- BRANDYE (6/5): - I was in town to support a coworker who was grieving the loss of her son, and unfortunately, the experience at this property added additional stress to an already devastating situation. The mother of the deceased child’s mother, sister-in-law, and infant grandchild were locked out of their room. Despite the urgency, no one was able to assist in regaining access, as the manager could not reach maintenance. By the next morning, the room was still inaccessible, leaving the grandmother unable to retrieve her clothing and, more critically, her medications. This delay prevented the family from preparing in time for the funeral service scheduled that morning. The situation escalated to the point where both the fire department and police were called. The fire officials determined the issue was caused by a faulty bolt, and the fire department had to force the door open. Even after this ordeal, the manager, Lee, stated that the guest would still be charged for the room—despite the fact that it was not usable for the duration of their stay. There was additional concerns.. but, this experience was deeply disappointing since this brand promotes family, value, comfort and hospitality.

I was at a conference and I was not given the conference rate. The only valuable feature about this hotel was the indoor pool and spa with workout room and on my second day it was closed for maintenance. They have a in house restaurant which is very pricey and does not match with the quality of the rooms. They was not breakfast included so between the condition of the room and no extra features available on my stay. It was way overpriced

Not advised until check out (invoice reflected higher rate by $81). Mgmt unwilling to resolve and honor discounted rate. Food served at adjoining restaurant is fantastic, but cost is not included with hotel room rate. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are at option of guest but published room rates do not reflect that meals are not included with room. Discounted prices at restaurant for hotel guests are not available.

- 288summers (10/5): Amazing! - I spend most of my time in hotels, I’m a flight attendant. This hotel, & this staff is by far the best I’ve ever experienced. In a world where most people only complain, I’m here to sing their praises. Allison, at the front desk, Nick, also front desk, are the most kind people I’ve ever encountered in this industry. I appreciate y’all, Zach and Valerie drove our shuttles, they too are awesome! I appreciate the hospitality, the accommodating and all of your hard work! All of you made an incredibly long and exhausting day way more tolerable! It’s rare that anyone goes above and beyond anymore. So, THANK YOU, I hope to see you all soon. Grateful, Misti Lageman
- amskjd2000 (8/5): Interesting Start to Stay - Very nice and clean hotel. We had never stayed here, but found the hotel in a good location. While we did not eat at the in-hotel steak house, it seemed very busy. I will say upon entering the hotel a customer and the front desk clerk, Nick, were having a very heated argument. One that eventually had the police show up. While I won't get into the details, I tend to side with the customer. Nick did not do anything to deescalate the situation and met the customer's loud voice with one of his own. I simply think this could have been handled much better. Frankly, it was not how I hoped our stay would start off.

We used the banquet room and catered from the steakhouse and it was great. The front lobby staff, especially Valarie, made our experience outstanding. We would definitely recommend this hotel and will be staying here next year.

- Winona (8/5): - Great clean hotel with a steak house onsite. Stayed here on Valentine's day weekend. Staff was very accommodating and answered all my questions. I enjoyed having the option to get dressed for dinner and being able to walk downstairs to enjoy dinner reservations at Johnny's Steakhouse without having to hassle with the snow and freezing temperatures outside. I would stay here again when Im in town.

I enjoyed my week stay housekeeping stops by everyday and always checks to see if you need anything. But, if you miss them the front desk staff is quick to accommodate your needs as well. Great hotel and staff. I recommend this hotel for long or short stays if you are in East Peoria.
- Kristen (8/5): - Booked our stay here by accident, was going for HIExpress. The hotel was lovely, but we weren't here on leisure and the breakfast was $13. I'd rather pay more and have the meal included. We were only here for 1 night, so not long enough to appreciate any amenities. Convenient location.
- Wendy (8/5): - The hotel itself is lovely and front desk staff were excellent. However there were issues with rooms being too hot. The thermostats did not work properly. I had to get another room and I saw another guest ask for another room as well, as both rooms were at 80 degrees with no way to change the temperature. The second room I got was slightly better but still too warm at 75 degrees, again with no way to change or regulate it. That was the only flaw in the stay. Otherwise the room was clean, quiet and very comfortable.

- BotticelliDiv (10/5): Fantastic staff at the hotel makes a stay here an A+! - I had a most delightful stay at the Holiday Inn & Suites in East Peoria -- specifically the location on Holiday Street : ) I arrived at the hotel quite early on my day to check-in, and was utterly exhausted as I entered the hotel having had to awaken at 3 am on the east coast to catch a 6 am flight to Chicago, then connect to Peoria. Needless to say, Nick took pity on me and we struck up a conversation....he found a room for me, and throughout the first day of my stay, I saw him a few times in the lobby....such a positive force for good and hospitality. I spent two nights in the hotel on a business trip, and EVERY employee had the same can-do spirit and helpful nature as Nick demonstrated. I cannot recommend this hotel more strongly based on the experience of the staff, cleanliness of the property, and accessibility to major highways around Peoria. It is also located within 1/2 mile of many popular chain restaurants that offer something for every taste.

- Matthew (8/5): - We enjoyed the hotel overall. Great layout in our bedroom suite. Friendly staff. Pool was nice. Kind of dirty the first day but clean the second day. The hot tub was out of service. It took 10 minutes of running the shower to get any warm water then was never really hot. The mattress in the pullout couch was so thin t our kids couldn’t sleep on it. All the springs poked at them. They weee able to sleep in the couch though rather than the pullout mattress.
- vickig803 (10/5): The staff here is amazing! - My Sewing Guild came to spend 3 days sewing. We rent a ballroom & we are treated like royalty. The room is perfect, fresh coffee is brought to us each day. We have thank Tim for this. He goes above and beyond. Thanks to Eric, our server for dinner.

- Webo1966 (2/5): What has happened? - They had a water supply issue that meant there was no hot water or restaurant service . This is not the annoying issue. The issue was that they had the problem when I checked in, with no line of sight to having it fixed until the following day and didn’t tell me about it. Quite a few others I spoke with were in the same situation. No one was happy. If I had known I was going to have a cold shower with little pressure, I would have found another hotel. The real problem is that they have no management available outside business hours, to make decisions. The staff on duty have limited authority and we’re totally overwhelmed. Pick up your game East Peoria Holiday Inn in that past 12 months you have been spiralling down at a great rate of knots. You are not the only hotel in the area.

- Dallas (4/5): - The a/c wouldn’t allow us to turn it down and we asked and they said there was a cap on how low it could be. It was beyond hot in the room and could barely sleep, wouldn’t allow us to switch rooms since I didn’t book directly with the hotel.

- Jessie (7/5): Good - The front desk woman told us that the room we booked online (2 queen beds + sofa bed) was not available so she upgraded us to a suite which was nice. Kind of. The king bed was great for three of us but we had 3 others who were able to make the sofa bed and sofa work even though they conceded that the sofa bed was pretty uncomfortable. The bathroom in the suite was awesome although we didn't use the giant tub because it takes too long to fill. I did attempt to fill it but I had to fix the drain first. Apparently one of the previous guests had gotten a tiny plastic orca whale jammed into the drain lol. You couldn't see it at first but while I was fixing the drain mechanism I found it lol. You can't make this stuff up 😂. AND...... unfortunately upon entering the room there was poop in the toilet of the smaller bathroom. I am a mom and a nurse so I deal with poop a lot but it was pretty gross because it was all soggy and like a poop stew in the toilet. I did not tell the front desk lady because the rest of the room was clean and what can be done, really, except flush the toilet?! And it was late and we had to leave super early. I didn't want to complain to the front desk lady because she was nice, maybe the housekeeper had to poo and forgot to flush...idk. Poop stew in the toilet.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Just Okay - We had a good stay. The hotel lobby is very impressive. The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is located close to shopping and the highway, so it's very conveniently located. Overall my room was okay but the bed was not as comfy as I'm used to at an IHG and the housekeeping did not come to our room after we requested it and it was confirmed it would happen. We left for the day and came back to an unclean room. I called the front desk and they were very accommodating and brought up some extra towels but the extra towels were a bit dingy. When housekeeping came the following day they left some used bedding in a corner of the room and did not leave extra towels but did leave a note saying to reuse our towels. There was no complimentary water as I am used to in IHG hotels. I do recall upon check in the gentleman at the front desk inform me that this particular IHG was considered a boutique IHG. Not sure if this has anything to do with the services but I think it's worth mentioning. The undersides of the cushion on the sofa sleeper also had some minimal staining.

- Marilyn (8/5): Overall, would recommend staying there! - It was clean. Children loved pool and adults enjoyed the whirlpool and fitness center. Plenty of room in family suite. There were three adults and two children and only two each of washcloth hand towel. and bath towels. Also why not give each adult who is paying a breakfast ticket.
- F2672BYderekc (6/5): Good but not great - I stayed here 5 days for business and it was ok. Had been here previously in 2019 and it seems not much has changed except a few light bulbs. The gym is great though. Good equipment options if you get there at the right time. New for me is I never knew Americans drank coke in bed or in the bathroom until I stayed here and saw the coke splashes everywhere in my room. Good house keeping though, replacing towels and ammenities efficiently.

- BobT896 (2/5): Rude - As a Diamond Elite member I stay at IHG properties all over the US and seldom have issues. That being said this hotel is an exception. We came back to our room on the second evening of our stay and the room was not touched. No towels, beds unmade, trash not taken away and condiments not replenished. When I called the front desk and spoke to Nick he rudely informed me that had to be requested before 8AM. Really??? I haven’t seen this before a thing anywhere for at least two years. Bypass this property and go somewhere you’re getting the service you’re paying for.

- Amber (6/5): Just okay experisnce - It was very loud due to a wedding party. We were in the 6 th floor and can heard the music from the 1st floor party room, not very good sound proof. Also we had someone vaping in our floor and not a good smell. We waited to see if they would stop but after 30 min it kept going strong. We ask if we could change rooms and we had no problem.

I only had three complaints; 1) the pillows are down and super flat. 2) the elevator and hallways need vacuumed daily. 3) there was no mattress pad on the bed and it had a stained sheet. I do think the sheet was clean, but I did not smell it! Otherwise our room was spotless

The room was everything we needed,very spacious. Would stay again and recommend. There was a computer glitch that tried to charge me again but they said I would not get charged it was only pending in my bank. At check out was told it will be taken care of. Just as a single mom it did scare me .

- Joshua (2/5): The front desk clerk was the best part of our stay at this hotel. He deserves a raise. - The breakfast was very good. It had a variety of breakfast items to cater to each guest. The way the breakfast was setup it flowed very nicely and there was no waiting in line. We arrived at the hotel around 4:00 pm or just shortly after which was check-in time. I walked to the counter and spoke with a very friendly gentleman who started checking us in. The clerk said unfortunately the room we booked was not clean yet and it was the only room of that kind in the hotel. He said if we would like to have a seat he would contact housekeeping and see how long the wait was going to be. After waiting about 15 minutes we told the clerk that we were going to take our children for a ride around the city and would be back. The clerk said to check back in about an hour to see if the room was clean. We arrived back at the hotel just before 6:00 pm and we were finally able to check in. We entered the room and everything appeared to be in order. A short time later my 8 year old son came to me and said that there was something on his bed sheet. My wife and I looked at the sheet and it appeared to be a urine stain. It only got worse from that point. My children began noticing red stains all over the carpet in the bedrooms, near the kitchen, and in the living room. Numerous pillow cases were stained with an unknown substance. My wife went to take a shower and noticed that the towel she picked up was stained and there was brownish black substances on the shower wall and in the tub. After spending almost 8 hours in a car and no other rooms that would fit our family we had no other option than to stay the night. We did take numerous photos of the room. When we went to checkout the next morning I spoke with the front desk clerk and explained to him the issues that we experienced. The clerk did apologize and then asked if I was an IHG member. I told him I wasn't, he offered me points. I attempted to contact the hotel GM twice via phone and once via email, but he has failed to respond.
