The whole experience at Billi The Salon was lovely and everyone made me feel so comfortable from the moment I walked in. Unfortunately, the cut I asked for wasn’t quite what I received. The cut itself is beautiful and the stylist clearly has talent, but a lot more length was taken off than I wanted. I had been growing my hair for the last two years, so I left feeling a little upset about losing so much of it. Overall still a beautiful salon experience with lovely staff.

• Ness (10/5): Fantastic stay - The hotel facilities were lovely and very clean and stylish. The staff were exceptional and were happy to do anything to make our stay more comfortable. Gigis restaurant was exceptional and the food and staff were amazing. I think the cost per room was excessive given how tiny the rooms are. I would expect to pay that price for a larger room.

Door to the bathroom is narrow if you are a large build person. - The receptionist on duty on the night we arrived provided exceptional service because we were arriving late. She phoned to check our progress because reception cloed at 9:00 pm, in case we needed to use an alternative procedure to access our room key. We had breakfast in the restaurant attached to the hotel. The food was delicious and very well presented. The staff were cheery and communicative. The coffee was top quality. The restaurant is a very pleasant area to dine in. Two black tea bags for a couple staying overnight is inadequate and pretty stingy. A lot of people have multiple cups of tea per day. Sure I can walk to reception and most likely be provided extra but I should not have to do that. No shower cap in the room for my wife to use. I walked to reception to get one. Rubbish removal happened about 6 am according to my wife who was awoken by the noise. That is way too early for travellers.

• Catherine (10/5): comfortable with everything you need onsite for a luxurious stay. - We really enjoyed our stay. the room was tidy, spacious and well stocked. we stayed in the Dawn suite. we liked the little touches like the shortbread and apples - the artwork on the wall was also nice. The bed was large and comfy and the shower had good water pressure and was nice and hot! We ate breakfast at the restaurant down stairs each day and it was always delicious, just a little bit busy on the Saturday morning. I used the gym which was well stocked, but one of the sides of the cable machine was broken, but otherwise fine! I didnt use the pool but it looked like it had a really good vibe - lots of other people were using it for afternoon cocktail hour. We also visited Jila wellness for the infrared sauna which was great to have onsite. Overall, we loved our stay! some bowls/plates and cutlery in the room would be good - we had to ask for some from the restaurant as we neede to have early breakfast one morning. not the end of the world.

It was very modern and comfortable, and the amount of amenities on site added to a very relaxing stay for us. We also loved the pool, gym and wellness center. The food at the restaurant was delicious and worth staying for!

Restaurant was good. - On the second morning the room was not cleaned properly and our used glasses and cups were not replaced for clean ones. We wanted to purchase a flat bread from the restaurant and sit in the outside area by the pool but were not allowed to purchase this. However they did let us buy a wine and so this so found that confusing and disappointing.

• Caryn (6/5): Disappointing. - A good walk to town after a long drive. The hotel room needs maintenance. There was a malodorous smell upon opening the door. Smelt of sewer and did not dissipate in bathroom at all despite door closed and window open. There has been little attention to detail in maintenance all round. Paint work needs patching where there are deep scratches on doors, and door handles changed and not patched. The toilet seat slipped sideways. Looks shabby.

We were there for 3 days and I don’t think our bathroom was really cleaned or wiped over and we had lots of ants ! Also the lock and key access didn’t work very well.

• Yurdanur (8/5): Overall we enjoyed our 2 night stay. - This hotel is recently renovated, room was clean and nicely decorated. We stayed in a twin room, it had a small fridge, tee, coffee maker. Shared areas were nicely maintained, we enjoyed the pool and the steam room and a little gym with 2 thread mills. Restaurant Gigi’s is very nice compared to what you can find in Mudgee. Food was delicious and service was great. Book it in advance if it’s long weekend. Room: a little bit more space would have been nice in the room and outside. I like an outdoor space, if the rooms had a little space at the backyard, with a small table and 2 chairs, it would have been better. Spa was advertised while i was booking it and it was one of the reasons why I chose this hotel but Sauna and the cold plunge rooms were closed even though it was easter long weekend and the hotel was full.

Lovely boutique hotel - Beautiful pool, beautiful rooms, great beds and amazing pillows The walls were a bit thin so we could hear the young girls partying next door until 2.30 am. Unfortunately the front desk is not staffed after 10 pm so we had nobody to complain to and to help us manage the annoying situation

• Natalie (8/5): Fantastic Couples Retreat - Loved the vibe of the whole place, it was exactly as expected! The staff were very friendly, super comfy bed and good amenities (the shortbread cookies were a lovely touch and so yummy!). Would have like the bathroom floor the be a little cleaner, but it was mostly shoe marks from the cleaner possibly walking on floors when they were still wet. Overall, the room was clean and very tidy and housekeeping came in daily (as was our preference). The pool was great! Not the biggest but there were three different groups in there at the same time as us and still enough space for everyone to relax. Wouldn't say it's kid friendly though, definitely more of an adult's escape, as can be seen from the marketing of the "Swim Club" happy hour. We ate at Gigi's on our last night as well - food and wine were fantastic! Only gripe was getting out of the carpark. The bend in the road and on road parking made it a bit hard to see oncoming traffic. If you're driving, would recommend your most confident driver navigate this.

• Joao Nuno (9/5): Excellent breakfast, very clean and very comfortable - Comfortable, clean and well presented, with an excellent breakfast. The loation is good, considering Mudgee is not too big. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is peripheral to the city although, as Mudgee is not too big, you can easily walk anywhere from the hotel.
