• Roy (8/5): Basic but comfortable enough - Greeted by Manageress, granted requested balcony room. English a bit lacking but certainly better than my Spanish. Room a tad basic but comfortable beds, good size balcony with table and chairs. Plentiful hot water for bathing or shower, decor somewhat dated as was furnishings, a fresh lick of paint wouldn't go amiss. Mask's to be worn in hotel common area's * a good thing! Staff pleasant enough, maid, Mirta, very helpful for train and bus travel advice. Regular fresh towels. At the price certainly wouldn't complain, was good enough for the 6 day break.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Gestörte Nachtruhe - Gut gesagt: so lala. Nette Vermieter - aber leider laut. Nachts kommt das Licht durch das Oberlicht der Tür, weil Bewegungsmelder ständig angehen durch regen Verkehr der Katzen im Flur. Aber einen Haken muß es bei dem Preis ja geben.

• Verified traveler (4/5): - Schattige. ouderwetse accomodatie, echter totaal verouderd en aan een grondige renovatie toe : oud meubilair, versleten beddengoed, slecht sanitair, van de 5 lichtpunten werkten er maar 2, bidet defect, zeer matige schoonmaak. Eigenaren bijzonder vriendelijk, veel neergelegd leesvoer, gunstige ligging t.o.v. het centrum, maar wel pal aan de drukke N-348.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Great little hotel - Lovely traditional hotel. Basic but very clean with lovely staff. Great price for room only. This is our 5th time visiting this hotel.
• Randi (10/5): Anbefales for den som ikke forlanger luksus. - Dette er et helt okei overnattingssted. Det er ikke et luksushotell, men hvis en ikke forlanger annet enn seng, dusj og frokost på ett og samme sted, kan jeg anbefale dette hostellet. Ligger veldig sentralt til buss, tog, flyplass, kafeer, resteuranter, sentrum, strand og alle andre fasiliteter. Rengjøring og rydding på rommet hver dag, og veldig hyggelig betjening. Tommel opp👍
• Verified traveler (4/5): In need of renovation - The place is very much in need of renovation. That is why the price is low. Very polite owners though. But also annoying that they have to manually let you out of and into the building (because it is always locked with a key).

• Kim (6/5): Enkelt, snabbt, nära - Det var helt ok! Stannade i 12 nätter och hade sina bra o dåliga sidor Bra sidor: stor garderob, bekväm säng, stort badrum med badkar, gratis wi-fi och en bra luftkonditionering. Dåligt: långsam wi-fi, inget kylskåp och det kom lätt in myror i rummet, tv:n var något seg den också. Fanns en otrevlig personal men resten var trevliga. Min pojkvän i Spanien skulle på besök och de hade mage att lägga näsan i blöt och säga: du får inte ha gäster i rummet förutom din mamma( han skulle inte sova där). Slutsats: detta är ett bra ställe om du behöver något billigt och snabbt och ska stanna i ca 2 nätter, men inte 12.

• Lee (8/5): Cheap and Cheerful - The hotel is very basic and in urgent need of redecoration. That said, the owners were lovely, it was cleaned every day and is in a good location for the nightlife. Ideal for those wanting a cheap bed to sleep in but not for those who expect a little luxury when going away.

• Verified traveler (4/5): Faulty Towers!! - Rooms very basic. No where to hang shoer head. No plugs on basin or bidet. Beds hard and cold. Tv minute. Rooms run down and dirty. Very old place with a lot of work to be done. Owners elderly and tired. Lots of clutter and very smelly cats. Noisy area. Lots traffic. Doors locked at all times awkward when you go out, have to ring bell to get in at all times.fire hazard. No tea making facilities. Only good thing was near to centre of town.

• Janet (6/5): Cheap hotel - A cheap hotel with very dated accommodation in need of complete refurbishment entrance area and gardens need a clean up.Rooms are noisy at night due to close proximity of bars and road traffic.A bar attached opens early for breakfast and drinks staff friendly and helpful.Rooms are tidied and fresh towels everyday .Small TV Spanish channels only air conditioning and free wi Fi in rooms.All staff welcoming and friendly .Overall ok if you are on a budget and don't want 5star accommodation.

• Christian (10/5): Un beau séjour à l'Hostal Escandinavia! - Si vous avez vraiment le désir de connaître l'Espagne sous son jour le plus authentique, alors je ne saurais mieux vous recommander que l'Hostal Escandinavia. Bien situé, au centre de Torremolinos, à 3 minutes du train côtier, des boutiques, de la plage et vie nocturne. Ne cherchez pas l'hôtel grand luxe tout confort, ce n'est pas l'esprit de ce charmant établissement, il pourrait sembler vieillot mais il est "vrai" et les propriétaires sont toujours disponibles quelle que soit l'heure! Je me suis senti comme à la maison. Merci aussi pour le prix véritablement imbattable!

• Verified traveler (6/5): Grei plass hvis en ikke har for store krav. - Beliggenheten var veldig bra, kort veg til toget i Torremolinos som går til Malaga hvor en videre kan ta tog til mange andre byer og steder for dagsturer. Rommet hadde grei størrelse men all innredning var gammel og oppussingen var veldig slitt. Det var rydding av rom hver dag og hele tiden rene nye håndkler. Jeg lå på et anneks utenfor inngangen til hotellet så vet ikke om rommene inne på selve hotellet var like slitt i maling og møblemang.

• Verified traveler (2/5): cheap but not worth it - I could not sleep at all even after a long travel & not sleeping 2 days before , lot of traffic noise , uncomftable bedding , never go back there again.
• Dave (8/5): A strange hostel but a good stay - The hostel has a selection of decent sized rooms which are large and clean but furniture is dated-having said that there were loads of hanging space and draws for storage, the bathroom was clean and huge with a piping hot shower over a bath. There was a large balcony which was sunny all day but looked out onto quite a busy road junction, although you can see the sea in the distance! The locking the customers in and out in the evening was a bit weird but kind of worked and even though I came in very late at night the hostess was always there to let me in with a ring of the doorbell, and her cats are adorable! The public areas are clean and functional but a bit haphazard! A glimpse into private quarters and these are untidy and appear chaotic but there was a certain charm to this little hostel - yes I could hear the noise of the road outside and more so the noisey Brits staying in the next door room but I did sleep reasonably well on a comfortable bed and would stay again.

• Don and Kozeta (6/5): Small friendly hostal and very central - The hostal was just what we wanted for a 3 night weekend break. We arrived very late (gone midnight) but had phoned ahead and informed the owner, Pepita that we would be late and she answered the door as soon as we rang. She showed us to our room and pointed out how clean it was! However, it was clean so no problem. We had Room 7 which had a balcony overlooking a small garden and the main road Avenida Palma de Mallorca. We enjoyed a beer we had bought at a supermarket across the road and inhaled the scent of a beautiful jasmine bush which floated up from the garden. We did not find the place too noisy considering it's proximity to a main road.

(6/5): ok for the price - I picked it after having read all of the other reviews on here, thinking that considering the price and how short my stay was going to be, I wouldn't mind any of the downsides during my one night stay. The location is quite close to the beach and not far from the city centre. The particular smell mentioned by others was only noticeable by the entrance, definitely not in the room, which was quite nice and had a small balcony with a view of the garden. One thing I'm not too sure about are the locks on the doors - even when I had locked the door from the inside and didn't remove the key from the lock, the cleaning lady still managed to open the door (with a key of course) from the outside! Made for a rather awkward situation.

• Kevin (6/5): Cheap , quirky and good value. - First of all , after reading some of the other reviews , I was expecting a smelly cat ridden place .In fact I didn't see one cat and although I did get a waft of cats pee in the reception ,really the hotel is kept very clean and is really does not seem to be as big a problem as people make out. Yes the hotel is VERY dated - the decor and furnishings seem to be from the 50's and 60's but they keep the place clean and staff do their best to make you comfortable. All in all I thought the hotel was pretty good value . Where else can you get a room with private bathroom/TV/Air con/heating and balcony for 20Euros? It has a certain charm and the hotel has a decent bar/cafe attached where you can get drinks and snacks. The location is also good , being a very short walk from the train station and town centre.
