• Newell (9/5): It was so peaceful and relaxing - I loved how peaceful and quiet the cabin was, also the view of the mountains were beautiful. We ended up seeing a black bear beside the cabin next to us, which was a bonus! I wish the pool and outdoor hot tub was open later and also the faucet in one of the bathrooms kept falling off.

• Maksym (9/5): - That was awesome. We spent an amazing 14 days. Quiet and scenic place. The accommodation was quiet and warm despite the fact that there was -28C outside. Even though there was a short hot-water supply issue that was resolved urgently. To be honest, I was really surprised when I had not made it from reception to the cottage when the facility manager arrived to sort out the problem. The inconvenience was sorted in two hours - commendable service. I would definitely recommend that place. We stayed for two weeks. I would highly appreciate it if there were a provision for additional midstay cottage cleaning (for an additional charge, for example) or if that option could be proposed during the booking stage.

My fami spent a wonderful time here. - two private washroom meets 4 person's need; beatiful window view and comprohensive kichen facilities! the blanket is too heavy and with three layers. it's too complicated' my children doesn't like using it all night.

Old buildings need some maintenance, an annoying smoke alarm was came on infrequently, two of the four oven burners did not work, carpet had big wrinkles to trip over.
• Tetiana (8/5): In general, nature decides everything, it's okay to stay for 2 days, the house is nice, wooden, the jacuzzi is also - I liked the location, the nature is very beautiful, everything you need is in the kitchen, it's clean! The sofa and armchair are quite old and scratched already.

While the beds and bedding were super comfortable, the upstairs mattress was a bit sunken in/leaning down from middle to head, could do with a rotate to level out the mattress. Did not affect the comfort or our sleep.

• Volker (8/5): In Summe sehr gemütlich - wir hatten eine gute Zeit! - Tolle Lage, super Flair! Gemütliche Atmosphäre, schöne Anlage mit vielen Spielmöglichkeiten für Kinder (und Erwachsene)! Anlage ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, zwar sehr charmant, aber teils abgenutzt. Bei uns war leider Pool und Fitnessstudio gesperrt. Das Personal war teils super freundlich, es gab aber auch weniger gute Erfahrungen.
• Chambers (10/5): Fabulous holiday, in a spacious, well equipped chalet, with stunning views of the Rocky Mountains. - The location of Banff Gate Mountain Resort is ideal for hiking in the Rocky Mountains. It's just off the Trans Canada Highway and a short drive to Canmore, the nearest small town but also is close to Dead Mans Flats, which has petrol stations, a cafe and small convenience stores. The chalet is well equipped and the bed was extremely comfortable. The staff are lovely and provided extra supplies such as dishwasher tablets and loo roll when requested. There is a laundry on site. I booked this location as it also has an inside pool area, however it was closed for refurbishment during the length of our stay. This was very disappointing. The chalet is quite dated and could do with an upgrade. The windows and BBQ were really dirty, however the inside of the chalet was very clean.

A very solemn place to restart and seek the Lord in this serene and beautiful place, surrounded by the mountains and nature. Perfect for a prayer walk, morning run and others. Was not able to use other amenities due to maintenance. Some of the cabins have broken screens.

• Andrea (9/5): We had a wonderful experience at the Banff Gate Mountain Resort and would definitely stay again. - We were celebrating a special birthday and rented 3 of the deluxe cabins. The location was so peaceful, with wonderful views. The beds were super comfy, the kitchens were all fully equipped with all the things we needed for cooking meals, and the cabins were spacious inside. The outside of the cabins could use a little TLC, but nothing to keep us from coming back.

• Jullian (9/5): - Their bedding for the bedrooms were great! It was fluffy, cozy, & spacious, The views for the deluxe cottages are much better than the regular ones. Highly recommend staying here during winter and fall as there is no AC. They should provide which exact cottage you are booking beforehand. Including a map of the property during booking and a chance to choose/suggest which cottages we prefer.

• Veaceslav (8/5): - What I really liked was the location of the resort. The cabin is surrounded by mountains, which makes the scenery absolutely beautiful and peaceful. The cabin itself was large and spacious, which is great especially when traveling with family. However, there were a few things that disappointed us. From the very beginning, when we arrived, we noticed that the cabin we were given did not match the photos shown on Booking. The interior furniture was old, and the kitchen looked completely different from the pictures we had seen. When we addressed this at reception, we were told that they do not have photos for all cabins, and we were asked to pay an additional $80 to be moved to what they called a “luxury” cabin. This was quite frustrating, as the photos were a major factor in our booking decision. Another issue was the heating. During the night, the heat seemed to turn off automatically, and in the morning the cabin was quite cold. Traveling with children, this was especially uncomfortable and unpleasant. Lastly, cleanliness could definitely be improved. Overall, while the location is beautiful, our experience did not fully meet expectations.

The kitchen cabinets are extremely old — it honestly felt like stepping back into the 1980s. One of the cabinets didn’t even have a door. The heating system is very loud. Sleeping was almost impossible — we woke up every time the heater turned on. If it was warm upstairs, it was cold downstairs, and there was no way to adjust the temperature to make the whole cabin comfortable. The house also feels unstable — it literally moves when you walk around. The pillows were terrible. We stayed only two nights, and nobody slept well either night. The pillows are huge and very uncomfortable — our necks hurt and our whole bodies felt sore. These were some of the worst nights we’ve had. What upset us the most was the pool experience. We went with our children to swim before bedtime at around 8:00 pm, but we were not allowed in. There was a large group already swimming outside, while the indoor pool was empty. At the entrance, we were told we would only have 30 minutes. We agreed, saying that was enough. Then the staff member reduced it to 20 minutes, then 15, and eventually said that in 5 minutes she would ask us to leave — and that we must already be out, not even changing. We did not expect such rigid and dismissive behavior. The children were very upset, and we, as parents, were shocked by how the allowed time was reduced from 30 minutes to 5 minutes. In reality, we were simply not allowed to use the pool at all. It left a very unpleasant impression. We stayed from January 4 to January 6 and were pleasantly surprised by the price compared to summer and New Year rates. Unfortunately, despite the good price, the overall aftertaste of this stay was negative.

When we booked they told us the pool was not available but when we arrived it was open , which was nice but we didnt have swimsuits, just some days it opens until 12pm.

• Mauri (10/5): Enjoyed our stay and the relaxing privacy of our little cottage. Was well stocked for our needs. - Beautiful setting and great amenities in the kitchen. Easy to get to our destinations from here and enjoyed the privacy of our cabin. The pillows were really stiff and the loft was too high. They were most uncomfortable with all 4 of us struggling to get comfortable without significant neck cramps. Upper level was a sauna at night.
