Guest Reviews
- Michelle (8/5): Quaint - very clean but small. - Very clean with friendly staff. The bathroom is tiny! Also, with a 2 bed room, it would be nice to also have a mirror in the bedroom so that multiple people could get ready at the same time (bathroom too tiny for 2 people).
One bed was rock hard, the other was as squishy as a pillow.

I LOVED IT đ
Reminded ME OF MY CHILDHOOD
Public park is directly behind the property I should have asked for a fan.
I can tell you it is Historic Property so
Personal Heat & AC units are not in Rooms
Something Average person might want to call & check on before choosing
But with the weather I had while there .
I have no complaints
I had the Window Open with Fresh Breeze
Yes that old school of a hotel
- Steve (9/5): - No breakfast...it would have been nice.
- Douglas (5/5): Not what we hoped for. - We recently stayed at the Jones Beach Hotel, though I wouldnât quite describe it as a traditional hotelâit felt more like a motel or B&B.
On a positive note, the bed and sheets were very clean, which we definitely appreciated. The staff was also friendly during our limited interactions.
However, the overall experience didnât match our expectations. The photos online felt somewhat misleading compared to the room we received. It was clearly not one of the updated or better-furnished rooms. For example, the table appeared to be made of particle board with two plastic chairs and a tablecloth over it, and the bed frame felt very basicâsomething you might find at IKEA.
Considering the price we paid, it didnât feel like a good value, and that was disappointing. Aside from the cleanliness and kind staff, the biggest issue was that the room didnât reflect what was advertised. Over priced, not what we expected from the photos.
- Tom (8/5): A quick one night get-a-way we like to do about once a year - This hotel is a throwback to a golden age, it is an old, small boutique hotel. That's why we love it. We are actually local but go about once a year as a little stay-cation. The atmosphere
- Micaela (10/5): -
- Michelle (10/5): My stay was wonderful! We had a delicious dinner at the restaurant and then went right up to our cozy room! - Feels like family, very safe, Friendly people love the restaurant and bar. Nothing

- Slipe (9/5): Except for the excessive heat, the place was very clean and quiet. - N/A; already addressed It was very hot in the room. We didn't see any thermostat, and finally had to open a window to cool off.
- Sebastian (8/5): -
- Wilma (9/5): -
- Darlene (10/5): A good old fashioned welcoming Long Island hotel. - It was a quaint old school hotel that isnât a chain. It was nestled among a classic Ling Island neighborhood that was in walking proximity of a park. Everything was great!
- AnnMarie (10/5): It was a great relaxing experience - Can tell didn't have breakfast but I'm sure it would have been great thanks Na
- V (1/5): Moldy and Musty - What breakfast? The greeter was nice The hotel is old. The room was musty and moldy. The floor was uneven. The bathroom smelled bad. There was no stopper in the sink. The table was uneven. There was no luggage rack or amenities. There was no elevator.
- Loretta Cr (9/5): -
- Gwendolyn (5/5): I loved the bed and the staff. Haha to the voyeur. - I loved the bed - never slept better.
The staff were very courteous, friendly, and helpful. Thank them all for me. And thank you for that wonderful bed. The shower smelled and it had a lot of black mold in it. I could not bring myself to use it.
The blind in the window has a slat partially cut out allowing someone outside to look in, and in the morning I saw a giant bag of chips on the roof.
- debbie (10/5): excellent - everything very pleasant atmosphere need better drink options and food was expensive

- Alicia (8/5): - Both the bed and pillows were too soft.
- Jeff (8/5): Pleasant stay - I was only here for work, and had to leave very very early, but the room was comfortable and very clean. It was great for me as one person, though the bed might be a bit small for two (in my opinion). Check in was easy and pleasant. There is a friendly neighborhood quality to the place which I thought was great. I wished I could have tried the adjoining restaurant... next time!
- Roberto (10/5): - It was comfortable, staff was friendly, close to everything, and has a great restaurant a.d bar attached to it. No elevator.
- Mohammad (7/5): Best at its price point - Location to JFK. Price for a very dated property.
- Louis (7/5): - Overpriced
- Susan (9/5): this charming hotel was a great place to stay in order to be near the airport (half hour drive) we wish we had kore tim - it has some retro charm and was comfortable and clean. nothing.
- Robert (5/5): - Restaurant, remodeled bathroom nice. Location in a residential neighborhood
- Brittany (10/5): - The staff was extremely kind and accommodating and the room was very clean and comfortable! We stay here everything we're in the area.
- chris (9/5): -
- Cassandra (4/5): - Close and convient and it was very clean It was soo small for the price of the room and also our toilet was clogged and not flushing also the bathroom was like a closet god forbid a big person uses this room as it was tiny đł not worth the 250 we paid for sure
- NorthStar57053706758 (4/5): Not a great place to stay - No closet, (never experienced that ever) no heat no hangers, bathroom was the size of a post card. The restaurant, Totoâs , which is attached to the hotel was excellent though⊠great food, drinks, outstanding service. Nice atmosphere.
- Bakhtyar (8/5): - Very clean and respectful resection staff , every thing was good
- Paula (8/5): Em geral positivo.
- Debra (10/5): - Quiet, clean room, cool staff and funky decor ! Parking lot is big !
- Kamal (8/5): - Only economical choice close to beach. Clean and comfortable
- Lomot (10/5): - It was an amazing experience thru my evening from start to end .. Hopefully, I will arrive again soon in the new future & you should enjoy it as well ... đđđ
- Joseph (10/5): - Very clean room...great location
- Opuene (10/5): - The room was quite but I loved it! Had everything you needed without being excessive.
- Alllison (8/5): Manni the owner was super accommodating and let us keep our luggage with him all day. Her even stayed up late to let us - Great location for concert at Northwell at Jones Beach Smell of smoke
- Andy (9/5): - This place had great comfy vibes in a quiet location Nothing

- Ruth (8/5): - The room was small but we had everything we needed.
- Eliab (10/5): - Easy checkin and great restaurant (not part of hotel) attached to building with live music. Overall, i give it a 6/10.
- Francesca (5/5): Itâs a nice location but very old hotel. - Location and Staff Room small and had a very noisy air conditioner
- Vincent (6/5): - Clean room small room. Had a concert near by so it worked.
- leonard (8/5): Ok for one night - Location for where we needed to be Room was very small for a double bedded room
Shower and toilet also very small
- Karen (10/5): - Very helpful and friendly front desk person. The lack of an elevator was not that challenging especially with the offer to help
- Yanhua (10/5): - Room is cozy and clean
- Margaret (10/5): - Room was very clean. Staff was very accommodating. Location was perfect. Old world feel. Kind of hidden. Would definitely stay here again!
- Simon (9/5): -
- Stan (6/5): - Not a bad place. They put me on the motel side. Had a family next to me that woke me up at 3 am the first night. 2nd night I could hear them talking as well, paper thin walls I guess.
- Scott (10/5): - This charming old hotel from the early 20th century is conveniently located near one of the most beautiful beach parks on the east coast. It is clean, comfortable and at an affordable price. The staff are friendly and extremely service oriented wanting to make your stay enjoyable. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Long Isalnd south shore.
- steven (10/5): - Beautiful small family owned hotel. Relaxing. Run by the owners. Incredible restaurant attached for elegant dining. Comfortable beds. Great location for the beaches and restaurants and entertainment. Charming in all respects. We will definitely stay again. Steve R
- Magdy (4/5): - Poor
- Lisa (3/5): Dive.not worth $200+ per night! - Not much. The man who worked the desk was much more customer- friendly than the female who checked us in and made us feel like we were putting her out when we complained about the broken air conditioner unit in the room. The rooms were tiny, old & rundown. Towels were rough & carpet was dirty. Not suitable for 3 or 4 adults.
- Edward (9/5): Well priced, clean, and friendly - The physical condition of the hotel has improved since the last time we stayed. Rooms are comfortable but not luxurious. It would've been nice to have tea and coffee in the lobby, even though they didn't serve breakfast. Room has Jacuzzi tub but no instructions how to use it, even as a regular tub.
- Willie (10/5): -
- Sondra (8/5): - Room was very clean. Staff exceptional. Staff helpful and friendly!! Thanks đ No outside property however local park nearby.
- Denise (8/5): - Its dated. Small room. Amenities are minimal. Towels could be better quality. But, overall for overnight its good. The Jones beach theater is close by.
- Thomas (8/5): - The hotel was in a very quiet neighborhood, The people were nice. Only one expensive restaurant on site
- Jennifer (10/5): - Sits quietly in a residential neighborhood. Safe, very clean and comfortable. Room was updated, bright and included standard hotel amenities; TV, Small fridge, microwave. Bed, pillows and blankets were comfortable. Towels smelled clean and fresh. Window air conditioning unit worked very well. Stairs to room access only. Will definitely stay here again when returning to the Long Island Area.
- Christine (8/5): - Located on a park with access to Jones Beach bike path. No frills hotel but clean. Quiet.
- Lesli (10/5): - Safe and clean neighborhoodâŠ
- Christopher Bernard (10/5): - Hotel is in an older building so small rooms but it was comfortable. Very nice & friendly staff (they can get you ice if needed). Great restaurant downstairs.
- WindyCityJoe2015 (10/5): Vacation on Long Island at Jones Beach - The Jones Beach Hotel is a very homey place, located in a quiet residential neighborhood at the edge of Cedar Creek Park in Wantagh, New York. The park leads down to Jones Beach State Park, which has 6.5 miles of great beaches facing the Atlantic Ocean. The hotel is like a bed and breakfast, with coffee and chat in the lobby in the mornings. There is a high end restaurant located in the hotel serving lunch and dinner and a great diner, the East Bay Diner, about a ten minute walk away. The Long Island Railway is easily available in Wantagh for commuting to New York City, and you can even walk there if you can do a 25-30 minute walk. I loved the location and I think that this hotel is a great place to stay for a visit to Long Island and New York City!
- James (10/5): This Place is a Gem!!! - This is a hidden Gem!!!! Itâs 15 mins from Jones Beach; nearly the same to major stores (Wallmart Shop rite) There is a great park right the entry is off the Hotel Parking lot: great for a jog walk and the wee ones) There is bike path off the park â 5 miles to Jones Beachâ Best of all the staff are warm and always helpful.
If you are a steak eater a Steak house is adjact( Busy! On Friday and Sat) James G
- Charles (4/5): - Too many steps. No elevator. Very small. Front desk didn't smile or even address you. Not friendly at all.
- Wally Iman (8/5): - Very clean. People accommodating. Very good for the price.
- Ellen (10/5): - All good in a pinch
- Joseph (7/5): Location location - Location is great. Neighbor was great.
The staff were wonderful and helpful.
The room was good. but the beds were the loudest beds I've slept on in a hotel. They were comfy enough, but the frames maybe just low of noise.
I'd still come back, but the beds were a little frustrating.
- Matthew (10/5): - Staff always helpful, room clean enough
- Robert (9/5): Very satisfied. - Great location for concerts at Jones Beach. Property very clean, staff very friendly and helpful. Nothing
- Edwin (10/5): - Quiet
- Adrian (10/5): - Great location and very helpful staff
- Gerald (8/5): -
- Patrick (10/5): - Quiet area. Park adjacent to Hotel.
- Gerald (8/5): -
- Karen (8/5): - We chose this hotel as we were attending a party at the restaurant below. Staff was pleasant, room was clean and spacious. However, amenities were few. I would have liked a bit more for the price such as 2 washcloths (there were 2 of us). There is a coffeemaker in the room but no type of creamer provided, as not everyone likes their coffee black. Luckily, the location of the hotel is near a main road with lots of eating options.
- Karen (8/5): - We were visiting family and this hotel was very close. We stayed in one of the 3 rooms at ground level, off the parking lot. It worked great for us as one of the travellers was elderly and stairs not the best option. We didn't have to do that. We also needed 2 beds and our room was split in 2 with the washroom in the middle. Each side had window air conditioner, a wall TV, Armour or dresser. My side was a single bed that also had another pullout single bed underneath should you need it. The other side had a queen bed. It worked well for 2 friends travelling together. Would request this room again. The restaurant was a highlight dinner. Excellent food, wine & service.
- August (10/5): - Great value. Staff was very helpful. Restaurant was excellent.
- Terry (8/5): - Parking spots were a bit scarce....and the shower was not regulated, either you got cold or very hot water. But really, it was a great place to spend the night.
- Delilah (8/5): - .
- Brad (10/5): - Great stay,?close to Jones beach and the restaurant attached was amazing! Totoâs was delicious
- Tom (8/5): A brilliantly located family run hotel for Jones Beach - The location was amazing with close access to the beach and tucked away at the end of a lovely residential area next to parks. Liked the family run style of the hotel. We had 2 double beds, 1 great (firm) but other too soft.
