The toilet was so close to the right wall, the paper roll was almost in my side. When checking out I could not understand the Indian guy at all.

After we checked in, we were told that we would have to park our motorhome in the truck parking, adjacent but out of sight. With one of us on a rollator, traversing the gravel parking lot for that distance would be too much difficulty. Front desk called manager. Manager refused to refund the entire amount we just paid, even though we never even opened the room door and went inside. They kept one night room charge and refunded the rest. Unacceptable!! Totally unaccommodating toward our disability!

jeffnG8723JG (2/5): Stay Away - Nasty place, if you don’t mind bug bites and a musty moldy smell, this may be your place. Very old and run down. Very noisy. Stains from I don’t know what on the bed linens and towels. I just left and went down the road for a room. Didn’t even try to get a defund. Looks like need the money.
Verified traveler (8/5): Small town with a good hotel - The hotel is older with current updated renovations with new paint, flooring, decor. Room had nice amenities with a microwave, refrigerator, and was handicap accessible. The bottom inch around the shower needed a good scrubbing as mold and mildew were growing. That and the fact that just outside the room area were tons of cigarette butts that should have been cleaned up, at least once a week. The room was comfortable, and the beds were relaxing. The area had several things to choose from for a meal. Local shopping was within about 2 miles of the location of the inn. I would stay here again.

Not friendly at all and gave us no reason why she wasn’t checking us in. I truly was afraid she was scamming my credit card.

Bec I already paid on hotel.com come with hot tub and arrived there and they make me pay $50 to deposit abt that room. I did asked them why? Lady didn’t explain to me bec she don’t want talk to me bec I’m deaf bec she wasn’t friendly. I found out that all pillows are older on bed it was flat of pillows. I went in room and found out they don’t have hot tub there. Then I found some broke light middle on tv. Not enough of towels like two towels there bec of me and my daughter. I have went to office and ask for add two towels for my daughter. When we wake up in morning and found out that wasn’t good breakfast there. Me and my daughter wasn’t happy there. Decide to leave early in morning. I forget take pics of that room was so poor but we have sleep there at night bec we r so tired in travel and get there to sleep then feel better and leave so won’t go back there again in future.

We don't see the point of spending a few hundred dollars on a place to lay our head for one or two nights. Having said that I can also say that we are very honest in our reviews and will not slander a place if it is not warranted and we will give a great review if it is deserved. ABVI Winona was one of the more enjoyable stays we have had on our winter getaway. The breakfast was minimal but hey we didn't break the bank so didn't expect eggs made to order and fresh baked waffles. What was there was sufficient for us to begin our day and continue our adventures. I also want to say the staff were amazing especially the one mature individual that I am guessing is the manager. We spent so much time chatting and felt like friends when we left. MBVI Winona is a must stay. We loved it. Thank you

For the price I was looking for a basic clean and comfortable place to sleep for the night and that’s exactly what we got! Outside was well lit at night when we returned from our event. And there was a complimentary grab and go breakfast in the morning. Just to mention, a few amenity details, b/c I like to know this when planning what to pack: there is a small regular coffee maker (not a keurig), hair dryer, nice sized mini fridge, microwave, and iron in the room.

Verified traveler (6/5): No-frills Hotel Could Have Done Better - Stayed 1 night during a family vacation at this no-frills hotel. Beds and room were comfortable. Breakfast area was clean and there was ok variety of cold and microwaveable breakfast items. Chair in room was dirty/grimy, there was a hair in sink, toilet seat was loose. Just wasn’t very clean or as maintained as it could have been. Staff was courteous.

The free breakfast had a pretty decent selection. The over night clerk could’ve had a bit of a better attitude but maybe she was just having a bad day. The place is a bit dated and I usually hate when people say that but I am mentioning it now because I think it might not actually be as dingy as I’m thinking it was it was just dark and old. You can only polish things up so much ya know. Anyways, would stay again if passing through but it’s definitely not a destination.

For the downstairs rooms, you can park at your door. The room had a nice sized small fridge, no freezer, and a microwave. Ice machine is right outside check-in/lobby/breakfast area. Breakfast: In the fridge were microwavable breakfast sandwiches, Yoplait yogurt, 8oz bottles of organic whole milk, OJ, and apple juice. There were also packaged cinnamon rolls, honey buns, different oatmeals, and dry cereal. Regular coffee, but no decaf. I was offered a package, so i could make unlimited decaf in the room. I appreciated the clock in the room actually being set and operating. So many places don't check their clocks. Time zones can be confusing enough without room clocks being set to some random time.
Keith (10/5): Awesome and Hospitable - The ladies working in the office were extremely nice. The breakfast was awesome having that available. The room was extra clean. Beds in our room were firm and comfy. Loved the laminate flooring instead of carpet. It looked like they’ve had some updates, and it was great. We didn’t use the pool, but it was clean and looked very inviting. We stayed overnight on a quick trip and had a great experience. We would definitely stay again.

The hotel is a little bit “worn” but the people are nice and the room was clean. The breakfast was above average. The folks here work hard with what they have and the entire experience was good. J5164WMthomasm (2/5): BED BUGS! BED BUGS! BED BUGS! - I stayed at the Americas Best Value Inn in Winona, MS from Friday, July 7 until Sunday, July 9, 2023, in room 217. I saw a bed bug on the sink while I was shaving Saturday morning. I thought initially that it was a brown tick, since I have seen a tick before. However, I have never seen a bed bug until then; I tried to kill it still thinking that it was a tick. I washed it down the sink. After I took a shower, I notice a couple of red marks; one on my stomach and the other on my inner thighs. Still thinking that what I saw was a tick, I went about my day that Saturday. When I woke up to leave Sunday morning from the hotel, I had more red marks on both of my inner thighs, legs, foot and on my back. When I got back home, I took a shower and showed my wife, who's a nurse. She immediately said that those are bedbugs bites and showed me a picture of a bed bug. I told her that this is what I saw thinking it was a tick. I called Americas Best Value on Monday, July 10 and ask the speak the manager about an issue at the motel. The lady said that I could speak to her about it, so I told her that I stayed in room 217 over the weekend and there are bed bugs in that room, and I wanted you all to know. She basically blew me off and said that people have stayed in that room and haven’t had in issue. I told her that I saw a bed bug; however, I assumed it was a tick and I have bite marks on both of my inner thighs, back of my legs, on my stomach and back. She was silent for a little bit and then reluctantly said that she would check it out. And that was basically the end of the conversation. My first time staying at that motel was on May 21, 2023, after someone told me that it was decent motel. However, I have learned my lesson and will stick to the brand name quality hotels. I just wanted to WARN the next person. After researching bed bugs, they are hard to get rid of and they can spread to other rooms. I hope this hotel takes the necessary measures to clean this room and check other rooms.
