• Verified traveler (6/5): Cottage House - The cottage inn was an okay location. The beds were made and looked okay overall. The couch futon was not vacuumed. The windows for the view could be cleaned to be able get a better view of the oceanfront. There were some things that were broken in the inn. It would be better if there was housekeeping available. Overall the booking was okay, I don’t think we would book again.

• SHANNAH (8/5): - The property is absolutely darling and an amazing location with a million dollar view. The unit itself was not very clean. I wiped down surfaces to remove stuck on food and debris. I had to reclean dishes before we could use them. I saw in the welcome journal that others shared similar experiences. Beautiful place to stay though.

• Julie (10/5): - This super cute, cozy, clean cottage has a happy vibe and the most AWESOME view of the ocean!!! We've already planned our next 3 trips. It has EVERYTHING you could need - even measuring spoons if you want to bake. It was very quiet except in the morning on garbage day (Tuesday). The "queen" bed is a small double and not exactly comfortable. For a couple nights, it was fine. We LOVED staying there so much, we don't want to recommend it and not have it available to us. 😉 Just kidding, sort of. EXCELLENT place to stay!

• Amanda (6/5): Great view, not so great room - First thing, the view is amazing. Definitely one of the best. But honestly that and having a kitchen were the only positives. The room was decently clean, but the floors weren’t very clean and there was a random white spot on the couch. The stove wasn’t deep cleaned either, and a lot of the dishes weren’t very clean. There were a few key kitchen things missing as well that seem essential. Pot holders, a cutting board, tongs, even number of plates/bowls/utensils/etc. There were only 3 pillows on the bed and therefore for the whole place. The room slept 4, which is why I chose it because were a family of 4, but there were zero sheets/blankets/pillows for the pull out bed, which was a huge disappointment. Luckily I had 2 blankets in my car, or we would have been out of luck. There were also no blinds or curtains for the back door, so as soon as the sun came up my kids woke up. The amount of towels in the room also made no sense. There was 3 body towels, 1 hand towel, and 1 wash cloth. I’m glad we were only there for 1 night, as I wouldn’t have been able to handle another night.

• Joanna (8/5): - I loved this property!! Fantastic location on the ocean. Great view and spacious. Modern bedroom, bathrooms, kitchen and living room. Loved the balcony on the beach. Lovely towels and linens, soaps and shampoos. However...the floor was filthy and needed a good mopping. The kitchen needed the following: cutting board, hot mitts, corkscrew, bottle opener, scissors, wine glasses, more dinner plates (only had one.), more mugs, glasses, bowls. One standing lamp didn't work and the shade was broken. Master bedroom closet light blinked and sometimes didn't work. Bedroom shades and curtains would be better as blackout curtains, due to exterior building stair lights shining into bedroom window.Would book again if the floors were clean and more items in the kitchen.

• Douglass (8/5): We will be back. - The picture for this property on Hotels.com was of a cottage nearby not the property we reserved. The unit we had was on the third floor. no elevator. View was magnificent and we watched whales swim by. It would have been nice if the property description had told us, it was a third-floor property. Kitchen was minimally stocked. A screen door on the deck would have allowed better air circulation. One was there at one time, but it has been removed. Nice to have two bathrooms. Also, nice to be able to walk to nearby restaurants. Approximately 150 stairs form the beach to the room. This property would not be good for anyone with mobility issues. Still we had a great time and will be back someday.
• Danika (6/5): Beach access not included. Bring a blanket - The captains cottage was cute and fun to stay in. Someone was else’s leftovers were left in the fridge. There were no spare blankets or towels. The blanket on the beds were more like two sheets than an actual blanket or comforter. It was disappointing to have to pay extra to have beach access. I could understand the pool, sort of, but having a beach front property, getting to it should be included in the stay

The kitchen wasn't stocked with the top of the line tools and equipment, but it had everything we needed to make some meals and enjoy the relaxing setting with a perfect ocean view!

I would recommend adding binoculars. It can get pretty loud when people are walking around upstairs. Overall it was a great place for a relaxing visit to the ocean.

• Mike (8/5): housekeeping needs a little more training. - The office staff was great! Housekeeping....sucked. I dont think they cleaned the kitchen/dining at all. Moist crumbs on the couch. Crumbs on the floor, table and counter. Coffee pot had the old filter still in it. Worst of all, there was a towel hanging behind the master bath door. I thought my wife used it. She thought it was mine. It was from the previous guest and we both used it. That warrants some kind of a cash back incentive. That is gross!

So this is listed as having beach access,spa,etc. However when I arrived I was told that there was an additional fee to access the beach or hotel amenities. Next the place needs to be aired out, there is a horrible smell when walking in the door. 3) the noise level was horrible, I could here the people above me, all nightnstomp stomp stomp, child screaming, and dog barking, and parts of their conversations.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Great Property! Wonderful Location - I stay at a lot of hotels (Marriott Ambassador with lifetime Titanium status). I also have kids that work for Ritz Carleton and the Luxury Collection, so I get to stay at some beautiful properties. This was a father and son trip and my son wanted something different and reminiscent of places we stayed at when he was young. We arrived late due to a snowstorm. We called ahead to let the front desk know of our late arrival and they told us not to worry that someone would be there. They said that most restaurants in the area close at 9:00 pm and that we might want to stop for food. This was something we didn’t even consider and were so glad they warned us. Upon arrival, we were taken to our room (not just given a key and directions). We had stayed at The Nines in Portland the night before and we were just as comfortable - we both commented on how well we slept. We had a selection of great restaurants in walking distance. This is a very comfortable property, with super nice staff that caters to your every need. This isn’t a 5-star luxury hotel, so expect simple things like older TV with 2 remotes to control everything, but all well worth it when you sit by your big window in the morning sipping your coffee and staring at an absolutely amazing ocean view. I would highly recommend this property – especially if you’re a fan of great service, friendly people, fantastic views, cleanliness, and comfortable accommodations! Thanks to the entire staff for such a memorable stay!!

Alittle confusing with how where we stayed is different than the hotel and how they want to charge you for their facilites even if they arent open. Other than that it is very clean, alittle outdated, but one of the most beautiful views i have ever seen. Had a full kitchen. Just make sure when you book to look into if its the condos or the actual hotel.
• James (2/5): - This property has a beautiful view of the ocean... HOWEVER it was fraudulently advertised as having internet access, laundry facilities, TV, pool and hot tub. I was told at check-in it did not have internet, laundry is non-existent, TV was not working, and was told that pool and hot tub were an additional purchase. I would not have booked if I knew any of this in advance.
• Butch (8/5): Nye Beach Getaway - In general the place was good, the toilet in the bathroom is right up against the shower doors so you have to open them to use it. Otherwise it was a nice place and a very convenient location to local shops and eateries

• William (8/5): Somewhat Tired Decor - The condo was nice, but not outstanding. No wifi. Dated finishes. One wine glass (yes, just one). Very old range. Could use a refresh of finishes; the overall decor is tired.

• Verified traveler (4/5): - We loved the view and it was quiet. Didn’t hear or even really see the neighbors. However, there were far more ‘cons’ than there were ‘pros’ to this place. Floors were filthy and sticky enough to almost pull the socks off our feet. The shampoo bottles were used and one had a black substance growing in it. The fireplace didn’t work, the screen door was torn from the frame, T.V. remote had dead batteries, no blankets provided for the bed or for the pull out couch, the smoke alarm was dangling by wires from the ceiling, carbon monoxide alarm had a dead battery and didn’t work, the door locks and security were very poor (had to move a dresser in front of the door at night so my 4 year old couldn’t walk out, as turning the door knob opens the door- even when “locked”) no WiFi included for this unit, even though we were told otherwise when we called. I could probably think of a lot more, but I’ll leave it at that. View really is stunning though.

• melinda (8/5): Nice place but needed clarification - Condo 303 was very clean and had a beautiful view of the ocean off the balcony. There were no instructions though, the TV and gas fireplace weren't functional and there was no wifi. There were also no extra pillows or any blankets at all and it did get cold. None of these things were known ahead of time. The front desk was able to get us hooked up to wifi nearby , luckily.
• Verified traveler (10/5): - We were really satisfied with the little apartment-like room. It has a full kitchen and two bathrooms, a nice living room with nothing but an ocean view right outside the sliding glass door leading to the balcony. The fireplace was a beautiful touch for the living area. The beach access was fantastic, we basically had the beach all to ourselves and it was walking distance to charming downtown Nye Beach. Endless beach walking in both directions. The stay was wonderful, clean and overall great.
• Verified traveler (4/5): - I guess I’ll start with the limited good. The front desk person was kind and helpful. The location of the room was nice. It was basically a condo in an apartment complex, with a great view over looking the ocean. Now the not so good. The room itself had potential but it seemed the only part that was cleaned was the bedding and bathrooms. The couch was so gross looking with stains and stuff that we refused to even sit in it. The dining table looked like it hadn’t been wiped down in weeks and was covered in crumbs and stickiness from other guests previous stays and the seating on the balcony was dirty and felt like it could fall apart under you at any moment. Lastly the mattress was very uncomfortable and old enough you could see the grooves where people have slept dipping down in it. Overall we felt gross and uncomfortable in the room and it ruined our trip because we could have gotten something so much nicer for the money spent on it. We definitely don’t plan on staying there again.

No wifi, trash service, or towel service. If we would have stayed another day we would have been out of towels and our trash was overflowing. I plan to stay at the hotel next time for better service.

• Dan (4/5): Great customer service, but........ - Not one to share negative experiences but I must share this. Booked this room per the details with the accommodation on the hotels website and the photos. Much to my surprise I was shocked. The unit was a throw back to the 70’s from the appliances to the beds. There was a lack of maintenance with this unit, the beds where terrible, dust was everywhere and the floor was filthy - white socks turned dirty almost instantly. None operation fan in the bathroom and a lack of circulation within the unit. Very disgusting and not as described. I will say that Nye Beach Inn manages the booking process for these units and once I voiced my concerns they went over and beyond accommodating us for the remainder of the nights. I would stay at the Nye Beach Inn again but never in these units that I originally booked.
• Gerry (10/5): - Great ocean front view. Nicely set up with comfortable furniture and sleeping accommodations. Easy access to the beach. If you are a coffee drinker bring Kuerig pods for the coffeemaker or ground coffee for the French press. Had access to WiFi, Neflix and Amazon Prime.
• Verified traveler (10/5): - The condo was really nice! We really enjoyed our stay. We loved the view of the ocean from the patio.
• Stephanie (6/5): reat Ocean View condo needs updating. - The location is great and the town is great. The place had no wifi and I needed it for work and hotels.com said it did have wifi. The hotel attatched , managing the condos, should require all the condos to purchase. Group wifi plan. It's a simple solutiin and was a major disappointment. The floor was really dirty, the condo is old and needs basic repairs like a closet door that wont open near the bathroom, silverware from 1980s needs to be recycled and they need to purchase new. There was one creamer packet for my 2 day stay with 2 people. A blender purchase would be wise. Great view of ocean.
• Rebecca (10/5): - The view is spectacular from the condo that is situated on a cliff. It appears that all or most of the rooms have the same view. The beach is accessible via a long stairway that is quite safe and not terribly steep, but not for everyone. You could get to the beach easily just down the street at the public access. I went for the view and it exceeded my expectations. My condo was very clean and well appointed. There is an issue that is common to most hotels. Pillows need to come in more than one size. A large fluffy pillow is great for some but not for all. It would be nice to offer a flatter pillow and extra blankets. The bed was quite comfortable. The price is very reasonable for a beach property. All in all, I highly recommend Nye Beach Condos and Cottages. Staff was polite and helpful.
• Sean (6/5): - The view and location is great. The decir was very cute. However, the couch and bed were old and uncomfortable. If the furniture was replaced, this room would be great.
• Traci (10/5): - The hot tub was amazing and they do this great wine social on Saturdays hosted by Andrew...amazing and a great start to our trip! Very friendly staff.
• S&K (10/5): - Wonderful location, sweeping ocean view, easy walk to cafes and shops. Excellent complimentary breakfast.
