Issues faced:
· ❌ Location: Highly impractical and isolated from basic services, increasing both cost and time for daily needs.
· ❌ Amenities: No basic amenities provided in the room (no kettle, iron, tea/coffee facilities, or even drinking water).
· ❌ Electrical outlets: The power sockets are very old, and some do not work, making it difficult to use essential devices.
· ❌ Services: The room offers only a place to sleep with no additional comforts.
Verdict:
A poor experience overall. I do not recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for convenience, comfort, or value.

- Christopher (4/5): this hotel is a great value but it is very spartan with with pleasant (if employees - location no security. front desk was often unattended at night with door left wide open. zero amenities. can’t even buy water.
- Jorge (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carlos (6/5): Good stay, wifi quality and bed comfort can be improved. - Nice location. There's a big park around and you can wake up with the sing of the birds. Wifi quality is bad when traveling for work. Fortunately, there's a Starbucks very close. Also, it would have been great if they can offer a jar of water and glasses on the room.
- Luis (7/5): Good -
- Richard (10/5): Excellent - Ideal location, good facilities Breakfast could run a little later
Limpio, tranquilo y bien situado
- Nick (8/5): Very warm and friendly staff - Although the resources of the hotel are somewhat limited, they bend over backwards to accommodate whatever your needs.. My only problem with the facility is a bit of a quandry... There are few English speaking staff members, which is frustrating initially, but forces you to learn some Peruvian Espanol !! Loved it...
- davidcC1074US (6/5): Very quiet Oropendula park. - This is a small hotel on an amazing quiet park in a hugely noisy and congested part of Lima. The circular park is almost unbelievable in how few cars and how little noise occurs, and it is great location. When I checked in they tried to give me a room almost next to the check in desk, with no windows and quite depressing. I refused this room, and then they charged me extra for a real room. Be careful what you choose here as the rooms range from crap to really nice. You want an upstairs room with some space. The hotel staff was fine. The breakfast was not what you'd expect from a nice hotel in Lima. Typically such breakfasts have many choices of juice, and food, but this was very spartan and not interesting at all.
- Rodolfo (8/5): Nice hotel in a good neighborhood in Lima - The hotel is located in San Isidro, which is the financial center in Lima, Close to Miraflores and some malls in the área. It is a nice neighborhood secure at day and night. Perfect to stay if you want to visit the city and get to know the local área.
- Diego (6/5): Simple But nice - Nice experience. The hotel is right and has a Good relationship value for money.
- William (10/5): Quiet yet central - This is a great boutique hotel in a residential area but very close to the San Isidro financial district I highly recommend it.
- stEvE-0000o (8/5): Vacation stay - Good for the money !!we were looking for a smoking room and thought this place was. But it is not we found out the day we left so when they noticed that we did day we left only as long as bed sheets are not burned no big deal .
Very good deal for what we paid
- michelledD8487AV (8/5): Stop over in Lima - We stayed here 1 night for a stopover in Lima. Rooms were clean and had AC. The food was very good. The reception was very friendly, and spoke good English. She helped us with a some of our travelling issues and got us an uber to get around.
The Oltursa bus station is very close. Which was great for us.
I found it on expedia.
- Mauricio (8/5): Small and nice, neighborhood quiet. - In general was a nice experience. The people very friendly. The neighborhood is nice, is very quiet.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Bad choice - Room to small, price overcharged, room service to slow, cable was damage, good breakfast
- Giovanni (8/5): Nice place and clean. - Clean and remodeled hotel with good breakfast. Would not hesitate to come back.
- 697aliciab (10/5): Hotel El Angolo - My husband and I stayed at the Angolo Hotel, in San Isidro in May of 2016. We were there for 11 days. We just loved the location because it is across from a beautiful park, there is not a lot of traffic, and there seems to be a lot of security. Furthermore, we fell in love with the staff at the hotel; from the Front Desk employees (Carmen, Roxanna) to the persons in charge of the continental breakfast (Emperatriz and a charming young man whose name we can't remember). Every one of the employees made our stay very pleasant and memorable. We would like to mention Mr. Alfredo Sulca who offered his charming services for transportation. This is such a wonderful service, to be able to have safe transportation, on time, connected to the hotel services. Thank you so much! We miss you and will be back soon! You deserve 6 stars :)
- javier (10/5): - The hotel is very comfortable and clean. The staff from reception to dinning room were very friendly and always available to help.
This was a work trip and the internet speed was excellent.
The hotel is located in a residential area behind the "Ministerio of Interior". During the day there are several restaurant options within walking distance (two excellent ceviche places), but at night the only place available nearby is a Chifa restaurant.
My bedroom and bathroom were of a good size. Clean and with the necessary amenities. No air conditioning available on my room; however, weather was so pleasant (May) that I kept the window open. Also no security box on the room.
Breakfast is simple, but enough to get the calories to start the day. Dinner and lunch are available on request. The terrace is a great place to work if stay at the hotel during the work hours.
My only observation for this hotel (and also the other three small hotels that I have tried on this trip) is the lack of a good lamp and desk on the room. It is hard to work form the pretty little table available on the room and more difficult without a decent source of light.
In general very satisfied. I would stay here in a future work trip to Lima,
- Rosa (6/5): - The first thing I arrive at middle of the night, was very hard to find and they don't let me to stay, I was thinking with my reservation from Toronto everything will be easy.
Very nice clean, and residential location but to far for everything, any way was not for me....
- betsyc412 (8/5): Residential area - The night clerk was ok but not very friendly. The day clerk was much more responsive and efficient. The place is hard to find for taxi drivers as it is off the beaten path and not close to restaurants. We seemed to be given a room for one person as there was only one towel, glass, chair, etc. The area was quiet at bedtime and breakfast was sufficient.
- Global570837 (8/5): One-day stay. Nice upgrades - This was one of the nicer stays during our ten-day trip in Peru. They are making many upgrades to the property which look very nice. The staff was helpful to me and my family. The breakfast buffet was satisfactory. Our room had three beds and a large bathroom. I highly recommend.
- Michael (6/5): Nice hotel at great price in San Isidro - Located in safe and quiet neighborhood in San Isidro, very close to the Interior Ministry and in financial / business district, but some distance from sites of touristic interest. Hotel appears modest from the street, but has clean and attractive interior. Photos on line accurately depict the hotel.
Breakfast room on top floor is modern, clean, attractive, with view of neighborhood park. Breakfast is average but adequate.
Hotel staff are helpful, but have limited proficiency in English, so be prepared to use Spanish. I only wish that they had city tour information (or even simple maps) available. However, the front desk clerk was helpful in quickly arranging a city tour for me when other plans fell through.
Good free wifi (free wifi is rare in your daily travels in Lima), so I could FaceTime to family at home and keep up on email daily.
- guadasabate (8/5): Very good Option for families - The apartment stile rooms are clean and tidy. There’s a small kitchenette (with microwave and refrigerator) a small living room/kids room and a bedroom on the Family Suite. It’s functional and comfortable specially if travelling with kids, when extra space is a good asset.
The hotel is being renovated; The bathroom needed some update as well as the kitchenette but in general terms was ok.
The hotel has wireless internet of quite a good quality, and parking included. Breakfast is served in a very nice terrace with views to the park in front of the hotel.
The price was very convenient, the zone secure and nearby you shall find supermarkets, restaurants, a dry cleaning and park with kids playground. It’s halfway between Lima Downtown and Miraflores area.
Personnel is kind and dedicated, always available and willing to solve any request. Considering all this I would say is a very good option.
- Olivia (8/5): Nice hotel, quiet neighborhood. - A very nice hotel in a nice, quiet neighborhood. So quiet that there are not a lot of shops to buy water or snacks at nearby, but there is a very affordable Chinese restaurant. Also they charge more for rooms double occupancy, so be careful about how you book.
- Jorge (4/5): Standard - Noisy. Regular facilties. Without room service, poor breakfast without options.
Personnel not trained, without any capabilties to response to issues.
- 246timc (6/5): Pretty basic, given the price - This apartment-style hotel is safely situated in the San Isidro district of Lima. It is clean and tidy, but the facilities in the 'apartment' are non-existent. The infrastructure is there: microwave, fridge, stove top, but there are no cups, glasses, plates, cutlery - nada! These are not usually things you bring on holiday, so unless you want to spend a fortune decking out the joint - eat somewhere else. The bathroom has no plugs (a common problem in hotels), so you'll need to stuff wet toilet paper in a plastic bag if you want to fill the washbasin or bath. The bed in my apartment is comfortable, but there are no night curtains, only shade, so the room is bathed in orange street light all night - get yourself some eye pads and ear plugs (there is an electric garage door which beeps every time someone comes in - at all hours). Breakfast basic (juice, cereal [one variety], ham, cheese, ghastly coffee).
- C. (8/5): Comfortable, safe and clean. - Far from the noise of the city, safe area, good customer service. Business area at walking distance. No restautants around.
- Rob (10/5): Nice quiet hotel in the busiest area! - Service was very good. I will recommend it!
- Renzo (8/5): Great location - Nice location..close to the main banks
- mrjonel (4/5): Not really a Hotel! - Workers may have good attitude but the are really poorly trained (or not trained). At arrival nobody would help with luggage, I had to carry my 3 pieces by myself all the way to the room. In the room bed mattress too hard (and I like firm mattresses), in the bathroom very poor lighting and had to take quick showers due to slow clogged drain, after 5 mins water was up to my ankle, when I asked them to repair it they said it was a bad drain system design issue. Kitchen closes at 9am, and when asked for scrambled eggs they said there was no gas to cook them. Next day ordered some breakfast room service, didn't get fork nor napkins. I ended up moving to other hotel because of the extreme noise due to work being done upstairs. If you are a smoker you are in luck, this one allows smoking in the rooms. Location is OK but in Miraflores you will find better places for same rates for sure. Sorry guys but I am never coming back.
- Verified traveler (2/5): SMELLY ROOM, UNFREINDLY POOR SERVICE - The room was cleaned daily by a staff member who clearly rarel bathed and left a terrible smell of body odour in the room every day. The smell was so bad it needed airing every day after it had been cleaned.
Breakfast was one of the poorest attempts I have ever experienced. Included in the breakfast was 1 egg. Had to argue with the staff to have two eggs. No bacon, no toast nothing else extra available...just 1 egg ! I noticed that the hotel keeps quiet with the availability of the 1 egg. The staff never bring the choice to the attention of guests. You actually have to ask if you can have an egg otherwise they keep quiet about it !
Lunch and Dinner were not available. What sort of hotel has a restaurant with no dinner or lunch? The local area has very limited eating choices which meant I had to take a taxi every night to another suburb to eat.
I had prepaid for two weeks so I was stuck with the choice otherwise I would have left the first night.
I would never ever stay there again.
- WilliamH836 (6/5): A nice hotel, but not for tourists - This was a nice hotel, but pretty bare bones. Located in San Isidro which is the business district, it is meant for business travelers not tourists. There are not many restaurants within walking distance and the staff did not speak any English, though they are helpful anyway. The hotel did have a decent breakfast, but it was not clear how you ordered the eggs......If you want to stay in the tourist, fun area, then Miraflores is the place to be......
- Jose (2/5): NOT recommended. Do not stay here. - only good thing is the location. everything else is a disaster. horror staff. NOT recommended
