• howardxp1 (10/5): Good staff, food, rooms and location. Just a few negatives to correct. - This Marriott is pretty much what you’d expect for the brand. It was quite pricey though compared to the other 5 star hotels in Cali. Double in most cases which was quite unusual. (Hundreds per day) Most guests including us used points, which were very low. If possible try to get a junior suite or higher and access to the great executive lounge and its wonderful staff. The food was different every day and quite varied. Valeria deserves special mention as she really stood out going well beyond the call of duty. Most of the staff were great everywhere. The negatives: - The sauna was not really working well during the whole 25 days that we were there. It just didn’t get hot enough to make anyone sweat. - the swimming pool is very small. Maybe 8 - 9 meters. Almost impossible to swim laps. - The pool is also quite cold as it’s not heated. That would have been nice. Management did give us a 30 minute complementary massage to make up for the sauna, which was a nice gesture. Howard S.

• J3440RKfredm (10/5): Best Hotel in Cali-Perfect for Business Travelers - The hotel is probably the best in Cali. Everyone was friendly from check in to check out. The room was a huge suite the size of an apartment with two bathrooms and a large living room. The restaurant serves nice cocktails; however, service is spotty. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cali.

• K34685Mac (10/5): Modern luxury hotel in Cali's stylish northern section of city - Have stayed in this beautiful property multiple times over the last year and most recently this month. There are limited 'American' branded lodging opportunities in Cali and this is probably one of the two best. Each stay has felt like being welcomed back home and the staff is top notch. Frankly, the experience is generally far better than what you'd realize in the chain's domestic locations. Each day, there is a beautiful restaurant breakfast buffet featuring many local specialties. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The hotel is in a stylish section of the city and security (private and/or local police) is always in evidence at the hotel's front door.
• O1833GPvad (10/5): One Month Stay at Cali Marriott - all was excellent - As Marriott Lifetime Titanium, we stay at many hotels, and Cali Marriott provides the best experience, food & beverage and personal service from their friendly and responsive staff. Extra clean, quiet, safe and secure, with a good location near Centenario Mall. We enjoy the expansive buffet breakfast and invite friends and family for the Sunday Brunch at The Market. The Executive Lounge, food and drinks each night, always super service. Housekeeping does a great job servicing our room. We use the on-site transportation almost every day, with modern air conditioned comfortable vehicles. Our last stay was a month and did not want to leave. Looking forward to returning...

• DifferentPerspectiv (4/5): THE WORST MARRIOTT AWARD? - Not the worst but after a very lengthy stay I can say this is one of the worst Marriotts I have ever stayed in. The gym is deserving of a 1 star hotel looking like it was put together 20 years ago with non working cardio equipment. And if you come with gold status no upgrade for you. And if you pay with points even with a lengthy stay expect to be barred from the executive lounge. I suppose only cash is respected but way to make a long term customer feel terrible. I had the buffet only once for breakfast and it’s perfect for those that like cold food that’s supposed to be hot. It would also have been nice if they were consistent with preparing the sauna in the gym but unfortunately even that basic amenity wasn’t handled well. I think do yourself a favor and stay at the Intercontinental. It’s the simple things that they can’t even do here. Fail.

• 414juanluisl (2/5): HORRIBLE!!!! THE WORST EXPERIENCE!!!! - I live in Cali, Colombia. I used to work for the UN so I have traveled to over 140 countries and stayed in many hotels. A friend and I decided to go to the Marriot for breakfast, It was the most awful experience of our lives. We arrived and I asked if they had baguette bread. They said they did and would heated for me. it took 1 !/2 hours to get it. I asked for scrambled eggs and got a dry omlette. My companion asked for a soft omlette with tomatoes and mushroom. The omlette was as dry as the Mohave and the mushrooms had a funny amonia taste (we later found out through google that this indicates they are wrotten and should not be eaten. The coffee (in Colombia of all places) was a weak brew and tasted like someone had used a sock rather than coffee to brew that "beverage". The juices tasted like tang...and all of this for the equivalent sum of 18 dollars per person. Next to us sat a gentleman from New Jersey. He heard me complain to my guest. We started to talk and he not only agreed the food was awful but told us he had stayed there before (his company ask for him to stay there) and THEY HAD STOLEN HIS WATCH FROM HIS ROOM!!!!! DO NOT STAY THERE!!!!!

• 58natyt (4/5): Not worth it - We had a lot of expectations since we were staying at a Marriott Hotel, but the experience was very disappointing. Both of my husband and I are Colombians. Cali is my husband’s hometown and we went in a leisure trip for a few days with our 9 month old baby. Everything went well the first couple of days, then all went downhill. I called the spa to book a massage and right after providing the available times, she told me the price in USD which I found odd since I’m in Colombia and she could tell by my accent that I’m local. Mind you, $180 usd for a relaxing massage at an exchange rate of $4600 COP (the official exchange rate was $4200 COP that day) I found it extremely expensive and decided not to take it. The next day I tried to order room service, because my baby was taking his nap and called a few times - no answer - called the lobby to see if they could transfer the call and nada. So at the end had to wake up my baby and go downstairs to have breakfast in one of the restaurants. Went to the lobby and told the front desk (Sebastian) the situation. By the time we went back to the room it was already time to check out, so we packed and left the room on time. We got into the elevator and - oh surprise - we got stuck! We were trapped in the elevator with our luggage and a 9 month old baby FOR AN HOUR. After many “please remain calm” when they finally open the elevator the only thing we heard was “let me help you with the stroller” … what? No apologies at all! (I’m not saying it was their fault) but they could’ve opened the elevator way sooner. It was a matter of grabbing the keys and open the doors with the keys, there was no rocket science there. Finally it was time to check out but little did we know what we were going to find out in that bill. They had the audacity to charge breakfast TWICE for our baby. The baby who only takes a few bites from our own food had to pay $260.000 COP. Never heard something more ridiculous in my life. I’m not sure if all this bad service had to do with the fact that we were on the “friends and family” rate. I really hope not. Good customer service has to be at the same level for all guests. They don’t realize all those things hurt the Marriott brand, or they just don’t care. Anyway, I just hope management takes all this into consideration and change it for the future because at least for us, this was the first and last time staying in that hotel.
• Verified traveler (2/5): - For sure the worst Marriot in Colombia and probably in Latam. The walls seems made of paper. You can hear everything from the room next door. The breakfast took more than an hour to order from the menu because they did not have all the ingredients. Literally they told us they have to go to the supermarket to prepare our breakfast. We carried heavy luggage but they did not have bellboy since COVID. I do not know why they are a Marriott. They should be a Hampton Inn or even lower. Overpriced!
• O1833GPvad (10/5): Cali Marriott - always provides us a great experience - Fourth visit to Cali Colombia Marriott in past year, been coming to the wonderful property since they opened about 10 years ago. The Executive Chef and Food & Beverage Manager (see photo) are always very engaged with the guests to make sure everyone receives the highest quality meals with great personal and friendly service. Cali Marriott is a great venue for business lunches or corporate meetings, we've held many family events here. The property is clean, safe and secure, with staff always around to assist with any need. Front desk team is one of the best, quick and friendly check-in, and responsive to any requests during your stay. Housekeeping always does a wonderful job and services the room based on our schedule, and always says hello with a smile when they see us in the hallways. The Executive Lounge is one of our favorites, drinks, wide selection of food including soups, meat/seafood/chicken and dessert, and always fresh sushi. Very convenient hotel location, and the hotel's professional drivers are available at the entrance to transport you in their modern air conditioned comfortable vehicles, we use them frequently. Thank you Cali Marriott - we'll see you soon.

• Cimerahou (4/5): The ugliest and worst located Mariott Hotel. - Possibly the ugliest of any of the Marriott Hotels and in an impossible location that is difficult to go anywhere without a car or taxi. Sure you can walk to the small shopping centre at Centenario to relieve the car fumes surrounding the hotel, but it is difficult to conceive of a more awkward situation. Once inside it is the usual Mariott, a bit bland but the quality is assured. The reality is however, who wants to stay inside a hotel all the time? There are so many other and much better locations in Cali than this, so why on earth did they choose the intersection of two very busy roads with limited/no footpath?
• TropicalTraveler78 (10/5): Nice and new-ish in a good neighborhood - Overall I was happy with the Marriott and the paid upgrade to the exec lounge which also included breakfast was definitely worth it. The hotel is pretty new looking & feeling with clean and comfortable (albeit small) rooms. the breakfast buffet is over the top and the staff are very nice. The neighborhood is good, walkable, and safe. The only negative is that the pool is very small and there are no lounge chairs. We went over to intercontinental and their pool is much bigger and had more of a resort-ish feel. Might try that one if I'm in Cali again due to those amenities but overall was happy with the Marriott.

Atención de calidad de parte del restaurante, allí está Edilson, quien siempre está atento de los más mínimos detalles, realmente me siento en casa cada vez que voy, también a Gabriel quien siempre tiene una sonrisa y un deseo de servir impecablemente. Al resto del equipo en la cocina que se esmera por preparar comida de calidad con un variado buffet y menú. A las chicas que atienden cuando uno llega a comer, siempre bien vestidas y amables para dar la bienvenida. A los muchachos del front desk que siempre son serviciales y atentos a los más mínimos detalles. A la seguridad que resguarda la propiedad, ellos que siempre están atentos cumpliendo con su labor. Por último no el menos importante, a aquellos que limpian las habitaciones, que lo hacen con esfuerzo y con un sentido de detalles, las sábanas perfectamente puestas y limpias, el baño limpio con pulcritud, y el resto de la habitación que es arreglada. Gracias a todos por hacerme sentir en casa.

• fun2travel1616 (10/5): Top notch hotel. Highly recommended - Comfort and cleanliness Is what you can expect at this Marriott. I stayed at room 610 while visiting a friend at this city and really enjoyed my stay. The front desk and staff are very helpful and knowledgeable about local tourist spots. The breakfast buffet is delicious. No doubt that I would stay at this Marriott again if I visit Cali again.

Hamilton provided exceptional service above n beyond, different from the other 2 drivers we had.

• O1833GPvad (10/5): Super Personal Service As Always - Our third visit to Cali Marriott in past year, and probably over 20 visits in past 10 years, every time we receive outstanding personal service from the entire staff and management. Great secure location, located around the corner from large upscale shopping mall. The entire property is spotless, staff is always cleaning. Our favorite meal is breakfast, excellent with wide variety of fresh selections at either the main restaurant or executive lounge - make sure to take your time to enjoy breakfast at the hotel. The executive lounge team is superb, always friendly with high energy maintaining the food, drinks, serving guests and keep tables clean. Happy to handle any special requests. The F&B Manager is always visible, any time we're in the restaurants he comes over personally to say hello, even remembers your orders and any special requests, One time I mentioned a beer brand I like, when we came in for lunch the server immediately brought it to our table without me even asking, now that's VIP service! The main restaurant is an excellent venue to host a business lunch or dinner. Rooms and suites are comfortable, with excellent daily housekeeping - if we walk by in the hallway, the housekeepers always smile, say hello and ask if we need anything for the room, how nice is that! Plenty of space with charging locations to comfortably work in public areas, while you enjoy a drink or bite from the restaurants. On any given day you may be sitting next to a celebrity or one of the players on the Colombian Football Team. Prices very reasonable for this higher-end property. Highly recommend to use the hotel's driver service for airport pick up and drop off and for rides around town - the vehicles are modern and clean, large, air conditioned and comfortable, and the drivers professional. The fully equipped gym has a nice selection of machines and free weights. Cali Marriott team, we'll be back soon....

• Alexandra (4/5): - We were incredibly disappointed by the staff and service at this hotel, particularly the staff in the restaurant and front desk staff. The restaurant is not only completely understaffed and under-resourced but the staff that IS there is not attentive at aL. In addition, the hotel seems to prioritize non-hotel guests for seating so we often had to wait to get a table and the supposed” free breakfast buffet” which was included in our rate had no food left on two occasions. We also tried having drinks and lite food at night in the restaurant and again, no staff and poor service. As for the front desk, we were greeted on the night of our arrival by a gentleman that clearly just didn’t want to be there. He was rude and snapped at us when we asked about the restaurant hours. Marriott Cali which is supposed to be one of the city’s best hotels was a big disappointment unfortunately.

Breakfast on weekends....eventhough we were eligibile for breakfast on 8th floor ...there was no lounge working... Downstairs no place to eat cus local people coming to eat .... Probably the worst Marriot experience globally since we travel globally... I called the hotel manager to tell that we were chased by the front desk people outside although we were not checking out, she never called back and never followed. Beautiful facility and absolute the worst complete staff ever in Marriott...We definitely will be looking for different property for us and our employees. Cleaning crue did a good job managing our suite so they were exception

• Kristina (6/5): Would Not recommend this hotel - Marriott Cali - I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff was nice and it was a descent neighborhood, however it wasn't what I expected. There was a very small pool in the lobby that could hold maybe 5 persons and a lounge chair, the pool was ice cold. The breakfast that was included was horrible, they advertise multiple restaurants but its really one. The food is not that tasty and hardly any native food.

THEY DENIED MY FLOWERS TO BE DELIVERED. Didn’t pick up the phone when I called 15 times and one time picked up and left it off the hook!? When I finally got through they were rude. The rooms are way smaller than the square footage they said online. I know there’s better options I should have gone to intercontinental. It’s laughable that they still have 5 stars honestly had to wait 20 minutes for breakfast because they said they were going to let paid visitors go first. I could go on and on.
