În zona din împrejurimi se găsesc restaurante, cafenele, supermarket, stații de autobuz la 2 minute de mers pe jos, stații de metrou la 8 minute de mers pe jos. Camera mea a fost una dotată cu absolut tot ce este nevoie, priveliște minunată din cameră stând în pat. Personalul de la recepție deosebit de amabil și săritor să ajute și să îndrume. Curățenie impecabilă făcută zilnic. Wi-fi foarte bun și stabil. Cafea și apă gratuit la discreție. Nu există.

There are a lot of shops, coffee shops, and restaurants nearby, and it’s an easy walk to public transport. The receptionist was very lovely and friendly. The man helped me whenever I needed assistance. The room was okay, but not spacious enough for two people, and there wasn’t enough space to put items. I did sleep well, though the bed was just okay. Overall, everything was good. I would love to travel to Seoul again. Some areas need refurbishment and room improvements, such as painting or fixing certain things.

Er is wel airco, maar deze blaast op de bedden beneden. Verder wel een schone kamer en goed te doen met 5 personen. En gratis flessen water verkrijgbaar. Geen toilettafel.

- Drinmarl (10/5): Amazing experience, the staff are so kind - It is close to myeongdong and other tourist location, near to a subway station too and bus stops I know that Korea don’t use bidet on their bathroom. Maybe that’s the only thing I didn’t like.

- Moeka (6/5): - ペットボトルの水を無料で提供している。朝はコーヒーやお茶などがセルフサービスで1階にて飲める。 アメニティとして変換器の貸し出しがあった。他にはボディタオル・歯ブラシ・石鹸・綿棒がある。 部屋にはシャンプー・ボディソープ・ドライヤー・ケトルと紙コップが備え付けであった。 窓から近くの景色が見渡せて、日の出を見る事ができた。 トイレは紙が流せる。 シャワーとトイレが近く（ユニットバス？）、シャワーカーテンなどがないので、どう頑張っても少し便器が濡れてしまうが、タオルがたくさんあるのと、意外と水はけは良く、スタッフもきれいに清掃してくださるので、気になるのは入浴直後くらい。

- Jason (7/5): It’s a bit ramshackle, almost feeling like a hostel for adults, but offers a good location & a spacious room at a go - Good location near Chungmuro station (which is only a few stops from Seoul Station) and a short walk to Namsangol Hanok Village. Our room (with 4 beds and a loft) was spacious with huge windows and a high ceiling. Free water, snacks, coffee, tea, and electric conversion plugs in the lobby. The place could definitely use some renovations and the bathroom wasn’t sparkling clean.

The staff were friendly but there were zero frills apart from free water, hot drinks and snacks. The beds and pillows were not comfortable and there was very little space for two adults and two kids (we had a family suite that sleeps 5).

- Hitomi (7/5): - 明洞も東大門方面も徒歩で行ける距離で立地が最高です。すぐ横にはコンビニがあります。ペットボトルの水が何本でも無料、コーヒーお茶のサービスもあり大変助かりました。他のアメニティとしては、冷蔵庫、ドライヤー、タオルは部屋に置いてあります。メゾネットタイプの部屋だったので天井が高く、窓も開けられるので快適に過ごせました。 カードキーの反応が少し悪く慣れるまでコツが必要です。ロフトの掛け布団カバーのみ交換していない様な使用感のあるヨレヨレしたものでした。他のベッドはパリッとしたリネンでした。深夜でも正面入口が開けっ放しでスタッフの方も見当たらず、大きい通り沿いではありますがややセキュリティ面が心配でした。

- TAKUYA (10/5): 日本人が安心して泊まれるホテル！ - 日本語で「おかえりなさい」の安心感。 対応がとても丁寧で、ベッドシーツも新品のように綺麗だった。マダニチェックOK！ お水が何本でも無料で持ち帰りOKで、変換プラグの貸出あり、タオル、シャンプー、ボディーソープが備え付けなのは も有難かった。 目の前にあるバス停から明洞市街地まで3駅、ソウル駅まで5駅でアクセス良好！ お土産を両手に抱えて帰ってもあまり苦になりませんでした。 ない。強いて言うなら、ユニットバスとお部屋の間のガラス戸の下が少し空いていて、バスマットがびちょびちょになってしまった。 海外は連泊だとベッドメイクに入らないと聞いていたので、部屋で乾かして置いたら掃除してくれたようで、バスタオルと一緒に持って行ってくれていた。 でも、替えのバスマットは置いてくれてなかった…。 バスタオルとボディタオルを置いてくれてたので、それで代用した。

- TOMOTAKE (10/5): - 韓国ソウル旅行のベースとしてエクスペディアで予約しました。 エクスペディアからは明確な予約確定通知が来なかったので直電で予約確認をした上で訪れました。 ロケーションは最寄りの駅が「忠武路」で明洞からは一駅、ソウルからも三駅の好立地でした。 バス停もすぐ近くにあり大変便利でした。 ご人家族なのでどんな部屋かと心配していましたが、いざチェックインしてみると最上階のロフト付きの部屋で、下層にはシングルベッドが3つ、ロフトにマットの寝床が2つと言う設定でした。 アメニティーは歯ブラシと髭剃り以外は揃っていたかと思います。 何よりフロントのオバサマとオジサマがとても愛想が良く親切で、その上ロビーには無料のミネラルウォーターと朝はコーヒーとバナナケーキが振る舞われとても助かりました。 ベッドは硬めですが総評価としてはかなり好印象でした、お勧めです。

- Peter Ryan (10/5): - Staff were exceptional and very friendly and helpful. Great location only one station and walking distance to Myeong-dong market. The hotel is located close to several train lines which helped sightseeing in Soeul which we found very safe as foreigners – download Naver app as more accurate than Google maps. Like all hotels we encounted in Soeul the hotel rooms are cramped compared to our expectations in Australia, however we enjoyed the experience. The matteresses were different and harder than we expected however we were so exhausted as tourists and surprisingly more comfortable than initially expected.
- Mengjung (6/5): - 8-10 mins walk from stations (there are actually 2 stations around the property, which makes it a convenient spot to stay); the lady and the gentleman at the reception were friendly (the lady can speak in English btw); luggage drop is possible before check-in; a convenient store is nearby, no worries if you want some snacks at night. The equipments in the room are a bit outdated; air-conditioning worked, but for some reasons, it did not cool down the room continuously; no slippers in the room though the item is listed; cleanliness needs to be improved as it does not meet the hotel standard.
- Annie (1/5): Location is somewhat good. - The property is not that grand, just average. They first gave us a room where ac was not working, it was so hot, suffocating almost. It took about one hour to try and fix it but they eventually moved us to a new room The owner guy was so rude! To us and to his staff. We didn’t like his attitude!!
- Buuvei (6/5): A comfortable stay overall, but a few improvements are needed. - I really liked the location—very convenient and easy to get around. The room’s air conditioning didn’t work well, and it was too hot to sleep comfortably. The bed was also uncomfortable and could be improved.
- y (4/5): - 少しカタコトだけど日本語対応してくれる男性の方と普通に流暢にお話できる女性の方がいました。 でも、常にフロントに常駐しているわけではなく、呼び出しボタンもないので、何かあった時はすぐ呼べないかもしれません。 外出する際は、常にカードキーを持参し、帰るときにフロントに置いてある返却皿に戻しました。 今回、泊まったシャワー管理はシャンプー、ボディーソープが全く補充されてなかったので、持参必須した方がいいです。

- Rachel (8/5): Great location - The hotel is in a great location, 5 minute walk from the airport bus and nearest metro, and a few seconds to the bus stop that will take you into Myeongdong or Dongdaemun. The view from my room on the 9th floor was beautiful and one of the best things about my stay. The room itself is not the prettiest or most welcoming-looking, and the bed was very hard compared to what I'm used to, but I got used to it quickly and I had a really nice time there. The staff are also super friendly, and I was even allowed to check in 2 hours before the official time as my room was already ready. This was great after having travelled for 17 hours and not something I've experienced at any other hotel I've stayed at in Korea.

- 448johnpaulm (2/5): Don’t stay here. Save yourself the stress - Don’t stay at Merlin Hotel in Myeongdong. It is Very bad. There a much better locations in myeongdong like skypark. The staff here don’t even speak English. The facilities are small, and the staff is not helpful at all and are very rude. Not a hospitable place. AVOID!!!

The hotel also has a scale to weigh our luggage. This helped us sort through things before we took the nearby airport bus.

- yukie (6/5): - シャワーとトイレが一緒で床が濡れます。 ちょっとカビ臭い感じがするのと エアコンが直当たりするので寒いです。 夜行便利用の際の、数時間寝るだけだったので利用しました。 店員さんは優しく水は飲み放題、レンジも使っていいので、めっちゃ安かったし金額的にはよかったかなと思います。
- Rose (10/5): Merlin has magic in its staff - While the Merlin is not 5 star, the service is awesome, it’s an older building but what it lacks in appearance is more than compensated by the helpfulness of the manager and other staff. People who complain that it’s old should spend more of their money and go to some fancy hotel where the service can be very impersonal. The Merlin is small but the personnel have big hearts. I definitely would check in here should I visit again.
- GERVACIO (8/5): - 1st time in Seoul for our group. The photos on the website were not what we expected. Room was rather small and could have used some refurbishment. There was a loft, but you could not stand there… I had to crawl from the ladder to my bed. What made up for the room was the staff. Very helpful! They provided free bottled water and had a laundry service across the street for us. The hotel was close to one of the subway stations and rather convenient. Would we stay there again?…. Probably not as it was too small for us. What made it okay was the staff’s friendliness and we were only there to shower/sleep since we were out the whole 7 days we stayed there. Also, get a room on the opposite side of the street as the sun makes the room very warm (even with the A/C) on.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Good value of money - 酒店距離忠武路大約十分鐘，附近地鐵站出口無有電梯，拉着行李的建議使用對面的出口，有扶手電梯。 酒店比較舊，廁所浴室沒有乾濕分離。房間設有閣樓，即使不使用閣樓，空間亦夠大，方便收拾行李。lobby有樽裝水免費供應，很貼心，房間看到N tower.

- Mai (6/5): - 安い割には普通にいいホテル。ゲストハウスではない。ドライヤーもアメニティもあったのでよかった。受付のおばさまが凄く親切。気温が−6度の日があり、部屋が少し寒かったが、暖房は入らなかった。暖かい格好で眠れば12月は問題ない。ダブルベットに、ロフトもありベットもあったのでゆったりしていていい。流行っているトコジラミの検査も済みのホテルなので安心して泊まれた。

- John (4/5): - The sink and washer were both broken they were way to relaxed about security. The code to my room, and many rooms was 1234. When I asked for a new key I didn’t show ID. Just gave them my room number and they printed one out. The worst part was that the pillows and mattress were incredibly uncomfortable. Can’t get past that.
