Cabins were comfortable and reasonably equipped. The cabin was outdated and the internet was poor. The pool was cool and refreshing but needed a clean.

- Lisa (8/5): Amazing laid back vibe with cool cabin accomodation! - Been staying here for 10 years (ex Jan 2025) We love the shady and laid back vibe! The pool, games room and bbq areas are all well kept! We spotted possums at night with our torch which was very cool. Hand fed a Kookaburra and enjoyed hearing all the birds day in and day out! The cabin is perfectly air condition and well appointed We love coming here for our yearly family holiday! Cant wait to be back next Jan!!!

The games room, pool, playground, large barbecue areas and beautiful grounds were great. Only minor things. There was not everything in the kitchen that you needed. The inventory needs to be kept up to date. Also, most of the barbecues weren’t clean. Even though it’s up to the user to leave it clean, it needs to be checked daily. The bbq also needs checking to make sure it’s turned off. We found one still alight one morning.

The location is amazing and so close to the sand dunes which is a great view. The staff were absolutely lovely and so kind. It would be great to have some salt/pepper, oil, and other staples as we didn’t realise we had to buy them. The front door was also hard to lock. Apart from that everything was great!

- Emma (10/5): Lovely Dog Friendly accommodation with all the facilities one needs/wants - Spacious, 2 bedroom bungalow, which was dog friendly which my dogs loved. Retreat is not too big so fairly quiet even during school holidays. Great facilties. Staff were wonderful and made us feel very welcome. Close to sand dunes and Anna Bay shopping centre. Will defintely stay again. Didn't have many TV stations available to view. I was glad I took my laptop to access the rest of the stations and paid subscriptions like prime and netflix.

- Toni (7/5): We enjoyed the weekend overall. - It was quiet, the welcome on arrival was very appreciated. We found the bush land settling relaxing. The dog was happy. The sand dunes were a hit with the kids. It was comfortable but the bungalow is a little tired and in need of some love. Wifi kept cutting out. The doors not secured (bedroom door didn’t lock). The general cleanliness was lacking.

- Andrew (8/5): Very good - Staff went well out of their way to accommodate us and make our stay as pleasant as possible. The location was in front of the Sand Dunes, which my daughter loved. It also felt nice and secluded. You could even walk to local shops and restaurants if you wanted to. There was plenty of beds in the 1 bedroom cottage which helped having a 2 year old. It is a bit away from restaurants but to be honest only about 15mins in a taxi, which is nothing compared to living in the city. Never really used the pool or park, but both looked reasonable.

- Davide (4/5): Disappointing - The location The accommodation really needs an upgrade. The carpet smelled, the timber doors were cracked and peeling, same with the ceiling. Bed was uncomfortable and squeaky. Floor wasn't cleaned. The bathroom floor had footprints and hair. The flyscreans were damaged, so at night, many little insects would come in attracted by the light. The outdoor space needed a clean as well. The table had a centrepiece when we tried to move it to make more space on the table, many little insects came out. We noticed the gutter on the roof was full of leaves and plants growing in it.
- Iwan (8/5): Nice and quiet little ‘home away from home’ - Quiet and leafy complex and very friendly staff. Our cabin comes with under cover car port which is quite uncommon. Bed is comfortable and the bottled filtered water dispenser is a nice touch, there is even a clothesline at the back of the cabin. Place is generally clean and well maintained. Would prefer to have sink inside the bathroom rather than outside.

- Belynda (5/5): Nice spot but not the hassle you want when trying to enjoy your holiday. - Plenty of room for kids to run around. The first night of our stay there was cockroaches climbing the walls, in the cutlery draw and on the pillows. I Mentioned this to reception who sent the cleaner over ASAP. We expected a fresh room but when we returned the cleaners only changed the pillowcases and forgot to take the old ones with them. There was also still a dead cockroach on the floor. I went back to the receptionist who was fantastic and come and finish the room off herself. Receptionist said the manager would be over to speak to us the next day. She never did so I had to go and speak to her. The manager mentioned asking the owners about refunding our first night and we have not heard back since. Very disappointing to have to keep chasing them up. The bunk beds were uncomfortable and the rail for the top bunk was not secured properly so unsafe for children.
