- P292ICpeterm (10/5): Super hotel with wonderful staff - Hotel Xenia has quickly become my home from home whenever I visit London. It's perfectly situated between Gloucester Road and Earl's Court tube stations, just over 5 minutes walk from each. The Royal Albert Hall is also within walking distance (15-20 minutes). The hotel is clean, light and airy. For this visit I had a room on the second floor overlooking Cromwell Road, and found it perfectly quiet thanks to the well-insulated windows. The staff here are all excellent. Natalia and Khaled greeted me warmly on arrival and made sure I had everything I needed in order to enjoy my stay. My thanks also to Abi, Adelina, Haider and Allesh for their friendly service during my visit. Breakfast at their La Terrazza restaurant was a wonderful way to start the day, made extra special by Alejandro and his dedicated team. I can't wait to return!

- RoyaltyC (8/5): Fantastic time at hotel Xenia - I arrived at around 2 pm on a Sunday and was greeted with a warm welcome. I was so happy that the room was ready. The reception staff was super helpful. He booked an afternoon tea reservation at the hotel's restaurant for me on the following Saturday. The room was tiny and clean. The bathroom got a nice shower with good water pressure. The bed is very comfortable with lots of pillow. I could hear plumbing from the room above. The location is ideal 15 minute walk to Kensington Gardens and Kensington High Street where there are many shops and restaurants. 15 minute walk in the other direction is the Natural History Museum. I even walked to Harrods one day. The wi-fi worked well. I loved my 9 night stay. The afternoon tea at the restaurant was amazing (35 GBP). The sandwiches, scones and little cakes were so good. The staff was attentive. There was even live music (piano). I would try other meals at the hotel's restaurant la Terrazza but did not have time . There is a good size TV with good TV station selection. This is my new favourite London hotel. It's a short distance to 2 tube stations and the bus stop is even closer. Many thanks to the staff at reception on an early Tuesday morning who called a taxi for me. Uber kept cancelling on me because the hotel is on a busy street.

All the staff were truly exceptional—friendly, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect. The breakfast was amazing, with a great variety and high-quality options to start the day. Alejandro is amazing, great ambassador for this hotel. He really looked after us , super service along with all the other wonderful staff. A real highlight was the access to the David Lloyd gym next door, which is absolutely fabulous and adds so much value to the stay. The only slight downside was that the rooms are on the smaller side, but they are well-maintained and comfortable, so it didn’t take away from the overall experience. Overall, a fantastic hotel that I would happily return to and highly recommend.

The room was small but spotless and the staff is so friendly and accommodating. Albino, the host in the restaurant was incredible. We look forward to coming back!
- arabgamingp (10/5): Excellent hotel - My favourite boutique hotel in London. Location, service, amenities, room are excellent. The hotel fuses Italian with English and is in the middle of London, a short walk the center. The breakfast is delicious and the spa access with David Lloyd makes is a perfect evening treat. The beds are very comfortable and rooms are pretty soundproof.

The room was small. The bed took up most of the space. It was difficult opening the suitcases and had to use the aisle space to do so. There was no plug in the bathroom to use the hairdryer.

The hotel itself is located in between a couple tube stations for convenience and is in a neighborhood. There are lots of restaurant and shopping opportunities nearby. The rooms are small but clean. I would stay here again! The restaurant in the hotel has decent food, we sat in the bar one night and ordered a glass of wine and a charcuterie board, which was fantastic!

- TheSelectiveGuest (10/5): Couldn't Have Done More to Address my Concern.... - I initially wrote a poor review for this hotel based on a real concern with a service issue. The General Manager of the hotel took the time to sit with me and listen to me. He had investigated and apologized that his staff member had been at fault and he had addressed a training need. I have stayed at this hotel many times over many years and am a returning guest. I am putting my very negative experience down as a "one off" with the hotel addressing a training need for one staff member so the issue will not re-occur. The Italian restaurant manger remains a "mainstay" of this hotel. He works far too hard to keep his guests happy - I hope Marriott give him the luxury vacation at a 5* resort he deserves, he is part of the reason I return to this hotel :-)

Albino’s warm greeting every morning, his constant smile, and his professionalism at breakfast were the perfect boost to start the day. Together with Javer and Pamela, he always paid great attention to every guest, making everyone feel genuinely cared for. Connie’s homemade cakes were delicious and gave the mornings a truly ‘sweet’ start. The room was spotless and very comfortable, and everything ran smoothly thanks to the excellent leadership and ‘direction’ of the outstanding General Manager, Paolo Guarini. I had a fantastic experience and I will definitely be back

- carlocG522OH (10/5): Wonderful Experience! - Wonderful experience here with my wife. The staff was absolutely outstanding, and we'd return just to see them again. Pamela, Olga, Sandip, Alejandro, and the entire team was world class. The restaurant at the hotel is actually owned by the hotel, so the service and quality was top notch (and the food was delicious). There's a five-star gym almost next door that's free for hotel guests. Two Tube stations are within a short walk. Highly recommend!
- ChuckVickie (10/5): Hotel Gem in Kensington - This hotel in Kensington is a gem. It is very convenient with two tube stops close by. The rooms are very clean but small however this is London and we were out exploring most of the time. What sets this hotel apart is the customer service. From the staff members that greet you at the door, front desk staff and the manager who thanked us for staying when we got ready to leave, we always felt welcome. Above and beyond that are the staff in the restaurant. I want to particularly point out Gosia, Albino and Alejandro. Every morning they greeted us like family. Alejandro even remembered us from the previous year. We couldn’t ask for a better place to stay when we come to London.

- ALocalNeighbor (10/5): Amazing staff & delicious homemade food at in-hotel restaurant - This hotel has many advantages, including a very convenient location, ultra-clean rooms, and attractive public spaces, but the thing that really sets it apart is the adjoining La Terrazza restaurant. At the hotel, all of the staff members were kind and helpful, but the restaurant staff truly went above and beyond in a genuine way to make our stay feel personal and special. The food at La Terrazza was equally outstanding, including homemade breakfast cakes and traditional Italian dishes made with great care and high-quality ingredients (check the menus!). If there was one drawback, it was that our room with a king-size bed was in the "English basement" lower level (a kind of half basement room), which meant the window (which was large and did open, thankfully) could provide fresh air but not enough sunlight. Also, the basement room and the bathroom were quite small. As we were with a group, we could see the upper-level rooms -- and we would request those in the future. Note that the rooms with "twin beds" could have worked for a couple, because the beds were pushed together.

My stay was originally planned for seven days, but I ended up extending it by a few extra days. Abi at the front desk went above and beyond to make sure I could stay in the same room without any interruption—an act of thoughtfulness that set the tone for the entire visit. Every morning, I was welcomed with warmth and kindness by the wonderful morning team: Albino, Gosia, Asrar, Yuliyan, and Aria. Their smiles and friendly words helped me start each day on the perfect note and made the experience feel personal and genuine. And then there is Connie, the incredible pastry chef. Not only are her creations unforgettable, but she even shared the recipe for her fig crumb cake with me—please, make sure you try a slice during your stay. It is absolute heaven! On the final afternoon, Albino made certain I had a tea to take on my trip back to Heathrow. You are a gem Albino! I’m already looking forward to my follow-up trip and returning to what truly feels like my second home at Hotel Xenia. - Noraatc (10/5): The absolute best choice and four time in a row for me. - It was my fourth stay at this lovely boutique hotel. As always, I got a free upgrade as a Gold Marriott Bonvoy member, which was much appreciated as well as a small refrigerator which was brought into my room. The room was well appointed with very comfortable bed and crispy clean sheets. The bathroom was small, but not tiny as in many London hotels (L’Occitane toiletries was a very classy touch). There was an unexpected power outage in my room, but I was promptly offered another room for the night and in the morning was upgraded to the king size room, which was just excellent. The hotel staff was very professional and understanding handling my room problem. In general, service is top-notch and this is one of many reasons I remain a loyal guest of this charming property. The welcome gift of delicious biscuits and chocolate was waiting in my room upon my arrival. It was so nice! The neighborhood is the absolute best - there is no place like South Kensington to make me blissfully happy. The museum quarter is 15 minutes walk from the hotel as well as Royal Albert Hall and Kensington Gardens. And having Sainsbury Supermarket around the corner is a huge plus. The Waitrose Supermarket is within five minutes walk. Thank you, lovely Xenia Hotel, for making my yearly trip to London so wonderful!

It's my favourtie place to stay for the incredible service in the hotel and the amazing London location. Staff was welcoming the room is lovely and the restaurant is delicious. Reccomend it especially if you look to go for a morning jog as Hyde Park is a mile away.

The staff is super friendly in particular at the reception, but also at the restaurant where Albino and Gosha had pampered our breakfast time! The atmosphere is very friendly. They really make you feel at home.. their rooms are cozy , clean and very comfortable. This is not my first time at the Xsenia hotel and I will definitely come back.!!
- Saskatoon8 (10/5): Great location, great hotel, amazing staff - We recently stayed at the Hotel Xenia for 8 nights while on a leisure trip to the UK. The location of the hotel in Earl's Court was great, a short 2 blocks from the tube station which has great access to the District, Circle, and Piccadilly lines. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by the front desk staff, assisted with our bags, and thanked for being Platinum Elite members. We were given an overview of the hotel, a summary of what to expect at breakfast and then handed our room keys, which was a room that had a balcony. While the balcony was amazing, the bed in the room was up against the wall which did not work for us. The front desk staff immediately changed us to a room that had a bed that had access from three sides, as we preferred, and took us to view the room prior to making the change. This change was much appreciated as we were there for a longer stay. While the rooms are compact, they are spotless and have everything required for a comfortable stay including coffee and tea making facilities, robes, slippers, and bathroom amenities. The AC was great as we also enjoy a cooler room. The bathroom had a large walk in shower with great supply of hot water and great water pressure. Breakfast was superb. A consistent selection of scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, sausages- pork and chicken, bacon, fried mushrooms, assorted pastries, cereals, fresh fruits, yogurts, and spreads. All items on the menu were also presented and available for order including avocado toasts, Eggs Benedicts, and poached eggs to order. I cannot say enough about the staff in the restaurant- we dined there every morning and for one dinner. By the second morning, we were greeted by name, our room number was known, as was our coffee order. Albino and Hassan were particularly personable and a delight to chat with but honestly all of the staff were, even when we did not specifically note their names. Overall a wonderful experience at Hotel Xenia!

As others have mentioned Haydar is fabulous, really fantastic service. Room has lots and lots of high end toiletries and fluffy robes etc etc. The rooms are just sooooo tiny. I know it's London but a 500$ a night i couldn't stay for more than 1 on business it's quite claustrophobic.

- rgottesman (10/5): Amazing Staff in a Great Boutique Hotel - Had an amazing stay at the Hotel Xenia AGAIN in lovely London Kensington. The location is ideal (close to shops, restaurants, and two great parks - Holland Park, Hyde Park, among others), and the rooms (while petit) are comfortable and quiet and well appointed. The front desk staff and lobby folks are very helpful and quick; they feel like family. Everyone is so helpful with directions, questions, or needs. The breakfast in La Terraza is the best around, hence my return. They serve hot and cold items like eggs, sausage, bacon, yogurt, fruit, nuts, cheeses, cold cuts, over 6 fresh breads and pastries, and my all time favorite - the fresh fruit selection, including freshly pressed juices too. Really is a great breakfast. For dinner, you must try the basic penne pasta with tomato sauce and basil. Something about it is incredibly delicious. The pasta and sauce together are among the best I've had anywhere. While I receive nothing but the best service from this restaurant staff and bar, I need to give a quick shout out to Olga, who has been working this restaurant for eons, and always welcomes me with a smile, remembers my name, and gives impeccable service. I'd be lying if I didn't admit she is one of the reasons I return to the hotel, and the restaurant. Thank you Olga for your warm and friendly service! And thank you to the entire team at Xenia. I will be back anytime I'm in London.

We had an enjoyable 3-night stay in London before our cruise, and the Hotel Xenia was perfect base for our visit. The entire staff was welcoming and attentive from the moment we were met at the sidewalk to help us with our luggage. We arrived early for check-in and our room was ready. As at many boutique hotels in London, guest rooms are a bit smaller, but our room was well-appointed, bright, clean, and stocked with Nespresso, coffee and teas, and hot water pot. We had a lovely afternoon tea in La Terrazza, the small restaurant/bar on property. Delicious sandwiches, teas, scones, jam/clotted cream, and desserts. Our host, Albino, and entire staff provided excellent, personal service. We met Mr. Guarini, the General Manager, at check-out, and he really cares that every guest has a great stay. We highly recommend the Xenia, and would return the next time we visit London.

Mr. Paolo Guarini, the General Manager, and his exceptional team went above and beyond at every step, and their passion, professionalism, and warmth truly made my stay unforgettable. The property is impeccably maintained, with a modern elevator and attention to every detail that immediately makes you feel at home. Housekeeping was flawless—always replenishing water, providing my preferred L’Occitane toiletries, and happily accommodating my request for a small fridge for my medication. Breakfast quickly became a highlight, with the Eggs Benedict Royale perfectly prepared every morning. I especially want to commend Alejandro, the restaurant manager, who from day 2 onward personally ensured my breakfast experience was flawless, and Albino, who always welcomed me with the best cappuccino. A particularly memorable moment was when my stay needed to be extended by a day due to a flight change—Mr. Guarini made it happen within minutes, keeping the same room and rate. This level of care and attention makes a guest feel truly valued. While not the cheapest Marriott in London, the value, service, and genuine kindness of the team make every penny worthwhile. They don’t just recognize Platinum Elites—they anticipate your needs and make you feel truly at home. Next time, I hope to enjoy the swimming pool, sauna, and fitness facilities, which I know can be arranged via the Concierge team. I now consider this property my home away from home when I'm in London, and I will happily return. We took advantage of the lounge area in the evenings. Location is perfect. You are between two tube stops - Gloucester and Earls Court and you are in walking distance to the V&A and History Museum. It is easy to walk here and this area felt very safe. We would definitely stay here again.

I have stayed at hundreds of different Marriotts around the world, but Xenia Autograph Collection is by far the best. The staff are attentive to needs you didn’t even know you had thanks to Arya and Pamela. We arrived at 4.30 pm and I asked about afternoon tea and the chef baked scones just for me!!! I was blown away. If you want to feel special, have an excellent breakfast and a glass of wine before retiring to your spacious and bright room with a comfy bed, the staff goes over and above to make you feel welcome and valued.

From a warm welcome to a handshake from the GM, the hotel has been excellent. My room was compact but spotless and felt brand-new. The on site restaurant and bar were fabulous - friendly, efficient, and very tasty. The entire staff was friendly and completely on-spot. The breakfast spread (complimentary for Platinum+) was generous with pretty much everything I needed, and again the manager and staff were incredible. This is a proper hotel, with staff in suits rather than golf shirts, linen towels in the public toilets, soft music, and plush furnishings. Absolutely thrilled to have found this property.
