Guest Reviews
- Lucy (8/5): Lovely stay - The host was absolutely lovely. Very friendly man who cared lots for his guests. I would definitely recommend staying if you’re looking for a cheap and friendly accommodation. Pretty close to centre. I was touched by the kindness of the owner. :)
- george (6/5): very disappointing - the Host was a lovely guy,
If your stuck for accommodation like i was it will do,
only because when I came in after 18 pints and walked for 45 minutes in the rain due to no taxis,
but normally I would never stay in a place like !
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The proprietor was a really nice chap. He was very friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. I love Snowy and Sheba and offer Bash my best wishes for the future.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Quick one night stay, a little bit out of town and fairly basic set up but is very cheap and you get what you pay for I guess. Room was clean and owner was very friendly and accommodating. Would recommend if you are on a budget, not too fussy and just need somewhere to sleep for a night or two.
- Nick (8/5): Welcoming atmosphere - Friendly. Comfortable. Good value. Convenient location
- Rosemary (8/5): - The price was right, as the hotel the rest of the delegates were booked into was full, so there was no point in spending the top rates. £40 was ok. The building was a bit shabby, but the rooms were clean and bright (I was given a choice of a family room or a single one). A wash basin in the room and kettle with tea and coffee. Plain and simple but ok. I knew it was not en suite, so that was fine and I was able to have a wash in my room.
I donn't know what the local area was like as I arrived by taxi after dark and left by taxi first thing in the morning.
- Scott (6/5): Nice owner, dirty place - Expensive for what it is. The owner was nice which is the only good thing about it. Massive fish tank outside my room, god knows what animals he has in the front room but you see a parrot in the window.
- Christopher (10/5): - Great service. Easily accessible to the city centre. Definatly will use this place again if needed.
- Nicki (8/5): Delicious freshly prepared curry on demand - This guest house is very basic but clean and adequate for a short stay. What really makes it interesting is the lovely landlord who takes a real interest in his guests and is willing to show you his amazing garden, including a hydroponics section and an aquarium where he rears tilapia for eating. He can rustle up a delicious Bangladeshi curry at short notice and in accordance with your tastes in the evening up to around 10pm. He can also provide English or Bangladeshi breakfast although I did not try this. He provided me with fresh fruit and biscuits on arrival and a daily jug of fresh milk. Altogether a fascinating character with so many generous projects both for the local community and further afield.
- Michael (10/5): Another fantastic time at a lovely guest house - This is the third time I've stayed at Heavenly Nights Guest House and it won't be the last. It such a friendly place to stay. You get welcomed in as if you're a good friend and nothing is too much trouble.
- Daniel (8/5): - Extremely helpful and friendly staff member who did anything possible to enhance our stay.
- craig (2/5): Terrible place to stay - Disgusting
- Verified traveler (2/5): no expectation met - Trash in the driveway, blowzy fore garden, no bell or reception to find, bad smell at the entry due to the aquarium in the hallway that hasn't been cleaned for a while. Shower under the stairs, felt like harry potter. Found hairs in my bed and could feel the springs in the mattress.
Wouldn't stay another night there!
- Robert (4/5): Vrubby - Very tatty - bits of stair carpet missing. In need of cleaning and painting - very grubby overall
- Lauren (10/5): - Owner was very friendly and helpful!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Cheap and cheerful - Nice welcome from the owner, extremely helpful in showing me about. Room was comfortable but overall is probably in need of a little TLC. Cheap and cheerful, I would stay again
- Kelvin (6/5): - Good nights sleep. host very helpful
- T (4/5): cheap - Rather dirty and a bit smelly, but it is cheap.
- miss ting-jui (2/5): Does the trick - You get what you paid for I suppose.
No towel, basic room, nice host.
- M (2/5): Inconvenient hotel - Got there and stuck . . . nothing was there like a hotel . . . a house converted in plenty small and floor board noisy rooms . . . kitchen staff or employees also live inside hotel rooms and they get disturb by paying guests come to stay there in hotel and manager asks to keep quite because employees are taking rest . . . very funny situation there . . . avoid if you can . . .
- Jonathan (10/5): - Friendly place at a good price. Great owner who keeps fish, birds and plants.
- Stephen (6/5): 4 days in Sheffield - 4 nights at an event in Sheffield. On street parking with 20 minute walk in to Ponds forge. Guest house host was enthusiastic and welcoming. Property could be freshened up a bit.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very nice room, good value for money. Free parking bit only outside on the street of the hotel and shared bathrooms but overall very satisfactory.
- Sue (8/5): Basic Cheap Room - A basic cheap room, no food available but the owner was very pleasant and attentive.
- Sam (10/5): No negatives! - My stay was great, unfortunatley wasn't inside the hotel long enough to give a review on everything. Front of house has been bit disowned. But staff were very welcoming, offered me snacks, had tea/coffee in room offered fresh milk. Sink inside room with tv, wardrobe, desk and bed. Great for a short stay!!
- Charles (6/5): Enjoyed my short stay in Sheffield - Was in Sheffield to see my daughter. Room was perfect for me as I just needed a comfortable single room within easy walking distance of Kelham Island at a good price. Very pleasant welcome from the owner and interesting chats about the hydroponic fish tank in the hallway. Will stay again as no problems at all. Good value for me and nice people running it.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Heavenly nights?? - Although the owner was a very nice man the guest house was dirty and in need of repair. The bathroom was filthy, the entrance to the bedroom had a very steep staircase that was dangerous when carrying suitcases. The sheets where crinkled and bubbly and felt unclean. whilst trying to sleep there was an obvious stench of cigarettes coming from the plaster. Glad I only had to stay for 1 night.
- Richard (4/5): Hot water? - Inexpensive and quiet. Not a difficult downhill walk straight into Sheffield. The big problem was I could not get hot water, even after the owner apparently showed me how. I don't know if others had this experience. Good TV.
- Paul (6/5): Great value budget accommodation - If you're expecting hotel standards, then this isn't the place for you. There's tea & coffee facilities in the room but the milk wasn't changed in my 3 night stay and had turned to curds and whey by the end of it! Lots of led lighting in the hi-tech showers and bathroom, but no towels provided. I used the top from the previous day as a towel! No mention was made of any breakfast provision being available. What you will get however is a very warm welcome from owner Bash, and you will get a room with tv, free wi-fi etc, that is quiet for a very reasonable price. Difficult to find in Sheffield. 8 different buses run nearby until fairly late, so it's ideal for a city stay on a budget. It's clean and convenient and unbeatable value.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Rough house, in a run down area. - Very disappointed, The bathroom was nice, but you have to share it. No ensuite in rooms. The place had not seen a lick of paint in 30 plus years. Should be renamed Nightmare Nights. And I feel I was robbed paying £40 per night, while it was only worth £15 per night. Great big ugly fish tank in the hall way I would rather have not seen. Least I could leave, the fish were trapped. Expedia advertise rooms at a low cost, but when you enquire they are sold out, or there is expensive parking charges. And there is also the old con, Oh it's the last room sir in this hotel every other is sold out.
- Natasha (10/5): Book here if you want: cheap room & brill service - Me and my sister arrived at this guesthouse on new years eve a little apprehensive as it wasn't what we were expecting however from the minute we arrived the service was unreal, they are a lovely bunch of people who will do anything for you. Yes the guesthouse could do with some work but it really didn't matter to is as we needed a room for the night not far from the centre. For me, the gent who stayed up for us so we could get in was the cherry on top, you don't get that anywhere else! Definitely recommend!!
- Lesley (8/5): Duck to water! - I was made most welcome by the Proprietor. He could not do enough for me. The place is still in the process of remodelling but what has been completed is to a high standard. I discovered after I had arrived that he is a great cook. I hadn't known that but I would stay again and book some Indian cooking! Asked about parking: I did not notice that he had an agreement with the doctor's surgery to park there. He said he would advertise this as well as the availability of food as location is a bit out of the way of restaurants etc.
- Daniel (8/5): Good stay - Everything was at a very good standard will definitely return
- anthony (4/5): - Manager was very nice he gave me a Bangladeshi welcome. Met his son who had a lovely cockatoo nice to see one.
A lot of renovation going on at the moment on the basic areas of the house.
it will take time. Very accessible by public transport when you know what busses to get. Hope to stay here again sometime
- Michael (10/5): Fantastic Bed and Breakfast - Made us feel at home from the moment we arrived until we drove away. Friendly and helpful manager who couldn't do enough to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Will definitely be going back again.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Keeping this hotel is SHAME on Hotels.com - It was the worse ever experience in my life. The room was under refurbishment process. When I expressed my surprise feeling, the hotel man said "what you are expecting, we are not Hilton!"
The mattress is very poor quality. No towels in the room.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - fiendly proprietor, hotel in disrepair - partial redecoration, only one bathroom on this floor plus extra dilapidated wc.
Low price but have been in much better hostels
would not book again
- Verified traveler (2/5): Not home from home!!!!! - This guest house is not 'heavenly' at all
Thank god didn't have to stay
- Tara (10/5): Great guest house for a great price. - This place was spot on. There were 6 of us and they catered to this with one room that was really cheap. It was clean, the staff were really friendly and so helpful. Even stayed up late to let us in after a night out. Couldn't have asked for any more.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Very welcoming people - People were really friendly, made me some snacks for when I arrived. The b and b itself smelt a little and the bed wasn't the comfiest, but it was veey cheap compared to hotels.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Not worth staying there - It wos horrendous didn't even stay there mind u the service wos ok wouldn't recommend it again tho me and my fella didn't end up staying there we had to get a proper hotel
- Thomas (8/5): Very nice staff, really comfortable room - Clean and comfortable hotel. Ideal to put your head down overnight in a comfy bed. The hotel owner was also very helpful and very kind.
- Sisko (8/5): pleasant budget - Nice little place with good service for a small penny!
- Oliver (10/5): Good little hotel - Very friendly and good location! Recommended and value for money
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice and simple - Very flexible host, nice and hospitable, simple room with everything needed. Parking was on the street but there was plenty of it. No complaints here.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice guest house - Had a nice experience, we were welcomed and even provided with free snack on arrival. Enjoyed the night at the guest house
- Verified traveler (8/5): Budget accommodation with a smile - Enjoyed a comfortable night's stay here on a weekend visit to Sheffield. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. Facilities are pretty basic but clean and well-presented. I tried the Indian breakfast in bed option which was an interesting new experience! If you're looking for budget accommodation in Sheffield I would definitely recommend staying here.
- alan mack (8/5): A great hotel close to centre - I got this hotel for £30 on a Saturday night in Sheffield which is a bargain. It is a 2 mile radius from the city centre and possibly three miles from the clubbing and night life area so a taxi back cost me £7. It is however well connected by bus. The bed and breakfast seems to be in a nice area, The staff were pleasant and they do evening meals and i got a good made to order chicken korma. I was also allowed to check out at 12 noon as the weather conditions were horrific in sheffield due to storms. I would recommend and stay again.
- Ying (10/5): Fantastic food - Very nice breakfast and dinner.
- Katherine (8/5): Great service - The owners were very nice, they gave us a lot of useful information. It was easy to get to there because many buses can arrive there.
