• Philip (10/5): Stayed there before and will stay there again. - Breakfast excellent as always. The rooms, though on the cosy side, were very comfortable. There was milk and water to make tea. Bathroom, though small, had everything one would need, including many things people forget to pack, such as cottonbuds. To park in front of Arran Lodge, you do have to drive into and out of a drive on a road that could be busy at times. My only niggle.

• Matt (10/5): Wonderful stay in a class guesthouse, where nothing is too much trouble - My son and I stayed at Arran Lodge whilst visiting for a football game recently. Helga and Deneys were super friendly, and made sure we were looked after. Probably the first place I've ever stayed in where they knew our names, which is a nice touch, and they clearly have a passion for providing great service and accommodation, so would heartily recommend. Breakfast was mega and nothing too much trouble. My son said he had the best time ever. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and hopefully we'll be back sometime! I cannot actually think of anything we didn't like. Too many cushions on the bed, and that's being super nitpicky!
• Emily (10/5): A gem of find, will certainly use again if down in Torquay in the future. - Everything had been thought of, and the hot water bottle was just the best touch :) Sometimes trying to decide on what you want for breakfast the evening before can be tricky, but can totally understand why they do it. And sure if we had wanted to tweek anything (within reason) it wouldn't have been a problem.
• Sal and Ash (10/5): Great place to stay - Good place to stay, convenient for train or bus travel as well as some car parking spaces. Clean, tidy, excellent breakfasts and hosts that seemed keen to ensure that you have a good stay with them. I would stay here again anytime. Limited vision when exiting the car park.

TV with dvds to watch. Plenty of lights in the bedroom. And a ceiling fan. Breakfast was excellent, with the owners, whose names I forget as I write, coming to quickly clear items away. Had a lovely fruit salad for breakfast and the cheese, mushroom, tomato, and onion omelette I had was excellent. Plan to book again when I am in the area next year. My only gripe was that the room was a little small. Other than that, excellent!

Helga and Deneys' love for what they do shows in every little detail: the complimentary snacks and toiletries, which are plentiful, the spotless linen and towels, and of course the fabulous breakfast! Helga and Deneys are wonderful hosts. They're incredibly friendly and easy to chat to, and will give you fantastic recommendations if you ask. I could not recommend this place more! The only slight downside was the sound of traffic, but it was very much compensated by how wonderful everything else was!

• David (10/5): Best in Torquay - Wonderful little place, from the moment we arrived Helga and Denys were so welcoming. Room was spotless and well appointed, water in fridge each day was a lovely touch. Breakfast, as many have said, was on a par with a 5* hotel. By far the best place we’ve stayed in Torquay. It’s a little way back, but #12 bus round corner and Torre station is a 2 minute walk, also one of the quietest places you’ll find. Would definitely return and recommend for anyone visiting Torquay 👍

• Errol (10/5): Lovely place with lovely people to take care of you! - Deneys & Helga are wonderful hosts, a great welcome when you arrive! Got an upgrade, which is always a plus & on such a beautiful day when I arrived. I arrived by mainline rail & arrived at Torquay station, there is Torre station which is nearer, (100 meters) so you might have to arrange accordingly, or get a taxi. Not much parking I'm afraid, I could only see room for two vehicles but not sure if there was parking at the rear of the property. There is a local bus service to Torquay that stops nearby & passes Torquay station eventually. (Service 12) The room that I had included a private balcony that's shaded with a fridge with bottled water & fresh milk for your tea & coffee. The bed, although being quite firm ended up being very comfy indeed with the choice of a soft or medium/firm pillow. The shower en suite is the perfect size. If you've forgotten to pack your personal stuff, they have that there for you, along with slippers & a bath robe, they thought of everything! The free WiFi was easy to get into with no lagging problems. P.S. they give you a welcoming cup cake! Breakfast was lovely with a bit of music in the background, fresh orange juice & a cafetiere of coffee. You order your breakfast from the list & alter or keep the same. Overall, a very nice stay on the tail end of some glorious weather & with the English Riviera on your doorstep, about a mile away & the ideal location with the most charming couple at the helm of Arran Lodge. I'd definitely come again for a good stay! 😉🤗⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not much to dislike, other than there's no lift, but the building wasn't meant to have one.

Deneys and Helga were amazing and upgraded my room for me... Room 6 with its own little private patio I couldn't have asked for more. The room was quiet to have a relaxing sleep after traveling for 6 hours. The extra touches were a blessing. I was too tired for breakfast but I hear it's very good. The decor is very my style. You wouldn't expect it until you walk through the door. Very clean and comfortable. If I could give 11 out of 10 rating, I would. Absolutely recommend Arran Lodge. I'll be back soon! Nothing at all. • Phil (10/5): - Wonderful room, very nicely decorated with nice features like downlights in 3 different areas & a nice ceiling fan/light. Breakfast was amazing, I cannot fault my stay. The hosts were great, I will definitely return when I am next in the area.

• Alison (10/5): A very relaxing break, made possible by our host’s. - Our host’s were so welcoming, nothing was too much bother for both of them. The breakfast was above and beyond set us up for the day, they had thought of everything you would need for a stress free break will definitely book again. Nothing to think of, everything was thought of to make an excellent break.
• Daphne (10/5): Excellent ❤️ - A wonderful lovely place. I felt comfortable staying for the night. And i love the decorations - we liked the hippos most ☺️ The couple that owns the place are so accommodating and friendly ❤️❤️highly recommended None

• Philip (10/5): Excellent B and B - Very welcoming arrival. Place was lovely and our room was prefect with everything you might need. Breakfast was excellent. Perfect for our needs and will book again when we next visit Torquay. They really have done a lovely job in making this a great B and B. Nothing to report.

• Sue (10/5): A friends get away - 3 of us stayed at Arran Lodge for three nights. We were welcomed by name and the hosts were so friendly. Room was lovely and hot water bottles put into our beds early evening, a lush touch. Breakfasts were exceptional and well presented. We will definately be back. Thankyou xx
• Michael (10/5): Would highly recommend this B&B - Spotlessly clean. Nice attention to detail. With fresh milk and a selection of waters in the fridge. A good selection of toiletries in the en-suite. Very friendly hosts. It was a nice touch to find a hot water bottle in the bed. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Thank you. Nothing

• Verified traveler (10/5): Fantastic - A family run B&B for anyone lokking for cosy, confortable and classy stay with a personal touch. There are three parking space in front of the guesthouse. The breakfast is coked fresh and is just amazing. Very close to the railway station, and not too far from the Torbay hospital and local amenities.
