• Dale (7/5): Like staying here when we come to drop our kids off at the university. The place is clean. It’s run well, the staff is - We liked that the property was closed, there’s parking on site. They have breakfast included, coffee, all day, and it’s clean. If you face Fayette Street, you can hear some pretty drunk people coming out of the bar around 2am. Every night that the bar is open.
• Kristin (8/5): Great place to stay! - Location great and rooms are just what we need! Everything was clean and nice! Love staying here Everything was great except we had to wait for an hour to check in as our rooms were not clean and available yet. It was too cold to walk around the town so we sat in the lobby. The staff were apologetic but we waited until almost 5pm for our rooms which was unusual!

• Kristin (7/5): Nice room layout - The room design and location. We had a long drive to hotel and when we got there about 3:30 our rooms were not ready and had to sit in the lobby for an hour - not sure why that happened but was frustrating and we were not the only ones this happened to. Maybe they didn’t have enough cleaning staff?!? While location great - the overnight street traffic was terrible. Not sure what they can do to help this as there are 2 bars open late across the street. Not a great nights sleep but a fun weekend in Syracuse!

• Dale (8/5): Other than a few of those instances, we would stay here again because the place was very clean and we enjoyed it otherwi - They had free breakfast. There was parking. It was clean and the staff was friendly. A lot of hotels in Syracuse want to clean your room every other day and they never came on day two to even refresh our room even though I requested it specifically when we checked in. In fact, I was asked if we wanted it and I said yes. That was frustrating cause we could use some fresh towels and the straightening up as you get with most hotels was not done. Additionally, our room happened to be facing the Irish bar across the street so you could hear belligerently drunk people being super loud between the hours of midnight and like 2 AM so we were woken up every single night. Next time we’ll make sure to get a room on the other side of the building.

• Carlos (10/5): Great hotel, great location, great staff!! - Great hotel, great location, great staff!! Everything was so enjoyable. We were traveling back home and hit a snowstorm. Decided to stop and stay at this hotel overnight until roads were clean. Best decision! The accommodation and staff were outstanding
• Brian (9/5): - The breakfast was okay, it would have been nice to see scrambled eggs, bacon strips, sausage patties, and potatoes. The breakfast bar had pre-made sausage biscuits, and there were egg patties you could add on top. There was also french toast and oatmeal, as well as a variety of cereals, bagels and pastries. The temperature in the hallways was quite warm, ranging from 72 to 75 degrees, as noted on the thermostats in the hallways. This caused our room to be a bit on the warm side, so we actually had to run the air conditioning at night to keep the room at 68 degrees while we slept. We stayed the third week in November, and the temperature outside was seasonably warm, at around 50 degrees.

But overall, it's always a bit disappointing how much is $ is charged per night during Syracuse dropoff. Are there every early bird deals?

• Harry (2/5): - Flies around bed. They moved me but Central air not functioning in new room. Desk personnel was either good or terrible and would not address issue with phone problems. It had a kitchen but no bags to line trash can. Outside between 9 pm and 3 am there are tons of screaming people, motorcycles and cars with revved up engines and screeching tires, LOUD music coming out of vehicles so loud it is like it’s in your room… impossible to sleep, and uncomfortable bed. If you stay here you’ll be miserable. Zero Stars.

• Alan (7/5): Acceptable at best - Breakfast was good, plenty of choice and the staff ensured the food was kept toped up. The room was level with an entrance to a rooftop car park with frequent comings and goings.

• CurtK815 (8/5): A Nice Place to Stay - While traveling my wife and I stayed at the Courtyard Marriott Syracuse Downtown for the night. This is a nice place to stay. The room was comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. They offer a Bistro , which we tried but regretted. It took a while to get our Skillet Meatballs and Three Cheese Grilled Cheese & Soup. Something did not agree with my wife and she returned to the room.
• M7926OQdanielg (2/5): Staying Here Caused Us Significant Harm - I would avoid the Residence Inn at Armory Square if you plan to park there. Despite the fact that this hotel charges a considerable parking fee, do not let your guard down. Our rear window was smashed in on the first night while we slept, and over $2,500 in possessions were stolen on hotel property. We filed a police report with the Syracuse Police Department, but nothing has been recovered, to date. While the hotel manager states that there are signs in the lot, we did not see them, and a warning should be issued to all guests upon check-in that the evenings are quite unpredictable in their lot. All guests want is a quick and easy check-in experience, and they are not exactly looking for every sign. The hotel compensated us for the first night, and the staff did what they could and allowed us to park in front of the hotel, but I had to stay awake in the lobby the entire second night to watch over my car that was missing a rear window, and who knows who could have come back to take the car itself. The Mariott should have at least compensated us for the second night, as needless to say, I didn't get any rest. Over two weeks later, we are also dealing with the fallout of the worst hotel stay of my life, as we are still trying to get our rear window issue resolved with Safelite.
• CatieV22 (4/5): Unprofessional staff. - One night stay for a concert in town, and had more than enough issues to almost want to leave and go back home before the concert started. Upon arrival, the building itself (not the whole block) had no power and hadn't all day. Not the employees or managers fault, but the way they handled it was subpar. We were unaware before arriving, we were not offered any option to rebook/check out/stay anywhere else, and were told to walk up 5 floors in the pitch black darkness using just cell phones for light all while carrying all luggage. No emergency lights were on whatsoever, which I feel like is a huge safety concern. We met a maintenance worker on the 5th floor that let us into our room using a master key. Good thing the room has big windows and it was still light out, so we had natural light to rely on for the time being. We were not offered any compensation, apology, or even a bottle of water for the inconveniences. The power came back on at some point while we were gone at the concert or else we would have grabbed our things and left at that point. Average breakfast. Clean room.
• John (4/5): - Very disappointed with room facing a handful of bars across the street. Constant noise made for a difficult night's sleep. Management should have called the police to quiet down the group but clearly did not do so. I can't recommend this property especially when you can't assure a quiet atmosphere in the middle of the night.
• John (6/5): - The hotel staff were helpful. The property is in a great location. The room was clean but sheets were thin and rough. A high pitched building alarm rang from 2am until 8am. Overall it was an average stay.
• derekwN6615RQ (2/5): Bottom of the Barrel - In two night, I experienced two technical issues, a safety issue and a cleanliness issue. Most frustrating though, was management’s complete lack of professional communication throughout all of it. Noting the good location, I can’t recommend staying here or at the Courtyard (same management) until there is an overhaul on how this property is run. It’s pretty embarrassing to the Marriott name.
• Davina (6/5): - As always, Marriott has very clean hotels with great staff. However, the bed was super uncomfortable. And there was an obnoxious mechanical humming in my room. I ended up leaving the tv on so I could manage a few hours sleep.

• Dennis (4/5): - We checked in and went right out to eat then upon returning to our room before bed we looked under it and it was full of candy wrappings and a book and trash that was unbelievable so we checked the other room and it was just as nasty, the room had no soap and had to call down for that, the drop ceiling tiles and tee bars were stained heavily, I showed the pictures to the front desk and all he said is he would let house keeping know, this was in room 337 If we weren’t so tired we would have left. Sorry for tha sad review
• Leigh (8/5): - Place was great. Fun area. Only issue is that on Saturday night it was SO LOUD on the street out our window that we couldn't sleep until the bars closed at 2:30am. Next time I will plan to be out late. Sunday night however was nice and quiet.
• howards50 (6/5): Basic, comfortable room - My wife and I stayed at the Residence Inn when we were visiting our son. It's your basic, comfortable hotel room, and we had a kitchenette. The hotel is centrally located, and paid parking is available. If the indoor parking spaces in the lot next to the hotel are full, you need to drive around the corner and park on the upper level. You should be aware that the ramp to this lot is unmarked.

• amykr2019 (2/5): Rundown & Dirty Rooms - Run down, dirty, old rooms. Stayed here before when it first opened and it was great, not sure what happened. There is a Starbucks on site, but I will tell you as a Starbucks connoisseur. It is definitely not Starbucks coffee but they charge you the Starbucks rates. When checking in the front desk was not helpful nor welcoming and rather rude. No explanation on where to park if the small main lot is full. Out front is littered with trash and cigarette butts everywhere. Not one ashtray in sight. We did get the two bedroom two bath suite with a little kitchenette and didn’t want to touch anything in the kitchen. Furniture had stains, windows were filthy. Looks like they are redoing the main hotel?

• Verified traveler (8/5): Stinky Kitchen - When we got to our room there was uncollected garage with left over dog food in two cans full and smelly. There was also no hand soap in either bathroom. We stopped by the front desk on the way to dinner to report this. When we got back the soap had been delivered but the garage was still there. Had to find a housekeeper to come and take it.

The cleanliness of the lobby and room was awesome! The location is really convenient as well can walk alot of places. Definitely will stay again

This is not a good hotel. :( they only service rooms every other day and with a dirty room and horrible towels this would have been good to know. Breakfast was horrible and I would rather them not offer at all than serve what they did. It is not worth the money to stay here.
• Thomas G (6/5): Underwhelming experience - Trying to navigate to my room was challenging. I had to go through a dummy room between two hotels with no signage. The staff was quite rude when I asked for an early check in. Which was no big deal. The room itself was big but the bed was pretty uncomfortable. I would choose this hotel again for the convenience of being in the middle of Armory Square. But for the price, this room was lacking.
• Bevers (1/5): Rip off - They charged me an additional $20.52 after our stay with no authorization or explanation for this mystery fee. They know you won't waste time pursuing a refund for so little, so they take some extra.
• Charles (8/5): Good Spot in Syracuse - If you have to stay in downtown Syracuse, this is an excellent spot to visit. Very close to businesses, the theatre, and many restaurants and bars. The rooms facing the street will pick up some traffic noise. Rooms were clean and well appointed.

TV did not work - called twice and worked for a short period later that night, then off again. Rooms are tired. Entrance is sketchy - too bad this property went down hill. • Juanita (6/5): Looks are deceiving - It looked like at the beginning it was going to be a great stay I went to the bathroom I sat on the commode it smelled like urine in there the room appeared tidy we sat down to watch TV the television did not work we called and they sent someone up to fix a TV they said the TVs had not been working okay we left came back the TV was not working again we said someone will be there in 45 minutes no one came we called back they said we want to switch rooms this was at 11:45 at night we said no I went down to talk to the manager next morning and the manager said because I looked through Expedia he could not service me in any type of way I said Thank you and I left
