The cottages are spacious and comfortable. The staff, in all departments, are warm, hospitable and knowledgeable. This is especially true of those who lead the nature visits. The resort also offers Ayurvedic therapies. We availed ourselves of a session and found the workers there to be incredible skilled and friendly. The restaurant offers an amazing breakfast buffet and excellent dinner choices. The restaurant staff are courteous and helpful. We very highly recommend the Marari Beach Resort for anyone seeking a peaceful environment.
- Nishat (8/5): - Excellent séjour Le service au petit déjeuner est à améliorer
- Anna (10/5): Highly recommend - Exceeded expectations. Staff were great - best I’ve experienced in many travels around India. The food offering was extremely good and the property was comfortable and beautiful.

- Julia (8/5): An oasis of calm and beauty - Staff were amazing. Food was good at the main restaurant, the beach grill was wonderful but I feel for the prices charged then you should have more options as side dishes. All lovely, I think the only grumble would be the awful music ( pop music more suited to Mikanos!)
Would be better with something a little more subtle that is in keeping
- Jean-Baptiste (8/5): - Le lieu agréable et calme. La belle et grande piscine. Le personnel sympathique. Les restaurants de bon niveau. Le manque de personnel à la piscine, uniquement un sauveteur. Un bar serait appréciable.
- Amanda (10/5): Excellent stay highly recommend - Great stay here, very quiet and spacious. There is a large pool and sunbeds, very relaxing atmosphere. We used the spa which offered lots of different options. The rooms were immaculately clean, good air conditioning ands very comfortable. Excellent location on the beach but sea was too rough for swimming. Friendly and helpful staff. The choice of drinks at the pool was limited and service a little slow.
- Kripa (10/5): Bliss and surely visiting again - It’s home away from home the serene set up with warmth of staff and excellent food is just magical..
Very peaceful and if one needs to a getaway from hustle bustle of daily life this is the place to be…
- Sightsee68689558809 (8/5): Great stay overall with one service lapse - We stayed for three nights in August 2025 and had a great experience overall. The service from the staff was excellent, and the food at the local kitchen was truly amazing. I would also like to give a special thanks to the beach guards for their great work.
The reason for my four-star rating is due to a single incident. While traveling with a senior citizen and a two-year-old in the rain, I requested a cart to the restaurant. The staff member initially refused. Upon insisting she eventually agreed, however the cart never arrived. We ended up having to walk to the distant restaurant in the rain while carrying the child. I believe the team needs better training on this, or the policy regarding cart availability should be clearly communicated at check-in.
- travelindia09 (10/5): An ayurvedic retreat in the lap of Nature - What started as an Ayurvedic revitalization retreat turned into so much more ... by virtue of the fantastic property , the above par amenities and the service standards of the staff.
Marari stays with you as an idyllic yet eventful resort that lingers in memories days after you've left it.
The food at the restaurant was truly delicious with a spread that suited everyone's palate. The property with its beautiful beach, remarkable sunsets, captivating pool, homely villas, Ayurvedic treatments and oneness with Nature were just superb.
A beautiful property which deserves all the stars it gets..
- ErikLaenens (10/5): Nice location, spacious resort, friendly staff - Wonderful location, spacious resort.
Each room is separate which gives the resort a very quiet atmosphere.
Several restaurants to different tastes.
Big pool, beach access.
Most of all very friendly staff ( Rahul & team @beach grill for example ).
Housekeeping. Front of house etc are all equally friendly and helpful
- Srinivas Reddy (10/5): WOWWWWWWWW - Great holiday , if you want to have a relaxed holiday with beach with and excellent food I recommend this property .Beach is neat and away from the regular crowd, pool is amazing . evert thing about the property

- SupplyChainMan (10/5): Southern India in style - The CGH group are remarkable for their standards of comfort and service. We have stayed at 3 of their properties and have enjoyed everyone. Staff are well trained and any minor problems are dealt with immediately with no fuss.
The food is an excellent summary of local food and we have enjoyed that journey also.
- RichardT4466 (10/5): Unwind by the sea - Very comfortable villas and staff that really look after you. The best food we ate at the hotel was the lunchtime "beach cafe", run by the local ladies. We'd really recommend booking this for lunch during your stay, lovely homestyle food that really had the edge over the more generic restaurant dishes on offer.
- chowattukunnel (10/5): - Just a lovely place
- georgejay01 (10/5): Slice of paradise - Loved our stay here. It’s an amazing location and well thought out complex. At the end of a busy holiday was just what was needed. Highlights included seeing dolphins on three separate occasions. The owl spotting tour way more interesting than it sounds, guides very knowledgeable and friendly. Did it twice we enjoyed that much. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. The food was so varied, from the local ladies delicious cooked lunches, Fish shack for more intimate dinners to the amazing buffet food in the main restaurant. All recommended a try. Very happy about the no plastic, zero waste ethos. I wish there were more places so forward thinking.

- patrickm123 (10/5): Gluten-free heaven and much more - We have stayed here more times than I can count – certainly more than 20 – and the welcome for repeat guests is second to none. It’s a bit of a cliché for Indian hotels to tell their regular guests that they are “part of the family”, but here, on numerous occasions, we felt that we genuinely were. The tiniest details of our well-remembered likes and dislikes were remembered and time and again employees went the extra mile in ways that showed real warmth, way beyond simple commercial motives. When a hospital visit was needed for an X Ray, a senior member of staff came with us to take care of the bureaucracy.
Nowhere was the care more evident than in the efforts to which they went to facilitate my gluten-free diet. It was only a couple of years ago that I was diagnosed as coeliac, but I have already come to accept that eating out can involve a lot of compromise and often disappointment and anxiety. Not here, however!
Kerala isn’t the hardest place to eat gluten-free, as so much of the local cuisine is rice-focused, rather than wheat-based. But it’s usually at breakfast that it gets more difficult. Here, however, the regular buffet always had two kinds of very good “toastable” bread and some muffins, as well as the local dosas etc, of course.
Yet on top of this, the 24 year old head pastry chef Judesan decided to make it his personal mission to make GF breakfast pastries to a standard that I had always assumed to be technically impossible, because no one else seems ever to have managed it, whether in shops or hotels. The lightest imaginable Danish pastries, pains au chocolat, caramel-centred muffins, pancakes… things I thought I would never taste again.
And not content with this, the same genius started conjuring up the most incredible GF desserts, all of which my gluten-eating partner was entirely happy to enjoy, as none of them seemed to have been compromised by the lack of wheat. One or two were in fact so good that they could have sat on any Michelin-starred table!
From day to day, under the watchful eye of senior chefs Jerry and Sabib, other in the team also produced a wonderful selection of GF chapati-type breads for lunch and dinner, while a very junior chef Ajmal made an ever-changing range of chilled soups and salads for lunch, all safely within the diet restriction.
This doesn’t happen by accident. The entire culture of enthusiastic, warm and empathetic service stems form the general manager, Johny Tom, whose defining characteristics those are. Well, those and a determination to make this huge machine operate at a very high level.
- jsy444 (10/5): Fabulous staff - 3 nights here after touring Southern India. I was concerned about the outside bathrooms as they were terrible at a different CGH hotel. However these were fine, clean and with a fan to keep the insects away, along with incense sticks and plug in mossie killers. All the staff, without exception were smiling and friendly, super helpful and just looked happy to be there - well it is lovely! Very professional nature guide doing the owl walks. Bikes available. Super sized pool which was never very busy. Just as well as unfortunately the sea was far too rough to swim in. Big rooms, comfy beds and efficient aircon. Good breakfasts. Found the food pricy so in the evenings we ate at the beach places with our feet in the sand - bliss, and much more romantic than the hotel dining room!
- penelopestone (8/5): Pleasantly relaxing - Mamari Beach CGH Earth is a perfectly pleasant place to unwind for a few days after a busy itinerary exploring Southern India.
The location is excellent, being a short walk from an extremely long, clean, peaceful beach where you can walk, swim or just watch the egrets, ospreys, kites and local fishermen.
The resort seems a little tired and the restaurants and staff variable.
The main pool is huge and clean, with plentiful beach towels and comfortable sun-loungers but the poolside menu offered is very ordinary (design your own sandwich).
The main restaurant is divided into three areas and is designed to accommodate large group tours. The standard of food offered is fine but there is not much ambiance.
The Beach Grill is much smaller, more intimate and has great menu but do book ahead.
There is also a Beach Shack, which takes a while to serve fairly ordinary fare (pizza etc)
The rooms are quite dark as a function their structure and low lighting.
There is an emphasis on sustainability and conservative use of water, which didn't quite square with the groundsmen, who watered the grass all day long in full sun!

- Sean Dunstan (10/5): Fabulous, relaxing and very peaceful. - Well organised, peaceful, friendly staff who respected your privacy and personal wishes, going quietly about their work.
Wonderful grounds and a great bungalow and pool. Need to be aware that the sea is not particularly safe for swimming in this area. Lovely beach for walking though.
- luton (10/5): Great place for rest and relaxation. - Spent 4 days at this resort after a hectic 3 weeks travelling around India. This place was delightful and just wat we need to finish the trip off.
3 great restaurants, one serving both Indian and European dishes, one predominantly fresh fish and one a beach cafe serving pizzas, burgers etc.
The grounds were very well kept, leading down to the beach, which has lifeguards, as the warm water can be a little choppy. The pool was large and had its own small bar serving drinks & snacks.
The rooms were fantastic, we stayed in a bungalow with its own small pool, and it was clean, and well maintained, with and partially open air bathroom. Great AC, and a very comfortable bed. Thoroughly recommend this place.
- gastronautvic (10/5): Wonderful Stay - We stayed here for an extra five days at the end of a fairly hectic tour across sourthern India. What a wonderful place to unwind. All the staff were very attentive, friendly and obliging, nothing was ever too much trouble. The restaurants were all very good. They did serve Western dishes, but I can't vouch for the quality or authenticity as i didn’t try them. There are three restaurants on site, the star of which was the Beach Grill, (evenings), and at lunchtime became the Beach Cafe. The latter staffed by local ladies cooking local specialities. This was a real treat. Our bungalow was spacious, well-appointed, and very clean. Very good air con. As the name suggests, the hotel is on a lovely sandy beach, and they provide sun loungers, towels, and a lifeguard.
- N8717HXlynnm (8/5): Nice - Our rooms were beautiful with all home comforts and super comfy beds .Resort has large grounds , however they lack beauty and color Food was always cold . Nice pool area but not enough loungers for no of guests.Stunning beach but can’t be used as no umbrellas provided for shade .Amazing sunsets Various activities available. Sister resort Coconut Lagoon has a nicer atmosphere with hustle and bustle of the back waters and grounds bursting with colorful plants
- Y8138BSphilipd (10/5): A beautiful stay - We stayed 4 nights at Marari Beach and thought it sublime. The staff, food and pool was amazing. The beach is absolutely awesome and the rooms were very characterful, clean and spacious. We would certainly like to return a fantastic winter sun retreat from the UK.
- RichardAscot (8/5): Highly Recommended. - This is a great hotel with extremely friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are spacious with a fantastic outside bathroom . Options to sit by a large swimming pool or on the beach , which is pretty deserted with golden sands. Some interesting activities like looking for owls where we had the most enthusiastic naturalist. Breakfast ok - mainly Indian with an egg station. Service good but a bit erratic.
Special call out to the Beach Shack team where we had the friendliest service from Henock and the best jerk chicken I have ever tasted from Chef Ajmal👍👏
Just a short warning to check your dates if you like drinks at bars and dinner … On a 4 night stay , we had the ultimate nightmare (for me) of 2 Kerala dry days where there is only alcohol in your room 😔 One a Memorial Day and the other the first of the month ..
Try the seagull and ecstasy cafes on the beach .
- S5055QOannettem (8/5): Wonderful place - can be noisy - Starting point…We loved this place and probably would go back. Then….We had one of the bungalows with a private pool and it did seem we were nearest to the rather intrusive noise from the local temple! I know we were in India and I totally respect their customs - it was just that being woken by loud firecrackers and chanting very early in the morning plus services going on all day and evening it did start to get a bit much!
The friendliness, the beach, the cleanliness and the food were all brilliant. Afternoon tea in the garden needed a bit more infrastructure with their being too few tables and chairs plus some guests getting a bit bad tempered at having to queue so long to get their tea/snacks. It was nice to wander down to see the sunset from the beach and I felt there was a missed opportunity to better drum up customers at the beach shack by not doing a happy hour! The guy there playing the guitar beautifully was pretty much without any audience when we were passing.
Still, I would recommend this place!
- 723hilaryc (10/5): Mrs C - Wonderful hotel. Staff were very attentive. Breakfast and dinner, excellent. The grounds were beautifully kept, with lots going on, including tiffin! The rooms were extremely comfortable with an outside bathroom!
- ettemar (10/5): Excellent - This hotel is fantastic , it combines pleasant local architecture in exceptionally huge grounds , a relaxed ambiance, excellent service and delicious food. The large bungalow was immaculate, had plenty of storage space. I love the large outdoor bathroom.
The variety offered at the buffet is endless giving the opportunity to taste a wide range of dishes. I can understand why so many people come back year after year.
- O3920GHmarkp (10/5): Marari Magic! - Second time at Marari and still as good after 6 years. Lovely room, magnificent pool, great yoga, delicious food, wonderful staff. We can't wait to return! Make sure you make use of the Ladies Lunch in the Beach Restaurant and have an Ayurvedic massage in the spa.
- Isha (8/5): -
- Aditi (9/5): Expectional - Second time here. Perfect as before.
- MURALIGOPAL (8/5): All good excellent except lunch and dinner dishes quality - Facilities are wonderful
Service is wonderful The sea food in the property was horrible Beung CGH we thought it will keep ceratn standard. they seems lacking a preliminary knowledge on seafood .
Being most visitors are foreign they arewar bothered about the preparations
It will be all stless tasyeless boiiled ones
- Amanda (9/5): Lovely property on the beach with plenty to do (daytime) and excellent staff - Excellent staff, plenty of interesting activities - butterfly garden, owls etc, lovely beach. I pre booked a 1.5 hour guided cycle ride around the area which was scenic and fascinating. Very quiet in the evening, but that was fine for us.
- Andrew (10/5): Outstanding in all respects - does everything it claims to do - Exceptional facilities, excellent food and activities, especially led by the team of naturalists. A hotel which demonstrates its commitment to sustainability with huge integrity. And the best hotel bed we have ever slept in. But, as with all the best hotels, it is the people who make it great, and you won’t find better. Nothing
- simalib (10/5): Fantastic pool and good food choices - A lovely hotel with an excellent pool and lovely restaurants. A highlight for us was the Beach Grill where we had excellent fresh fish (tiger prawns and sea bream). We also had a great pizza at the Beach Shack (first European food in our trip). There isn’t much to do nearby so 3 nights was plenty for us as we are quite active and the sea was quite rough so we stayed by the pool. The villas are very relaxing and well equipped.
- Anu (10/5): -
- Jane (10/5): A perfect resort experience - Great food that catered for all tastes, luxurious resort experience & service Yoga was too early at 7am- later class would be great (but this was not a major issue)
- Paul (9/5): A fab place to stay we loved it - Its setting was beautiful and well cared for. So nice to have the beach and pool facilities. It was well organised and thought out. The food was excellent. We loved our private pool and the facilities it offered us. Nothing. The sea has a strong pull and is quite steep. Not suitable for weak swimmers, young children or elderly
- Vera (10/5): Restful and healing - Location, gardens, beach, food and out standing Ayurveda center
- Robert (10/5): -
- Gary (10/5): -
- Thomas Anil (10/5): Would love to come again! - All the nature options like owl watching, the butterfly garden, the beach. The cottages were amazing! The food was incredible! The pool was awesome, as well. There was nothing to dislike.
- Siddhant (10/5): -
- Anurag (10/5): Relaxing, peaceful and comfortable - Outstanding location, great staff, food was great and the most peaceful, restful location None it was stunning
- Girish (9/5): We loved our stay. Your staff were very professional and helpful. Specially Mr Anandu took great care and even got medic - Excellent property. Well thought through and very well run Nothing
- Rosey (10/5): -
- Twinkle (10/5): -
- Kelvin Macdonald (10/5): - The serenity, location and staff.
- Alice (10/5): -
- Chantalward (10/5): Peaceful place - A quiet and peaceful place for a few days retreat. Beautiful spacious bungalow accommodation, sparkling clean, with small outdoor sitting. Large open the the sky bathroom.
Vast gardens with vegetables and butterflies area, leading to the sandy deserted beach. Superb restaurant and amazing buffet food.
Large swimming pool with sitting area.
- Nonloso (10/5): Paradise! - The hotel is in a beautiful location with lush greenery and palm trees. The swimming pool is huge. The beach is lovely - huge and deserted. The sea is a bit rough but there is always a lifeguard on duty.
The rooms are in individual bungalows which are very spacious and well-appointed. The outside bathroom was fun.
The food was OK but expensive.
- RAJESH (1/5): Worse experience - The property is a fraud they shall not refund any money which they took by charging my card without knowing and have been waiting for refund since 25 days and no response from the hotel or booking.com the both don’t respect Indian guest.
The whole hotel staff and management will only be running around the foreign guests and didn’t attend Indian guests The management they are fraud if any money has been left for the property to refund the will not bother or be responsible for paying even after 25 days
This hotel management and staff will only run around all the foreign guests .
- Kastur (7/5): - The poolside area was very nice. Maybe on the beach there should have been some umbrellas. The food was generally good. Mosquitoes
- 121louisew (6/5): Needs attention - I totally agree with the last review. Accommodation was excellent, a villa with a pool. Room service was a great miss as the restaurants lacked atmosphere and all the staff need training. The food was cold and very average. There was a general feel of neglect, rubbish on the ground , weeds in the pathways. Someone needs to manage this hotel and getting it operating efficiently.
The Ayurvedic centre was depressing and again as the previous review very basic, needs updating, the staff though were very helpful.
- Daniel (8/5): Enjoyed our stay. - Nice open facility, very eco friendly Some of the bathroom fittings are a bit dates.
The quality of food at the grill needs improvement.
- babanna (9/5): -
- HelenT144 (6/5): Beautiful room, average hotel facilities - Really difficult review to write as our Villa (deluxe garden with pool) was amazing for the price point and the staff couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. We only ate breakfast in the main restaurant as I didn’t like it, dark & dismal with average service. Breakfast offering was limited. The beach shack/grill in the evening were both ok but with little atmosphere, there’s a general feeling of oppression rather than holiday high spirits. I accept that many come to birdwatch & appreciate the tranquility but for me there was just something missing. Our villa was so comfortable that I honestly think if room service had been available we might have just stayed there. Nobody really on the beach, with no real facilities and the pool
Looked like a municipal lido. We had two Ayurvedic massages and as well as the Ayurveda centre having the look and feel of a prison block, the massages left you feeling stripped of all dignity, no privacy curtains, no privacy towels, left totally naked on the bed, except for a very small paper loincloth that was removed during the session and girls wandering in and out from the corridor. I do accept that Ayurveda is not the same as other therapies but I do wish somebody had explained. The staff however, once again were lovely.
- travelphobic (8/5): Relaxing Resort - A great place to relax for a few days after our four weeks in India.
The resort is quiet and peaceful and surrounded by nature.
We had a pool villa which was spacious and spotlessly clean. There were some nice little touches such as citronella cream and incense sticks to help deal with the mosquitos.
We found the food to be a bit hit and miss. Breakfasts were always good. Lots of choice with delicious made to order dosas. We were disappointed with dinners in the main restaurant the meals we chose were not well executed. However the lunches at the Ladies Kitchen were amazing…among some of the best food we’ve had during our travels.
All of the staff we interacted with were warm, friendly and did their best to be helpful.
- Jackie (10/5): Simply paradise! - Lovely spacious cottages in beautiful grounds
Huge swimming pool and beach
Loved the food and wildlife
So many activities on offer
Such friendly and helpful staff
Especially our naturalist called Vishnu who was very knowledgeable and charming
Such a wonderful place to unwind
- SriramS186 (10/5): A Beautiful Blend of Nature, Comfort, and Warm Hospitality - A truly memorable stay at CGH Marari Beach! Exceptional hospitality, delicious food—both the buffet and à-la-carte—and personalised vegan options made every meal special. The villas and entire property were spotless, quiet, and peaceful, surrounded by lush greenery that kept us close to nature. We loved the Tea Cart, cultural shows, Earth Lab, Butterfly Garden, and the eco-friendly “Guardian of Nature.” The beach was beautiful and serene, and the lifeguard and security team made us feel safe. Ayurvedic treatments were excellent. Marari already calls us back!
- Akash.Mittal (10/5): The marari honeymoon - The staff and hospitality really stands out. Personalised care at dining, experiences and room services.
Beautifully maintained and very unique, with open and closed areas blending together.
Special requests and surprises for our honeymoon! No complaints
- Alice (9/5): Great stay, good resort and wonderful staff!! - The staff were so nice, they accommodated us arriving a day early. Food in restaurant was delicious. Also a cute library to borrow a book from. Some of the extra activities ie village tuk tuk tour were on the expensive side for what you get.
- Hiba (9/5): Very nice - Very authentic stay with real South Indian experience NA
- Carolin (10/5): -
- no1queenie (10/5): Paradise - This place is just wonderful. Every member of staff are friendly and helpful. There are so many details to make your stay perfect. The activities - yoga, nature walks, tea trolley, archery are all excellent, low key and beautifully delivered.
The resort has so many sustainable touches, butterfly garden, farm kitchen, ponds all over the site.
I can’t recommend this place highly enough it’s perfect
- Ghadeer2014 (10/5): Great “me” time - Marari beach resort CGH Earth
Sea-side resort in Mararikulam
.
This is my 1st solo trip to India. I stayed in Garden villa with private pool (49 m²) for 5 nights. The resort boasts a total of 62 villas.
My villa is comfortable with “well thought of” details and with a coconut leaf thatched roof for a village experience. The bathroom was well-designed, well kept and charming, despite being in open air.
No TV in room.
AC is available.
No Room dining.
.
Recycling:
The effort put in, is appreciated. Sustainable practices. Bins for paper plastic etc are everywhere. Bamboo tissues in room. Newspaper carrier bags, food served on bamboo leaf.
.
Dining was amazing. Buffet Breakfast is available at Chakara Restaurant, and you could join an open air authentic Kerala lunch preparation by local ladies at the beach grill cafe as well. I prefer Indian vegetarian flavors while dining. By the way, Tea Cart Service in the lawns (4-5 pm) is worth trying for Kerala tea.
.
Staff everywhere were nice, helpful and accommodating. Miss Jancy, the host of the day, was super helpful and informative. Mr. Alben from reception had great recommendations for day outings. Miss Sulabha from the spa, is a great therapist.
.
I had a great “me” time in this resort.
.
Bring insect repellent spray with you
.
See photos.
- FionaB249 (10/5): First class ! - Amazing !!
Have been travelling in India for the last 6 weeks and this was our final hotel before we returned home to Scotland. We certainly saved the best till last !!
The staff, food and accommodation has been superb.
There are plenty of activities in the hotel for all ages so you will never be bored. Because we have enjoyed the food in India so much and would love to recreate it when we got home, we decided to go along to the Farm Kitchen. This was a charged activity but certainly was good value for money. The evening started with being invited along to the hotel vegetable garden to collect the ingredients for your dishes. Divya was delightful, she was the chef that was demonstrating the recipes. She was great at explaining everything to us. After the demonstration part of the experience was to eat all of the dishes prepared. What an explosion of flavours. A real dining experience. Thanks to Divya and Preveen for making our evening so special. If you enjoy cooking and Indian food this is an activity that you should consider. After the meal we were presented with a recipe book and apron, what a lovely touch.
The Marari Beach Resort has been unforgettable and will certainly be returning home with lots of good memories.

- Lynne (9/5): Luxurious and magical - The bungalows with private pool were pricy but very special and so comfortable and relaxing. Really enjoyed the owl parliament with Sarath, the head naturalist, dolphins playing in the surf so close to the beach, early morning yoga, and the Farm Kitchen experience. Food was lovely - both in the main restaurant and Beach Grill seafood restaurant. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. One small suggestion would be to consider a form of light mosquito screening in the bathroom openings - we burned a lot of incense sticks and darted quickly in and out at night! But it wasn’t really a problem and it was lovely to shower immersed in nature.
- scamps-mum (10/5): Close to nature and Owls 😍 - I loved being so close to nature and not in a " hotel room" , the chalets were well equipped but needed to walk to main facilities.Perhaps not ideal for those with aversion to a few mossie's joining them. Swimming pool was amazing and loved the Owl walk given by Vishu (top tip: wear long trousers )
- julia78902017 (10/5): Five star everything - Beautiful place, lovely people, fab beach ( although sea swimming probably tricky but they do have a life guard), pool one of the best hotel pools I’ve ever been in or sat around.
We spent 2 nights here. We are not good at relaxing, sitting by a pool or on a beach. In fact my husband hates everything to do with a beach - sand, noisy people and crowds. I managed to get him there for an hour while this sun was setting. Major result. It’s a beautiful place. The night before we had dinner at the beach shack with the loudest thunderstorm ever. Amazing.
I hardly ever go in a pool. Normally too cold, weird shape, too crowded. This was the complete opposite.
The rooms, individual villas, are well decorated with lots of windows and loads of space.
Food fresh and varied. Probably one of the best breakfasts we had in our 2week stay touring Kerala. The prawn curry and buttered chicken were amazing.
Thank you Marari
- Alexandra (10/5): Superb stay - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this peaceful, quiet and eco oriented resort. You are surrounded by nature and greenery. The food was very good and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Private pool villa was superb. It would be good to have umbrellas/parasols at the beach
- popsp304 (10/5): Hospitality and service at its best - It's a few years since we last visited Marari and I'm delighted to say it's as magical as ever. We were treated as returning friends and it was lovely to meet up again with those we had met on earlier visits and at other CGH properties.
There is easy access to the beach and a wonderful mineral salt pool, great gardens, wildlife, and trees: not forgetting the mesmerising parliament of owls. If it's the personnel that make a place and holiday then Marari succeeds on every count. Everyone is professional and friendly and you are guaranteed a warm welcome and attention. Dining and food service is very good with a wide range of outlets with well cooked and presented dishes. Don't miss the daily afternoon chai wagon.
Rooms are comfortable , light and airy, and serviced daily to a high standard.
So thank you to everyone at Marari for making our stay so enjoyable and our home from home.

- David (10/5): An oasis - Everything is perfect. The rooms, pool, food, location and especially the staff. Nothing
- Meander426505 (10/5): Loved every minute! - Fabulous resort with a lovely vibe. I wish I had chosen CDG Earth Experience for all of my stays in Kerala. The staff were very friendly and attentive, the rooms were much cleaner than at the Taj (Kumarakom), and it didn’t feel crowded at all.

- Christopher (9/5): - Nice pool and uncrowded beach with just local fishermen. Choice of places to eat within the resort and a few possibilities can be reached on foot Could have been a bit more helpful contacting us about items we accidently left behind, but our next hotel kindly collected them for us.
