Very well stocked hot breakfast with different items daily. Room were very clean and well stocked hot breakfast,bed comfortable. Renovation has started on the 4 th floor signage states may be noise at times , we only heard it one time when they were working rite over our room. Ample parking and well lit. I would highly recommend staying here , great value for the money. Will definitely stay again.staff always treats guest with respect and on a first name basis. Food and shopping nearby has room for large vehicle parking. This is a cozy place in the center of it all ,without all the noise and chaos of daily living. Great views from high up top the hill.

The front staff lady was not friendly at all. When I had called a couple days prior to my stay, the gal on the phone was extremely polite & helpful. The day of my arrival the lady at the desk acted like I was bothering her even though I was the ONLY person in the lobby. Same person was there when I left. I laid the keys on the counter & she never said a word. She was talking to someone but could easily said thanks, good-bye, have a good day, Something. I think you can do much better than that. She obviously doesn’t care for her job.

She welcomed us as if we were family and made us feel at home! The next day Pricilla was great! She made us feel right at home as well and took care of our needs Room was clean and spacious! Breakfast was great as well next time we are in area we will be staying here!

Christina (9/5): - The room was incredibly clean and the location was very convenient for functions we had in Wheeling, WV. Very nice place at an incredibly reasonable rate. The front desk made excuses for not having cookies baked. It's not that I needed a cookie, but don't advertise that you always have them in the lobby. They said that they had numerous check ins coming, so they couldn't prepare them. Seems to me that a hotel would always have numerous people checking in 😉

April (10/5): My new go to hotel - This is now my go to hotel. Priscilla is such a wonderful person. She's very easy to talk to and was extremely helpful. I ended up having a good 30 minute conversation with her. Ms. Pearl was also wonderful. Her personality just makes you want to laugh. She was also helpful with the late check out. When I come back in December I hope Priscilla and Ms. Pearl will be there. What I didn't like was nothing too major. Maybe in the future, the washers can be switched to top loads. Front load washers seems to take longer with the wash cycles and they can also be bad for people with (lower) back issues. I noticed that the serving utensils for the hot breakfast items where being cross contaminated. Some of the guests where using the same utensils for all three of the hot breakfast items. I do have a food allergy (one of my food allergies is I can't eat yellow cheese), so I was unable to eat breakfast Tuesday morning. As a person who teaches ServSafe and is also a soon to be health inspector, I'm just asking that the staff please try to be more aware of the guests using the breakfast utensils.

Boom lift outside our window woke us up early. The rooms were outdated and in need of cosmetic repairs. The rooms smelled musty. It was confusing the get to the motel because you had to drive through the parking lot of another motel to get to it. Also, I reserved 2 queen beds and received a king bed and full sized bed without being told of the change.

The hairdryer was dirty and covered in hair and there was no ironing board in the room. The AC worked well and the room worked for somewhere to lay my head. I stay in Saint Clairsville about once a year and probably won’t be back here.
Kevin (6/5): - Disappointing. I chose this over cheeper options nearby because I've usually had good experiences at Microtels. Our room was generally acceptable except the following: the carpet had too many gross stains, the stool evidently ran all night and then wouldn't flush initially this morning (I took off the back and got it to work), there was a house centipede in the bathroom sink, and there was an old chunk of caulk laying on the edge of the shower. I shared these issues with the woman at checkout and she was minimally apologetic. On the positive side, the women at check-in was super friendly and the breakfast was especially good for what it was.
