Rasmus (10/5): Ett helt fantastiskt litet hotell - Haft en helt fantastisk vecka på Filoxenia med familjen. Ägarna är helt fantastiska och mycket hjälpsamma, de gör allt för att just du som gäst ska trivas! På skylten vid vägen stär det att alla är välkomna och det är precis så det känns. Det vi saknade var ett större matutbud (finns en hel men vi saknade t.ex. gyros eller souvlaki i pita som enklare lunch), men det finns många restauranger i närheten. Har ett väldigt bra intryck av hotellet i helhet: rent och fräscht, väldigt trevlig och glad personal (även städerskor och servitriser, känns som en bra arbetsplats). Ligger en bit från Rhodos stad men det gjorde egentligen ingenting när man inte ska åka in fler än 1-2 gånger, och det är väldigt nära flygplatsen. Området är litet och familjärt med tre byggnader, varav två med hotellrum. På hotellområdet finns en massa olika fruktträd och en trädgårdsmästare smyger runt varje morgon och fixar. Vi är väldigt nöjda och kommer välja Filoxenia om vi åker tillbaka till Rhodos.
Matthew (10/5): - The Filoxenia Hotel is a truly magical place! We stayed for 10 nights in mid-August and honestly couldn't fault a single thing. The rooms are well equipped and kept clean by the excellent cleaning teams, The pools were well kept and tidy, and the team are extremely friendly and accommodating. The hotel offers a peaceful stay nestled among the old farmland where you are surrounded by local fruit and olive trees, and other traditional greek plants which show it's authenticity. It's impressive that the harvest from these plants goes straight to the kitchen to be used in the restaurant or made into jams and preserves for sale on-site. We ate at the restaurant most mornings and evenings as the food was some of the best we had in all of Rhodes and was very reasonably priced. Cannot recommend the Sunday BBQ night and Lamb Kleftiko enough! Also very much worth reserving a table for the traditional Greek music and dancing night on Friday evenings. My only warning is not a fault of the hotel but I strongly recommend hiring a car to explore the island. Buses are infrequent, unreliable and massively overcrowded. In summary, this is a hotel with a huge heart where the staff are clearly a close-knit community who want guests to enjoy their stay as much as possible. It offers a more traditional taste of Rhodes which is exactly what we came for. Other resorts in the area seem cold and sterilised in comparison. We plan on returning to this beautiful place again and again!

Colin (10/5): Séjour agréable - Un petit hôtel sympathique à taille humaine. La chambre était conforme à ce que nous avions réservé. Le cadre tout autour de l’hôtel est tres charmant : jardin bien entretenu et fleuri, arbres fruitiers…nous avons mangé plusieurs fois au restaurant de l’hôtel, la nourriture est excellente et le tarif est correcte (soirée barbecue entre autre), enfin les propriétaires de l’établissement sont très gentils et très investis dans la tenue de leur hôtel
Dirk (10/5): - Nach 2019 unser zweiter Besuch in diesem Hotel. Die Anlage ist immer noch sehr sauber, das Inhaber Ehepaar ist extrem freundlich und zuvorkommend. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Das Essen ist immer noch sehr gut und bezahlbar. Eine echte Empfehlung für alle die etwas abseits von den großen Touristen Herbergen Urlaub machen möchten.

Verified traveler (10/5): - Eine wunderschöne und sehr saubere Hotelanlage. Das Filoxenia wird von der Besitzer Familie geführt und man fühlt sich ab dem ersten Moment sehr wohl. Die Zimmer waren. Sehr sauber und in einem sehr guten Zustand. In unseren Zimmern haben einige Fernsehsendung nicht funktioniert, der Besitzer hat sich sofort darum gekümmert und das Problem beseitigt. Die Anlage selbst liegt etwas entfernt von Touristenzentrum was uns sehr gut gefallen hat. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder, unsere Erwartungen wurden wirklich übertroffen.

There is a bus stop outside the Hotel which goes to Rhodes for 3 Euros each. The mini golf was a bonus although there is a small charge. Would definitely recommend.
Rob & Sandra (10/5): Exceeded expectation on so many levels - First of all, Nikos & Evangelina are 2 of the most hospitable & welcoming people you could ever meet. The food served at the restaurant is excellent & many of the flavours come from their beautifully kept gardens. Had some of the best meals in Rhodes at Filoxenia, especially the BBQ on Friday night. Absolutely loved the week spent here and would recommend it to anyone. Rooms are spacious and clean with fairly basic amenities and the island itself has plenty to explore also. Recommend a day trip to Symi Island if you have the time

nyonnyos (10/5): First class hotel restaurant on site - our 5th stay with Nikos and Evangelina realy like being at home with nothing too much trouble wonderful food on site and spotless rooms and the whole site is clean and tidy would recommend this hotel to anyone who would like authentic home made food from home produced produce. An ideal Greek experience.

Amy (10/5): A little gem, perfect for exploring the island - Brilliant family run hotel. The cleanest hotel I have ever been in. Considering we went towards the end of the season, everything was perfect. The hotel is super close to the airport, you can jump on the local bus from the airport (15-20 mins) or it's a 10 mins taxi ride away. The bus stop is directly outside of the hotel. We also hired a car for the day from the hotel to explore the island, I would highly recommend this. There is a pebble beach about a 5-10min walk away from the hotel, it's a lovely stretch of beach for a nice stroll along, it's also suitable for swimming. We also found a traditional, family-run, Greek restaurant in Fanes by the harbour that's served lovely Greek food (can be found on TripAdvisor), otherwise there are a lot of restaurants in the town closest to the hotel. The hotel also has its own restaurant which is lovely and well priced, they also use produce grown on the hotel grounds, so everything is super fresh. Overall this hotel is amazing value for money and I would definitely return.
Debbie (10/5): Very welcoming - Never been to Greece before. What can I say? Such a friendly place as soon as we arrived we felt as if we had been there for ages. Nicos and Eva are the best couple ever.They work so hard to make sure everyone is happy with their stay and no job is too big for them.They remember you name aswell which is very rare with other hotels. The hotel is lovely and clean plus we felt safe there through out our stay. We sat on our balcony with a lovely sea view. The cleaners and staff never stop they are constantly on the go. Definately go again and would suggest others try it too. Filoxenia puts some 4 and 5 star hotels to shame.
Ana (10/5): Great hotel, lovely staff - We had a fantastic stay at Filoxenia. The rooms were great, clean and comfortable with views of the sea and olive groves. The swimming pools were perfect and the restaurant served great local food as well as other international dishes. But the best thing about the hotel was the owners (Nico and his family) and the staff - they were friendly, attentive and helpful and helped create a great atmosphere around the place. When we were not happy with the first rooms we were given they were accommodating and gave us new rooms as soon as they became available. We really loved the hotel and would recommend it to friends wishing to visit Rhodes.

The restaurant offered a great range of Greek cuisines and Nickos and Evangelina and their staff were very helpful in making the most of our visit to Rhodes. My only quibble is wifi not being available in the rooms, and ours was also in a signal dead zone. All communication had to come from the public area. But, the bed mattress was the most comfortable of our Greece trip!

Utroligt flinke og søde ejere og ansatte - man føler at de oprigtigt går op i at man får et super ophold. Sengene på værelset var ikke de bedste og badet var ikke alt for smart indrettet, men herudover ikke noget at sætte en finger på! Retaurenten der er tilknyttet hotellet er ganske ok, ikke dårlig, men heller ikke fantastisk :) Hvis jeg kommer tilbage til Rhodos, skal jeg helt sikkert bo her.

Harald (10/5): Wie bei Muttern :-) ! - Sehr herzlicher Empfang und Betreuung durch das Eigentümerpaar. Schon nach kurzer Zeit haben wir uns wie Zuhause gefühlt und wollten gar nicht mehr weg. Bei Hitze ist der Pool unbezahlbar. Das hauseigene Restaurant können wir nur empfehlen. Alles hat sehr gut geschmeckt, ist preiswert und es sind "holiday portions" :-) Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Convenient location (10 minute taxi journey from the airport), wonderful staff, sheets/towels changed and rooms cleaned daily, very reasonably priced food, good pools with no shortage of sun loungers. Lyn (10/5): Lovely apartments close to Buttlerfly Valley - We had a fantastic stay at these wonderful apartments. The apartments are very clean and the family than run it couldn't be nicer. Nothing was too much trouble. The apartments are on the quieter side of the island, which makes for a wonderful relaxing holiday. They have two pools, extremely clean. Food was delicious. There is a supermarket only a few minutes down the road, so you can top up on basic essentials. It's not too far to Rhodes old town, and close also to the Butterfly valley, both are worth a visit. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a relaxing holiday. Went for a week, wish I could have stayed for two. Would definitely go back if i had the chance.

Tinu (10/5): Lovely family-run small hotel. - We had a wonderful time here. The owners are incredibly friendly without being overbearing. (Our children also fell in love with the dog.) The pools were great and there was never any problem getting a deck-chair! The food was delicious, authentic Greek cooked by the family who own the hotel. But there were also pizzas on the menu that suited the children. The accommodation was cleaned daily and we were surprised at how spacious it was. Having a fridge with an ice box was brilliant for freezing bottles of water! Filoxenia is definitely good value! We recommend it without reservation.
Naz (10/5): Lovely family run place - On arriving at the Filoxenia my husband,teenage son and I were greeted warmly by the hosts Evangalia and Nicos. The apartment was very clean although we found the beds a little on the hard side and the shower difficult to use without saturating the bathroom, as the shower head does not have a overhead holder. There was a small kitchenette unit with two electric rings, a sink and full size fridge. As we ate out all through our stay I could not say if this was adequate, I don't imagine you could cook a family meal but it was fine for making a snack and there was also a decent kettle but nowhere to plug it in other than in the seperate bedroom, on the dressing table. We mainly ate at the Filoxenia and all the meals were delicious, fresh and the portion sizes were huge. Saturday night is barbecue night where Nicos cooked all the meat and fish on his brick built barbecue next to the eating area. The restaurant is very quiet and there are not many other bars/restaurants nearby other than taking a bus or taxi ride to the next town or village, great if you like it quiet. The pools are lovely with plenty of sunbeds, but I would recommend you try and get the blue and white ones, as opposed to the white plastic ones, as they are far more comfortable. Mike, the hosts son, works in the bar and restaurant and, like his parents is very welcoming and friendly. Overall I would recommend the Filoxenia just for the warm, friendly family and everything else is a bonus.
Laura (8/5): Fun family friendly hotel - My husband and I stayed at Filoxenia for a week, from 16th July 2014. This was our last holiday together as a child-free couple, as we are expecting our first baby in October. First impressions were lovely. We were greeted by Panos, one of the owners sons. We were on a late flight so his friendly welcome and complimentary drink were really appreciated. The atmosphere in and around the bar was chilled out and we immediately felt we made the right choice for a relaxing holiday. However, we were then advised that our room for the week wasn't available, and that we would have to spend the first night in an alternative room, then move the next day. Not ideal when you just want to unpack and start to enjoy your holiday, without living out of a suitcase for the first day. However, the owner, Niko, was very pleasant and reassuring and arranged for our luggage to be moved for us the next day, while we were out and about, so it was no big issue in the end. We spent our week touring the island, shopping in Rhodes old town (beautiful) and relaxing by the pool. All staff were really friendly and chatty, and really made us feel at home. The children's cocktails they made for me were delicious! as were the fresh meals with different options every day. Overall we were sad to leave Filoxenia. We felt we made new friends in the owners and staff, and we'd love to go back again one day with our little one.

Verified traveler (10/5): Amazing hospitality - I was lucky enough to arrive on BBQ night (Sat eve) which was well worth it. The food at their restaurant is amazing and the prices are more than reasonable. The room was comfortable and it was cleaned daily. For self-catering, it was perfect. I will say that it is a good idea to bring an eye mask as well as ear plugs. The curtains aren't going to block out the bright sun, and the insects are very noisy :) There is plenty to do on the property with 3 pools that are kept in excellent condition, along with on-site games such as pool, mini-golf, giant chess, etc. The beach is a short stroll away and the bus stops right outside. There is a supermarket about 10 minutes from the hotel too. The best part of the hotel, is the family who run it. They were warm and welcoming and always available to help. They made you feel like part of the family and it was sad to leave. It is definitely a place I'd go again.
Family (10/5): Relaxing location - Fantastic hospitality. Located on the outskirts of a small village. Not for you if you want somewhere with a huge choice of bars and restaurants, but if you want genuine hospitality and a relaxing atmosphere then you must stay here! Highly recommended.

Mobinsyd (10/5): Fantastic Hospitality - We had a wonderful stay at Filoxenia. The room was spacious and clean with a lovely balcony overlooking the sea. Lovely swiimg pool and hardens. The standout feature of this hotel is the fantastic service and hospitality received from the Owners. You are made to feel like family and nothing is too much trouble to organize. The restaurant provides excellent home cooking - we ate there every day. Highly recommended.
Cleckles (10/5): Lovely small family run hotel - Small hotel, family run. Wonderful atmosphere and owners could not do enough for you. Food excellent, accommodation basic but very clean and bright. Quiet location, not for you if you like a sandy beach!! Local bus service right outside hotel, very reasonable.
