Guest Reviews
- Claudine (4/5): - We encountered several significant issues during our recent stay:
- Unexpected Additional Payment for Child. Despite our original booking clearly indicating 2 adults and 1 child. We had to escalate with Expedia.
- There's a lack of proper handover procedures between shifts. Our son was not consistently served breakfast, which required repeated follow-ups.
- Phone calls were frequently met with delays or no response.
- The hotel restaurant's cuisine was disappointing, primarily due to being oversalted.
*Additionally, there’s ongoing construction. We arrived to discover our room was on the 4th level, with the elevator out of service. From 7 AM onwards, you can expect building noise and a dusty environment in the hallway.
We’re not happy with our Stay and hopefully they can better their service in the future.
- Felmar (2/5): - Can’t recommend this to other
- Kendreck (10/5): - So clean
- HIRONORI (8/5): - This hotel is walkable to major Davao city center sites such as People's Park, which is the best part. The room may look a bit old, but was reasonably maintained. Thus, you will get what you paid for, as a budget hotel in Davao city center.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Its not the most fancy place, but definitely good for budget travel. Good location in the busy and historic street of the city. Though the street itself can get crowded.
The only thing is my room did not have much of a window so could not get any natural lighting. The curtain can't seen to be moved.
- bongc782 (4/5): Poor Customer Service - The company accommodated us in this hotel for 7 days. My experience is not quite good. The first thing is that staff is not accommodating and approachable, and customer service is poor. I suggest you attend training on how to handle requests and concerns, which means that communication is poor. I notice that you've prioritized foreigners; how about your regular guests, who supposedly will be treated fairly?
This is the first, but probably the last. Anyway, the location is great and accessible to a big bang, and convenient store.
- Jehan (8/5): - i love this hotel its very comfy and the staff is nice
- Mitus (8/5): - Property is dated and definitely needs some upgrades. If you just need a place to sleep and shower then the price is right for this hotel with complimentary breakfast. Staff are super friendly and courteous. Their customer service is outstanding.
- NosnahHanson (8/5): value hotel in central city - we walked most places we needed to go, very central. This is a low cost, value hotel but it is clean, comfortable beds and has the basics as you would expect. Lovely staff. It offered secure of street parking.
- Todd (8/5): - Excellent except for the air conditioner not keeping the room cool. Was hot in the room.
- Nicholo (4/5): Very bad experience - The hotel is very old and shows a lot of big cracks from the recent earthquake
- Verified traveler (6/5): -
- heyzeldeyzel (8/5): Oh MY HOTEL :-) - Room space was just enough for a typical overnight stay or even a 3 day stay. Nothing fancy, very minimalist which is ideal as it was just meant for sleeping over as most of the day time we are out of the hotel and enjoying the beauty of Davao.
The breakfast was done accordingly and was cooked just the way we wanted it, no buffet but freshly cooked choiced meals. Location was ideal as it was in the center of the city, easy access to People's Park, Public Market (Bankerohan) and even to the South or North part of Davao City. Service was not bad at all, there was a room attendant who is ready to assist for the luggage and for whatever you require.
An observation and opportunity to improve are the OJT students who were assigned on the kitchen, we find them lousy in terms of how they dress themselves and how they serve the food on the table. Courtesy was not obvious, they could have been mentored or coach by the kitchen supervisor so they can improve as they represent My Hotel while they are on job training.
Generally, it was an okay hotel.
- dmiro21 (8/5): Hotel in the City - I stayed here last October 2019 for 4 nights. I booked for a double room in this hotel, the space is just okay. It has a double bed, 1 side table, work table, flatscreen tv with some channels, hot and cold showers and towels and free toiletries (tissue and soap).
Cleanliness ⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3/5): I rated just 3 because there’s a bit of weird smell upon entering the room. The comforter, sheets, pillow cases and blankets have stains and smells old. The floor also are dusty and the showers and faucets are a little bit rusty.
Comfort ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5): The matress itself are comfortable and the airconditioning works properly but as mentioned above, the sheets smells old.
Services ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5): I love their services. Specially the front desk officers (Apple and I forgot to ask the name of the other one), they are very professional and accommodating. We asked them a lot of times regarding directions and they always gave us a detailed one. So we didn’t got lost getting around Davao. The restaurant staff are also very accommodating and the food services are very quick.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5): We ate here everyday for our free breakfasts and all of the plated meals I ordered I am very much satisfied. They served the food plentiful and they even have unli brewed coffee every morning.
Location ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5): I can say that this hotel is in a very strategic location because it is near to some of the tourist destinations of Davao like People’s Park, Roxas Night Market, Bankerohan Public Market. It is also very near many restaurants and some of the jeepneys and taxi routes (To Eden Nature Park (Toril bound), To Jack’s Ridge (Matina bound) are just walking distance or just in front from or of the hotel.
- Sunshine830980 (10/5): VERY SATISFIED CUSTOMER - Very satisfied for hotel accommodation. Check in process was good. Housekeeping Services is Excellent. Staff Friendliness is 5/5. The breakfast is good 5/5. The Price is very cheap. My over all stay was very good.
- Verified traveler (6/5): -
- Rick (8/5): - Nice little hotel, they serve breakfast in the morning and the price to stay there was great, very clean hotel i was surprised. I would stay there again very nice staff
- Freddie (6/5): No fridge available - Close to heart of the city, but no fridge in the room which is very important?
- Ismael (6/5): - Location is good
- mylestan (6/5): 3 star hotel for a 3 star price - you get what you pay for. i got the cheapest room
the staff service is excellent. and the bed was soso
the walls are flmisy however and you can hear lots of activities at night
Its cheap and you will get what you pay for. ill get another hotel when i come back to davao
- Donna (10/5): - Great Hotel! My parents loved their 3 days stay. Also early complimentary breakfast wasn’t expected at all so it a plus rate! Very accommodating staff. Indeed we will recommend this hotel :-)
Thank you My Hotel for catering my parents they enjoyed it much!
- jayapandianv (4/5): Hotel stay was nightmare - The room was small and aircon extremely noisy most nights cant get to sleep. No view from windows. On the plus side room was clean. Quite centrally located with shops nearby. Hotel food was ok. Prices were also ok.
- miguell007 (6/5): Just creativeAverage - One thing good with this hotel tho is that they had maintained the cleanliness. The first time that i had stayed there was about three years ago, the cleanliness of the hotel was pleasantly maintained. From the comfort room to the room all was clean.
Cable tv wasn't working. It didn't bother me tho as im for the comfort of the room than the tv. But it would be very frustrating for someone who regularly watched teleseryes as you don't see anything clear on it. You don't have much choices but just listen to the audio thus transforming their tv into a radio, hahahaha. Very creative, yeah? Atleast you are not that frustrated. If you're fond of watching cable tv DON'T stay in My Hotel. But if you go for room comfort, cleanliness and accessibility then i would highly recommend this hotel.
- Mae (6/5): Affordable hotel - It is a bit old hotel but our room was clean. Location was great , near to fastfoods and etc.
- MapleMadeline (4/5): Cheap - First time I stayed here there was free soap and fresh towels. Rooms have air condition, wifi and cable. Now, the wifi and cable are gone. Room service didn't clean our room they just place new towels and soap. The food is bad. The TV had very bad reception. At least the rooms are still air-conditioned.
- MuillerBasketfood (6/5): Experienced in My Hotel, Davao City - The Hotel is located in the heart of the city. Accessible in Bangkeruhan 5 minutes walk from the hotel where you can buy different fruits in cheap price and can walk around. Price of the room is really affordable and room is quite good and air conditioning unit is to small for the capacity. Cable are terrible too.
The biggest thing is photographs in the internet are deceitful that is not how it look likes. Wi fi is terrible cannot access.
- Frechi (10/5): Home Far Away from Home - "When I was still a kid (elementary years),this was where our family stayed.Been searching for it until i found out that they changed already its name. When I found the place,it felt good.I found my "home far away from home."Thank you,MY HOTEL.For the staff, stay warm, friendly and accommodating always(YOU ARE,GUYS).You have kept the name. The place is clean (aside from its affordable) which made my stay complete.Again, thank you."
- chrstnb23 (8/5): Good Value - Simple and Basic hotel. Good value if you are staying for a quick trip. Dont expect luxury ammenities but over all a comfortable stay. Located downtown in the busy part of the city. The commute is easy. Nice cafe and lobby as they have recently renovated.
- RizwanE4 (6/5): Your basic Budget Hotel - This was my 2nd stay in a long while and I must say they have maintained their standard. A little rusty then before, some small wear and tear but the quality of comfort is still there. I changed 2 rooms and each room was dimly lit. Their rooms used to be nicely lit.
These are your basic Budget; bring your own toothbrush & shampoo rooms. You get a nice chilling Air-con. No fridge. Daily housekeeping and fresh towels with two soaps.
Centrally located hotel near city hall, a 7 Eleven right across from you and also good for those looking for some action and cheap pick-ups.
- SustiH (10/5): Best accomodation EVER for budget travellers! - I spent 5 nights in a SINGLE fan-room and paid 250p per night!
A bed in a loud dormitory would about the same price!
An useful sink and faucet can be found in the room, the common cr is just outside.
Room is cleaned and towels changed everyday!
Best price and quality for the budget traveler in Davao!!
- drjones (8/5): Cheap & Clean - I have stayed here repeatedly. It is always affordable, in the heart of the city, friendly staff, and clean rooms. I like the location. I aways stop there first then I meet my party and I go to other destinations in Davao.
- bonzki05 (4/5): So so hotel.. - I have stayed only here for a very short period.. I just booked a non aircon room because its cheap and was recommended by my staff. Receptionist was courteous but you need to deposit 200php for the room key (nice business).. Anyway, at first my stay was ok but as time goes by its really getting hotter and suffocating:(( its really very uncomfortable.. So I decided to move to another hotel which is cheaper yet airconditioned. Overall, if you can tolerate the heat and get the cheapest deal, go for it!
- MattTD (4/5): Pretty basic, pretty poor. - With a promotional rate of 995p (~US$20), I was looking forward to seeing this place. However, as I arrived, I discovered that this is the area where the local “working girls” are out on the streets.
Seen from US standards, this hotel is pretty poor. The structure is old and worn. The first room I was given, 407 if I recall correctly, was poorly lit with a single bare bulb on the wall and, in the first three minutes, I spotted three cockroaches.
The front desk staff was very pleasant and accommodating. I was quickly assigned a new room (217). This room did appear to be cockroach-free, but the single light in the ceiling hardly provided enough light to read with. In addition, the room had zero mobile phone signal and I was unable to connect to the wi-fi, although there was a strong signal. The wi-fi might have been my own lack of technical ability.
I ended up checking out and getting my money back. Again, the staff was very pleasant and helpful.
I'm sure that for Filipinos, this might be seen as a much better place, but again, I'm seeing it through US eyes.
- jasu2014 (8/5): It was a 400Php room - It was a 400Php room. A solo trip. There was just an electric fan inside the room, much more than what I need since I'm asthmatic. There is a functional elevator but you're more than welcome to use the stairs. Good value for your money, especially if you're out most of the time to explore the sights.
- mariateresitae (8/5): Very Good Hotel! - My Hotel in Davao City is the best Hotel in Davao City if Speaking in Budget, the location of the hotel is great, getting there is not a problem, the rooms are clean and spacious, the employees are kind, Best Hotel in Davao City.
- caluma_11 (6/5): Budget, tatty but decent location - A basic and budget hotel which will suffice for those needing a clean, cheap and safe bolt hole in downtown. There's a few decent restaurants and coffee shops nearby and San Pedro street has jeepney buses to all parts of the city. The rooms are depressing with drab interiors and a fading budget and basic look. Tip : book direct and save 30% vs Agoda ; also rooms on the back on a clear day get MT APO views.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Hotel in the heart of the city. - I would like to start off by saying that this hotel is certainly NOT the worst that I've stayed in. The hotel was safe with a guard outside at all times. They hotel staff was very professional with smiles and hellos at all times. The hotel room was cleaned everyday with fresh linens and towels. The hotel is near the Davao municipal hall and a large cathedral but located on a very very busy street. Watch your pockets! Pick pockets abound. The internet is very unreliable and of the three weeks that I stayed at the hotel it only worked well on the week ends. The hotel offers about 10 wireless networks, and seldom did any of them actually connect, even when going downstairs. The shower offers warm water. Many hotels in the area offer a complementary breakfast but this one does not. They offer toast and jelly for 75 pesos (and that's pretty pricy). The location is nice and is a simple 5-10 minute jeepney ride from the Ecoland Bus terminal and several malls. There is a Jolleybee and a Chow King near by and several grocery stores. Overall I give the hotel a 3 out of 5.
- Verified traveler (6/5):
