Guest Reviews
- Patricia (8/5): -
- Bonnie (10/5): Next time we'll stay at least two nights, not just one. - Totally scrumptious....everything was made fresh by the owners; having the option of candlelit dining table or buffet-style service is a genius choice to make!! I think the culinary artist, Ruth, could cut down on her workload by eliminating some of the extra items available, simply put, even though it was ALL fabulous, our tummies are only so big!!
- Schwarmich (9/5): -
- Cynthia (10/5): Cant wait to come back! - The location was perfect! So many cute areas to walk to right from the house. I honestly think the breakfast they served was the best breakfast I've ever had. Amazing all around! N/A
- Rebecca (10/5): -
- Jack (10/5): A rare treat that we look forward to repeating. - Very unique and high quality. A special experience. Very warm and engaging hosts.

- Melissa (10/5): What a fabulous bed & breakfast! - Welcoming staff, quiet, comfortable, beautiful neighborhood, walkable to nearby restaurants, bars & shopping, and amazing breakfast. They checked every box.
- Dorothy (10/5): - We appreciated the welcome and tour of this historic home. We were impressed with the comfort of the indoor common spaces; the beautiful outdoor garden; the generous spread of baked goods, snacks, and beverages; and the delicious breakfast. My husband especially loved the banana bread. Thank you!
- Kim (10/5): A must stay in Grand Rapids! - EVERYTHING about this property is a 10! Don’t hesitate if you’re looking— book now! The hospitality, home and surrounding neighborhood dining options make this a 10!
- Karen (10/5): Delicious breakfasts, beautiful historic home and neighborhood - Amazing breakfast (served at 9am). All 3 breakfasts during our stay were different, but always included some kind of egg dish, meat, fruit, yogurt, granola, and some phenomenal pastries. Other guests we met there had returned specifically for the delicious food. Hosts were wonderful. Had everything we needed, bed was comfortable, charming historic home. Get tickets well ahead if you want to see the inside of the May house by Frank Lloyd Wright (1 block away). We got Lime scooters a few blocks away and explored the historic district. What a blast! Good espresso nearby (Rowster Coffee on Wealthy), and we enjoyed two restaurants in the neighborhood Testa Rossa Italian and Donkey Taqueria.
- zhu (8/5): 挺好 - 房间大,服务特别好,位置好 楼梯太老,所以能听见楼上走路的声音
- Dorian2k (10/5): Best in GR - Best stay in could have hoped for. Quiet, historic neighborhood, great staff and good food. Wonderful, no complaints
- Cynthia (10/5): - Very gracious hosts. Exquisite gourmet breakfasts. Beautiful home inside, lovely patio and garden. Ken and Ruth were so helpful and informative about sights to see, restaurants to try( Within walking distance!). Made you feel like family. Also, 24/7 snacks available! No complaints whatsoever
- Sharon (10/5): - We liked everything about this. Great value. Good food considerate hosts. Lovely neighborhood.
- Karen (10/5): Beautiful old home in an historic area with amazing hosts. - Amazing cook! Many choices and all were delectable. Enjoyed sitting around the table meeting people from different places. Listening to the history of the area and the house from the owners was interesting. Wealthy St. area is such a great neighborhood now with many shops and restaurants. Nothing
- Matthew (10/5): - Friendly owners and a beautiful space. The breakfast was amazing.
- Alison (10/5): - Comfortable stay, excellent hosts, delicious breakfast.
- Janet (10/5): I’ll be back soon with my 2 sisters. Thank you Ruth and Ken! - Ruth and Ken are THE BEST hostess and host! Loved everything, especially the hospitality!
- Maaike (10/5): Fantastische plek! - Deze B&B wordt met alle liefde gerund door Ken en Ruth en dat merk je aan alles! Het huis is charmant, het bed comfortabel, de ligging heel gunstig maar het aller beste is de persoonlijke aandacht en het fantastische ontbijt
- Betsy (10/5): -
- william (10/5): Absolutely wonderful! -
- Jean (8/5): Very good - Breakfast and welcome tour was awesome Pillows
- Judith (9/5): Facilities were a 9 but the hosts and breakfasts were a 10+ - Ruth and Ken were wonderful hosts. Ruth created a sumptuous breakfast each of the 3 days we stayed, with homemade pastries and different breakfast casseroles. In addition, there were baked goods available all day, a coffee machine that made latte's and other types of coffee drinks, a huge variety of other drinks including juices and soft drinks always available. The water in the bathroom got hot immediately. There was central AC so it was quiet. Plenty of parking on the street in front of the house, The Meyer May House (designed by Frank Lloyd Wright) was just down the street. We went there for a tour which I highly recommend. Our room was quite small with a queen sized bed, a small desk, chest of drawers and armchair. There was a closet and a nice bathroom with tub/shower. Being a 1890 home, the floors were very creaky and the bedroom was on the second floor so we had to drag the suitcases up a flight of stairs.
- Jeffrey (10/5): Exceptional - The breakfast was amazing. Above and beyond expectations. Rooms were super. All amenities made for a tremendous weekend.
- C (9/5): Superb - Food was amazing
- Monica (10/5): Definitely a great choice for B&B - Breakfast was amazing. Very friendly people. Gorgeous building and very well kept backyard Chair next to bed pretty stiff. I know it was part of the beautiful decor but i am all about comfort
- Acerenza (10/5): Exceptional - It was historic yet homie. It was a beautiful facility, owners are amazing, and the food was abundant No elevator, but it was ultimately just fine
- Gretchen (10/5): It was a quick trip for me and I wish I could have stayed longer. Hosts were amazing, the house was beautiful and the fo - Beautiful house and an amazing location. Nothing
- Teresa (10/5): Wonderful experience. Would definitely stay again! - The house is amazing, beautiful, clean, and quiet. Breakfasts were incredible. Leah is an amazing cook/host. She also is very knowledgeable about the house’s history and places in Grand Rapids to check out. The location is great for walking around the Historic district and a block away from the impressive Meyer May house (Frank Lloyd Wright prairie style home). Nothing I can think of.
- Ocampo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Benjamin (10/5): We look forward to visiting here again. - Outstanding breakfast. A real work of culinary art! Pillows were a bit flat. The "Romance Package" was not sparkling wine, as I had expected, but sparkling grape juice, which was a bit disappointing.
- Mike (10/5): Exceptional - Gourmet breakfast was fabulous. It is a beautiful historic house in a historic neighborood. The backyard garden was a wonderful surprise.
- Sergio (10/5): Exceptional - we arrived at 7.30 pm and checked in ourselves, there were no problems as all the doors had codes, convenient. Late in the evening we walked around the subvision, this is the historic center of Grand Rapids, and looked at houses, it was very quiet, the location is very good .The breakfast was wonderful, the choice of dishes was also large. You could have breakfast both inside and in the back yard. I wouldn't say it was bad or I didn't like it, but there was no refrigerator in the room. When we travel, we take all sorts of sandwiches with us on the road , this did not affect our impressions and assessment in any way
- Ann (9/5): Superb -
- Tiffany (10/5): We were in town for a concert at VanAndel Arena. This B&B was much nicer than staying at an overpriced hotel near th - Historical, friendly owners, great breakfast, location, comfortable bed. N/A
- Morgan (10/5): Didn't Want To Leave - The location was excellent! Beautiful walking neighborhood with shops and restaurants within walking distance. The host was superb, unpretentious. Breakfast was wonderful. I
We'll definitely be back.. Exceeded our Expectations
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional - Great breakfast in a sunny nook on East side of house. Stairs...easier to go down.
- Carolyn (10/5): Delightful stay! - Excellent, gourmet breakfast!
- Philip (10/5): We will be bax - Breakfast was great both days Can't think of anything. All good
- Bendush (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kathleen (10/5): Exceptional - Very quiet, breakfast excellent, and staff were very helpful. Really nothing! Just a very nice get away with some history!
- Sandra (10/5): Wonderful experience - will recommend it to our traveling friends. - The owners were very welcoming and snacks upon arrival exceptional. We enjoyed everything about our stay and would definitely come again next time in Grand Rapids.
- Dwight (10/5): We look forward to staying at the Leonard at Logan house every year. It never disappoints!! - Gorgeous house, grounds, and neighborhood, and fabulous service! Not applicable
- Dwyer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Diane (9/5): I enjoyed my stay in this lovely home. - Good breakfast. Beautiful historic furnishings. Heated bathroom floor (much appreciated by this Florida resident visiting Michigan in early spring)! I was able to stay only one night, but if I had stayed longer, I would definitely have curled up on the living room sofa with a book or my iPad, and had a go at playing the piano. Hmmm. An elevator? Or if that isn’t possible, maybe a stair lift? For we elderly visitors.
- Strole (9/5): Superb -
- Jeanette (10/5): We completely enjoyed our stay at the Leonard at Logan House! - Absolutely a 10!!! Everything was just wonderful. Thank you, Ruth and Ken, for such a lovely stay. You made us feel right at home. Both breakfasts were amazing. So delicious! We both definitely recommend a stay at your lovely bed and breakfast.
- Sean (10/5): A quick getaway to the city - The breakfast was amazing. The host made a breakfast for our dietary restrictions. We look forward to our next visit. The mattress was slightly uncomfortable.
- Paul (10/5): One of the nicest BNB that we have stayed at in our travels. - We liked everything. The owners, Ken and Ruth were friendly. The home was lovely as was our room. Breakfast was delicious, included fruit, eggs, bacon, potato patties, blueberry pancakes and fresh apple strudel. The day before there were lemon scones. Lots of goodies if you get hungry. Will definitely go back and recommend to our friends, Sorry we didn't stay longer. Not far from the dash route. Nothing
- Oliver (10/5): It truly doesn’t get better than Leonard at Logan House. - The food was absolutely amazing! Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, bursting with flavor, and presented beautifully. On top of that, they had multiple pastry stations set up around the house, allowing guests to indulge in a variety of sweet treats at their leisure. Whether you were craving a light snack or a decadent dessert, there was always something delicious within reach. The combination of incredible food and the convenience of the pastry areas truly made the dining experience unforgettable. There was literally nothing I could have suggested that would have made the stay better. Everything was absolutely perfect—from the accommodations to the service, every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the staff was attentive and friendly, and every aspect of the experience exceeded my expectations. I truly couldn’t have asked for anything more.

- Cindy (9/5): Our stay was absolutely wonderful. Very clean and comfortable. The food was absolutely delicious. The attention to detai - We loved how quaint and cozy it was. The squeaky floors and not being able to regulate the temperature in our room. It was quite hot in there.
- Victoria (10/5): I will return - A lovely historic property with all the modern comfortable conveniences and friendly hosts.
- Sharon (10/5): Quiet, cozy, welcoming! We loved our stay and will definitely return next time we are in Grand Rapids. - The historic home is just beautiful, and very cozy and welcoming! Nothing. It was the perfect B&B.

Would love to go back again and hope we do! Thank you Ken and Ruth

We walked to cute boutiques and excellent restaurants. The hosts were wonderful, friendly, and sweet. They checked in with us frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. Words cannot express how wonderful the breakfasts were. There were so many choices and everything we had was fantastic. I also have a food allergy and they went out of their way to accommodate my every need. I would definitely recommend this B&B, and if I am in Grand Rapids again will 100% stay here! I cannot think of anything I didn't like.
- Diane (10/5): Exceptional - We loved how so many wonderful and varied restaurants were within walking distance.
We also enjoyed the plethora of goodies that were available to us 24/7, as well as the incredible breakfast. The floors in our bedroom were very loud and creaky.

- Wmlcjr (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicole (10/5): Beautiful top notch B&B is historical Heritgae Hill neighborhood with clean, comfortable rooms, common areas and pro - Beautiful home in a beautiful neighborhood. House and rooms were well decorated and super clean and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing with homemade food, yogurt, fruit, and a coffee machine with so many options and available 24/7. Nothing

- Debbie (9/5): A lovely place to stay in Grand Rapids - The bnb is in a beautiful historic area just down the street from a Frank Lloyd Wright house that can be visited. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The owner and staff are very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Breakfasts are delicious! There is free street parking and many options for restaurants nearby. The room rate is a bit pricey.
- Michael (10/5): Delightful history and comfort. Excellent breakfast - This property and its innkeepers were an unexpected delight. The breakfast was superb.
- Renee (9/5): Beautiful, quaint, spacious, and comfortable! - We had a lovely stay at the Leonard at Logan house. For starters, the neighborhood is just gorgeous. Super charming and vibrant residential area. The house itself is beautiful and quite large inside with spacious common areas. The staff was very welcoming and friendly when we checked in. Our room was very nice and clean. There are many thoughtful touches throughout, one of the things I love about bnbs - nice soaps and lotions, nice sheets, etc. You can tell someone thought this through. I loved the decorative touches throughout the house, including the antique refrigerator! Even the backyard is spacious, gorgeous, clearly well-manicured and cared for. The icing on the cake was breakfast, which was delicious. There was so much, I couldn't even finish it. They even accommodated my dairy-free diet, which was awesome. Incredibly kind. We would happily stay again. There wasn't anything here I didn't like, we had a wonderful stay. This place might not suit someone who prefers modern homes/accommodations, as it has some vintage elements to it. But I thought it was lovely.

- Lodabach (10/5): A beautiful jewel in a fantastic location ! - My daughter and I were traveling from Detroit metro area to Grand Rapids for an appointment and decided to spend the night in GR. We booked at Leo and at Logan House instead of a hotel hoping for a ‘homey’ feel to our stay. What an excellent choice! We were warmly greeted by Ken and Ruth and given a tour of the house. The first floor has several lounging spacious lounging areas with beautiful views to the gardens outside. The kitchen is we-stocked with 24 hour access to a full service coffee machine (cappuccino, latte, americano, hot water etc), teas, sodas, juices, milk, no -dairy milk, yogurt, bagels, bread, and more. There was a table with home baked cookies, pumpkin bread and scones. In the morning Ken and Ruth made a delicious breakfast of fruit/yogurt/granola cup, scrambled cheesy eggs, maple bacon ( the most delicious I’ve ever had!), blueberry soufflé and carrot cake. Our Sir Charles room was so cozy and had everything we needed ie shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer) and a binder of things to do and where to eat in GR. There were chairs outside to enjoy nature in the back yard. Parking was free and easy in front of the house.
The neighborhood was perfectly located and very walkable to nearby store and restaurants. We really enjoyed getting to know John! We loved everything!

- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - The location was excellent, exactly 6 minutes away from downtown area. The hosts were amazing, they were very friendly and welcoming, it felt like we were welcomed home. The entire place was spotless, and the value for how nice our room was along with access to the historically rich and comfortable common area, as well as the 24/7 snack and drink station was wonderful. We left wishing we had stayed for longer.
