- Bret (10/5): - Met my expectations. Thanks
- Christy (10/5): - Super clean rooms and bathroom. Checkin was super easy and all were friendly
- Rodrigo (10/5): - Cozy place, really quiet to have good rest.
- Lynnette (8/5): - Rustic & cozy vibe, with all the amenities one needs for a one nite stay.
Would have liked some tea however; only coffee offered in the room.
- Laurie (10/5): - Nice, clean, quiet. Visiting relatives in town so glad we could find a place to stay.
- Chris (10/5): - Great room. Very clean.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Scented detergent - Our family struggles with reactions to fragrance therefore the bedding cleaned with detergent that is scented causes problems. We do bring our own sheets and pillowcases. However the covers and the room still contain that fragrance. This morning I’m stuffed up, at least not nauseated.
We don’t have this issue with the larger hotels in cities. They apparently use the free and clear deterrent and cleaning products. It would be wonderful if Back Country could and be more of an eco system.
Otherwise, love how this hotel was transformed from the run down one here when I was a kid.
- Lenn (10/5): - Very nice and quiet
- Robert (8/5): Nice motel! - Nice comfortable inn. Clean. Bed was perfect. Should be great for hunters or couples.
- Jeff (10/5): - Hidden gem! Loved my few night stay here while visiting Telluride.
- Gerald (10/5): - No WiFi password and no one there to ask.
- Betty (10/5): - Beautiful grounds! Very clean!
- Virginia (4/5): - Comfortable beds
No one was there when we arrived and an envelope with the keys inside awaited us in a mailbox - quite impersonal
- JODIE L (10/5): Loved it! - Absolutely loved our stay! Great place for multi night stay! Super comfortable, super clean! Hosts are amazing!
- Keith (10/5): Nice place - Very quiet. Very clean. Very nice place.
- Mike (10/5): - The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The room was great.
- Sylvain (6/5): - Well equipped, quiet
- Tina (8/5): - This is a charming, clean motel in Norwood. We would go back. Please be aware that if you check-in after 6 you need to confirm with them directly as to where to get your key. Chris was helpful and in the end made everything right.
- Dan (10/5): - The room was very comfortable, clean, nice shower and bath, breakfast was limited but good and began at 6 am which was better than most for early risers.
- Mario (10/5): - Nice room, upgraded, helpful staff, breakfast available all day.
- Noel (10/5): - All good
- Clarice (10/5): - Backcountry Inn is a very lovely property inside and out. It is not your ordinary motel in a small town. Altogether a very pleasant place.
- Steve (10/5): Fantastic place to stay! - Great place to stay in Norwood. Clean comfortible, quiet, and convenient to everything Norwood has to offer.
- William (10/5): - I like now that knowing the location walkable to the Fair Grounds and summer rodeos.
- Mandi (10/5): - Check in haslle free, staff was accommodating. Over all great experience
- Barry (10/5): - Great room. No service or breakfast due to COVID-19
- MannyLove (8/5): - was just a quick in and out stay. the place was nice and the price point was good for the stay.
- Sally Friend (10/5): - We were very impressed with the hotel and our room. Excellent condition and very clean.
- Thomas (10/5): Nice little Inn with clean & comfortable rooms - Nice little Inn with clean & comfortable rooms in the center of Norwood. The office wasn't staffed at anytime during our stay which wasn't an issue for us. Some of the continental breakfast items were out before we got there at 7:00 one morning. Overall, a great stay!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Super clean and nice. I did see the staff since we came late and left early but the room was perfect and very comfy
- John (8/5): - The rooms are pretty small - not much room for your suitcases to be open in the room. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. Larger fridge than in most rooms. Breakfast choices are limited. Overall a good place to stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Newly renovated, clean and easy to check in and out!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This lovely motel is located in a very small, quaint town. We loved spending time in the spacious lobby which had a comfortable sitting area. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The free breakfast was simple but adequate. The room was very clean, the bed comfortable.
The only thing missing was a ironing board and iron.
- Jessica (10/5): Clean & Comfortable - Very comfortable & clean room. We were visiting Telluride & Ouray which were too expensive to stay closer. This is a bit of a drive away, but it was a nice easy drive.
- Happy (10/5): - It was very clean, and enjoyed the breakfast, it was easy to get to, got there late so, but that was not an issue found where they had put the keys.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Advertised as only 2 rooms available, false advertisement as there was only one other guest right next door. TV would not work and there was no staff to call to possibly fix this issue. Check out is at 1000, I have never stayed in a hotel where check out was not 1100 with the option to get a late check out. No continental breakfast as advertised Mon-Friday.
- Chidananda (8/5): Near to several attractions - It's a good hotel to stay for short duration, especially if you are travelling via Norwood.
It's close to Telluride and Ouray which are great locations for anyone wanting to explore Million Dollar Highway, Bridal Veil Falls, Trout Lake and other mountains around this location.
- Thomas (10/5): Great hotel - This hotel was great. The check in was the only confusion part as there was nobody there but there was a number. Called it and the lady was very helpful. Told where the key was and no problems from there. Also hadn’t small continental breakfast included.
- Shellie (8/5): - Registered 6 people - only had 4 towels. NO breakfast, unless you want to eat a few corn flakes.
- Tony (8/5): Clean, comfy and cozy - The hotel itself was very nice...clean and comfortable,, and cozy. In comparison to other hotels, the room was a bit small, but that's not bad - it's cozy. :) The accommodations were nice and quiet, even though I was right next to the office/lobby. In the room, there there was no closet, but a wardrobe was provided, which was fine. There was no table/chair in the room to work at...but instead, there was a folding chair and an oversized TV tray table in the wardrobe. It was a little uncomfortable to work at that and eventually I ended up using the tray table as a lap desk while sitting on the bed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room also included a microwave and refrigerator which was helpful since the area around the hotel did not have much by way of open eating establishments on a Sunday evening. Thank goodness the local grocery story was open until 9:00 p.m.! WiFi was provided and was reliable during the stay.
- Jena (4/5): - The room was fine. A light bulb was out and the bathroom fan didn't work. It was a little small but had what we needed and was clean. We did get charged by Expedia AND by the hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Recently updated Inn in a not so recently updated town lol. BackCountry Inn is above average for what you're expecting for the price and location.
Bathroom fixtures were Kohler and relatively new. AC worked well, check in was convenient, and the rest was clean and what you need. No frills :)
- Rose (10/5): - First impression was great when we came around the corner
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great, clean, and good location. Very friendly staff, small cute and quaint hotel
- Roy (10/5): Great stay - Breakfast was cereal, eggs, and cookies. Otherwise was awesome
- Doni (10/5): - Lovely room very clean and charming.
- Pankaz (8/5): - Nice hotel and clean and well maintained, very close to state highway.
- Diane (8/5): Good Chocolate Chip Cookies - Back Country Inn is truly in the back country. It is a great place to get away from it all, or to stay at while you checking out the fall colors in the high country. It was quiet and peaceful. On top of all that, the manager made fresh chocolate chip cookies.
