No breakfast before 7….an airport hotel…many people have to leave the hotel before 9am but no accommodations same for shuttle . 4 staff out smoking no at desk . 100 euros for a lousy dinner if 2kabobs and 2orders of fries ..glass of house wine and a beer.avoid st all costs. Worse ever.

- Jane (10/5): Nice hotel minutes from Marseille Airport - This hotel is very clean . Reception was tidy as well as breakfast area. Shuttle was quick to take us from airport to hotel. Not located in main town center or near beaches. Dinner was excellent across street at another airport hotel. We ate outside on their pretty deck. Small room, but we only stayed one night a River cruise!

Retail shopping and access to multiple restaurants are not available in the immediate area. I found the staff to be impersonal and matter of fact in their interactions with me. - Marie (4/5): - This property has no safe in the room, no telephone. If you need to speak with the front desk you have to go to the lobby to do so. The breakfast was horrible, the scramble eggs looked too wet, the bacon was overcooked, the orange juice tasteless, diluted too much. The area around has nothing at all. It feels like you were in the middle of a desert. There was another Holiday Inn across that offers dinner. The service was a 1 star. The waitress brought the appetizer ( salad) with the entree at once. We handed up eating the salad very fast before the main course gets cold. I was in France, I thought the people there know better than that. Anyway my first time and my last time.

Towel rack could not be reached from shower because shower door blocked access to it; put a hook near shower door opening so bath towel can be hung outside shower door. Water and coffee cups upside down on unclean surfaces. Buy disposable cups in plastic wrap so they stay clean.

- Mary-Martha (2/5): A disappointing stay. - We have had excellent service in the past at HI Express in many countries around the world which is one of the reasons we chose this hotel. It also offered shuttle service from the train station and to the airport, both of which we needed. Breakfast was also included. Our disappointment started when we called for the shuttle as required and was told a 5 minute wait. After over 20 minutes we called again and we’re told 5 minutes “maybe”. When the shuttle finally arrived the driver stopped about 40 meters away and was not helpful initially in putting our luggage in the van. Later, when we could not get the tv sound to work, we called reception and were told someone was coming. After waiting 45 minutes we decided to go out to dinner and asked that someone come to our room when we returned. The problem was easily solved upon our return once we knew how to operate the unfamiliar remote but the reception clerk seemed annoyed to have to come and assist us. We arrived for breakfast shortly after 6 am to a lovely spread of a diverse menu of “hot” and cold items. Unfortunately the scrambled eggs were cold and the sausages were barely warm. All in all a disappointing stay. Won’t recommend this hotel.

My only knock is that the showers don't come with conditioner (just shampoo) and the front desk's technology wasn't able to print a receipt during an early departure (reason for choosing this hotel) and I had to wait until 6am to confirm email receipt of the same (after I had already left).

(though it was a bit harder than ideal to call from the airport, there is a phone booth in the terminal and an intercom-like system in the parking, but sometimes there was no answer) Still the shuttle arrived and the people were friendly and the hotel clean and comfortable.

One thing to note: airport pickup via shuttle is unreliable, even when calling, it takes forever for them to come even though it is only 5 minutes away. It is not walkable to get to the hotel from the airport. Communication between reception and driver needs to be improved substantially! Staff could be more aware and pro-active.

- Maria Corina (8/5): - Nice property and good rooms; we chose it since it’s vicinity to the airport and a navette to the airport is offered. Notwithstanding, the navette doesn’t work until 5:00 am so that should be advised and duly informed. We had to pay for a taxi.
- Liberty (4/5): - I could never explain the agony of trying to find this place. A scorching hot day, walking up and down endless roads with a heavy bag and a suitcase, up and down the same roads, bus drivers who had never heard of the place, Greet Hotel telling me to ‘just walk along the road’, the same road I’d already walked down twice before. There’s not a soul to be seen at the station on a Sunday and although buses are regular none of them had heard of Holiday Inn Express. One hour later, I saw a man sitting in a black vehicle and assumed he was a taxi driver. In desperation I went and knocked on his window. I asked if he was a taxi driver and he said no and asked where I wanted to go. When I told him he pointed ahead and said ‘There it is. Just walk down there.’ That’s when I laid eyes on a flag. Please, please put up some signs next to the station to avoid this happening to someone else. People assume that being an airport station it will be very busy with lots of staff. It isn’t. It’s a very small station that’s deserted on a Sunday. Nothing but steep steps and miles and miles of roads that lead to absolutely nowhere.

- MARGARET (8/5): - We did not know there was a Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express across the street from each other so I thought we were going to the holiday Inn with the pool but our "Express" did not have a pool. There was no shampoo in the shower, both were empty. Breakfast had penty good chioces but the eggs were very under cooked. There was no tv remote. The place was clean and comfortable Just OK place at decent price

True checkin is at 3 pm but when you get there at 2:45 and you still have to wait until 3:30 pm to get a room....it is a problem

They were kind and helpful with the language.
