- Wendy (10/5): Fantastisch - Geweldige lodge! Schoon, prachtige locatie, heerlijk eten en vriendelijk personeel. Game drives met Ben waren top.
Elke avond legde Jackson een warme kruik in bed. Echt fantastisch verblijf!
- Damla (10/5): Perfect experience - Everything was just perfect! The food was cooked by five different chefs and each dish was amazing.
The lodge has a great location, so the game drives were super enjoyable.
The staff were all so lovely, warm and helpful — we felt really well taken care of.
The rooms were spotless and had everything we could possibly need.
We had such a wonderful time here — thank you for making it so special! The only thing I can say is that we visited in July, and the evenings were actually really cold.
It would be nice to have an electric heater or something similar in the room at night.
- Panagiota (10/5): Exceptional safari experience privileged with private service All animals -
- Massey (10/5): A seven star safari experience. - An amazing exquisite property and we’re highly recommend. The general manager Leakey and his staff were amazing. And high praise for exceptional safaris from guide Danson! Nothing not to like.
- Mohit (9/5): Superb -
- Maria (10/5): The absolute best way to experience the Masai Mara in a fun, luxurious manner! - - Location inside conservatory makes it easy to spot and get close to ALL the animals during game drives - Our driver Erick was the best!
- Incredibly friendly and accommodating team (Caleb, Erick, George, Rotiken!)
- Amazing food for breakfast, lunch and dinner - this really adds to the experience
- Beautiful, luxurious and clean rooms (you can hear the animals at night)
- Incredible massages by Lenet!
- The activities offered (balloon ride, walking safari's, village visit) - The free laundry service wasn't great, some of our items returned to us shrunk
- David (10/5): The most amazing place to stay! Everything was perfect! - Dear Leakey, dear David, dear Eric, dear Alex, dear Moses, dear Samson, dear Reagan, you all have made our honeymoon at the Masai Mara unforgettable. The minute we arrived, we felt at home.It was everything we could have dreamed of. Thank you from the bottom of or hearts. We will surely come back soon !
- Prathima (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kaan (10/5): Exceptional - The game drives were exceptional, with the comfort of the car significantly enhancing the experience. Additionally, the driver exhibited superb knowledge, explaining everything thoroughly.
- Sargoon (10/5): Memorable and welcoming stay - A full fledged 5* experience in the middle of the wilderness (Maara). Dominic and his team were very accommodating to all our needs and also comped us upto a better room and mostly a private safari and dining as we were honeymooning.
Special mention to Moses and David, the restaurant managers and their team including Ben, Reagen, Hezron, Kelvin and all others. My wife is vegetarian and they went out of their way to make sure she was looked after and had plenty of delicious options. Chef David made every meal special and Moses and his team make sure everyone is well fed!
Our safari guide, Danson left no stone unturned to show us all that the Maara had to offer. He was also incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife there, quick facts and ofcourse his driving over the rugged surrounds.
All in all, the experience was very catered to our needs and we could not have asked for a more memorable stay! N/A
- Arnaud (9/5): A unforgettable for 3 days / 2 nights ! - - Kindness of the staff
- The fact that everything is included in the rate (meals, drinks, game drives, airstrip transfers…)
- The space in the room
- The very well organised game drives
- Architecture of common spaces
- Quality of the food - A bit expensive during high season (but probably the price for exclusivity)
- The bathroom should be renovated
- Anurag (10/5): It was awesome , I loved my stay and would suggest my friends and family To come and stay here - Since I am vegetarian , I was served food as per my taste and preference !! N/a
- Yukiyo (9/5): Wonderful - All staff were very kind and very supportive.
Hospitality was so great!!! We need air conditioner (to cooldown)in the day time.
- Richard (9/5): Superb -
- Ivan (10/5): Outstanding, exceptional safari experience, that beats all possible expectations and make you feel privileged with priva - Outstanding, exceptional safari experience, that beats all possible expectations and make you feel privileged with private and tailored service from the first arrival moment till leaving this paradise. Highly welcoming, hospital and professional personnel that made it reality. If any doubts and tons of research you made - don’t waste your time. It is simply worth it, every penny. Highly recommended nothing, everything was super satisfying and unique.
- Kalicharan (10/5): Exceptional - everything! the food was the best. All staffs were friendly. I highly recommend this place. nothing
- Rachit (10/5): - Excellent! 100 percent recommend- full value for money, amazing staff and service, amazing food, excellent room and game drives - have all good things to say about this place. Not a single negative!! Will come back here again!! Really great experience for us.
- Madina (10/5): amazing experience, great hospitality, clean accommodations! - everything! no complaints!
- Hugh (10/5): Ultimate Luxury in the Mara - We loved our suite with its own plunge pool overlooking the River- all 200sqm of it! The staff were excellent, from Kennedy quietly arranging surprise events for us and facilitating every request, through the guides and trackers to the dining and cleaning staff - all professional and well trained. Food exceeded our five star expectation. All facilities were meticulously clean and well maintained. All inclusive meant just that - no surprises like other lodges we have been to. The massages were the best we've had in Kenya. Thank you all so much, we look forward to returning. Justna small observation is that the memorial tree planting spoils the setting. Instead of plaques there could be small numbers and lists of the tree type, donor and message available to those that are interested- to make it more like a park than a cemetery.
- Aurélien (10/5): magnificent stay full of surprise - Beautiful location, very friendly staff and absolute perfect stay! The staff really makes you feel at home and service is perfect it was perfect, I would recommend it to anyone
- Adrian (9/5): Superb - The rooms, communal areas, food and staff were all excellent. Our guide (Eric) was exceptionally knowledgeable. It would have been helpful to have been on check in to have been given a clear idea of the options available. EG we only found out from another couple two days in that it was possible to have a ‘bush breakfast’ rather than eat at the restaurant. This alternative option was very good, not least because it extended the length of the morning safari
- Kelly (10/5): Loved it - We have just returned from a 5 night stay. The room was beautiful and the food was good. The game drives were very special. Because it is a private conservancy the safari guide is able to drive off road to get closer to the animals. In addition, there are very few cars on the reserve so not a mass of people at sightings
- Fraser (10/5): Amazing experience with amazing people - The whole experience was amazing. We had a tent that overlooked a lake area that was full with hippos and wildlife! The tents are very luxurious and Paul was amazing in looking after our tent. Olare is situated in the conservatory so the game drives are very intimate with a much lower amount of vehicle compared to the Mara park, we saw so much! Whilst the location and facilities were amazing the staff made the trip. Dominic and the team were exceptional, catering to our every need, always making sure we had everything we needed and the chef is amazing! The food is great and we had an outside dinner on our final night with no shortage of drinks available! Thanks to everyone that made our trip so special. Asante 🙏🏻
- Devika (10/5): an experience of a lifetime - please go to the mara and stay at the Olare Kenpinski! - everything. The ‘tents’ are fantastic, service is outstanding, location is unbeatable… the overall experience is highly recommendable Nothing
- Jaysheel (10/5): - Greta experience, the best wild anamals and cats in masai Mara around this reserve.
- N.N. (10/5): - My friend and I stayed at the Kempinski for two nights midweek...and it was amazing. We were picked up at the airstrip and given a mini game drive for about an hour until we reached the camp. We were greeted with a traditional Maasai welcome (complete with singing and dancing) and a refreshing tree tomato drink. It was so unique! They also had a hand washing station and a temperature check screening. All staff at Olare Mara wear masks and the dining staff wear gloves too. There is hand sanitizer all over the place...it made us feel safe during our stay.
Our tent was glorious. We were in Tent #9 along the river. The tent was luxe, clean with lots of extra amenities - rainboots, bathrobes, umbrellas, mosquito nets, surgical masks and a clawfoot bathtub.
Meals are usually 3-4 courses and were overseen by the FABULOUS Moses, the restaurant manager. He was DIVINE. He remembered our favorites and anticipated our needs, even making sure we had fresh bread (which they make onsite!) and hot dawa every day. He was extremely attentive and fast. Truly exceptional service. Alcohol was not complimentary but was top shelf. A nice bottle of chardonnay was about $45.
Highly recommend this resort.
- JN (6/5): - I liked the room however we did not have hot water 3 mornings out of the 4 mornings we spent at the hotel. That is unacceptable given how much we paid to stay at this luxury lodge. It was also very cold so taking a cold shower was out of question.
