- Lazelle (10/5): I have styed at The Ivy a few times before. It never disappoints. -
- Colin (3/5): Not worth the money. - It was easy to find and there was a member of staff to hand over keys etc. We arrived in 40 degrees cel. No elevator or staff to help with cases up a couple of flights of stairs. Pool is less than 5 metres long and a couple of metres wide. 2 people having a chat in the middle filled it. Area around pool very claustrophobic. Property is situates on the end of the Main Street and junction of another busy street. There is a large pub restaurant 20 metres away with a large outdoor eating area and piped music until about midnight. Noisy area. The ceiling fan made a clicking noise every few minutes and had to be switched off at night. The shower door was wrecked and the cables to raise the blinds had to be ties to legs of furniture to keep them up. None of this would have been too annoying except this property cost us about 250% more than the average cost of the 10 properties we used on our months holidays. We expected it to be the best, reality, it was the worst.

VERY TIRED AND TERRACE SPACE ONLY 4 PLASTIC CHAIRS AND ONE TABLE. NO LOUNGER AND HALF OF TERRACE JUST CONCRETE! POOL WAST WORKING FOR 5 DAYS DUE TO LEAK AND WAS UNCLEAN. PARKING WAS TIGHT AND INSUFFICIENT SPACE. THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO INSTRUCTIONS FOR ANYTHING WHATSOEVER. WE SHALL BE MAKING A DISCOUNT CLAIM VIA BOOKING.COM.

We parked early at their secure parking as we had a day arranged wine tasting. Great breakfast cafe round the corner too. The lights in the main bedroom were either full on or off. We couldn’t see how the overbed pendant lights worked independently. There was a problem with the flush in the main en suite bathroom. The receptionist was very apologetic and explained a plumber had been called and a part ordered. The outside plunge pool was taken up by a large family group so we didn’t feel comfortable using it in the end. Minor issues and didn’t spoil our stay.

Nice property, nice touches such as tea and coffee, milk in fridge, bottles of water next to bed, dressing gowns and charge points/leads. Shared access to pool which was freezing but needed as it was 36 degrees and pool towels available in basket next to pool which was handy. Gated parked on site and security guard very helpful. - Ané (8/5): The apartments were beautifully finished, well-furnished, spacious, and very well equipped. - Wellington was very friendly on arrival. We started with a tour early on that day, so Wellington accommodated our vehicles on site prior to check-in time. It was really appreciated. One of the other staff members (a woman) was quite rude to me over the phone a week before our stay. She insisted that I had only booked for 6 people instead of 10. She was adamant that it was my mistake and told me to take it up with Bookings.com. After I sent her all my booking confirmations, she admitted it was an error on their side, yet offered no apology. Wellington, however, did apologize in an email, and although he was not the one who had been impolite, I do appreciate his gesture.

The apartment was tastefully decorated and very clean. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to other visitors. The showers were great and a decent size with good water pressure. We found the bed downstairs wasn't very comfortable and carrying a large suitcase up and down the internal stairs was difficult.

- Laura (10/5): Wonderful stay in lovely apartment in charming Franschhoek - The location was perfect--quiet and close to all the shops and restaurants. The apartment was spacious, comfortable, and had every amenity we needed. The staff was very nice--manager Wellington was incredibly responsive and helpful. He made us feel very welcome. Everything was great. My only suggestion is to add more clothes hangers to closets.
- Laura (10/5): My friend and I had a wonderful stay in this spacious apartment, made even more enjoyable by Winston. - The location was excellent--quiet, but just around the corner from shops and restaurants. The penthouse was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated with comfortable beds and sofas. Towels, robes, and toiletries were very nice. The staff were great, especially Winston, who was incredibly kind, helpful, and responsive. He made us feel at home and immediately responded to messages. Not a big deal, but I'd suggest putting more clothes hangers in the closets.

- LES (10/5): The most awesome accommodation in Franschoek ! - We have stayed at these apartments previously and everything is always neat, clean and the gentlemen who manages Ivy Apartments is extremely helpful - I think he was there the last time we stayed there.

- Ali (8/5): Love this place, great for a family stay - Great location, facilities are great, staff were amazing. It's basically 5 yards from the main road and everything is walkable. The bed was comfortable but was a bit noisy.

- Helen (10/5): - Lovely bright and spacious. We were in appt 2. Mezzanine bedroom was great, big bed, fluffy robes. Location right in town. Secure parking.
