Guest Reviews
- Denise (10/5): - Staff was wonderful, very friendly,
- SHERENE (10/5): - Nice
- Ndieme (10/5): - Love it and will definitely recommend my client as a travel agent. Appreciated
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cathleen (8/5): - No fault of the staff, but the customer that checked in before me really smelled up the lobby of pot. ☹️
- Nicole (10/5): Exceptional - The room was big Nothing
- Whitney (4/5): - Upon check in, staff was rude about the reason my children and I were staying, she also asked for a card to put on file for damages, but then preauthorized $100 on the card. Upon getting into the room, the cups in the cupboard were full of food and debri, when I took them to the front desk for new ones, she insisted she couldn’t give them to me at the desk and had to bring them to my room later, not only was that uncomfortable as we weren’t even settled, but she was looking all around the room when she came up. Once we used the ice cold pool, we went to take showers, only to discover the shampoo, and body wash was locked in the holder on the wall in the shower and unusable. Upon getting out of the shower, my daughter stepped on something sharp. Looking down at the floor, I notice a tack strip exposed on the floor between carpet and bathroom floor. I brought these issues up to manager as this is unacceptable and she said sorry. That’s it. I paid $150 for a room with all these issues, and unprofessional behavior of staff. Completely unacceptable. I will not book with Marriott Bonvoy again. I am beyond upset and disappointed to spend this kind of money on a room for my family from out of town to be let down.
- Leilani (1/5): Bad - It was clean Lousy breakfast, very small room, not handicap accessible at all
- Amber (10/5): brownies - took my kids for get away staff was amazing rooms are ammazing we baked brownies in the room borrowed a hand mixer from front desk. pool area was great.best free breakfast i have had at any hotel so many hot options
- William (10/5): Nice hotel with the best all round staff I have ever encountered - The staff at this hotel are outstanding Update furniture in room and better tv in livingroom
- Tanesha (8/5): Very good -
- Connie (10/5): Perfect - Staff and accommodations Bath to small
- Sylvia (6/5): Birthday gift for my sister - The pull out couch was filthy.
- Edward (10/5): - No comparison with the treatment we received at the Fairmont Hotel. That issue will be dealt with next week.
- Heather (7/5): Could have been better but not the worst. - Location was central to many businesses and restaurants. The bed was comfortable and room was clean and had a kitchen if I wanted as well as guest laundry facilities, which were the biggest reason I chose this location. While the room was clean there were lingering cooking/food odors, maybe have charcoal air fresheners or UV lights in the ventilation to remove those. I eventually got used to the odor but if I left the room it was all new every time. The bed didn’t have a mattress pad, it was a sheet directly on the mattress, I didn’t see anything suspicious but that’s kind of gross and a necessity hygienic measure. The tv didn’t work and when I asked at the desk why it wasn’t working she informed me it was satellite and was out due to the weather and to keep checking. The tv’s on the ground floor were working but not my room on the second floor. I’m glad it was only an overnight stay because it never started working.
- Madeline (10/5): - I loved the kitchen and the layout of the room.
- Christa (8/5): Very good -
- Angelic (10/5): Exceptional -
- Naee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Frank (7/5): Good stay - Great staff. Room could have been cleaner.
- Dale (8/5): Very good -
- Jeff (2/5): Worst hotel I've ever stayed in! - There were dirty wash clothes hanging in the shower and a pile of dirty towels shoved in the corner of the bathtub, and a dirty rubber glove. The coffee pot looked like it's never been cleaned, there was mildew in the bathtub and no body wash. There were leaves on the floor. And no USB plugs. I have photos but the site won't let me add them
- Kristine (9/5): Superb -
- Deborah (10/5): Nice place - Nice place, pool was freezing couldn’t even stand with feet on first stair, no wash cloths in bathroom and only 2 hand towels otherwise it’s a nice motel
- Kaitlin (10/5): Wonderful hotel stay-home away from home - The room was very comfortable and convenient. I loved the full kitchen.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful!
One suggestion would be to warm the pool up.
- Alex (6/5): - The couch looked pretty worn and dirty. Same for the pullout bed. I wish the listing had the sizes of the beds. I assumed it was a Queen, but it was much smaller. There is not enough room for two tall adults on the bed. The shower drained slowly, and there was no bathroom fan. The rooms are large and pretty soundproof. The work area had plenty of space for several monitors. Breakfast was great, workout room was fine.
- Carol (10/5): - Staff was very nice.
Our room was well appointed, clean. Breakfast was great. Nice area to eat. Pool too cold, hall carpet worn
- Dawn (10/5): - Room was pretty clean, bed very comfy! Carpet looking a little tattered. Best part was the front seat gal on duty. She was awesome!!! Extremely friendly, great about suggestions for dinner. Asking what brought us into the area… AND , it was all genuine.. she deserves recognition from management at that location, but I can’t remember her name! 😒
- Stanley (10/5): - Staff was super friendly, close to downtown and places to eat
- Christina (6/5): - This was the first time we have ever had any issues. The staff was overall nice, we went in expecting to pay a price as we booked online, then the hotel charged us as if we booked with them that day, and then, when checking in staff member didn't give info on dog charges, Just asked if our dog was a service dog by chance, after we had already checked in. I said no and she said, oh okay. When checking out and asking about the price differnce, we were told it is a "HOLDING FEE" which was wrong. The room wasnt clean, the bed was a full sized bed not queen or king as stated, Overall not happy. We have 2 charges that are different amounts for the room. We were advised to call Manager. We will not be back.
- Jeston (2/5): - For the amount of money I paid it was horrible will never stay there again you can hear everyone and everything plus I had to put $300 deposit down for a trash hotel I slept barely and left 2 hours before check out never again but to mention the roof was leaking in the lobby.
- Diana (8/5): - Staff were very friendly and accomodating!
- Lynne (8/5): - Really liked the kitchenette/dining area
- Christopher (8/5): - Not applicable
- Kayleigh (10/5): - It was extremely nice!! The girl at the front desk on midnights (8/10-8/11) is so awesome!! She was very kind, organized, and efficient!
- Jean (10/5): Satisfied customer - The receptionist was very attentive. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. The breakfast had several options and was all good. Needed more wash clothes in the room, but I should have asked for more. There were three of us and only two washcloths.
- Mr. (10/5): nice stay and updated facilities. -
- Michael (4/5): - Our bed had blood and bandaid wrappers on the sheets. The oven door was hanging off. The door stopper behind the entry door is broken and knocked into the wall. The pull out bed had a beer tab in it. Overall extremely unhappy with our stay
- Deborah (9/5): Superb -
- Ciara (10/5): Exceptional - The lady at the front desk was really nice.... my laptop was also left behind, and I Called in they found it for me
- Ericka (10/5): - Very nice hotel. I would have only wished to maybe check in a little earlier. Rooms were clean spacious
- Murielle (10/5): - Centrally located. Staff is very friendly and accommodating.
- Shameka (10/5): Exceptional -
- Serena (9/5): Superb - Very accommodating We found it very spacious and the staff was accommodating.
- Katherine (6/5): Less - Convenient location We booked a king room with a sleeper sofa for 3 occupants. The sleeper sofa was full of crumbs and was in such bad shape that a spring bounced off when we opened it. The mattress was so old and thin that we ended up sleeping 3 across the king bed.
- Ljubisa (10/5): - Excellent service
- A (9/5): Superb -
- Cathy (9/5): Superb - Space The kids running in the hallway
- Theresa (8/5): Still a worthwhile stay - my wife has stayed there before while visiting family and always loved this location. Even she could see that it was not quite as clean nor comfortable. I was welcomed by Sheldon (?) when I checked in. Very hospitable, informative and great guy. He offered up a ton of great information. Breakfast was superb. Room was somewhat dated. Washcloth (only 1 provided) was stained (old stain) and general room cleaning (are of walls by the door where most people don't even look) was somewhat lacking. Also, even though a wall thermostat, very hard to keep the room comfortable...even set at 64, very warm.
- George (10/5): Exceptional -
- Judy (9/5): Well worth the money - The breakfast was great The kitchen staff was on top of their game The room was well appointed & comfortable The furniture was dirty It either needs replacement or cleaning
- Tracy (10/5): - covered all our travel needs and will return again
- Anonymous (10/5): We had a relaxing sleep and great breakfast for a quick trip to town. - Check-in and check-out were so easy. Facility was very clean, and the breakfast was hot and tasty. We found a hair extension/braid looped into one of the metal circles of our floor lamp in our room. A little gross, but the room was otherwise very clean.
- Maris A (10/5): Could not ask for anything more! - Friendly staff, hot breakfast, comfy suite with kitchenette, pet friendly, convenient location, and indoor pool. Could not ask for anything more!

- Susan (9/5): It was comfortable and clean. The room was very spacious. - Close to where we needed to be Breakfast was not very good
- Sara (10/5): - Had everything we would need and made our stay during this tournament so easy.
- Annette (8/5): - Our only complaint is you’s being PET FRIENDLY which we loved was the carpeting!! Carpeting isn’t appropriate with pets..
- Alessandro (10/5): - Well located and clean. The room had all we needed
- Diane (10/5): Nice Place - We always enjoy staying at the Towneplace Suites.
- Chris (10/5): Wonderful place to stay and relax - Great newer construction hotel with beautiful, clean, and spacious room. Lots of stores, parks, and restaurants nearby and really easy to get to. The staff was amazing and breakfast was pretty good too. The images that are posted online are exactly what the room looked like! Sometimes the room looks better on the website, but ours matched exactly. I'm not sure what could have been better since our stay was stress free.
- Debra (2/5): - Apologize I meant to have a smiley face!
Everything was great!!!
- Joann (10/5): We especially appreciated the fact that the bedroom suite had a door to close from the living area. - It was sufficient for the day. Good variety. There might have been a couple choices for coffee strength.
- Hines (10/5): Excellent choice - I loved how quiet the doors are and how the front desk associate was so sweet and friendly to me. I loved the breakfast with the fresh food and clean room and spaces outside. I loved the patio to sit and the cable tv along with the tub. The price was high for me
- Timothy (10/5): Clean and friendly. - From checking in to seeing to the room easy. friendly and clean. Gave great ideas what to do in the area and was able to fix a problem with the tv. will definitely be back.
- Donald (4/5): - We booked a kings sized bed room that was heavily smoked in. The front desk switched us to a full sized bed room which was the only other room available.
- Erica (10/5): Perfect - Everything
- Emmitt D (8/5): - The room was like a miniature apartment with having a kitchenette was convenient. It would have been perfect if it had a convection oven instead of microwave.
- Misty (10/5): Absolutely wonderful just needs a hot tub - The beds are comfortable, it’s an excellent location close SVSU COLLEGE!!! The staff is exceptional and very nice great place to stay!!! They need a hot tub
- Christine (6/5): - Room wasn’t very clean. Dirty shower curtain. Kitchen has warped cabinets and significant damage. Carpet was dirty. Dust in all the corners and food under the bed to name a few. Shampoo and soap were empty in the shower as well.

- LaTiecia (10/5): - The New front desk manager went above and beyond to show me the room and explain a scent that she thought might have been a problem. Very professional and about her business.
- Mr. (10/5): Exceptional - breakfast was ok. great stay for us.
- Eddie (10/5): Exceptional -

- Theresa (10/5): Friendly staff clean rooms and nice breakfast - very clean nice spacious rooms n/a
- Laurie (8/5): - Nice
- PATRICIA (4/5): - The couch that reverts into bed in our room and also in my son room was filthy. Everything else was great.
- Donna (10/5): Excellent Stay - Friendly staff, location, price, free breakfast, room itself- kitchenette, office area, king bed, storage, tv with free HBO, Showtime, Amazon, etc , bathroom with large counter space. No tissues, which most hotels provide, no bath mat
- jennine (10/5): - Super comfortable beds! Slept awesome.
- Patty (10/5): - When it comes to hotel stays we are usually have reservations about trying someplace new. The Townplace Suites were everything, and more when it comes to providing a traveler's needs. From the warm welcome from Vickie, the manager, to the young lady, Priscilla, who makes sure breakfast is fully stocked, our stay was the absolute best.
The rooms were clean, and we'll appointed, the indoor pool was a nice respite from the winter weather, and the lobby area was a comfortable place for us to visit with our guests whom we were in Saginaw to see.
I also would like to give a shout out to all the staff who were always smiling, but especially Marissa and Caleb, who gladly take care of our every request.
Thank you, we highly recommend, and will stay here again.
