Guest Reviews
- Mary (7/5): Overall the hotel was good - The hot breakfast was good Didn't like the breakfast hours. The toilet seat in our room needed repair. I thought the price of the hotel was a little steep.
- Stidham (9/5): Awesome - Love the suite as everyone had there own room to sleep Convenient
- Juanita (10/5): Hotel is very clean, staff is wonderful and they go beyond for their guests. Rooms are spacious and very clean. - I love it all there wasn’t a problem 1 with this hotel. Absolutely amazing! N/A
- Maja5305 (10/5): Great gem! - The double bedroom suite was very clean with everything we needed, and a good size room to fit a family of 5. The beds were comfy (at home we sleep on Tempurpedic-for comparison). The breakfast was great (even had English muffins with eggs, honey crisp apples, and oat milk). The bathroom was kind of small. Wish there was a vent that you can turn on to keep the air circulation.
- William (10/5): Great rest and good breakfast - Clean, beds comfortable, large rooms, very good breakfast and friendly staff The parking lot was not plowed and was very icy.
- Adesinae (10/5): -
- Randi (10/5): I was very impressed with this property! - The property was very clean, had an awesome breakfast, and the staff was very kind and friendly.
I was really impressed with our room, the kitchenette area had extra plates, glasses, and silverware .. even had a nice sized fridge and dishwasher. Loved the spacious closets and areas to put items away so they aren’t scattered all over the room. Would definitely stay again at this property if ever in that area.
- Jennifer (6/5): - Hotel room was clean but wasn’t that inviting. Very basic room not special. It felt & looked out dated.
- David (10/5): - The room was clean and comfortable. Being Celiac, there a couple of items on the breakfast buffet I could have.
- Rita (10/5): Great stay - Very clean, quiet, nice stay
- Joy (9/5): Great breakfast and outdoor area and friendly helpful staff .. loved it - The staff were friendly and helpful giving us brooches for activities and dining in the area.. the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was amazing with lots of choices .. it was also close to shops and eateries.. great outdoor are too, we loved our stay Noisy neighbours waking us up at 5 am
- Mark (7/5): Great location. - Friendly staff. Good location. Close to restaurants. Floor/carpet had a wet spot. Handles and doors were sticky.
- RuthShandale (10/5): I-65 Pitstop - Awesome customer service. I was able to get my room quickly. Great pit stop from i-65 get some Marriott Bonvoy points. It's like a smile apartment and I love it and I like totally want to move in because this feels like a dorm room. I mean seriously though if I didn't have a job and kids and a whole life I would totally want a small place like this because it would just be me. It's very comfy it's very cozy and it has everything one may need be it for a short stay or longer term. I do believe this is the first hotel I've stayed in that has a dishwasher! I love the tiny stove and the bigger than a mini fridge but smaller than a normal fridge. OMG ample cabinet storage. The two in one closet blew my mind! Fully stocked bathroom and kitchen soaps and such. A full size mirror. Wall controlled a/c. The note on the bed...!🫠😘😊👌🏾
My only complaint is that there are no USB-A nor USB-C outlets available. Even the stairs were nicer than I expected. Idk, it felt very welcoming. It's sister hotel is in the same parking area so it is very lit. After driving for a few hours I needed that good walk in the night air, and I felt very safe doing so.
- Lori (8/5): Very good -
- Diane (10/5): Excellent. Would highly recommend if you are in this area. - The property was exceptionally clean including rooms, common areas, pool area and even stairways. Everyone was very helpful and attentive. The breakfast was very nice for a complementary breakfast. We had trouble with the toilet and it took about 4 hours to get someone there to fix it. We had 2 rooms so we were able to use the other bathroom while it was being fixed.
- Susan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leigh (10/5): - Great stay
- Bill (6/5): - Sounded like a herd of cattle above me. No room safe. Very clean. Short of food 2days of 4 due to teen age kids. Shower stall / tub floor very slippery- no shower Matt or anti skid surface in shower.
- Rena (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was around hotel shopping The room on the next floor a child was running all day and night early in the morning back and forth jumping off beds I had to ask front desk to talk with them !!!!!
- Dawn (10/5): Great place to stay - We came in for grandsons ball tournament. Everything was neat and clean with all the basics. Sani, at the front desk was courteous and eagerly helped with any questions we had. The property looks updated with fixtures and flooring. There is some wear, like carpets, to be expected. Bed was comfy. They even had premium channels for evenings after ball for newer movies. They are eco friendly. Breakfast was pretty good with cereal choices, oatmeal with a toppings bar, breakfast sandwiches, eggs bacon and sausage, fruit, yogurt, milk and juices. Grandson loved the pool. We only wish it was a little warmer. Its very convenient with grocery and restaraunts 5 minutes down the road.
- Lori (8/5): Very good -
- Sumanth (8/5): - Good stay on the way to Atlanta
- Almedina (10/5): - Great job!
- Stephen (8/5): Perfect for one-week stay - The property is older but clean and spacious. Plenty of closet space. Drawer space galore. Squirrels outside our window were more intertwining than the television. Included breakfast was very adequate and varied somewhat from day to day.
- Smith (10/5): Exceptional -
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Our room had a very musty /
Moldy smell to it. We also found mold growing on walls in bathroom.
- Robert (6/5): - We had a 2 bedroom unit. Large living area but seating doesn’t face the tiny tv, bedrooms small but ok, bathroom (only one) ridiculously small. Beds were comfortable. Heating system annoying. When we arrived, 43 degrees outside at 8pm, the units were set on cooling. Switched to heat, room got warm, but then once set temperature was reached the unit shut off its heating but the fan stayed on so it felt cold again, like a drafty old house.
Overall, not worth the high price.
- Catandra (10/5): Exceptional -
- melmy (2/5): Stay away from this place! - Do not recommend at all for families. There’s no sound proofing and my kids simply walking was an issue. We did a two bedroom suite and the rooms are insanely small. You can barely walk around the beds. There’s no extra linens for the pull out couch. The tub was slow to drain. The breakfast was inedible we had to go elsewhere (as an example muffins were prepackaged and still frozen to the touch). We stayed here because Embassy Suites down the road was sold out. Our experience at that hotel was a million times better. The staff was not friendly. The pool wasn’t operational. There was honestly nothing redeeming about this place. My kids said it was one of the worst hotels they’ve ever been to and we travel a lot.
- Beth (6/5): Decent, but will be going back to Staybridge Suites next year. - Good location, clean. Very small rooms and very pricey pet fee. The breakfast was also not so great.
- William (10/5): - Very clean hotel, well maintained
Room was spacious and comfortable, well stocked kitchen, great to have so much closet space.
Beds very comfortable
- John (7/5): Good - The bed was very uncomfortable
- mikek6214 (4/5): Disappointing - We stayed at the Bowling Green Townplace Suites at the end of August. We were part of a very large group who travelled to Bowling Green to observe the 30th anniversary of the National Corvette Museum. We did not make the hotel arrangements ourselves - they were handled by the event team leader.
The hotel appeared old and tired and in need of a refurbishment. The floor of the indoor pool was in need of a good cleaning.
Despite my notifying the hotel in advance of my lifetime Silver Elite status with Marriott Rewards and my preferences of being on a high floor, we were assigned an accessible (handicapped) room on the first floor. Due to the design of the shower to accommodate wheelchairs, the entire bathroom floor would get wet whenever we took a shower.
They hotel offers a complimentary breakfast, but it left a lot to be desired. There was some type of an egg patty offered each day, but it was inedible. The bacon was undercooked and someone else mentioned that the sausage tasted like it had bits of bone in it. The waffles served were OK. We ended up eating oatmeal, cereal, and yogurt for the rest our stay.
- 502jacquied (2/5): Absolutely Disgusting - We have stayed here before and there were always issues. This time was the end of our stays. We returned because it is the cheapest Marriott in town. Our bedroom doors had blood on them. The exterior doors are filthy. The dishes were dirty. The bathroom was not clean. The breakfast has always been terrible, but this time had barely anything at 8:30 on a Saturday. The hallways and main areas are hot. Stay away.
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter_A_Morrell (10/5): Last Minute Selection ! - I was in the Bowling Green area for business and after staying at the Fairfield Inn I had to stay another night in Bowling Green. I used the Bonvoy app and found this TownePlace Suites at a very good price and decided to stay here. Townwplace Suites in general is one of my preferred Marriot Hotels for affordable stays. The Bowling Green Kentucky is a very well-run property. The staff are great, the hotel is clean and and has many modern hotel amenities. The rooms are bigger than a Fairfield Inn or Courtyards and can be used for single-night or longer-term stays. My room was big, bright and clean and had many amenities like a kitchenette and lots of room.
The grounds have a pool and fitness center which I used. You can get a good workout in the fitness centre as it has free weights, cardio machines and other exercise equipment, The wipes and the water cooler were maintained. The breakfast had many hot and cold options as well. Overall I had a great stay for a last-minute booking. The Townplace Brand is consistent with its modern facilities and it's guest amenities.
- Matthew (8/5): Relaxing and quiet place to stay. - Breakfast was good. Everything was freshly made and there was a good selection of items. Room appeared worn and in need of updating. Doors swung back and forth without being touched, toilet leaked, TV in one room did not work.
- Shirley (10/5): Clean, comfy, friendly. - Was nice hotel. Easy access. It was clean. Beds comfy.
- Linda (9/5): Superb - Very clean. Nice staff
- Timothy (8/5): Vacation - Was very nice kids enjoyed the pool
- Linda (9/5): Superb - Very clean It was great
- Laura (10/5): Will come again! - Above average breakfast for like hotels, staff was friendly and attentive, rooms were clean, pool not too chlorinated, and well lit easy to navigate location.
Will always book here first when visiting BG!
- Julie (10/5): - Check in was easy, Reagan was super nice and gave us the scoop and the area and the best things to do there. Breakfast was good, had a good selection. We enjoyed our stay.
- Kelly (10/5): - Loved how much space we had in our suite. I do wish that one of the rooms had a king size bed.
- Aubrey (8/5): - The stay was mostly good. My only complaint is that the hallways were extremely hot, felt like 85 degrees plus with the heat blowing in summer. This made it more difficult to cool oir room down. AC was off in our room when we areived so it was nearly 80 degrees in our room and it was difficilt to cool off the seperate living area. It was 96 outside that day, so leaving the AC on would be helpful. The shower also had an issue with temperature regulation and wpuld be very cold or burning hot. Otherwise, the room was pretty nice. The pool was nice and breakfast as well.
- Eric (10/5): Definitely coming back for a longer stay - Literally everything That me and my fiance didn't get to actually enjoy ourselves due to a family emergency
- Alexandra (8/5): Very good -
- Meb216 (9/5): Superb -
- Linlee (10/5): - Staff was very courteous and helpful.
- Chandra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lynne (8/5): Good location and clean. - Great location Waited more than 20 minutes to check in. No staff anywhere to be found.
- Penny (7/5): Fair price, fair stay. - The bed was comfortable, and the location was near lots of places to eat and shop. Outside noises, loud, core, racing, and lack of electrical outlets in the room or things I did not care for.
- Bettina (9/5): Clean and Comfortable - Very clean, and beds were comfortable..staff gave us extra blankets for pull out sofa bed, breakfast was good and there was a good selection...close to restaurants and shopping. A little noisy with apartments that are located right behind hotel.
- Brock (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (10/5): Highly recommend for my fellow hotel snobs! - Turned out to be the best "Plan B" ever! Two air conditioning units in the 1 bedroom suite is GENIUS, the entire facility was well-maintained, clean, and comfortable and the staff is very friendly. The breakfast has several hot/cold options, along with fresh fruit and multiple beverage selections. The breakfast hours were also accommodating for those who like to sleep in a little on Sunday morning. Water in the shower was hot, the way I like it and water pressure was perfect. Spacious rooms. Linens and pillows were great. Pull out sofa was good size for my college student. Easy check in/out. Did I mention how clean the place is? If I have one suggestion, it would be to have a bar of soap available in the bathroom to wash our hands. No one in my party used the amenities, so I can't comment on those. On the way out, I heard a dog barking loudly on the first floor, but since I didn't hear it during my stay, it didn't bother me. Will definitely put this in my "Plan A" rotation from now on.
- David (8/5): - Breakfast was very good
- Ryan_Frisby (10/5): A Fantastic Hotel - This hotel was a very nice surprise and served perfectly as a place to spend the night before attending an event at WKU the next morning. The entire property had recently been renovated, smelled nice, had a nice amount of amenities, a solid free breakfast, and friendly staff. Parking and location were also excellent.
The Room Itself:
I had room 409, a one king studio sweet, which had minimal cosmetic issues and no major cleanliness issues. Upon entering, there was a hallway doubling as a kitchen, with a spacious closet, functional door locks, and a well stocked and well lit kitchen. My only complaint here was the large calcium deposit on the coffee maker. The main room features a comfy couch/sofa bed, a nice king bed, a desk, and plenty of outlets/storage. The bed was very comfy and there were zero cleanliness issues, with my only complaint being the desk light not working. The HVAC and few were fine by the way. The restroom was spacious and featured a functional sink and toilet, a tub/shower combo, and weirdly, closet access to the same closet discussed earlier. It also featured pump product, with my only complaints being a lack of lotion and some most interesting caulk around the tub.
With that being said, this is an excellent hotel I could recommend to anyone.
- chandelle0 (10/5): I love this hotel - We booked a 2 bedroom suite on the way to and from a family trip up north. This is one of the few hotels where I never worry about cleanliness, noise, or space. Front desk personnel have always been friendly, and the breakfast is on the good side of the fair.
- Larry (10/5): - We were greeted warmly by the desk clerk. The room was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good.
- Vicky (1/5): Bad - The 2 in our party that ate the quiche got food poisoning!!!
- Rudindo (10/5): - The staff need more training in check but his nice and the concierge person fix the problem the following day.no plates for breakfast they apologize which is good enough.we come back and will refer the place.clean and kids friendly
- Curtis (10/5): Exceptional - Breakfast was great and I enjoyed my stay and everyone was nice
- Raehyun (8/5): - It was great based on the price.
- Robert (8/5): Very good - Excellent service and stay!
- Camda (8/5): Good hotel, nice pool - Feels quite a new hotel, near all amenities and easy parking. Quiet location. Friendly staff though was given a room on first floor despite my Gold profile always stating higher floor but just one night. First floor always noisier and it was. Pool was larger than most Towneplace pools and warm so that was a bonus. Breakfast good and plenty of choice. Don’t particularly like the linoleum floors in the rooms but seen this at a few properties now. I understand it’s probably cheaper and less maintenance but feels cold and hospital like.
Complaints were, on entering the shower I found a used soap bar from previous guest on the shelf - gross, and the conditioner bottle was missing from the wall. Both things could easily have been rectified by housekeeping.
- Charlie (9/5): Superb - Clean,convenient
- Valerie (7/5): It was a good property for a few days, but more than that, and I would have needed more space. - The kitchenette was great, but it wasn't well stocked with supplies needed, like serving utensils. I needed more paper towels, but I brought a roll with me, so it was fine. The room itself was kind of small for two people traveling with luggage.
- Andres (8/5): Very good - There was a couple of lights that didn't work. One lamp by the bed and one at the desk
- Kirsten (10/5): - We were a party of 3 adults so we got the two room suite. It fit our needs very well and had a small kitchen to keep our travel food cold. We found the rooms to be very comfortable and really liked the small sugar waffles offered for breakfast.
- Tammy (6/5): Pleasant - Bed was comfortable. Hotel was near interstate and many restaurants. Felt safe in the area. Kitchenette was well stocked. Good breakfast, wide variety. The air conditioner was broken in the common areas of the hotel and staff said it had been out for 3 weeks. Window leaked so badly during a thunderstorm that it soaked everything near the window. Staff gave us towels to put in the windowsill.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hilary (8/5): - We needed a room to sleep 6 for a few nights and were pleasantly surprised by our room and stay, especially for the price. The AC in the building wasn't working when we arrived but thankfully the AC in our room was able to keep the room temp tolerable. The breaksfast was wonderful compared to other hotel breakfasts. The attendant was very attentive and the area was kept very clean. (There were many expired milks in the fridge but that was fixed quickly.) The pool area served our kids well and was clean. Hotel towel quality always leaves something to be desired, no different here. There were a few stains on the carpet in our room and the mattress on the fold out couch is in desperate replacing but was fine for our small kids. Our plans changed and we needed to check out a day early and the hotel was accommodating without any hassle.
- Shawanda (10/5): The stay was phenomenal and the front desk worker was friendly and welcoming. - Clean building and welcoming staff. N/A
- Suzanne (9/5): Superb -
- Teresa (10/5): - Clean and comfy! Great stay!
- travelmomof5 (10/5): Two bedroom suite is fantastic! - Great hotel stay here. Good rate and got an upgrade to the two bedroom suite which was fantastic! Bright white walls, and lots of large windows made the room feel large and clean. Each bedroom had a separate control for temperature control which was nice. The common area had a separate control too. I loved the fact they had lots of overhead lighting which some hotels skimp on. When in Bowling Green we will definitely stay here again.
- Jill (10/5): great value - accessible aircon either on or off
- Carolyn (9/5): Enjoyed our stay and will definitely go back when we’re in the area! - From the moment I walked through the doors for checking in, there was exceptional service. I was greeted instantly and the service continued throughout the stay. The room met my expectations and was clean. The breakfast was great! My husband also enjoyed it as well! My daughter and I went to the pool. It was a nice size and I like that the towels were right by the door. The water was too cold for me but my daughter still enjoyed it.
- Jim (1/5): Worst customer service - Had a confirmation number but still couldn’t get a room. It was almost 1 am and manager could not find reservation despite a confirmation number and pin. Then said she had two other rooms; only to start e teeing info on keyboard and then say no rooms are available. Didn’t stop hotel from charging me even though I never stayed there. And now I wait for 30 days to get a credit of $220 on my credit card. Terrible customer service all the way through.
- N3498MEmattg (10/5): Excellent stay- highly recommended! - This hotel to me is the epitome of a great "road trip" hotel. It's also a great place to stay if you're in Bowling Green for any reason, but for us it's always a pleasant place to stay during our trips to and from Florida.
This is an extremely well-managed property. The front desk staff were just nice as can be while still maintaining an aire of professionalism. The rooms are great. The common areas are clean and visually appealing... I don't know why I noticed that, but the hallways had this aura that made it look like an upscale hotel.
Location is fantastic, not far from I-65 and lots of dining options. Free breakfast was really nice. My daughter and her friend (who are 15) said it's "the best hotel they have ever stayed in" (and made me put that in this review).
Overall just a great property. We'll be staying here again in the future.
- Brooke (8/5): Nice - The pool area was a nice size and water was warm. The breakfast area and lobby were large and didn't feel crowded. Very nice The whole place was in need of a deep clean. There were dirty fingerprints and smudges all over the white doors and walls. The drawers were not clean inside and one of them had a prior guest's clothing in them... gross. There was also someone smoking in their room on our floor and the hallway smelled awful.
The biggest issue was that the windows opened, but the lock on ours was broken and we were traveling with our 3 year old! Very dangerous!
- Sarag (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - clean nice staff indoor pool clean
- chandelle0 (10/5): Great hotel - A newer hotel with updated furnishings. Very clean. TownePlace Suites breakfasts have gotten pretty good in recent years, and we enjoyed the indoor pool a lot. The carpet is thin so the people upstairs can be a bit loud, but still a great place to stop on a road trip.
- Heather (10/5): - Plenty of room for my large family!
- Lori (8/5): - Overall good experience.
- Erika (9/5): overall the accommodation was quite nice - The room was nice and clean and comfortable. The staff was accommodating. The breakfast was good. The kitchenette was not sufficiently stocked. We only had 3 forks and spoons and there were 5 of us in our group. We wanted to heat up leftovers in the oven but no baking dish or cookie sheet.
- Ashley (7/5): The good definitely outweighed the couple minor bads, we will definitely be back. - The staff was very friendly, breakfast was one of the best we’ve had at any hotel stay, the beds were very comfortable. The pool (we personally feel) had way too many chemicals in it and the room could have been cleaned a little better.
- Kathryn (2/5): - Room had left over garbage in it. I am supposed to receive a refund for the room but I haven’t been comped for it yet.
- Michelle (6/5): - The pool and breakfast were nice
- Donna (10/5): Recommend highly to everyone! - Friendly accommodating staff; room exceeded our every need; close to many restaurants and mall Nothing—everything was perfect.
- Ed (9/5): Superb - The breakfast was the best continental that I can recall.
Everyone was very friendly. Would stay here again. A minor housekeeping issue that really didn't affect our stay
- Amanda (2/5): 2 hour wait only to not have a room - I booked through hotels.com, then arrived at hotel to find that my reservation wasn't there. Apparently, hotels.com doesn't send their reservations with much speed. By the time the front desk found our reservation, all rooms were taken. The front desk went above and beyond trying to help us.
- Marley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Candyce (10/5): Very nice place to stay - Very nice hotel. Clean comfortable room with a well stocked kitchen. Good breakfast selections. Reserved same hotel chain in a different city for next night.
- Osaro (10/5): - Serene environment
- Naseef (1/5): Bad - nothing is all really bad experiences all and everyone was so not professional
- Jayne (8/5): Very good - Comfort! Room had hairs and candy that wasn't cleaned out of chairs at the table.
- carl (10/5): - AWESOME! Got this as my go to spot when I travel
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional -
