Cooperstown has an interesting history to explore and it was nice to return to the great spaces within the Landmark Inn. The bed in our suite was probably the most comfortable I ever slept in! The staff were so welcoming. Be sure to take your breakfasts at the Inn. Both mornings delivered delicious food. Luckily we also happened to be there for a special dessert tasting event. A lot of sugar but worth it!!

The hospitality is warm and comfortable, both professional and genuine. It's delightful to stay in so charming a property without sacrificing the exceptional cleanliness and convenience of the modern updates. The breakfasts are top-notch. Both presentation and service elevate the experience. It's the extra touches, such as high quality bacon, fresh fruit garnish and generous portions that exceed expectations. Their bespoke coffee mugs are very fun. Dinner recommendations were both excellent. The location is perfect, easily walkable to the Baseball Hall of Fame and Main Street, with restaurants and shops. While our primary focus in going to Cooperstown was the Hall of Fame, Landmark Inn enhanced our experience beyond what we anticipated. Highly recommend and would stay nowhere else in Cooperstown.

- jll332 (10/5): A Wonderful Weekend Getaway! - We had the pleasure of staying at the Landmark Inn for the second time, and once again, we absolutely loved it. The location is ideal—just a short, easy walk to Main Street, which makes getting around very convenient. We stayed in the Chance Suite, which was lovely—beautifully maintained, very comfortable, and immaculately clean. Breakfast was included and was truly a highlight of our stay. Each morning featured a different entrée, and every dish was delicious. If I had one minor critique, it would be the coffee—we tend to prefer it a bit stronger. That said, the dining room itself was tastefully decorated, and the music they played added a wonderful ambiance to start the day. What truly sets this B&B apart, however, is the people. The owners and staff elevate the entire experience. Everyone was exceptionally kind, welcoming, and attentive. Nick at the front desk was especially friendly and offered great dinner recommendations. The dining room staff were thoughtful and attentive throughout our stay. Keith, one of the owners, was incredibly warm and engaging—we really enjoyed chatting with him. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Better than staying at an airbnb or big hotel, you get the charm of a period home (mansion) that's tastefully decorated and designed with luxurious, yet comfortable feel. The breakfast is amazing, with touches like fresh baked cookies everyday and coffee, tea always available. My daughter and I do a Christmas time getaway every December. This year we wanted a cozy B&B within 2 hours of home to relax and catch-up. When we arrived it was like entering a Hallmark movie. The snow was gently falling while we were warmly greeted by the owner, John. He brought our luggage to our beautifully appointed room. Our room had fireplace and a large bathroom with double sinks and a sauna. The shower was updated with several shower spray options. Because of the snow, many shops were closed but our room was so comfortable we decided to catch up on Christmas movies and enjoyed relaxing and sipping wine in the main living room enjoying both the fireplace and Christmas tree. The breakfast each morning was freshly made by Vita. Elizabeth and Amy made sure our coffee cups and our stomachs were full. I would highly recommend the Landmark Inn for a cozy, comfy winter getaway. You won’t be disappointed.

Room was immaculate, with many antique furnishings throughout the Inn that have been lovingly cared for and preserved. Breakfasts were outstanding (leek and spinach quiche, with apple cider-basted sausage; rosemary and lemon French toast with lemon curd, REAL maple syrup and bacon cooked to perfection; pancakes with berries - each BEYOND delicious!). Chef Vita is happy to accommodate dietary restrictions - she takes great care to make sure you're nourished with nutritious food. Staff were so welcoming and eager to please, from the minute I walked through the door and was greeted by John Henry, to the care given by Elizabeth, Amy and Aislinn. Truly a wonderful stay and I can't wait to go back!

They are available and attentive but not hovering. Their breakfasts are healthy, decadent and special. We stayed in the Cooper room and thoroughly enjoyed the quiet and comfort of our stay. Matching the old world charm of the town, this Inn is comfortable and clean. If you're looking for boring white walls and plastic "wood" floors this isn't the place for you. Thoroughly immerse yourself in the history of Cooperstown and this hotel.

- drichman (10/5): A Beautiful Two Days at the Landmark Inn - We had the pleasure of spending a couple of days at The Landmark Inn this week and enjoyed every moment of our stay. From the check in, handled by John Henry to our departure two days later, every detail of our stay at this beautiful Inn was accounted for. The grounds were gorgeous (our only regret is that Cooperstown suffered a cold snap during our stay which limited our ability to fully explore and enjoy the grounds though we did manage to enjoy the fire pit both nights of our stay) and the room extremely comfortable. Breakfast, prepared by the wonderful Vita, was delicious. My wife and I are both gluten free and the staff ensured that both breakfasts met our needs without sacrificing a thing. Vita even went so far as to leave gluten free cookies by the reception desk, a great surprise. All told a wonderful few days in Cooperstown made all the better by our stay at the Landmark Inn
- CapeTr (10/5): One of the best B&B's anywhere - We attended a baseball tournament in Cooperstown in early July and weren't able to book any of the local hotels. We then searched for a bed and breakfast and found the Landmark. Easily, the best we have ever stayed at. Our room was immaculate and the breakfasts were creative, delicious and definitely chef prepared. The owners and all the staff were friendly and very gracious. We would stay there again in a heart beat.

A touch of the finest while maintaining the 160+ years of charm... - Details are so important and there are so many that add up to a great stay at Landmark Inn. From chipmunk watching in the Adirondack chairs to the Chef made pancakes. It really is a unique experience. Fire pits in the evening, say wha! Linens and toiletries are grand. If you ever need anything, they will make it happen. We love Landmark and we don't see a change in our annual stays going forward. Treat yourself if you are there for a special occasion to the Campenella Suite. The fireplace is nice to cozy up to read. *Water for your room is a great touch.

- kevinwI6297MK (10/5): About perfect... - Sometimes the universe just works with you. While planning a last minute visit to Cooperstown, we were fortunate to reach owner John at the Landmark Inn. He did indeed have a room available for two travelers flying by the respective seats of their pants, and we arrived the next day to find perfect accommodations. Our suite was wonderfully appointed, and we enjoyed some wine and cheese on our private side porch before walking a few short blocks to dinner. Upon our return to The Inn from our delicious meal, we found a s'more kit for two and a perfect fire built in the back yard. Our next day's breakfast was about perfect, and we even took advantage of that sweet side porch one more time to enjoy an additional carafe of coffee. I will say, it was hard to leave such an idyllic spot, but we are very much looking forward to our return.

I didn’t catch the lady’s name who gave me the coffee, but she was super friendly and hilarious. The rest of the staff was absolutely amazing. The dining and living rooms were beautiful. This place far exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this if you go to Cooperstown.

The room itself was pleasant—the bed sheets were extraordinary, but the mattress was very much on the firm side (more to my wife’s liking than to mine). The bathroom is quite nice, but the maze of handles and nozzles in the shower was hard to decipher. We had to leave before getting a chance to experience the breakfast (the first seating was not until 8), but the smells coming from the kitchen suggested that it is worthwhile.

The bed and pillows were very comfortable and allowed for a good nights sleep while the oversized shower with multiple shower heads was a great way to start the day. Breakfasts were delicious. We had stuffed pancakes with super crisp bacon one day and quiche with sausage another. The mango smoothie that was served was so unexpected and delicious. The entire staff was extremely accommodating and went out of their way to make sure that we had a great experience. Would definitely stay again if ever we revisited Cooperstown.

Our rooms (pet friendly, our border collie joined us) were tasteful, immaculate and comfortable. No detail has been overlooked, in our rooms, for example, there were fluffy linens, comfy robes, delightful toiletries, white noise machines (though, not necessary, very quiet at night) and more! Our favorite amenity had to be the dog welcome bag! Our pup enjoyed it too! The breakfast, and available treats are lovingly prepared and absolutely delicious! The inn keepers and staff made our stay a pleasure, we want to return as soon as possible! What a gem!

Keith greeted us and insisted on helping us get our luggage from the car. Plenty of parking and the grounds are lovely and inviting - so many areas to sit and relax and just enjoy the beautiful setting. The common areas are beautifully decorated and furnished - not fussy, but with an eye to comfort and a feeling of welcome. Very happy with our room from the modern amenities of the glassed in shower to the ability to control temperature. Bed very comfortable and linens so soft and smooth! Everything is so clean! From the exterior to the interior it is obvious a lot of thought, time and money has gone into all aspects of this grand old house. The breakfast is a set menu each day with 2 seatings and the service and presentation is perfect. Dining area bright and beautiful with fresh flowers on each table. Menu changes daily. Enjoyed the omelet and fruit as well as the coffee and juice. Area set up for self service coffee all day and night and snacks of chips and pretzels, homemade (delicious!) chocolate covered coconut cookies and fruit. There was a fire going in the fire pit in the backyard the night we were there and you could pick up a s'mores kit and make your own s'mores. It is these small touches that add to the overall welcoming nature of this inn and make you want to return. It is a quiet, beautiful lovingly, thoughtfully restored grand old inn that is run with a philosophy of making guests feel welcome and at home. Also, can easily walk to all major draws in Cooperstown from the inn.

Innkeeper Nick was very pleasant (I like your hair style Nick) and accommodating. We met the chef who whipped up a batch of cookies just before we left and ran outside, literally, to hand deliver the cookies. Breakfast was absolutely divine. We will definitely recommend to others and plan on returning this summer.

My shower had four shower heads! This was a real treat for someone who lives with one miserable water-saving shower. All the details -- the quality of the glassware, the watered bottle, the treats, the linens, the common areas, the magazines, all of it -- made for a luxurious stay. The breakfast was top notch. The staff was attentive and generous. I was in a first floor room and had my own little porch which was sweet even in the cold. Upon Arrival, Nick was great. Full of knowledge about the Inns history, polite and welcoming. Our room was clean, nicely maintained and made us feel at home. The welcome kit for our dog was over the top. A blanket, bowl, toys and treats!!! My favorite part, besides the staff was the food. They took my gluten free request and ran with it and never made me feel as if I was a burden because I needed a “special” meal. Two days of the best gluten free food I have ever had. The only downside about my stay, would be the at I had to leave. The owners (John and Keith) are welcoming, friendly, hand on and completely awesome. Landmark Inn I WILL se you again!

- MauricetheTraveler (8/5): Nice stay at the Landmark Inn - We had a very nice time at the Inn. It's lovely, the staff is excellent, the room was comfortable and made up nicely. The bathroom was especially nice and modern. The breakfasts were terrific, we hope Vita is still there for friends we recommend. The only thing I would mention is that our room didn't connect to the inside of the Inn. You had to go outside and go to the front door. Not a big problem for us, the weather was not that cold, but I recommend asking where the room is located. All in all, a very nice and relaxing stay. Oh, excellent home made cookies and hot chocolate. Town has a great bakery.

A beautiful home - so comfortable, clean and thoughtfully designed - and close (walking distance) to the Baseball Hall of Fame. The people here are magnificent! Vita (the chef who makes a delightfully delicious breakfast for guests each day, bakes cookies and shares great suggestions about local dining options for lunch and dinner), Amy (who serves breakfast with efficiency and a smile), the housekeeping staff and Nick (who provides a thoughtful check-in tour and fixes the Nespresso machine when a guest inadvertently resets it 😇). A special treat was meeting one of the owners, Keith, at breakfast on our last day - no surprise that the staff is friendly and accommodating because Keith is, too! We stayed in the Campanella suite and our friend in the Chance suite - both are great. Listen to Vita about the dining suggestions - we did and had great meals at Mel’s (Brian’s fried haddock is very tasty), the Doubleday Cafe (chili is spicy and delicious) and Toscana (meal portions here are very large, easy to share and really good - the best chicken parmigiana!). Cooperstown is a very welcoming community. Great history. Great people.

This stunning historic home has been meticulously restored, preserving the beauty of a classic 1800s mansion while updating it with all the modern touches needed for today’s comfort. Nick welcomed us in and taught us a bit of history about the property. Our Hemingway room was a perfect way to relax at the end of a long day of walking, shopping, and eating. Cozy bed, comfy sitting chair and writing desk in a beautifully minimally decorated room, with high ceilings and art reminiscent Hemingway’s great adventures. The bathroom is modern elegant with all the finishing touches and amenities of a 5 star luxury hotel. In the morning, the sitting area was a beautiful way to start the day, sitting in front of the fire with a cup of tea and a good book. The finishing touch was breakfast. Vita is a fantastic chef. The rosemary lemon French toast with homemade bread topped with fruit lemon curd and maple syrup was probably one of the most spectacular breakfasts I have ever had, my husband, (not a foodie) asked for seconds! The bread was perfectly prepared with the earthy scent of the rosemary contrasted with the tartness of the lemon curd finished with the sweetness of the fruit and the real maple syrup was amazing. Now I have to figure out how to try to replicate it. I heard she makes terrific pancakes. Will have to come back soon for that. So happy to have found this gem!!!!

You'll be enchanted by the 1850s homestead converted to a B&B, beautiful antique furniture and decor, and the fantastic art painted by local artists. Come as you are because everything about the Landmark Inn is meant to be inclusive. The wonderful owners, Keith & John, and their staff are kind, genuine, and committed to providing guests a great experience. We stayed in the Chance Suite, a huge room with a private entrance, super comfy bed and pillows, dream shower, and jacuzzi tub stocked with signature bath and body products by Hudson Made. Breakfast is prepared with herbs and veggies from their garden. Dietary restrictions are thoughtfully accommodated. We were served Pumpkin pancakes, an Omelette Roll, and a Boursin souffle during our three-day stay. Clean Plate Club! Breakfast recipes are happily shared with guests—just ask! Pick up your S'mores package at the front desk. Roast your marshmallows at the fire pit in the large yard behind the inn. Lounge in a gigantic hammock as you stare at a million stars in the sky. Late-night munchies? On the way to your room, grab complimentary snacks and homemade cookies and thoughtfully set out for you after the staff goes home for the night. Landmark has taken great care to source everything locally. - Elizabeth (10/5): - If I could give 6 stars I would!! If you like to stay in historic B&Bs then this is the perfect one! Everything was perfect from start to finish. The 1850 house is beautifully restored but with a little modern twist to some of the accessories. The breakfasts were outstanding in a lovely dining room with fireplace served by a caring staff. We were there in the fall so it was cool, but the grounds would be great in the summer. They have thought of everything!
- Natorzmom (10/5): This is the one! Stop looking... - AMAZING! You won't be disappointed. Outside firepit was such a cute touch with smores. Innkeepers go above and beyond; John built us an afternoon fire which was so nice due to the chilly fall weather. Sitting areas are wonderful inside to sit by the fire and read. We stayed in the Twain room and it was just perfect for us. Two sinks with a beautiful rainfall shower. Linens were very nice. We loved that you could have fresh new water carafes everyday. Breakfast was so fun. We are up to anything so each morning was a nice suprise to see what was offered; we were very happy with the amount and how fresh everything was. Try the smoothie enhancement; so good! Everyone who works there is super friendly and wants your stay to be the best it can be. It's a touch bit higher in price then other Inns in the area but SO worth each penny spent; promise!!! We are planning our annual May trip already to come back. The only way it could have been any better is if we were allowed to have J&K's sweet pup up for the night since we missed our four legged baby so much.

- Charlotte (9/5): A beautiful place to stay in a lovely town. The inn is clean, cosy and welcoming. They have everything covered for the b - A beautiful property in a lovely location. Staff were very friendly, breakfast was tasty. Our first taste of pumpkin pancakes in keeping with the time of the visit and they tasted great! My only gripe was the noise coming from next door. The neighbours and their tv were quite loud, however they did switch off by 11.30 and I feel If we had asked the owners to move our room they probably would have done as they were so accommodating with everything else. Also the neighbours left the next day and we had a really peaceful nights sleep. We were invited to do s’mores on our second and last evening but we were so tired after a round trip to Niagra that we went straight to bed but the invitation was a lovely gesture. We would go back in the future 100 percent.

- slkuelkd113 (8/5): Pricey, but nice - This is an attractive, updated 1870s mansion on a large lot. It's a very short walk to the center of Cooperstown. The staff are very pleasant, and my room was quite nice. My room (Casey's Room) was also off-the-charts expensive! Definitely not worth the price charged. I can definitely recommend this inn, but make sure you're comfortable with the price you're paying.
- joycepX2841JX (10/5): Deserves a repeat stay! - My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 4 day stay during the first week of October! Our trip was to enjoy the Baseball Hall of Fame and we were fortunate to discover The Landmark Inn which was an absolute delight! It was obvious that every detail of decor and accomodation was thoughtfully and carefully curated to make guests feel at home and special. Everyone was wonderfully welcoming and we appreciated experiencing the area through their eyes. In addition to how beautiful the Inn is, the location is perfect and we felt so at home with the easy walking distance access to Cooperstown. The early fall, with just enough chill to enjoy the fire in the evenings and sitting on Adirondack chairs on our porch with coffee and loving the view of the beautiful lawn and changing leaves was a perfect time to visit! And of course, breakfast was AMAZING! I absolutely recommend The Landmark Inn and would love to return!

Our room was well decorated, comfortable, and clean. The bathroom was beautiful. The food was excellent and there are so many details that make staying here so pleasant. The location is within walking distance to the Hall of Fame, restaurants, etc. We hope to stay here again.

The communication was excellent from the time we booked our reservation to the day of our departure. We were greeted by Nick—Innkeeper--who was so welcoming and helpful. Nick asked if we needed help bringing in our luggage and he brought it to our room and answered all of our questions. We stayed in the Hemingway Room which is located at the top of the stairs. The room was perfect. The Landmark Inn is a beautiful Inn and the people made us feel right at home. The location of the Inn to the Baseball Hall of Fame, Main Street and Restaurants is an easy 8 minute walk. The excellent communication continued when we were asked if we would like to sit by the fire later that night and roast some marshmallows. We met 3 other couples and had a great time talking about baseball. The next morning we had a delicious meal prepared by Vita—Chef. It was a 5 star meal. The staff serving our meal were equally helpful. Good job everyone!!! Thanks so much.

Everything was fresh, delicious and homemade. It was served in a formal dining room by friendly professional staff. My husband and I could not think of single negative comment about our stay at this inn.
