, and there was a leak coming from the room next to us that started spilling into our room. We had to use our shower towels to stop the water from spreading. When we reported these issues and requested a new room, the staff told us the only option was a refund for one day of our two-night stay, but we’d have to check out entirely. Since checking out wasn’t an option, we were left feeling stuck and deeply unsatisfied with our accommodations.
While the staff made an effort to offer a partial refund, it didn’t solve the core issue: the poor condition of the room and the unacceptable state of the facilities. This experience fell far short of what I expect from a hotel stay.
- Kimberly (2/5): - The door did not work. Management (the lady at the front desk) was rude when we brought up the issue. Key card did not work throughout our entire stay, despite having it “fixed” on the first night. Room itself was ok. Water pressure in the shower was weak and only one roll of toilet paper. Parking is tight. Overall I would not recommend based on the bad customer service, plenty of other hotels in the area; so avoid this one if you can.
- Ricky (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, clean and quiet room, refrigerator in room, friendly staff.
- Gerardo (8/5): - Nice place !
- Dr (1/5): BEDBUGS find somewhere else to stay! - The staff was nice until they weren’t BEDBUGS had to leave at 2 am due to bites. They refused to refund me.
- Jessica (10/5): Salina - It’s ok. They just remodeled the rooms. Rooms are like little cottages. Nice area and quiet.
- Annadina (2/5): - The parking was full and small . We had to park outside on the street. When we arrived late around 10:30 , there was roach on the sink and on wall under table. I’m not happy with the area .
- Oliver (2/5): - There were cars beside our room, literary when you walk out of the door. It made noises in the middle of your sleep. Not for family with kids, staff arent helpful..
- Full throttle (2/5): Very inconvenient - The rooms were not so bad but had no blankets the pillow were very flat ..the parking is ridiculous..the owner have like 5 cars and they literally block your room door by parking right in front side ways ..there is 1 way in and 1 way out...it has 5 spots in the back that you can hardly get in once they are full you have to park on the road where its a 2 hr limit or you will be towed ...just crazy
- Elizabeth (2/5): - Shower didn't get hot. Hole in bathtub duct taped over. A/C moldy.
- Wanying (2/5): - The room doesn’t really look like the pictures. It has musty smell, and bugs, feel like it hasn’t been used for a while. My daughters got multiple insect bites. It’s very noisy at night time. You can hear cars on the road, and also people come to check in at late night. The parking space is also tight. I wouldn’t recommend this place. It doesn’t really worth the price.
- Alesha (10/5): - Nice and clean good prices ! I would definitely stay again
- Jennifer (10/5): - This was a great stay for my husband and I for our short stay in Long Beach. They are under new management are making improvements to all of the rooms on property.
- Larry (10/5): Thank you. - The parking. The cleanliness. The management. Found nothing wrong
- Tristan (1/5): Bad -
- Dolores (4/5): Disappointing -
- Willis (2/5): - More a Cra@& Motel. Wanted a $50 key deposit in cash! Avoid this place.
- Williams (5/5): Passable -
- Marc (10/5): - Front desk was very nice and quick and efficient checking me in . Checking out they even gave me extra time to check out. Facilities were recently updated and very clean!
- gillian (10/5): Bixby - great little hotel handy for places to eat in LB
- Manuel (1/5): Bad - No good
- Vanessa (6/5): - Well I was a bit surprised. Check in is at 3pm not noon, as stated on the original reservation, so that delayed our vacation a bit.. Cash only option for their deposit because their machines were down, only to be inconvenienced by their atm being down too. Thank goodness for internet banks and zelle. Not much parking but we weren’t bothered too much. Stayed 1 night.
- Don (2/5): - Not a good area.
Over priced for nothing!
Shocked that any reputable service (Expedia) would support a place like this.
Hope this isn't all Long Beach has to offer. I would never ever stay in a facility such as this. Very low end. Even had to give a $50 cash deposit! Shameful business practice!
- michael (10/5): - Nice hotel. Got room here for my Dad and his wife who are in their mid 70’s for a stay to be near her son who lives in Long Beach. Hotel was clean with comfortable bed. Nice amenities in room. They had to leave a cash deposit for incidentals since I paid for room on card. They had to leave early for flight and forgot to get deposit back. Manage/ owner called me and let me know and returned their deposit to me by Venmo to get it back to my Dad. Would highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in the Long Beach area.
- michaelpN1512RR (10/5): Nice hotel. Great price. Great management. - Got room here for my dad and his wife to stay a few days to be close to her son who lives in Long Beach. Nice room with comfortable bed and good amenities in room.
Dad had to put up a cash deposit for incidentals since I paid for room with card on Expedia already. They had to leave early for flight and forgot to get deposit back. The manager/ owner called me and let me know and sent refund back to me by Venmo to return it to my dad. Don’t see that type of honesty near as much as we should. Would highly recommend stay at this hotel for anyone in the area.
- Brian (6/5): - ok
- BILL (2/5): - Area was very sketchy. The room was not well cleaned. The floor was sticky and it didn’t smell right.
There were no towels, no toilet paper, and the bed didn’t have all of the bedding.
The woman at the desk said a $50 CASH deposit was required.
Not planning to go back again.
- Taylor (2/5): - Staff was rude and sketchy and the place was not nice
- ASHRAF (10/5): - I stayed for 5 nights, I was surprised the room is clean and in very good shape, customer service was very helpful either the gentleman in the day time or the lady at night any little issue they got it done right away, definitely I’m going back again.
- Moises (6/5): - Parking somewhat difficult. Bare minimum amenities. Okay If you’re literally just there to sleep.
- U5645ZYbriannat (10/5): Amazing! Worth going back! - This place was great! We enjoyed being within a good distance between Universal Studios and Long Beach. It’s under new management. The staff is friendly. Parking was an issue but we were accommodated. Can’t really complain of anything. We will definitely be going back!
- Chekeichan (8/5): Recent Improvements - This place is good for a local stay while you check out Long Beach. The rooms are being remodeled with new paint, floors, beds, etc. so be sure to check if one of those are available. Based on older reviews, the difference in rooms is substantial. The biggest flaw with the place is the cramped parking. It may take some maneuvering to get in and out of certain spaces.
- gillian (10/5): Lb - This a very friendly basic motel no frills but very comfortable
- Saifon (10/5): - Called the hotel around 11pm to see if check in would be complicated since I don’t stay in hotels often, the female receptionist that answered said no and that they’re open and to come on down. Booked it on the app and showed up, check in was easy, the female receptionist was super nice. They took a $50 cash deposit that was disclosed in the app so I was expecting that. I had to get the deposit back a couple days later since I don’t live in the area and had to leave early so that was on me. Overall pleasant experience, super easy check in, was quiet, plenty of street parking, 12 mins from downtown Long Beach.
- Ivone (2/5): - TV never worked, despite plea to management. For $230 one might expect ice availability, coffee (either in room or at office, shampoo.
- Jill (4/5): - Kinda weird 50.00 cash deposits and when checking out manager walks thru room … guessing it’s a bad area … probably won’t be back
- Nicole (1/5): would not recommend to my worst enemy - nothing. this property was horrible and clearly a motel for drug addicts and prostitution the room was absolutely disgusting. blood all over the walls, filthy headboards, filthy bedding with burn holes all over, everything about this was disgusting
- serkan (4/5): - Should be called a Motel rather than Hotel. Stayed in room 101. Tiny room. Bathroom was half painted. Waterproof Plastic under the bedsheets makes you feel like you’re sleeping on garbage bags not to mention the noise it makes. It just feels cheap. TV wasn’t working right either. Drug addicts near the door moaning or tweeking all night long.
In all fairness, the owner did call me the morning of my arrival, to tell me that that was the last room they had and that I could cancel for a full refund. Only downside; he didn’t leave voicemail so I didn’t know about the call until I got there (I don’t pick up when I don’t recognize a number).
All in all, my stay was disappointing and I would not recommend it at least not for the rate I paid. However, please bear in mind this review was primarily about room 101. Perhaps the other rooms are better.
- Jesus (4/5): Disappointing - The heater had a tricky power button so I couldn't turn it off. The TV remote control did not work, I found a cockroach, and the worst, in two of the rooms there was a fetid stench of marihuana, and those rooms were supposedly for non-smokers.
- Jessica (10/5): - Good
- Verified traveler (10/5): Long beach - Great little motel convenient for my needs staff friendly i will Always stay here when I am passing through long beach
For the owner - you are doing a great job, coffee ☕️ would be the icing on the cake
- Peter (8/5): Great service - My stay was brief as i checked in at 3 am early in the morning. But for the short stay it was comfortable. The manager was very friendly and nice and accommodated me during my stay. Just a few things to note: there's a $50 cash deposit so have that ready, the TV wasn't very clear, there was no hair dryer, and there were just a few towels. Overall my stay was pleasant and I'm happy with the way I was treated. I'll come back again.
- Michael (4/5): - No staff help. Had to pay cash. No formal receipt
Bed bugs scratchy sheets
- Clark (10/5): Enjoyed! - Amazing!!
- Lilian (2/5): - Picture is deceiving, dirty room, some walls were cover of disgusting pink sustance, chair was broken, you can even see the material under the fake leather cover of grim. i have to wipe every surface that i touch. Floor and refrigerator doors were sticky. one day i ask for room service they forgot to leave towels, when i asked he only had one big and small that look used. thnk god for clorox wipes. DO NOT RECOMEND DISGUSTING UNSAFE
- WALTER (2/5): OIL ALL OVER REMOTES AND SHEETS...FILTHY - There was oil on the sheets and all over the remotes. This place is filthy! When i showed the remotes to the staff..they IMMEDIATEDLY offered me a refund on a nonrefundable room.
- gillian (10/5): - Basic motel but clean convenient friendly staff and comfy bed . Will stay again no issues
- JOSE LUIS (4/5): - Poor property 😢
- Dominique (2/5): Nasty - Invested with roaches
- Melissa (10/5): Nothing special, but worth the price - It was a bed and a room. Nothing special, but it was a great price for what you got! No bugs, and clean. Parking is tight and the mattress pads were extremely crinkly noisy, but once again....it's a value motel.
- Christina (6/5): - It looks like they are starting to update the property so things may change. There were old mattresses all over the property. The toilet seats look very worn. The water pressure is so low, it would be difficult to wash the shampoo out of your hair. They put me in the wrong room and while I was out asked to move my personal items. I had no choice because I was out all day so they video chatted so I could see then move the items. The parking is extremely tight and not sufficient for the number of residents which leaves you with parking on Longbeach Blvd, a very busy thoroughfare and less secure location for someone’s car. I’m just writing this because if I had known all these details, I may have selected a different location. The only positive is that it looks like they are trying to renovate (hence the nice pictures) but they have a ways to go. It was quiet and had new firm mattresses. The room was a decent size, had a tv and fridge. Low price.
- John (2/5): - NOT a Hotel. A pisspoor run & rundown, detetiorated, broken down furnishings & utilities for a Staybridge price. NOTHING WORX RIGHT! (minifridge keeps brew / drinkswarm & microwave at usually closed office) NO hot&cold H20. (1 temp fits all) Weak, scatter sprayey, & hard to use twist head shower flow. OffNose water scent.Unable to open or close old chest of drawers. Lopsided & stiff Qbed. Wobbly toilet seat wont flush properly. Not even a deceant chair to sit on. Many ETCz..
Smells like ashtray inside. 1 black smeary bath towel. TV basic cable small flatscreen. Expect $100 refundable security deposit for Just Overniter. Long checkin time. Waited almost 1hr at latenite office outside window for her husband to showup & facilitate my entry. So beg for extra checkout hour. Ooops, NO DONT GO THERE At All....
Smudge Lot. Crampt quarters. Lousiest motel ever in Bixby Knolls. (someplace has to be on bottom)
Front doors exit to driveway only. The BadList goes on ...
WHAT a (USD178.14/nt) HUGE RipOff. SKIP IT! Avoid it like the Plague. In all my Global Nomad travels Ive NEVER Found Worse Place than this in LongBch, CA. If u want this neighborhood try Sunshine next door. And Steelhead half block away is GRRRATE!!! Best signature handcraft beer, Cup o' Jo & specialty grubhounds nd compound.
- DEANNA (8/5): - Quiet, relatively decent hotel to get a good nights rest. Just a small private owned spot, not all the ‘bells & whistles’ but definitely worth considering. Owners were very nice
- jose (8/5): - Nice room and quiet
- AngieSmith27 (2/5): You’ve been warned! - The room was disgusting! Blood and dirt stains all over the sheets. I’ve never had a bad experience like this at a hotel. For $100 a night, I should definitely have clean sheets! & it’s corona time, so I know no one is sanitizing the place! How could the sheets be that dirty? Stay away from this place. They are NOT clean!...The lady from the front office was kind and understanding. That’s the only good thing I can say.
- rhonda (10/5): Need to relax - I came to relax and did just that. Very very friendly woman at the front desk. She is very accommodating and heloful. I will recommend and stay here again.
- Erez (4/5): Not worth the money... - The housekeeping doesn't left towels in my room so after long day out at the hotel I needed to ask for towels in 11.30pm.
The room was not clean but I was too tired to complain so late that night...
The room was too noise- I heard the cars from the street all night long...
- Chris (8/5): - The staff made this place. Friendly and warm welcome, an upgrade, new rooms, and comfy beds. It was a great two nights.
- Timmy-time-traveller (6/5): It was a room - There is no reason to complain about this hotel, the room was clean, the two beds were big enough to sleep 2 adults in each so it fulfilled the function required of providing a cheap nights accommodation before we started over vacation properly.
The room had everything needed except towels so we did need to pop out and buy towels before we had a shower. Apart from that is was fine.
- 678gemmad (10/5): **AMAZING** - Initially booked to stay here for a week but ended up staying 10 days. When we arrived we were met by Dawn who manages the hotel, she is absolutely amazing, there's nothing that's too much trouble for her and she made our stay extremely enjoyable. The rooms are clean, modern and have great a/c there is also free wifi available and a refrigerator in each room and a flatscreen TV. The Salina will always be my preferred choice when visiting California again. Thank you so much Dawn, we miss you & Addy <3

- Daveopal (4/5): We needed a cheap room in an expense area and we got it. - I will say the rooms are freshly remodeled, not well but redone. If you just need a cheap room to sleep in and leave this is your place. The staff was friendly but when you park 30 inches from your front door the place is not quiet. It is a mediocre Motel not Hotel. But if budget is your number one concern this is the place!
- Passport2fill (2/5): If I could have rated it lower than zero I would... - We booked this place and when we arrived stayed less than 5 minutes.
Poor does not cover it. The sheets were ynwashed and there was no top sheet. The sheets and covers that were there were stained and dirty and had hairs and were theeadbare.
When we questioned the owner he reckoned there is no need for a top sheet. We got a refund and left and found a Days Inn.
- Solo_Flyer1 (8/5): Clean and tidy - Cheap room in Long Beach - was clean and tidy and just what we needed for a 1 night stay on our way south.
The rooms were quite big, 2 queen beds, wall-mounted TV with cable, small table and 2 chairs, and a small bar fridge.
Bathroom was clean, though we had to ask for an additional towel as there were only 2 supplied, and there was 3 of us staying.
One downside was that the pillows and bedspread had dust and lint on them.. Easily brushed off, but a bit concerning. And the beds were made a little weird - blanket was under the top sheet, and there was no sheet underneath to 'sandwich' the blanket. The blanket on 1 of the beds was dirty. And 1 bed had dirty sheets with cigarette burns on them.
Other than the bedding situation, the room was perfectly fine for us, and had everything we needed. Pretty quiet in the room, despite being on a main road.
The hosts were really nice, gave us directions and recommended places to eat around the corner on Atlantic Street.
- X6032HFlauraa (4/5): Cute but odd - We arrived late and checked in at window with a pleasant young woman. Room was clean but bathroom had mold stains on tub and shower curtain. Strange smell cleared after we ran the heater for a while. Beds were barely made-- just flat sheets and blankets thrown wrinkled and stained over mattress pad--with no topsheet so they brought us some to make our own. Tv is just local. Fridge disgustingly dirty. No light other than overhead fixture. Parking on street. Curtain falling off rod and bright courtyard light just outside. Cute decor though.
- Flen2014 (2/5): Had to buy my own pillows - My husband and I were in town for a family event and had no choice but to stay and keep the reservations. After all, we were with family all the other times and I figured I can rough it for the price. Upon checking in, I emphasized that I needed a non-smoking room because I am allergic to the smell. As soon as we entered the room, I knew cigarette smoke had been in the room because my eyes started to water right away. We asked for a different room and he reluctantly complied, insisting that the rooms are all non-smoking. Because I didn't want to be bothersome, we stayed at the other room even though it looked worse. The bed cover had black stains on it and the sheets had cigarette burns. The pillows were awful we had to buy our own. I wanted to keep the air conditioner off because it was very noisy but found that it was better to keep it on because there was no way fresh air was going to come in. Not only was there the one window but it only let in smoky curried air! We found out that the guy in charge hangs around smoking outside and the fans suck in all that smell into the rooms. He also seems to scratch and grab his groin so much so that I couldn't help but get a creepy feeling around him. I may have gotten too spoiled because there is NO WAY I will EVER stay in this hotel again.
- 714rachaels (4/5): Worst Customer Service Ever (Dont Go Here) - We had a Family emergency and unfortunately for us there were not many places available. (If there were we would have left the first night!) Our room was supposed to have a microwave, and coffee maker. We brought our own food to reheat to save money on the trip. We asked the Guy at the window about it when we discovered there wasn't one and he just threw his hands up in the air. He didn't care that our paper said they were supposed to have these things. I called the 888 number they tried to get these people to compensate us or get us a microwave and they got no response. I talked to the window guy again and he wouldn't do anything. Then there was 1 towel in the room I asked for more and had to wait cause they were being washed. I asked for a hand towel and got a wash cloth, the towels were very worn and small! They have no ice machine either. I agree with the other reviews about the parking issues. It smelled of like they are growing marijuana in the rooms.
- anointedhelp (6/5): C- - I give this hotel a grade of C-. Here are the positives: I purchased this hotel on from a travel website for $58.00. The location appeared to be safe. There was vagrant or odd characters loitering around the hotel. The outside appearance of the hotel is well maintained. The location was good as it is located close to the 405 and not that far from the Long Beach arena. The laminate flooring inside the hotel room was nice. The vanity and bathroom appeared to be recently renovated. Now to the negatives: the room had an oder which I still cannot place. Even after turning on the AC the oder still remained. The towels and linens were extremely worn and dingy. Although I did not see any bugs there were a couple of cob webs in the corners of the room.
I agree with the previous reviewer, the parking lot (6 spaces) in the back is tight. If you get there late and the is no room to maneuver around.
I only stayed there one night and that is about all I could take. At this price point, this a decent enough hotel.
- mrsjbala (2/5): Never again - PLEASE READ!!!! I'm assuming that the reviews prior to mine were based on when this place was just recently renovated because my husband and I had a completely different experience. We booked this hotel last minute as we wanted to be in the area and it was convenient for us as we were on a road trip and wanted to be close to many areas. We looked at pics on website and it looked very cute and decent and yes renovated. So we thought it would be a good place. We got there at 11:30pm and had to check in through a window, no lobby whatsoever and no one was around to check us in. We buzzed a few times until some guy from an adjacent room came out in grungy sleepwear who looks like we just woke him up from his sleep. He asked for my ID and checked us in and gave us a key to our room and he went back into his home (im assuming tHats where he lives). So no one is at the check in window at all times. The room stunk of curry and marijuana. The bedsheets were not even white, they were dingy yellow with black stains. The towels were almost see through and the size of a hand towel. No phone in the room. There were dead bugs splattered on the walls, and shoe print on the ceiling with a dead spider with it, indicating they used that shoe to kill it and never cleaned it. The toilet seat was lose. There were nasty stains on the doors. My husband and i were forced to buy our own sheets from nearby walmart to put on top of theirs cuz there was no way i was sleeping on their nasty horrible sheets. We also got some lysol and scrubbing bubbles to clean the stains on the walls and tub and toilet cuz i just couldn't stand it anymore. If there was a way to get our money back i would do it. Parking was situated at the very back of the area and if you're driving anything bigger than an SUV it is difficult especially when the place is full and there is only 6 parking stalls. The guy that checked us in was not helpful at all, forgot to give us our wifi passcode so i had to ask the next day and not even an apology. He had no manners, and looked high on something all the time. I was more scared of him than the other shady tenants that were staying there. We stayed here 3 nights cuz we had no choice cuz it was already paid for. This place would be so horrible for a family with children. Yes it looks renovated but NOT MAINTAINED!!! So NEVER AGAIN!!! This place is not even worth one rating. Most disgusting place i've ever stayed at.
- urgy1978 (8/5): Nice and clean... - Small hotel, for a great price. It looks that is recently renovated. It's great value for a money. About 8 miles/15 min driving to the long beach but in LA 8 miles mean nothing. If you are looking for a comfortable bed in clean place you will be more than happy.
- CAtravelbear (8/5): Nice, comfortable hotel - We had a great stay here. I was able to stop by the hotel prior to booking and asked to see a room. They were completely accommodating to that request and a quick look showed me a nice, minimal, clean room. There was a little bit of stuffiness in the room but easily cleared with the window open. The stay was perfect and quiet. Parking is minimal on the property but the street usually has parking available. It's not central to much in Long Beach so you will likely need a car if you plan to get out much, but that wasn't a problem for us. It's worth the price. Probably one of the nicer and cleaner hotels in the immediate area. I will definitely stay there again if the opportunity arises.
