- Hannah (10/5): Fantastic stay would definitely recommend. - Host was fantastic, very friendly and accommodating. Stopped to have a chat with us and asked us how we were finding everything. Could not do anymore for us. Shower was either scalding hot or freezing cold
- Matteo (8/5): - The position and the staff The room was a bit old and small
- Graeme (8/5): A great place to stay for a stopover in Blackpool. - Our room was lovely, very clean and comfortable. We were able to park our car in the front yard which was amazing!
Decem was a lovely host. Just the stairs! But as travelling Aussies we are getting used to them đ
- kimberley (10/5): Excellent - Excellent location. Really nice and clean.
The host was exceptionally accommodating and couldnt do enough for us!
- Kelly (10/5): Amazing definitely be back x - Amazing host I would definitely recommend and will definitely return , very clean and comfortable rooms very warm and cosy

- Amanda (7/5): Very pleasant place to stay with an extremely kind owner. - The host was such a lovely, kind lady. There were complimentary bottles of water, snacks and tea/coffe and, even though my daughter was 15, she was given extra chocolate which she loved. The room was clean and smelt of washing powder and the small basket if toiletries was a nice touch. Overall a very pleasant stay. The room had touches of damp and several small dents/holes in the walls, however I believe that is probably more due to guests not respecting the property than any fault of the owner.
- Hawson (10/5): Short stay very enj6 - Very helpful and pleasant lady made us very welcome
- Patrick (8/5): Lovely Hotel would stay again -
- Stephanie (10/5): Brilliant stay - Perfect location. Host was lovely. This was our 2nd time staying here. Will be returning next year.
- Kevin (3/5): Nice lady who owns the property but it's too far out for us and it didn't do breakfast - They didn't do any food even though it's advertised outside the property Breakfast. Because their wasn't any nice lady who owns the property
- Luciana (10/5): -
- helen (8/5): Very comfortable - The owner was really nice, couldn't do enough, she has out out loads of snacks and bottles if water.
The bed was amazing. Ive got a bad back so used to hotel beds being bad but this bed was amazing, the mattress was soft and rhe bedding perfect. I slept the best I have in ages. This isnt a dislike, just comments, the bathroom was small and there was sign of a former leak on the ceiling, but the bed was that nice I didnt care. I woukd stay there again without hesitating.
- Samantha (6/5): - It's location I didn't see any staff or have information on breakfast times. I was staying for a dance competition so had to leave early but there was no one around to ask breakfast times and no breakfast on at 7.30 so left my key on the bar to check out.
- Julie (8/5): Lovely hotel and owner, would definitely return. - The property was very clean and welcoming. We were welcomed by Decem who was very pleasant and friendly. We spent some time chatting with her and enjoyed the stories she told. She provided snacks and drinks in reception FOC and was happy to help with any requests. Unfortunately when we returned to our room on the top floor after our night out, the roof had leaked and the bed was wet through. We had to wake the owner to let her know. She tried her best to sort us alternative accommodation but nothing was available. We ended up sharing a room with another couple we had travelled with as they had a spare single room. There were no qualms with being offered a refund and it was received very quickly. We would definitely return as this was out of her control and she did her best to help us out.
- da (10/5): Excellent stay - Couldn't be more helpful little treats for my girl room excellent and very polite young lady also early check in on arrival parking out front very helpful also separate room for my little girl Nothing to dislike first class establishment
- Helen (9/5): - Great location, complementary snacks and bottled water and a lovely helpful host đ Nothing
- Ruth (9/5): Great place to stay - Very friendly owner, ideal location for tower/winter gardens etc Maybe a little continental breakfast
- Kirsty (10/5): Brilliant Little Hotel - Owner is an absolutely lovely lady, who takes real pride in making guests welcome. She couldn't have been more helpful. Even offers free water & snacks. Our rooms were spacious, clean & comfortable. Perfect location, too. Very close to the shops & seafront. We will certainly be returning next time we visit Blackpool.
- Elena (9/5): Clean, comfortable and great value - An easy check in and check out after a good night sleep. Good size room and bed

- Pete (10/5): - Our stay was delightful, and it was evident that the establishment was exceptionally well-managed. The owner went above and beyond, providing some extra treats for the kids, which was a lovely surprise. We received a warm and inviting welcome upon arrival, which immediately set a positive tone for our visit. The room itself was beautifully maintainedâspotlessly clean and thoughtfully arranged, making it a comfortable and enjoyable space to relax in. - Thornley Susan (10/5): Cumbrian - The lady who ran it Upper level of room
- Morgan Jon (9/5): Spotless, comfy stay with amazing host. Great value, parking, and a warm welcomeâhighly recommend! - We booked the Cumbrian Hotel as a last-minute stay in Blackpool as we were going to a show in the evening and didnât want to face the huge amount of traffic on the way home, especially as the lights had just been switched on the day before.
After searching on Booking.com for a number of days beforehand, hoping to come across a little gem, we had almost given up as the prices were high and many of the hotels and guesthouses available looked overpriced and unclean, judging by the TripAdvisor reviews and previous guestsâ photos. Iâm still unsure when cleanliness became a luxury when booking a hotel or guesthouse.
It just so happened that I checked again on the morning of the show and came across the Cumbrian Hotel, which had a family room available at a good price. Most importantly, the TripAdvisor reviews and photos showed a clean, well-kept, and cared-for guesthouse. We went ahead and booked for the night at what we felt was a reasonable price.
After making the booking, I contacted the hotel and asked if it would be possible to drop our bags off slightly earlier, explaining that I understood our room wouldnât be available until 3 pm. The lovely lady on the phone insisted she would do her very best to make sure our room was ready as early as possible and encouraged us to arrive whenever was convenient for us.
As we approached the area, we referred to the picture from the Booking.com website to try and spot the property amongst the rows upon rows of guesthouses. The picture displayed the guesthouse with an outdoor canopy, which we were using as our reference point. After struggling for a minute, I contacted the property, and December, the wonderful owner, kindly came outside to greet us as we were only a few metres away.
When we arrived, December was so warm and welcoming to myself, my partner, and my children. I explained that we were using the photo from Booking. Overall it was a brilliant stay with a fantastic hosts.

- Daniel (10/5): - Friendly staff, December went above an beyond expectations. Really clean rooms felt nice to be in nicely decorated. Family room with a bedroom for the children with a tv was fantastic. Nothing it was last minute and a pleasant surprise.
- Sarah (10/5): Lovely, comfortable, clean and great location - Lovely hotel in a quiet street, easy walking distance of the Winter Gardens and the town centre. Generous sized room, very clean and friendly staff.

- Thomas (7/5): Adequa - I'm 77 years old and the stairways are too steep for me, I had to be very careful using them
- Louise (5/5): Wonât be returning - The second room was better than the first The smell when you walked in and the bed was wet through with 3 different Staines on the bed which means the room hasnât been used or checked for a while

- Emma (8/5): Very good -
- Molly (7/5): Good -
- Finnegan (10/5): Exceptional -
- As (6/5): Very clean rooms with very friendly owner, however no breakfast available and in need of re-decorate - Clean and tidy as per previous guests feedback, however been taken over by new lady owner 3 years ago and getting in need of decoration. We booked and paid extra for a large bedroom with private bathroom, but were given a very small room.
Once the owner reallised we were not happy she informed us that we had paid extra for a larger double bed not larger room.
She then offered us a larger room ( which was still very cramped, with paint peeling from the ceiling above the pillows ) and said it would be re-painted during our first or second day of our stay - which never happened.
We also had to pay ÂŁ 10 per night to park upon the front of the property.
- Paul (10/5): Friendly and helpful - Clean and comfortable and friendly helpful staff
- Tracey (9/5): Superb - Close to town clean cosy bed, room was small double which was OK but the shower/toilet was a bit on the small side not much room to move and I'm only small On entering the hotel downstairs a awful smell not sure if it was cooking but wasn't great

- Sarah (9/5): Superb -
- Naomi (9/5): Great value for money with lovely host - Was very clean and in a good location. Room was ideal for the purpose with small en suite. Bed very comfortable and made us feel very comfortable.
The hotel was also very secure with cctv etc Canât comment on any faults
- Allison (7/5): Good - Lady was very friendly comfy bed and the only thing I would say is it was either a damp smell in the room or smell of urine no too bad but still there lingering
- Holly (10/5): Booked up again before we even left. Amazing stay thank you x - Clean , cosy, perfect location for the tower and winter gardens. Nothing it was great.
- Anthony (9/5): Superb -
- Annmarie (8/5): Stayed for one night. It was nice and comfortable. Host was very friendly. - Bathroom was very small
- James (10/5): Friendly Family Hotel - Friendly, helpful lady running this hotel.
Gave us a warm greeting on arrival.
The room was as expected.
The hotel was quiet, and I noticed it didn't welcome stag/hen parties.

- Melanie (9/5): Would definitely stay here again - Lovely little hotel, the owner canât do enough for you, tea & coffee facilities in room & toiletries in bathroom, very comfy beds & good wardrobe space
- Vicky (4/5): Disappointing - Locality Room was ridiculously small, hand basin in room as toilet/ shower too small.
- Louise (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah (3/5): Poor - Room was very very small, bed was made up nicely but very noisy when sat on! Lots of hairs in the shower so couldnt use it, and blinds were dropping to bits in the room so couldnt close them and no curtains
