• graydon (6/5): Spark by Hilton: Clean, Kind, and Algorithmically Overpriced - The hotel is very clean, the staff is exceptionally friendly, and the bed is comfortable. Those are the strongest points. For a short stay, it delivers well on the basics: cleanliness, courtesy, and rest. The problem is value: like so many hotels now, this property is priced as if cleanliness were a luxury concept rather than the bare minimum. Everything is cosmetically clean, but the materials have that familiar cheap plastic sheen of corporate hospitality pretending to be design. The location is grim: cement, highway noise, gas stations, fast food, and the general ambiance of a spreadsheet with parking. The amenities are equally joyless. Free coffee arrives in tiny hotel-branded cups, and breakfast offers the usual bottom-line buffet of electric-colored Froot Loops and institutional carbohydrates. All of this would be perfectly acceptable at a genuinely low price, but it is not. Algorithms have learned to overcharge for mediocrity, and the hotel industry has apparently mistaken “basic” for “boutique.” Spark by Hilton is not especially sparky, except for the genuinely delightful people who work there.

• LaBrittany (5/5): I was not satisfied with this hotel being connected to Hilton. - The location was perfect. Close to ALOT of food places and the mall. The bed was pretty comfy also. Check in was 3pm. I arrived at 4:40 and my room was still not ready. Came back to check in after eating around 6pm. Headed to take a shower and there was hair in the sink and shower. Went to use a Kleenex and only two were on the box so once I pulled that was it. When it was time for bed you can hear every step in the hallways and every door that closed. Sounded like it was in the same room.

• Cervantes (6/5): - I get there early. Maybe 2030 minutes early, so I kind of ask. If I could check it, I was told. Yes, but I had to pay $25, so I said, that's okay. I'll wait sat in the lobby 5 minutes later. A man walks in gets checked in. I sit there and I stare at the cashier. Our front desk clerk, and she smiles and walks away that upset me. Why was it okay for him to check-in? But it wasn't okay for me to check-in. So I ran into him. When the lobby later and I asked, did you check in early?Yes, I did.He says, I said, did you pay twenty five dollars to check in early?He said, no, ma'am, I did not now.You tell me, was that fair of the girl to check him in?And wouldn't check me in.That's my biggest complaint

I've always asked for the 1st floor never the second or third. Then, when you do try to contact staff, they never answer or call you back. And the last thing the breakfast was horrible.I am the director of accounting for halliburton corporation and I was in charge of locating a hotel.Thinking it would be the spark because i've stayed there previously but I would not dare to recommend this hotel to anyone

• Porter (7/5): Terrible BREAKFAST - The location of my room Bixby can you the breakfast was horrible? All there was was bagels, cold cereal. I didn't even see milk available in the machine coffee regular, no decaf. In stale bagels, the breakfast was a zero there was nothing hot
• Lillibeth (8/5): Overall the stay was fine. Just a few minor things I would fix to improve the stay - The stay overall was good. The lobby was nice, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The room was nice and comfortable. A few items that were not great: There were several lights that kept flickering. The ac unit kept making a loud screeching sound. The bathroom was a little dirty. There was mildew in the shower and dried up lotion on the wall. The security latch was missing a screw, so it wasn't usable. And I didn't think there were any breakfast items of sustenance. They were all more like snacks.

Overall, it was a very clean hotel and the right price! Very convenient for access to the highway as well as the main road where most things you’d look for are!

I could also hear when other people were coming and going. I hardly got any sleep and the beds were extremely uncomfortable. There was also hair on the shower walls and the sink was dirty.

Could basically walk-to my destinations., basically everything was around the corner. The staff was very kind and well mannered. I could say nothing bad about my stay. • Selena (5/5): My stay here was decent and budget friendly - The accommodations were decent! I liked that breakfast was included and the breakfast itself was okay. Everything was nice and clean. The location itself is located by a highway so I get that its bound to be noisy. I had unpleasant experience with the front desk employee. I've stayed at other hotels so I dont know if this was that hotel's particular protocol but when checking out and getting my deposit back she went and checked the room personally to see if there was any damage to which she found none and gave me back my deposit. I sat in the lobby and waited for 20-30 minutes for my ride to pick me up and saw other people get checked out and noticed she didnt check any of their rooms. I could be overthinking this but I cant help but feel discriminated against a bit over this.

Jenna went overboard to help me retrieve some items I forgot in my room and had the most pleasant attitude and disposition without even hesitating to stop what she was doing to help me out. Cleaning staff was extremely cordial, warm, friendly and inviting. Everyone greeted us with a since smile and hello. When I say EVERYTHING was clean in this hotel, it was CLEAN! The vibrant colors in the lobby just created such an atmosphere of joy and happiness. My husband and I slept so peacefully through the night. I told the man that was at the desk ( I didn’t get his name) when I checked out, I enjoyed being there so much that I wished I didn’t have to leave, I wish I could pay for another night and stay again. It was the BEST hotel experience my husband and I have had this entire year! Kudos to Spark by Hilton in Victoria, Texas! You guys are the BEST!

• Mary (9/5): Clean room... - The room was big, clean, and close to everything. Beds were comfortable and had plenty of pillows. I had to stand between the sink and the toilet to close the bathroom door. The only ice machine is on the ground floor. Not enough tables for breakfast. I checked twice and every seat was taken. Only one person could sit down in our double queen room. There was one desk chair so when we brought food to the room we had to sit on the beds to eat. There was plenty of room to put 2 comfortable sitting chairs. I thought the price was too high for this many concerns.
• Hernandez (3/5): This place is ridiculous next time Im in town ill stay at the Hampton or candlewood - It was nice but the people are rude They charged my credit card 4 times and caused my credit card to be cancelled for fraud and now have to have capital one re issue me a card and since I’m traveling it messed with my ability to get my rental car paid and my use to for anything while traveling

• Luiz (8/5): - Everything was great about the area, property, and room. The only thing was that we had a "warm" welcome. The room felt like a sauna when we first got in it. I know they were just saving money, but maybe at least have some air on when new guests arrive. Other than that, all great.
• Learner (9/5): Easy, cozy, accommodating and warm - I appreciated the room we stayed in, the service as well. One of the things which stood out was the fact that since we were staying at night and left to grab a bite, the clerk kept the doors locked and let us back in promptly when we got back. This meant that the property was safe as could be. The room had a smart tv with all the streaming services available where as other locations just had basic cable. I also appreciated the check in dynamic; check in anytime after 3pm and checkout was always at 11. Other locations made you make a reservation at a precise time and if you could not make it on that hour you were charged an immediate cancellation fee, which I feel is a somewhat unfair tactic. The room was very cozy and modern. A perfect stay for me and my significant other. Will definitely be staying there again!

• cds72 (10/5): Great place - Apparently this is Hilton's econo brand, well this brand, it isn't. Redone rooms with a decent amount of light , comfortable king size bed, and big tv for a small room, good carpet, and decent decoration make this not feel economy, but the price sure was. No pool, and that's fine, perhaps they can ask the Hampton Inn next door if we can use it. Device to get water, and exercise room, make this a nice place im impressed, a huge step up from a Days Inn.
