- Kapoor (8/5): Very comfortable - Good location Beautiful
- Iram (10/5): Royal heritage belongs here - The ambience and hospitality both were superb. People longing for heritage architecture must spend at least a night here. The terrace rooms are not accessible by lift but only stairs. People having climbing issues will have to climb up the stairs from the top floor to the terrace.
- Maria Virginia (6/5): Beautiful building and accommodating staff. Just a bit too dirty and rundown. - Truly beautiful property, the palace is really stunning and the view of the garden is extremely peaceful and really special. The staff was also very accommodating of our requests and send people to help any time we had issues. It was all a bit rundown and dirty. The toilet had some stains, and the bathroom was not very clean, you could see there was hair in the corners. The other issue that I had is around how clean the bedsheets and the Pillowcases were. The ones that were already in the room were just a little bit dirty - I could see some spots. But the ones that they brought us when we asked for extra blankets were super dusty. I noticed outside of the room, on the terrace, some extra mattresses and towels were being kept. I can imagine the bedsheets were held in a similar way, which explains the “dirty” feeling.
- Diganto (8/5): Very beautiful place to visit and live through the historical times gone past. - Royalties, Elegance of the property. Staff were on the rush during dinner hours.
- Pierre (10/5): -
- Michael (7/5): Beautiful property, but not that great as a hotel. - Staff are very friendly Breakfast was not that great. Bathroom was getting flooded if showering for more than 5 minutes or so.
- Yachneet (10/5): Truely a Gem ! History buff its gold rush - For a history buff its like wild wild west of GOLD RUSH. enjoyed the ambience , service and rooms . all in all was lovely weekend stay.
- Heather (6/5): Great building and original features, but breakfast is to be avoided! - Beautiful original building, with authentic features and furniture. Some lovely staff and dinner was good. Service was lacking. Welcome/check in was perfunctory, there was no service in the bar although it was open, and we were told nothing about breakfast charges until after the event. There is no nearby alternative for breakfast, and the selection and quality were well below par, and it was very expensive. Breakfast here was the worst value experience of our 15 day tour of Rajasthan. Pool area was unusable and is under netting.
- kumar (10/5): Best of best - Majestic Nothing
- Sharma (7/5): Poor quality stale breakfast - Services, beauty of the place and structure as always be perfect Was given an outer room secluded, breakfast wasn't included and wasn't informed even on asking. The food was very bad, very stale, did not expect this from Lakmi niwas, the muffins were months old. For no reason paid huge amount for such bad breakfast. Wouldn't want to stay again.
- Hasanali (4/5): Disappointing - Heritage collection is good Food is not delicious as per cost. Bathroom facilities not up to mark.
- Neeraj (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christine (10/5): - The staff is outstanding at this beautiful property. We only stayed one night in Bikaner and weren’t expecting much based on some of the negative reviews we read on Trip Advisor before booking. However our experience was outstanding.
We were warmly greeted and given two beautiful suites. The floor in our room had just been refinished and was still off-gassing. We asked to be moved and were promptly and cheerfully given another room.
We arrived on Diwali and the hotel had fireworks on the front lawn and a dinner in the outdoor central courtyard. There were live musicians and an incredible dancer during dinner.
Breakfast the next morning was great and the service was friendly and professional.
To top it off our friends left behind some clothing. The hotel promptly texted me a photo of what was left behind and kindly mailed it to our address in India so that I could return it to them when we finally go back to the USA. Thank you Mr. Narendra Singh Shekhawat for going above and beyond.
I happily recommend a stay at the Laxmi Niwas Palace. We look forward to returning.
- Sandeep (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful heritage place Decor can be uplifted, bit higher on price

the maintenance of the old furniture/furnishings can be improved.
- Sunil (7/5): Good -
- Antoine (9/5): Superb -
- N (10/5): wonderful except the guilt of wasting water. - the property’s charm and the staff. having to waste lot of water before getting hot water in wash room.
- Juergen (4/5): Disappointing - It is a palace with history and a beautiful zenana court.
If renovated it would be amazing. A rip off at 185E!!!! We thought we were booking into a good hotel but the property is in need of a complete facelift... high ceiling rooms, no possibility of opening windows, no view (felt like a prison), old furniture, dirty walls, torn towels, the corridors and court all messy after wedding previous day.....
The booking.com price dated yesterday was 83E.....even that would almost be too much but 185E for what we got.!!!! My God!! Stay away!
Last night my husband asked to speak with the manager at 9am, before our departure today. Ofcourse, this morning there was no manager to be seen.
I should add that eventually we were given an acceptable room but the the money charged considering the state of the hotel, is nothing but daylight robbery!!!

- Katherine (7/5): Beautiful hotel but needs some upgrading - Beautiful historic building, large room, good food at the restaurant, staff were lovely. We were leaving early so they packed us breakfast to go which was great. Shower was very old and had only lukewarm water. Very large grounds mean building is somewhat isolated from the street making a taxi or car necessary for any trips outside the hotel
- Sidhu (5/5): Passable - heritage building very old and dated rooms. bathtub was about to break. Toilets were very dirty and very old.
- Purbita (8/5): Very good -
- Kallol13 (9/5): Superb -
- Aniljeet (7/5): Good -
- Mark (6/5): Pleasant - the building is gorgeous the bed uncomfortable
insufficient heat
plumbing is ancient
- Pareek (10/5): Exceptional -
- Harsh (2/5): Very poor -
- Anil (9/5): Superb -
- Kevin (8/5): A night as a Maharajah - - the palace is truly amazing
- travel in time
- the experience
- the staff - equipments getting a bit old
- could be cleaner for that range of price
- Sylvain (8/5): A spectacular architecture, with an experience not entirely on par. - The building architecture is absolutely spectacular and is the highlight of the hotel. It is simply a great experience to just walk around the premises and explore every corner, the courtyard and rooftops, filled with memorabilia. The category of rooms we had did not have windows. The furniture and equipment could be upgraded to today’s standards in India for this category of hotels. The breakfast options were fine but could be easily ameliorated to improve the overall experience.
- Vikas (8/5): - The property has the Royal look and feel however the property can be better maintained. We had deal with a tripping fuse for our room. We lost electricity in our room 4 times in 40’minutes. It only was sustainable after they reduced the heater load and we spent the night in a colder room.
- Randhir (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (7/5): I have paid cash at Laxmi Niwas today morning but my card is also charged by 20058. Please refund this amount. Booking i -
- Himanshu (10/5): Fantastic property! great staff! Awesome stay! - Fantastic heritage property with very polite and helpful staff.
- Simi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rohit (10/5): nyc - Hertige property & well mention
- Shashi (1/5): it was a rip off ; how can a basic facilty like availability of hot water not be there. extremely poor hospitality - no - good ambience no hot water , absolute shame. it was a scam - the manager and staff dont worry. Will put my reviews in Instagram and twitter.
- Elio (8/5): Nice stay. Indian flavour - The place is very posh, elegant and has a nice Indian Colony flavour. Nothing.
- Andrew (7/5): Good -
- Rohan (10/5): Exceptional - Everything about this place is amazing. The amount of history this place has is amazing. Palace staff is very warm and welcoming. Being a palace the prices are high but I think the food prices could have been a bit reasonable.
- Rohit (10/5): Exceptional -
- Patel (9/5): Superb -
- Arko (7/5): A grand palace fallen into hard times - With over Rs 15K per night the property provides a unique experience of old world charm and grandeur.
The staff ensures to cater to your request and making your stay a memorable one. The food was super tasty. The room was beautiful too. The property has fallen into hard times which can be clearly seen around in the crumbling infrastructure., Maintenance is improper, much of the property is inaccessible due to ongoing renovations. The gym is barely usable.
Most of the time the property is used for arranging functions and parties which takes precedence over hotel guests.
Hers hoping the responsible people take note and push to improve the lost standards of the hotel
- nicholas (10/5): - We stayed one night on our way from Delhi to Jaisalmer. The property met our needs for a stopover. Staff was very nice. Both meals were fine
- Todd (5/5): Disappointed - Did not eat after food poisoning
- Venkata (9/5): Nice and comfortable - Felt like stay in fort
- Sameer (8/5): Very good -
- SHALINI (2/5): - All the staff busy in servicing marriage party, VIPs leaving us by ourselves. After multiple requests, they somehow attended us. Property and rooms needed more attention.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Awesome experience - Excellent experience, the Maharaja style 😊
- VIVEK (10/5): - Excellent hospitality
Staff behaviour superb
Full value of momey
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Amazing location and property
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Service is outstanding, you feel like an honoured guest
- Ming Kong (10/5): Beautiful palace. - Accomadation is great, unfortunately because it was built many years ago, central air conditioning could not be built in now. The air cooler option in the room could not beat the heat.
- Anonymous (10/5): Gorgeous hotel close to palaces and museums - Best hotel stay ever!!! The hotel is a former palace with all its beauty. The staff at the hotel is extremely attentive and friendly. They go above and beyond in anticipating your needs and taking care of them without you needing to even ask! I would go to Bikaner just to spend time at this fabulous hotel and be pampered.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Had a stay like a king - This place has very big rooms
and even the shower had a separate room very spacious
good staff we could imagine
the way the kings live the history of the surrounding is still there.very comfortable beds and good facilities.
jess shukla

- Maurice (8/5): - This was an old palace converted to a hotel. The public areas were good and the restaurant was also good. The room we were given was on the top floor with no access by elevator as it stopped 2 floors below and there were a lot of stairs to climb. The room was adequate at best and the bathroom less so giving the impression that it was long overdue for a refurbish. Overall impression public areas good room etc badly in need of more work to come up to standard expected.
- PRAKASH (10/5): Worth stay - Fantastic
- Maria Florencia (10/5): amazing - the best hotel in The world
You ll feel like a dream
- Subramaniam (8/5): Good option for palace living experience @ Bikaner - Laxmi Niwas is a good palace hotel for a stay @ Bikaner. The hotel has maintained its palace features very well. The service at the hotel's restaurants can be better - not equipped to handle a full house.
- Ravishankar (8/5): Royal Experience ! - Me and my wife stayed here from 25th to 28th Dec. It was a wonderful experience. The staff is particularly helpful and made our stay an experience to remember. The daily events including the flute vadan, the folk music rendition in the evening and the pool side rajasthani folk music group were amazing. The place is steeped in history. It is a must visit.
- atul (8/5): Average Heritage Property - Being a heritage property, they are just complacent due to their unique advantage of being situated inside a palace building, but they are not much bothered about excellent services in line with today's standards of hospitality industry. Room was ordinary and house keeping standard was low. To my estimate food was extremely costly. I have also stayed at Gajner Palace, Bikaner and I found it a much better heritage property as compared to Laxmi Niwas Palace. If one has own vehicle than Gajner is a much better choice.
