• Vivien (3/5): Would not come here again - The man at the front desk was very friendly, and the outside area looked well maintained at first glance, so I do appreciate that. However, for anyone traveling to beautiful Wells, Maine, I would strongly recommend spending a few extra dollars and staying somewhere else. We stayed here for one night and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The room smelled extremely musty and damp, almost like mold and mildew, which made it very uncomfortable to stay in. That was by far the worst part, and honestly I barely slept because of it. It was also very cold in the room, but the heater was so incredibly loud that it was impossible to sleep with it running. The cleanliness was also not great overall.

• Alison (10/5): Would definitely stay again! - It was very clean and nice. People were very friendly. They allow pets for a small fee. Great location right in town. There is a mini fridge and a microwave which is great. The tv had cable and plenty of channels. Bed were comfortable. Very clean and up to date. It’s not much of a complaint, the bathroom was a bit small, but it had a tub so that’s what mattered! There were little shampoos and plenty of towels. The bathroom fan was a bit loud my husband commented on it sounding like an indie race haha. So we kept it off. Not much counter space on the sink to put your stuff. The water was hot but it didn’t get super hot like I like it. But it was hot enough! There was a bit in of a musty smell to the room but it wasn’t obvious all the time.

They didn’t tell us that we needed to request it. So after the first day of it not being cleaned, I went to the office. Staff is very nice. I was told that they are short staffed/off season and you need to request it. They happily replaced towels and replenished coffee and put the request in to clean. The next day they cleaned, but the day after, they didn’t. So instructions weren’t clear, how this worked.

• Ronda (8/5): - the staff was great. We have been staying there for a couple of years now due the hotel we use to stay at someone had tried 3 different times to break into our room. I lost my room key when we're leaving and the gentleman, I reported it too left me come back home to see if it was in our stuff which it was. they charge 35 dollars per night for each dog no matter how many you have; we were only there in the evenings. We always travel with dogs.

• JoeyWhitney (6/5): Uncomfortable at best - Room was freezing as the heat was in the air conditioning unit. Bathroom had no heating and no curtain on the bathroom window. The wooden floor was so cold we kept our shoes on until we went to bed. The heat/air conditioning unit was very loud and because you used the thermostat it would go on and off all night waking us and the grandkids. Bed was very hard the pillows awfully soft and tough to get comfortable. The price was fine but not worth it as it was totally uncomfortable and the tv a pain.

• Patricia (8/5): Fun, had a nice time. - The place was nice very clean the grounds were well kept and the location convenient to many attractions. The beds were comfortable. I think that the unit should have hooks or something to hang towels or coats. Especially considering it it is in a beach area and has a pool. Also a better method for utensil storage it is very disorganized just laying in a cabinet. Also, there is nowhere to store any food, even though it has a kitchen area.
• A (8/5): Cute & clean space close to it all! - Easy check in for my birthday weekend along with a great location that was close to everything. Staff were friendly. Rooms are a bit on the older side but maintained fairly well. Water was brown from the sink & shower when it first came out. The bed had a metal frame that squeaked really loudly even when I sat on the bed. The AC was also super loud, but I was grateful it worked in the heat. The people who checked in above me were noisy all night, hence why I was hoping for a cottage but was told they’re not available until May. Not having people next to you or above you would be ideal. It was hard to rest as a light sleeper after a 3.5 hour drive. I definitely want to try a cottage next time!!

• Eva (5/5): Perfect location. Overpriced and not mentioned dog fee. Uncomfortably firm bed. Would never stay on bottom floor again a - The location was great. I missed the part that dogs incur a $35/night fee in this hotel description. The beds were beyond uncomfortable. They had recently opened as the water that came from the faucet was pink with antifreeze and the mildew smell in the room was unbearable. For going as early in the season as we did, and the lack of people staying here, I’m baffled as to why we had to listen to stomping above us.
• Shelley (10/5): We had a great time and stay at the Anchor Inn and cottages. - The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and just the right size for the two of us. Was they could give us a first floor room as my husband has stage 4 kidney cancer and has a hard time climbing stairs. They understood and made it happen. :) The price for the stay helped us get away for a little. We understand that the price may not be the same in the peak season. We was hoping it was so we could bring our family this summer. Don't see that happening but that's okay.

• Shannon (8/5): - Was quiet and the pool was relaxing what meant the world to me is they found my daughters necklace she lost at the pool area we’re very empathetic about it , the necklace was giving as a gift from her grandfather who’s suffering with cancer , they staff was attentive to our needs and I would recommend staying there.

• Matthew (6/5): A good location and well kept exterior, with some drawbacks - The exterior of the hotel is very well kept with good landscaping and maintenance. The grills outside are meticulously cleaned by staff. The room had non-carpeted floors, which is a big plus in hotels. The staff was friendly. It's located in a good spot between several key towns in southern Maine. The room had an overwhelmingly strong marijuana smell inside that lingered for the duration of the trip. The bedroom windows are covered with cheap blinds, and do not have room darkening curtains. The bathroom is exceptionally small.

• Suzanna (10/5): Had a great time. Would stay again. - Stayed in a 2 room efficiency with kitchenette. We were able to prepare all meals here. Had a two burner cooktop. Microwave and kcup coffee maker. Grocery store right down the road. Room was comfortable and clean a/c worked great. Family loved the pool. Used outside grill and spike ball. Staff was friendly and helpful. Not a complaint, just a heads up, that if you plan to cook, bring some of your own supplies (knife, can opener, paper plates , cups and cutlery). We traveled with four.
• Anastasia (10/5): Highly recommend! - Nice clean room. We rented a spacious cottage with our dog. Room was well stocked with extra pillows and towels. The staff was very responsive to any request. Could not ask for a better location. It would have been great to have a table and chairs. We stayed in cabin C 1 last year and it had a nice setup for dining. The one we got this year had a coffee table instead.

• Kenneth (3/5): Probably not coming back. - Location was perfect My wife is handicapped so she doesn’t walk well & in front of the cottage there’s 30 feet of grass before you get to the door so I asked the lady ( very rude)at the desk if I could get a room across the way were there’s no grass & easier accessible but she said no weee completely full & as I filled out my paperwork another lady came in with no reservation and asked if she could get something on the lower lever don’t know if she got it but the lady said let me see & I left I probably won’t be returning to this place again it was our second time here first time was excellent this time not good at all made extremely difficult for my wife to walk to & from the car without assistance sorry this didn’t go better .

• Anna (6/5): Would not stay again - Staff was friendly, pool was nice, cottage was clean. Pet friendly and the grounds well kept. Parking was never a problem. Furniture was old, stained and dirty. Coffee machine is 4c (to small). The handle on shower came off. Doors have gaps and do not close correctly. Cottage was much smaller than what it really is( pictures make it appear larger.) Pool does need some fixing(paint scaping )

Gradita anche la presenza dei barbeque. Stanze comode e dotate di tutti gli accessori. Buono il wifi. Forse da migliorare la potenza del wifi.

• P6586DYlarryg (10/5): Our new go to! Well before back - Great property, comfortable room, awesome people. Anchor Inn and cottages is conveniently located on Post road, but no road noise. Our service dog in training was welcome. Just a very clean and comfortable place. Stay here.

• Elaine (8/5): - It was very clean and the staff was polite and accommodating. The bed was very comfortable. No place to unpack belongings except two tiny drawers that could maybe hold small items/underwear. Also a lamp on each night stand would be better. One side had a no lamp on the night stand but a floor lamp 5 feet away from the bed. Strange set up.
• H1120XGleog (6/5): Anchor Inn & Cottages Wells-Ogunquit - Check-in went smoothly and the staff were friendly, which was a great start. However, when we entered our room, we immediately noticed a musty smell — likely from mold or mildew — which was concerning. The room itself showed noticeable signs of age and could use some updates. Overall, our stay was okay, but the condition and smell of the room definitely took away from the experience.

• Miriam (10/5): Great! Highly recommend. - Cute motel. We had two nice sized bedrooms with kitchenette, couch and dining table. Beds were comfy. We were near end of first building near office. While you could hear a bit of noise from road with windows open, it was limited - and my spouse is very noise sensitive. The farther back buildings may not get any. What was really great was there was NO NOISE that came through from the units on either side. This place has great sound insulating walls. The entire place was full and completely quiet. Lots of grass and trees. Accepts dogs for reasonable one time fee. Staff great! It would be helpful to have hooks in bathroom to hang towels and someplace to hang clothes in bedrooms. Drawer space was excellent
• Meghann (8/5): - My husband, our dog & I enjoyed our stay in one of the cottages very much. The location is great - easy access to Wells & Ogunquit. Facilities were clean and well-lit.
• Patricia (4/5): - Pet friendly👍Booked a cabin that smelled musty and fake flowery. No screens on windows. Asked to change to hotel room. Windows wouldn’t open. Room was never serviced (3 days). We did finally ask someone walking by for towels/soap. Booked through 3rd party so couldn’t get cost difference reimbursed. Wouldn’t stay there again.

• Kevin (6/5): - Generally a go-to place - convenient and lower price. This time, room smelled like moth balls, I imagine a treatment for the many pets that stay here. It was my first time with it. If it happens again, I’ll move on to a different hotel.

• Erika (1/5): Glad we only stayed for one night - The property location was convenient - other than that, not great. Our room was dirty, empty, and very musty. The smell was very overwhelming, and the windows did not open at all. They were sealed shut, so we couldn’t do anything but leave the door open to air out the best we could, which wasn’t very convenient with two toddlers. The room was very outdated and dirty, not cozy whatsoever. Couch & beds were very uncomfortable. The pool hours on Booking.com were listed as open, but to our surprise, it was completely closed during our stay which was a huge bummer. I tried to reach out to staff but they have just been arguing with me about things, not sure I’d recommend here at all.
