• Gene-Trvls (6/5): Stay on the lower floor only! - I wish I could give this hotel an excellent review. The location is a perfect base to explore the historical neighbors. Staff is very friendly. Our room on the 3rd floor was spacious with a lot of natural light. The view from the upper deck was spectacular. But.... there was almost no hot water in our room. We spoke with the staff and were told that the boiler is very far away. Unless this issue is fixed, I would only consider staying at the lower floor.

They connected us with a secure parking space about a block from the hotel and we walked and didn't need the car during our stay. Valparaiso is hilly and this hotel is located up the hill from the port. We also enjoyed the roof top terrace. nothing
• Emma (10/5): A home from home in Valparaiso - I am travelling alone and stayed in a loft here. I immediately felt so welcome and at home when I arrived. The place has a calm atmosphere, is beautifully furnished and the team are kind and really happy to help and recommend things to do and good walking routes. The loft was spacious, comfortable and had everything I needed. I also enjoyed a lovely drink on the hotels roof terrace which all guests can use and take their drinks of even dinner to (if they are cooking in). The location is perfect and if you are travelling with a car, you can park on the street or leave the car in a secure parking. Breakfast is really good with eggs freshly scrambled for the guests. Nice breakfast each morning plus a staff one every shift was superb. Valparaiso as a city takes a minute to understand “what it is” and once you do, you can really appreciate the charm. It’s cool, gritty, artsy, funky and uniquely charming all in one.

• Michèle (7/5): An Schlaf war im Loft leider nicht zu denken - Top Lage, leckeres Frühstück, sehr hilfsbereites Personal Wir hatten das Loft gebucht, dieses war ausserhalb des eigentlichen Hotels gelegen, direkt angrenzend an eine Bar, die am Freitagabend bis nach Mitternacht laute Musik laufen liess. Die Schallisolierung war so miserabel, dass trotz selbst mitgebrachten Ohropax bis etwa um 01:00 Uhr nicht an Schlaf zu denken war. Auch danach war es aufgrund des Strassenlärms zu laut, um komfortabel zu schlafen. Zudem verfügt das Loft nur über Tagesvorhänge, wodurch es die ganze Nacht sehr hell im Zimmer war. Wir würden das Loft nicht nochmals buchen.

Breakfast was a delight, with all the choices you could ask for to start your day exploring this memorable neighborhood. Finally, the staff were friendly and helpful — especially Florencia, who went above and beyond to help newcomers make the most of their visit. Casa Galos is easy to recommend to other travelers visiting Valparaíso.

• Ambassador579811 (10/5): Exceptional Stay at Casa Galos - We arrived from a long flight via a redeye from the United States early on the day of our 3 PM check in. We were welcomed warmly by Florencia our host with a smile and checked in immediately. She promptly offered us breakfast and coffee within minutes of entering the hotel. When I mention checked in immediately, we were escorted to our reserved room upon arrival hours before our scheduled 3 PM check in guarantee. The boutique hotel was perfect for our overnight stay before boarding our Viking cruise ship. It is within walking distance to restaurants , art galleries and other small boutiques. Valencia provided detailed guidance for a one day exploration to optimize our brief stay in Valparaiso. Her restaurant suggestion was spot on also and unique to Chilean cuisine. I Highly recommend this hotel for exemplary cleanliness, friendly service by all staff members, overall experience and value.

The rooms had a mini kitchen with well stocked beverages. What I greatly appreciated was the friendly and helpful team at reception. She plotted a route within the city map that would optimise seeing the best of the amazing and funky street art, cafes, churches, museums etc. I would have missed out on much without that. Restaurants were recommended and I was even personally escorted to one so as to not get lost. Some rooms have a bit better view than others and I was kindly re-accommodated to one of those. Breakfast was included and eggs made to order. I loved everything about my stay here. If ever in Valparaiso again this is where I will stay and recommend it to others.

The staff is exceptionally helpful, the rooms are delightful, the breakfast is great, and there are good views from some of the rooms and from the terrace bar. The staff arranged transportation from the Santiago airport that was very accommodating and then transportation to the cruise line terminal. They had recommendations for wonderful nearby restaurants and general site seeing. This place is a gem.

Muy muy limpio, sábanas exquisitas y decoración espectacular. El resto del hotel maravilloso con una terraza con vista a todo valparaíso y el puerto. Realmente espectacular. Un trabajador del hotel, nos dijo que debía cerrar la terraza, y según la administración no debió haberlo hecho. Pero un detalle menor que no afectó en nada. Un poco, porque la terraza es un sueño.
