Just like you had the oatmeal, you could have had girts also. The side entrance wasn't close to an elevator. The desk clerk said it was, but it wasn't.

- Lynda (1/5): Horrible service from a Marriott location!!! Absolutely horrendous!!! - I like that I was given my money back The GM and the front desk staff need to be fired. They obviously don’t know the meaning of hospitality. The reservation was for a one room with a sofa”bed”…don’t be fooled! The so called sofa”bed” is a brick wrapped in vinyl. And! If you ask for a cushion, pillows, blankets….you will be told their cleaning staff is gone. Oh! And don’t display any digression cause they will cancel (not cancel) your reservation and give you 30 minutes to leave or have the police remove you. Mind you, this was at approximately 10pm with a minor. Save your money, read the reviews on their official site and stay far far away from this property! Seriously!!!!

- Verified traveler (2/5): Each year it gets worse I won’t be back. - When we arrived their system was down and they didn’t have our information for the stay. So that was unfortunate but we understand things happen. When we get to our room the room is sub par what are used to for Marriot standards, we were very disappointed the toilet was dirty and so was the shower. If it wasn’t a late night check in we would have went to another location. We have stayed here normally over the last 3-5 years and each year there has been a steady decline in cleanliness and service. I won’t be staying here again and I wish I could get my money back because this was a terrible experience for us.

The room is spacious with a full kitchen and big (too big--lot of empty space). The kitchen had undersized and somewhat off brand appliances but everything worked. The TV's are old and small by today's standards. Sitting on the couch in the LR required squinting to set the TV. Otherwise, it was a nice unit and I had a nice stay.

Your hotel not only accepts pets, it is a first class hotel. Clean, modern, large refrigerator and a kitchenette. Plenty of parking, easy entry, pleasant staff and a great breakfast. I can’t think of one thing that could have been better.

The property is not built recently, but it's well kept, clean and we like the location near the main road (whiskey road) and restaurants. The only thing that could've improved is the breakfast, but again we'll probably go there again if we were to stay in aiken again. The pictures are from 2 different stays.

I understand policy however it would have been nice if they had left it and not called twice.

Here are some details about this location that were top notch: *EVERY staff person we encountered greeted us warmly and wished us a good day. *The laundry area was clean and easy to use and FREE. That absolutely made my day!! *No one knocked on our door to see if we wanted housekeeping when our “Do Not Disturb” sign was out. This was especially appreciated since we work nights and those early morning knocks can truly be a problem. *The front desk staff was extremely helpful when I had questions even when it was in the middle of the night. *Bethany, the person who cleaned rooms on our floor, was kind, helpful and so friendly. When I apologized for using a late checkout she said it was totally fine and not to even worry about it. Overall, this was our BEST stay in South Carolina in the five months we have been working in this state. Thank you so much!

After waking me up at 1am, I ended up contacting the front desk after an hour of listening to them blast rap music. Would stay here again, and I am not the easiest to please.

- Edson (9/5): Clean room and friendly staff - Staff were very friendly and welcoming. I was upgraded to a suite which was very comfortable and spacious. Wished I was able to stay longer. The room was clean and fixtures were all updated and in good working order.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Very disappointed - We walked into our room it smelled like mildew, we pad 184 for one night not to be able to sleep in comfort. The bathroom was half cleaned, nasty finger prints that looked like dried up blood. Over on the wall by the lap it was a spilled spattered mess on the wall that wasn’t even cleaned up. Very upsetting especially staying in a Marriott own hotel. Worst part about it this was the only room left at this sold out hotel for the night. For the start of the check in process it was great the guy was helpful and professional the lobby looked promising, it was the room we stayed in made all this a terrible experience. Room 120

- Verified traveler (6/5): - Overall, just okay. The room was listed as a double queen bed, but they were clearly not.. two adults fit with little wiggle room. The evening staff was nice, they solved my initial booking issue pretty quick and got us up to the room but the staff as we checked out couldn’t be bothered with us as they were in the middle of a conversation about the coworker they hated. The room was clean, I wish room service would have came during our stay to at least empty the trash and take the linens. Good size suite for 5 people though, can’t complain at $175/night. Pretty fairly priced suite in town.
- tmichaelhenderson (6/5): Felt totally abused and disappointed at management - Stayed Three weeks with my wife and two dogs. Staff and services great. Suite was spacious and a great value at $120 plus tax and add-on fees. Our furniture was delayed in arriving and they charged $179 plus fees when I Changed check out date. Explained long term stay and charge this rate for daily extensions. So it cost more than $500 above my 3 week rate for 4 additional days. And General Manager criticized me when I pointed this out. Besides the “policy of hotel” she had the guile to say that I not only put my trash behind reception, but also took too much milk at breakfast. UNBELIEVABLE. You judge if you want to feel degraded as we were.

- Clodold (8/5): I would highly recommend staying here - I personally think this is the best hotel to stay at in Aiken it's always been very clean staff is fantastic there's not any loud people or music or trouble or anything like that at this hotel and every room has like a little kitchen in it with the dishwasher it's just really awesome place The housekeeping is really sweet and like I said the cleanliness is exceptional this is a really nice place
- Expedition309687 (2/5): Marriott wil NOT give a refund if they fail to provide services - Stayed 8 nights. Woke up 5am on Sunday to no electricity. Had zero answers and had to get clothed and ready in pitch dark and no amenities. Walked down stairs in pitch dark to talk to desk because no answer on phone. They had no idea what was going on. Workers at desk friendly but chaotic. Returned that evening and they moved us into one of a few rooms that had electricity. Lobby and all amenities without electricity still. Moved a days worth of stuff into new room. Still no hot water, no tv, no internet (a HUGE problem). We had light and air. No towels...asked for towels and they gave us unfolded towels. Finally to bed after COLD shower and woke up to no breakfast, no internet, no washer and dryer that we needed. No lights in hallways or lobby. HOT. and then the new room electricity went off for the day and we left til that evening. That evening, we went back and electricity restored. They had us move back into our original room. It was warm in room but we recovered by bed time but realized we had lost food in fridge. It took several days to talk to "General Manager" which was a waste of time. She was rude, she was defensive, never apologized and refused to even consider any compensation refund for the two days we were massively inconvenience. I have to add that every single person in the hotel we encountered other than the General Manager was very pleasant and were trying to hold it together while sweathing and working from a pencil and pad and flashlight. I paid my bill thinking that SURELY I would have better luck with Mariott Customer Service and/or Mariott Corporation, but turns out these hotels are franchised and will not overturn their General Manager decisions no matter how unreasonable they find them. And most everyone I talked to with Marriott found the General Manager's decision unreasonable. Everyone I talked to outside of Marriott found the decision to be theft because they did not provide us with the service we were charged for. I agree and had zero desire to speak with the General Manager again as her only reply was that they couldn't help what happened and tried to do their best. Well...the workers did work hard to figure out the chaos. They relocated an entire parking lot full of people to another hotel but we were not offered that choice. I did get 10,000 points from General Manager. Enought to buy about a half of a night at a hotel. You do the math and create your own acceptance of this situation. We were MASSIVELY affected by not having services two days and it took several days afterward to get their food service back and their towels folded -- we never got roomservice or new towels again. A huge company like Marriott should be ASHAMED and take an account of who and what they have representing their name regardless of the fact that it's a franchise. I have reached out to the Franchise owners, SYCAMORE Investment group out of Georgia.
- Janessa (2/5): Double Charged, Management Not Helpful - Hotel employee charged my card again at check in (over what I paid on hotels.com) by mistake & the hotel would not fix it. The employee made a mistake and swiped my card for the room charge , instead of charging hotels.com who I already paid. Management won’t be in until Monday and I was basically told to take it up with hotels.com. Hotels dot com didn’t make the mistake the hotel did there they should be the ones to fix it. Double charging people who are traveling and not immediately taking action to fix it is an issue. Now I have to wait who knows how long and be on the phone trying to fix their mistake. Not a good experience. Tub is also broken.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Updated rooms, clean and comfortable - I booked a room last minute for a softball tournament and wanted a hotel near the ball park. I was a little disappointed when I pulled into the hotel parking lot, it’s not quite what I imagined based on the photos online. However, the front desk staff were very friendly and the room was updated, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was good. It’s not the nicest place I’ve ever stayed, but it was a great room for the value. I would absolutely book here again if I visit Aiken again in the future.

- HughChass (2/5): RIP OFF - I reserved a room from April 2nd - April 3rd, as part of a trip to the Masters golf tournament. I reserved a room with a king sized bed, and a pull out sofa bed. I checked in at 11pm and there was no mattress on the sofa, nor any pillows, blankets or sheets in the room. Normally that stuff is kept in the closet, but there was nothing in the room anywhere. I went to the front desk and the attendant said there were no extra mattresses, pillows, sheets or blankets in the hotel. I asked to speak to Housekeeping, and she said nobody was present. I asked to switch rooms, and she said there was not an empty room on the premises. Because it was late and we were going to the Masters early am, I had no choice but to stay in the room and sleep on the mattress platform with no bedding or linens. The next morning I checked out and requested a refund for the 2nd night. The hotel has refused to provide a refund and so now I have to fight them. How does a hotel market itself as providing sleeping accomodations...but not provide the proper sleeping arrangements? Let's also be clear - what should be a $150/night hotel room got jacked up to $450/night for Masters week. Going to a hotel that doesn't provide a mattress, pillows, sheets and blankets is like going to a restaurant that doesn't provide food. I wish this was an exaggeration, but it's not. Think twice before booking a room at this hotel.

- Zeila (4/5): - We were assigned to a room that had not been serviced. Second room was dirty, clearly the carpet had not been vacuumed for weeks. Bathroom had orange mold on tiles and faucet handles and toilet had urine residue on the seat. Room was dusty and overall disappointing. I am shocked Marriot Bonvoy would allow this facility to relate to their brand. Would never consider staying here again.

- Emerald (10/5): - My stay was nice & comfortable. The staff I encountered was polite/helpful. Check in was smooth. My room was nice, clean, and included a kitchen. I didn’t stay long, but I enjoyed the breakfast and it looked like the gym area was nice as well. There were construction upgrades going on, but nothing was disturbing or unkept. I really liked the weather board near the entrance! Hand-drawn, I believe, showing the weather for the week. The area has plenty of food and shopping options, but there are quick food options for purchase near check-in.

The gym was nice, and the breakfast was really good. I would stay here again. The staff was very accommodating and helpful every time!
