Guest Reviews
- Atsushi (10/5): -
- Mariebel (2/5): - The room smells like smoked and at first glance it looks ok but then you can see the place falling a part. This place needs updating. The staff didn’t speak English but I was able to cancel the first night, they were nice.
- Dianne (10/5): - Friendly
- Christie (6/5): - Place was too expensive for a room so small that my husband and I had to take turns just to get dressed. The tub/shower is not ok for anyone with disabilities
- Peachy (10/5): - It was great until we didn't realize our sheets in the bottom corner had feces…. Not sure where it came from also the morning breakfast was super diverse!
- Mavis (4/5): - Hotel looks old. Room smells. Was made to change room on last night as toilet was not working !
Quite a distance to train station
Resepsiyonda zilde yok.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Has everything you could need - There were some stains on the bed skirt (looked like lipstick) and some dust between the sheets. But overall very clean. Front desk was availabile 24hrs and were very helpful and resourceful. Very nice and big room.

- Verified traveler (8/5):
- Heng Kun (8/5):
- TENG SHENG (8/5): -
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The facilities are very good. Only one thing it is alittle far from the station.
- Verified traveler (8/5): -
- Verified traveler (8/5): -
- Verified traveler (6/5): - This is a Sex Motel, I had different idea about the advertising only adults, it looks kinky, more like a motel
- Verified traveler (8/5): -
Pornolys i loftet.
- Verified traveler (8/5): -
- Verified traveler (8/5): -
- Verified traveler (10/5): Definitely worth it, love hotel or not - For the price I paid it was extremely good. A capsule hotel or hostel with many people in the same room costs about the same in more central areas.
I got a great bathroom, and a huge room for Japanese standards. Plus you can rent a video game console for free. They also provide two free water bottles and a massage chair, plus a gambling machine which I turned off. Oh, and there's a tv in the shower room. For this cheap a price. Not bad.
It's about 15 minute walk from takeda station and the area is boring. Also they made me wait 15 mins before giving me my room key. That's my only complaint.
I stayed alone by the way. It felt like a regular hotel except cheaper and there's a massager for women but that's about it.
- Verified traveler (10/5): -
+: amenities which is rich in variety, big bed and bathroom, reasonable
-: location
- Verified traveler (10/5):
- Verified traveler (8/5): -
- Verified traveler (8/5): - To enjoy your stay you have to accept the hotel for what it is functionally used for - a love hotel. People will rent by the hour for a little fun and then leave. They clean their rooms non-stop for the next customers. I had a little issue where my neighbour was using the "entertainment" on the tv and blasted the speakers. This was very disturbing. Luckily they were gone by the morning (an hourly / overnight rent I assume). The staff apologised sincerely and I imagine if it still happened they probably would have offered us another room.
Be aware there are 'love' facilities available in the room, but I can't complain, it was roomy and overall a comfortable stay, albeit a bit out of the way from Kyoto main area. Just keep an open mind and quickly get over the seediness of the location you are in (you are in the love hotel district).
- Lap Choi (10/5):
- Nadia (10/5): - Honestly I love this hotel. Everything was within my reach, there was no noise on the outside and the comfort of the room was the best. I went as a tourist and what I loved most about the hotel is that it provides you a tourist guide and a device so you can connect anywhere. Really enjoyable!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Staff were very helpful and friendly. Great experience overall.
- Verified traveler (10/5): -
- Verified traveler (10/5): Kyoto - Great hotel.
- Rene (10/5): Very comfy, quiet. - Great bath after a long day the jets feel wonderful. Not much restaurant in the area but we found a good Italian restaurant near by, very good food. It is about 15-20minutes walk to subway. Cant go wrong with this place. Dont mind the love hotel rap.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Love hotel! - For those wondering why it’s +18 and older it’s because it is meant to accommodate those who are looking for a night or a few with a partner. It is also about a 20 min walk to the nearest station. With that being said it is actually a nice place offering many different things.
- Andrew (10/5): Such a great experience! - The room is not only very big for Japan standards, it included a message chair, message vibrator, couch, king bed, spa bath, poker machine, mobile phone with internet and ability to call within Japan handy for when site seeing in Kyoto. Advertised 24/7 rental of either Wii U, Playstation 4, tablet or smart phone but every time I was about either the Wii or Playstation I was told it had been booked out by another guest so that was a small let down. But still totally worth the experience for such a cheap price.
Takes about 15 minutes to walk to the closest station.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Check in was easy, slight language barrier, helps to know Japanese. This is ADULTS ONLY, so prepare for a fun tie with your significant other. Room was awesome!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This place is equipped with everything you could ever want from Karaoke and PS4 rentals from the front desk (free I might add) to bubble bath and VERY nsfw TV channels. There are definitely some stains on the walls, but you really don't need to go anywhere near them since the room is so huge. There's even a TV in the bath, so your can soak and watch some anime at the same time. Breakfast was small but perfectly portioned and they bring it you discreetly in a compartment you have to open in the entryway to your room. The smoke smell is strong at first, but as long as you don't have allergies or asthma you get used to it and the vent helps. Fantastic value, perhaps one of the best in Japan.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Better than expected! - We didn’t know this was considered a “love hotel” until just before we arrived! They were professional and very courteous! The room was spacious, which is hard to say about any other stay we have had in Japan. The food was not great but “good”. The staff found a pair of my earrings and returned them before we picked up our luggage. Very honest staff!!
- Brandon (10/5): Taboo...But I loved it! - Let me start off by saying this is a love hotel. I stayed here with my husband. The locals seem to have a taboo view of love hotels, as our taxi driver said it was not proper for foreigners to stay here. He also dropped us off at the back entrance like we were trying to hide something. Well he couldn't have been more wrong because this hotel was excellent. It was very clean, the room was huge, and the staff was extraordinarily friendly and helpful. There is a massaging wand above the headboard. There is a slot machine in the room, not unlike many Las Vegas hotels we've stayed at, and there is a vending machine for lingerie. That is the adult part of this hotel. If you are fine with those 3 things, then this hotel is fantastic. I am very glad we booked our stay here. The walk to Takeda Station is about 12 minutes and it is quiet and sort of romantic walk at any time of day. I definitely recommend foreign couples to stay here if they want a large, clean and friendly hotel. Just don't bring the kids.
- caroline (8/5): Fun experience. Nice stay - We were staying at this hotel because Kyoto was fully booked during high season. We had a nice stay and it was a fun experience because this is a love hotel. But honestly you dont even notice.
Only thing is that this is 15 mn walking from subway station but if you visit most of the day, this is not too inconvenient.
- Alek (10/5): Good stay! - Very luxury stay for price i paid!
- Erik (8/5): Las Vegas style love hotel - Nice hotel with big room and big bathroom. Helpful staff who speaks a little English. Far away from the city center, but close to a nice 7 Eleven store and not too far away from the nearest subway station. Wi-Fi didn’t work too well, and it smelled of smoke. Entrance is through the garage.
- Eddy (8/5): An interesting hotel. - Our room was quite spacious and had some unusual extras. The massage chair was far from gentle but quite effective. We didn't use the slot machine, games console, karaoke machine or projector but they were there if needed. The hotel was a little far out of main Kyoto, with not many restaurants or cafes nearby but a couple of convenience stores close by had a good range of edibles.Breakfast choices were few and the cooked breakfast, which was delivered to our room as there was nowhere else to eat, arrived cold. Staff were helpful and friendly. No charge was made for ordering a taxi unlike previous hotel.
- J (6/5): Difficult to get to - Overall the hotel is fine but it is difficult to get to either by walking or taking taxi.
Amenities provided are excellent but the first day when we check in, the bedsheet has a stain and a toothbrush was opened. Guess the hotel staff did not ensure proper hygiene.
- Verified traveler (10/5): The best hotel I've ever stayed in my whole life - Nice and clean hotel with a lot of services and awesome bathtub. Recommend to everyone above 18 years of age.
- Christos (8/5): Better than expected - Big room and clean, service is great even though staff don't really speak English. Breakfast was free and you get a good choice so can't complain. The only negative I suppose is the location. The area is too far from anything interesting and it's hard to find it from the subway station especially if you get off from the wrong exit (for info use south exit 5-6).
- Ivy (10/5): Best hotel for my Japan trip - The room is huge compared to the other hotel we stayed in Tokyo. Best of all they even have a massage recliner and complementary breakfast
- A D (4/5): Not my cup of tea - The whole hotel is smoking so if you hate the smell of smoke then this isn't for you. The smell was so thick and bad everywhere you went including the room. Lights don't turn all the way off for complete darkness. I've tried ever single button. Bed is hard as a rock. The hotel is so far from any dining, entertainment or tourism except for a park down the street. Shower and bath with jets were nice. If you like to gamble there's a slot machine inside as well as a projector for the wall to watch tv. Don't expect to check in early though. I arrived a few hours early and was told I had to wait until 3pm. I came back to the counter at 2:50pm and was told wait a few more minutes. I came back to the counter at 2:58pm and still was told to wait! They literally mean 3pm on the dot. Never tried a hotel like this and being a tourist I didn't know these existed, it was an interesting experience but I would not book again.
- Dee-Arne (10/5): Loved it - We stayed 2 nights and were very very happy. The services were amazing and they couldn't do enough to help us
- cyndy (6/5): cheaper pkaces to stay - overpriced
- Howard R (8/5): Room was large, quiet and well supplied. - Staff were excellent and couldn't do enough to help. Although TV had English instructions there were no English channel( that we could find) and the staff didn't know either. No English instructions for lights - the same for all Fine Garden hotels? Mattress was very hard although it had a thin topper on it. Not much choice for breakfast if you are there for a few days and which you order the night before and it is delivered to your room.Station was 15 mins walk away and straightforward with the good maps that the hotel supplied. Loads of adverts around the room!
- Anonymous (2/5): Couldn't wait to get out!!! - When this was booked we presumed it was no children, as their was no reference to the actual hotel, once booked it was too late to cancel and once arrived I wished we'd have slept on the street.
There were stains everywhere and air conditioning didn't work, TV and music turned on on its own and felt dirty just being in there.
Felt amazing to leave
- Chris (6/5): Great room but no easy access by public transport. - We stayed five nights in this hotel while we were visiting Kyoto. The room was great and very clean. Breakfast was served in the rooms every morning. Tell the staff if you do not want them to ring the chimes when they deliver it. It was okay the first few days, but then we got tired of the BLT and french fries for breakfast. Great amenities. It is a 20 minute walk from the closest bus stop and there are a couple convenience stores close by.
- Emma (6/5): An unusual room - This was probably the strangest hotel we stayed in and wasn't at all what we expected. It was a bit larger than most of the other rooms we stayed in, but it also had vending machines in the room, mood lighting, massage chair, massage objects near the bed, PlayStation and karaoke. It was easy to get to via a short subway ride from Kyoto station, but was a fair distance from the centre of town.
- Verified traveler (10/5): A very nice hotel equipped with all you would want - A little apprehensive about booking into an adults only hotel initially. We were very pleasantly surprised by a great large room that had everything you could want. Price is very reasonable. Guests should not be put off by the adults only ( love hotel ) tag. This is a clean professional hotel.
- Chun Yuen Dennis (8/5): Something different - The room is big in Japanese standard. It was 15 mins walk to train station. The staff are friendly. It is in a Love hotels area but I am satisfy.
- Marty (8/5): Cheap adults only hotel reasonably close to PT - We have now stayed at 2 hotels in this chain. They are quite ok for the price you pay, rooms are clean and the staff are helpful. It will assist you if you know a little Japanese language (or can understand a little)
This one unlike the last one we atayed at in Osaka was resonably close to transport. Local bus from Kyoto can be caught (Bus 81) which there is a stop 5 mins walk away. Convenience stores close by (7/11 and Lawsons) Local train is 18mins walk with heavy luggage. Do suggest the ¥590 taxi to local station if you have luggage.
Room did not have microwave, however there is a food reheating serivce available.
Great laundromat is around 5 mins walk away.
- Noel (6/5): Not a Love Hotel but a Life Hotel - Great! - Breakfast left much to be desired for a westerner.
We enjoyed the spaciousness and our daily walk to the station(Takeda)and a daily pass to get around
Kyoto (by train) for 600 yen (each)
English was not well understood - but that was more
of a criticsm of us not the hotel for not trying to
speak Japanese more.
- Yohanes (8/5): - It is good .
- Mr. G. (10/5): Value stay in a luxury city. - Quiet hotel away from traffic. Staff were very accomodating! Room amenities were fun and delightful to play with ;) bring a partner or find one there is no problem. Adults only is perfect for a couples vacation. Location is just 10 minutes from the nearest subway station. I have only good reviews about this fine hotel and for Kyoto!
- YING SHENG (10/5):
- Verified traveler (10/5): good value excellent facilities - We haven't stayed in a couples hotel before and we didn't actually know what they are. This place had everything you would want in a room, good service and facilities and it was an easy 10minute walk to the station which gave us access to all of the sights of the Kyoto area. I can rally recommend this as great value for money.
- Juan (8/5): Hotel!!!! - It's a very good place very clean but two things. first it's about 20 minutes walking from the train and the second is not a place for people younger than 18 age.
- ian (10/5): - Great great great hotel I loved it best hotel I stayed in while I was in japan I booked in for an extra 2 nights even got a ps4 in my room had to ask in reception.
It's about a 10 min walk to the station but this isn't a problem very quiet area I enjoyed walking different ways to and from the station just use Google maps on your first walk from the station to the hotel once you've done it once it's easy to find. It's then a 10 min train ride to kyoto station and from there you free to travel all over the place.
Don't be put off by adults only it's not a dirty place the whole area is these type of hotels bit the area is very quiet it's not like full of bars and ladies there is no bars in the area
- Malcolm (10/5): Spacious, clean and very comfortable - After spending several nights in hotels north of Kyoto station we had to look further afield after deciding to extend our stay. Had a hilarious time with an old taxi driver trying to find the place but eventually found the block of love hotels in the middle of an area with an interesting mix of commercial, light industrial, residential and farming (yes, lots of small rice fields and market gardens). It is like a small chunk of Las Vegas has fallen from the sky - one hotel has coloured disco mirror balls spinning in the parking lot! We found the location fine as it was an easy 15 minute walk (with an excellent Japanese BBQ restaurant on the way) to Takeda railway station which is on a direct line to Kyoto station. I found walking around this area more interesting because it is not tourism oriented and you get to see aspects of Japanese life different from the tourist trail like small intense farming lots and larger free standing residential houses. If the hotel is looking for more travellers to diversify from their usual market I would recommend they have some bicycles for hire. This would allow a better means to explore the area and it looked like an easy and pleasant pedal into town using the quiet, traffic free pathway that follows the river. The room was brilliant - we calculated the bathroom was the same size as our whole room and bathroom combined in the tourist hotel we stayed in Kyoto for a similar price. Very clean, comfortable with surprisingly tasteful decor.
- Usagi Yuy (6/5): Best Bang for your Buck - The room was huge and very cheap. We had breakfast delivered to our room. Location is a bit far but we got more for our buck than any business hotel we've been in. Toilet room smelled like pee and it was a smoking room. But the smoke was easily masked when we burned a scented candle.
- lydia (10/5): Graduation trip - I went with my godchild who had just graduated from High school. The hotel was beautiful except or that it is considered a love hotel. It had 3 giveaways. The slot machine in the room, the prophalactic machine in the room, and the special mood lighting. Besides that it was very roomy, clean and very comfortable. Loved the massage chair. To get to the Takeda station it takes about 10min walking very easy to get to and the neighborhood seemed safe enough to venture out. One block away was the convenience store Lawsons. Very well stocked. The personnell spoke some english and very helpful.
- Gray (10/5): I love the love hotel. - Wasn't sure what to expect walking into a love hotel but it was actually quite wonderful. The room was large as was the bed. It had a massage chair, projector, and large tv. Every possible amenity was provided by the hotel. Best of all the breakfasts were amazing. The only bad thing about the stay was that the room smelled strongly of smoke when we arrived. However, after opening the window for a few minutes it was perfectly fine.
- Verified traveler (4/5): This is a "love" hotel... - It was unclear that this was a "love hotel" set up for adult entertainment. So it was super awkward for a business trip.
- Chris (8/5): Great hotel, bit far from the action - The hotel itself was great. The staff are really friendly and their English is OK if you dont know the japanese word (or any japanese) and the rooms are huge and well presented. For anyone unsure i can confirm that this is a love hotel however it is still a great hotel to stay in on your travels for a few days. Our room had the usual amenities plus a few other random things such as a slot machine and a 100 inch projector screen connected to the TV.
As you can probably get from the title the only downfall is the location. It is about a 10 minute walk from takeda station but once on the train it is only about 5 mins maximum to Kyoto. If you have invested in a japan rail pass this will NOT cover your travel on this line between Takeda and Kyoto and costs 240 yen one way per person. Doesnt sound like much but for 2 people going into kyoto for the day and then returning later its almost 1000yen so keep this in mind.
- lauriane (10/5): very nice large rooms with jet bath - A bit far from the city centre but has very nice large room with jet bath and a massage chair. Much more comfy that the standart poky hotel rooms.
Adults only though.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Top room - The room was large and had everything and more. The only thing was it was 4 stops away from Kyoto
- Verified traveler (10/5): fun for everyone - Great bang for buck for this type of hotel. will definitely go back again next time in Japan.
Only convenient access is by car though btw
- Dr. Robyn (6/5): ok... - Ok...this is couples hotel...and now we know what that means...
Very large room, very comfortable room except for the hard bed. Food at the hotel...ok...Location ok...about 20 min walk to the train station and then 4 stops to the main Kyoto train station. Not close to shopping or market or restaurants. Clean...staff at the hotel spoke very little english so it was difficult to communicate. Would stay there again if there weren't other options.
- Family of 3 (10/5): Exceeds expectations - A little nervous having read reviews describing the hotel as seedy but we were pleasantly surprised. The location is fine... 10mins from the metro which is 4 stops from the centre. The room was a little odd but enormous, immaculate and very comfortable. The staff were delightful and were very keen to help. Overall, excellent!
- Verified traveler (2/5): Avoid, Avoid and Avoid! - Avoid it at all cost. It's 20 minutes from Takeda station and Takeda is 4 stops from Kyoto station, so too far from all the sights. This is a love hotel, the rooms can be hired hourly!! It's a tacky place and one wonders if it's safe at all to stay there!!
