• Lisa (5/5): Clean rooms but an old building. - The staff were great. Very helpful and very friendly. The building needs some maintenance. The tiles that were put in about 8 to 10 years ago are chip and cracked and pieces missing. The outside blind in our room would not operate so we had to use the blackout blind instead making our room completely dark even when we were up during the day.

• Dolores (5/5): I was disappointed and would have bypassed the incidentals of the room but breakfast is a priority. - Location was great, front desk was really nice and resolved my issues to their best ability. They gave me a bedroom that did not look clean. I found a pop tart under the bed, hair in my sheets and the bathroom door would get jammed when trying to open it or close it. It got stuck on the floor. I felt it was not nice to pay 200 a night to fight with a door and sleep in dirty room. The next morning, I got breakfast and there was a fly fried with the sausages. The cheese used on the eggs was the cheap kind. The food offered at breakfast was really low quality. I was not expecting made to order or anything but they could improve the quality a bit. We ended up checking out that day after the breakfast incident. The manager was really kind, and gave us a discount on our stay for that day and gave us time to pack our things and check out.

• V9547HRchristiann (2/5): Unproffessional Manager and Random Fees - My friends and I planned a 2-night trip to Port Aransas for spring break (March 9–11). When booking, Hampton Inn showed “no age requirement,” so I called ahead to confirm. I was initially told the check-in age was 18 with no mention of any additional fees. A few days later, another employee told me the policy had changed to 21+, but that we could still check in with a $100 deposit. During the same conversation this deposit became $150, and later I was called back and told it would actually be $200. When we arrived early (around 10am) hoping to check in closer to the 12pm time I had requested, the front desk staff were dismissive and sarcastic. No one offered to hold our luggage or help us while we waited. The only employee who treated us respectfully was a member of the cleaning staff named Ricky. When we returned at the official 2pm check-in time, the manager agreed to the $200 deposit but repeatedly emphasized that whether or not I received it back would be entirely “at her discretion.” She also said that even a single noise complaint would result in losing the deposit. After agreeing to this, I was then told the deposit had to be paid in cash only, which had never been mentioned before. At that point the entire situation felt very uncomfortable and unprofessional. Because the rules and fees kept changing, I chose to cancel my reservation instead of staying. Since I had prepaid, I only received half of my money back. I understand hotels take precautions during spring break, but the inconsistent policies and the way the situation was handled made this experience extremely disappointing.

• RglrmaninTX (4/5): Not Up To Hilton Standards - Overall, this property does not positively represent the Hilton brand. While any one thing – other than the moldy/dirty shower – was not that significant, the total of all the ‘little things’ left an overall negative impression. 1. Chip reader on credit card machine at front desk not working. 2. Key machine at front desk not working (agent had to go to back room to make keys). 3. Overall, during my two-night stay, the staff seemed to be ‘just there for a job’, not engaging, not welcoming. At no time was I asked how everything was with my room / stay. 4. Front desk staff were typically sitting down in the office area behind the desk, with the door open, exposing a very disorganized / cluttered area to guest view. 5. Never saw the breakfast attendant. Breakfast was standard brand offering. 6. Chairs in breakfast area damaged. 7. Brand sign on building not fully working. 8. Elevator sign damaged. 9. Handle on the beverage cooler in sundry/snack shop broken-missing; metal edges exposed. 10. Frozen food freezer in sundry/snack shop empty and lights off. 11. The room air condition worked great – very cold! 12. The wifi worked great. Room 415 1. Entry tiles broken/loose. 2. Shower moldy! 3. Shower door tracks dirty / moldy! 4. Bathroom exhaust fan not working (draw type fan). 5. Top of bathroom hook rack dirty. 6. Room walls dirty. 7. Right bedside light only partially illuminates.

Wir hatten den Eindruck, dass man sich etwas auf der Lage in Port Aransas ausruht. Pool und die Liegen waren eher in schlechtem Zustand / ungepflegt und die ganze Haus machte den Eindruck, dass man sich keine besondere Mühe gibt.

Although the elevators were large and spacious, one elevator popped and cracked while operating. It made us quite uncomfortable and fearful it might break down when using it. The bathroom particularly the tub needed remodeling. The grout was old and cracked, but the shower had 2 head with only one that worked. We also couldn't figure out how to make water come out of the faucet to fill the tub. It would be nice if the sink area had a magnifying mirror.

I took pictures of you’re interested, the showerhead was out of the wall, exposing a hole in the wall, the sprinkler heads were rusted, the floorboard and shower floorboard were filthy and rusted out. Reality, it is 1+ miles from the beach. Room was not clean at all, hair everywhere in the bathroom and elsewhere. Just a very disappointing experience from a Hilton chain.
• AdNorm (8/5): You Won't Regret Your Decision to Stay Here - Property Appeal: Looks well kept on the exterior. Plenty of parking. Front Desk Service: Superb. Cassie was responsive, helpful, friendly, and professional. Breakfast: Standard Hampton layout. Kept well supplied. Some really bad, nasty looking stains on some of the seats. Room Décor and Cleanliness: Arrived to a puddle of water right inside the entry door. Odd location as it didn’t seem to be coming from the sink or the fridge. Maintenance man is aware of possible future issue. Stuck hair on lamp closest to the outside wall. Desk chair did not recline, but easily rolled. Sleeper couch quite firm so not exactly your living room comfortable sofa. Trash bags in cans. A nice hygienic touch. Nice Combination of carpet and bare floors. Mattress: Firm. Pillows: Eh. But to each their own. Window curtain shade closest to the west side seemed inoperative. Could have been user error. Bathroom: Shower stall quite large with more shelving than most. Nice and clean too. Bathroom wall had a stuck hair that was not ours. Shower head Patterns: Enough choices to satisfy most customers. Shower head flow rate: Sufficient enough to satisfy most guests. Towels: Nice large, water absorbing towels. Bathroom: No quiet close seat, but good flush. Bathroom Lighting: Ceiling light flickering intermittently. I forgot to report this. Room Lighting: Acceptable. A Tall, bright, area lamp would be nice. The desk lamp is FIXED. Cannot adjust left, right, up, or down. Shower had Sliding Doors. A little tricky to operate with the overlap facing the proper direction. Available Outlets: Sufficient. Not as many as some other hotels, but more than most. TV selections: We didn’t even turn it on this visit. Elevators: Not used. Luggage Carts: Both Full size old style and new style triangular little ones. Guest Laundry: Yes, but didn't use. Mini Fridge: Yes, kept items cold. Service Rating: A. Housekeeping Rating: C. We had a three night stay but received no service at all. Facility Mx Rating: B. Service from Chris (Kris) was top notch. He even helped me with an internet connection complaint. This guy works long hours. Microwave: Yes. Small, but we didn't use. HVAC: Worked great in this late summer Texas heat. Pool: We don’t usually use the pool, but we did this visit. Very clean, and refreshing. The hotel provides pool towels - nice! East exit stairwell door not secured properly. This is a potential Safety concern. Overall, we had a great stay, and (in spite of the contrary issues) this is our GO-TO hotel in Port A when the price is reasonable.

Both rooms were spacious, as was the bathroom. Everything else was as expected: like coffee and tea in the lobby. Breakfast is included, although the options were slightly less extensive than other Hampton hotels. Otherwise, it was fine.

I liked all the space in the room, plenty of room for our family of 5, and our fur baby. The front desk clerk was SO helpful and nice and put our family's room right next to ours without us asking. I felt it was kind of pricey, given that we're in September.

The pool area was very well maintained and the hot tub actually works! There is a great common area for playing games, chatting, etc. The breakfast is beyond amazing - hot and cold options including meat, eggs, waffles and the standard continental. They also keep fresh coffee, hot water, and cocoa up front every 4 hours. This place is fantastic. The elevator waiting area plays pleasant music. Our room was next to the elevator & at bedtime we could still hear the music through the wall. Until we walked out the next morning and realized it was the music in the elevator waiting area we thought someone had been playing music all night. Perhaps turn the volume down or off after a certain hour. It didn't really bother me, but my friend is a light sleeper and found it very disruptive to her sleep.

Limited grassy area for the dog to potty-hate to go right in front! Otherwise clean,comfortable and had a great breakfast!! We will definitely stay here again!!
