- Verified traveler (6/5): Irresponsible Manager - The Hotel is good accordance with value for money, but the manager is totally irresponsible.... I ranged him for Airport Pick-up, I also request him two week before for Airport pick up by email through Hotels.com, and ultimately he send a very small damaged hatchback taxi for four persons (I took a pic) with an addicted driver. The driver took `Gul’ (a type of drug) in front of us while driving & spitting again and again. Bad smell inside..all the seats are teared....no side mirror , no space for sit four persons, four luggage on our knee, it was raining.... its a horrible situation I can’t express. .. although I paid about 40% more than normal fare. (normal fare from airport to hotel is Rs. 700-800, I paid 1200). I think they have no minimum responsibility about customers care.. I used Hotels.com more than 20 time for my overseas hotels, but this is the dishearten me.

New Delhi rail station is just 10 minutes walking distance. I lived here for 6 days and this is my second time stay at this hotel. I would love to stay here every time during my visit in Delhi.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Very Misleading - I would not recommend this "hotel". The pictures are very misleading- the condition of the room gave the appearance of still under construction. Shower did not work, the television only had one channel, broken furniture, and a very peculiar smell lingered throughout my stay here. The staff were very friendly, but had problem communicating in Englishs ( reason to remove international from the name). MORAL OF THE STORY- if you're on a budget this might be a decent option for you, I would suggest paying a little extra and finding something else.

Bedsheet and blanket were smelly, floor was dusty, bathroom was dirty. As for the airport transfer, the driver did not arrive on time and they engaged third party travel agency, using an old van whicb the door can't be open at all.

- traveler (4/5): Not like the pictures - Weeks or months old rotten food in a drawer. Construction in the next room and next door so hammering right on the wall behind the bed all day long. Bugs in shower. Run down. The pictures on here must be from decades ago cause it’s not like that now. Damp and dark nd musty smell. Non locking window to outside. Water is sometimes hot but it’s always questionable. Out of the 3 places I stayed in Delhi this was the worst. I did like the staff though: they seemed pretty nice for the entire time I was there. Location is in a alley but okay overall if this is where you want to stay in Delhi. Not close to metro though.

There were cockroaches in the room and the bed was also very dirty. In morning, no hot water was coming. Upon calling the front desk, they were also not responding properly.

- Anil (2/5): Very poor hotel experience DO NOT BOOK - Very poor service. Night manager on all 4 nights very rude and unhelpful. Room we were given had a broken and leaking sink. Had to force to be moved. No running 24 hour hot water as promised.even new room had curtains which do not open and dirty sheet Rooms were not cleaned daily, we requested each day and came back to the same room with same sheets and no one even bothered to empty the bins. We had to request new sheets on our 3rd night to be given 2 duvet covers only as that was all they had. Each day had to request new towels and when I did the manager simply laughed and said they would come to the room. Had to visit him twice each time to ask him again. What a joke. The breakfast area was dirty and the table cloths looked like they have never been washed. Very unhygienic and the food quality very poor. Fruit was rotten and old. We only attempted twice and on both occasions the same. Very sad as pictures are not as it seems. There is no spa. There is a man who sits in the basement and offers massages at 1500 rupee for 30 mins. His room is a box and the table he is using is filthy. You really could not even dare have a massage. The pictures overall are so misleading Very poor overall and would NOT recommend this hotel. There are others on the same street which look much nicer and cleaner for the same price. The hotel is also not located on the main road as advertised.It is on a side road and car access is very tricky and congested. (UK resident)

- V RAMANA BABU (4/5): Just another average hotel. - We stayed there for Two days and One night. Rooms are not clean and specially Bathrooms are not cleaned properly. The safe in the Room is not working. The food was very very average. Approach road is very narrow.Ofcourse by Old Delhi standards its oK.
- Katherine (2/5): DONT STAY HERE - actual hotel room was not too bad, but staff was horrible. yelling and screaming two inches from my face, had to haggle for room. completely unprofessional. even if you pay for "deluxe" they will give you a standard room. luckily hotels.com was able to refund, bc we could not stay more than two nights! don't even go downstairs to look for a spa. it's someones sleeping quarters and some dirty machines. yuck. i very rarely write reviews but i would feel horrible letting someone else stay here without warning.

- Assad (6/5): Decent - Booked the hotel, since I wanted to explore Delhi. The location is close to the train station, which seemed nice since we also wanted to visit Taj Mahal in Agra. At first glimpse, when arriving at the hotel (at night), it seemed to be in a very shabby area. It is situated in an alley, which is similar to a village road. Anyway, it wasn't that bad when looking at it during day light. The hotel is decent and there are many restaurants and small shops located close by.

- kathia (6/5): Good budget hotel - Is in Old Delhi, crowded streets, because of that is noisy at night. Clean room and spacious shower but hard to manage. Have them explain it to you. Good local breakfast, buffet style so you can have how much you want. They can set you up with a driver and prepare tours for you, we like Vikhram, great guy!. Seems hard to find for the taxis from the airport, make sure you have the phone number of the hotel so the driver can call them to speed the process. There were some dogs barking at night, but with earplugs is fine, we were so tired at night it didn't seem to matter. Delhi is a fun place to be. Clean and well priced hotel. We are a family of 5 and they put us in a family room and it was ok.

- Neel (4/5): Never staying here again! - We were made to wait for 20 minutes since the rooms were still to be cleant n ready. When we finally got one, the floor was so wet with mopping I almost slipped! The plug point next to bed's headboard wasn't working so only one person could charge their cellphone at a time. The hotel charges for even water in the room while it says complimentary under room offerings. What was complimentary though were couple of used wet towels in the bathroom with floors mucky n fresh with footmarks of cleaning staff.

Dont go on photos as they look good but when i was there despite the nicest room booked the plugs of lamp was damaged. The coffeemaker wasnt there. In england budget hotels are much better for even less price. Breakfast options needs to be taken care off. Less items and coffee is from machine.

- Rita (2/5): An absolute DISASTER - This hotel did NOT give me the room I reserved. I showed them my Hotels.com voucher regarding my reserved room with a coffeemaker and a minibar, and they insisted I take a room with half the lights burned out, TV reception completely OUT, and no hot water. They don't care WHAT you've reserved on this website. To add to the headaches, the WiFi signal only worked on the ground floor and the help (mostly 20-year-old men) loitered rightoutside the room for long rooms talking and laughing. I did NOT feel safe here and I chained my luggage to the furniture every time I left the room. There are only two good things I can say about my stay: 1) the A/C worked well, and 2) the doorman was helpful and courteous. I recommend you NOT stay here. I don't know why they're even listed on Hotels.com if they're going to ignore my reservation details and treat me like a second-class customer.

- Solo Female Traveler (4/5): Not great, but ok. - I was a solo female traveler during my stay at Uppal International. I spent a lot of time trying to find a neighborhood and a location where I would feel safe as a single female. Overall, the area is fine. The crowds and the noise should not be perceived as unsafe. I did feel constantly on alert in the hotel though; more so than normal when I travel alone which is about 1-2 times per month. Though I had the do not disturb light on, at one point two men used a key to enter my room. They did leave immediately, but it was unclear to me who they were. There were also loud screaming and doors clamming through the night. The staff was also not very friendly. For the most part they left me alone, but weren't very welcoming or hospitable. Different staff members also quoted me different prices for the same service; sometimes double. Once I pointed out the lower cost quoted from a different staff, they obliged and offered the lower cost. I felt that they looked for opportunities to take advantage of the guests. Finally, the hotel was very hard to find. It sits on a side road off of the main one. The local driver couldn't find it and even stopping to ask people/other business owners in the neighborhood where it was located didn't work.

- Kate (4/5): Uppal International - I had been volunteering in northern India for three weeks at a school and chose this hotel for a relaxing first night back in Delhi before travelling. Unfortunately it was anything but relaxing. We checked into the hotel at 12pm and were told that our four bed family room was currently unavailable due to some trouble with the previous guests, but our bags would be moved at 6pm that evening. We agreed that wasn't a problem as we would be busy sightseeing all day, but would come back to the hotel for 6pm so we could move our things. We got back after cutting our day short and the room wasn't ready, so we showered in the room we were being held in and went for dinner in the hotel restaurant. At 8:30pm our room still wasn't ready. We had been checked in over 8 hours by this point and I had offered previously they could put another bed in the three bedroomed room if we could have discounted price, which they refused. I was getting increasingly angry, having been awake for over 32 hours and wanting to sleep, but the member of staff found the situation hilarious and was smirking the entire time while doing nothing to help, just insisting I wait five minutes longer. When we finally got to speak to the manager he was of little assistance except finally getting us into our room, over 9 hours after checking in. And then still we had to get some of the bedding changed due to a dirty mark on the duvet cover. The hotel was beautiful but the experience was ruined by the staff and management
- Pierre (8/5): Good hotel - Good hotel for staying few days. The description of the room says that there is Bathrobe, minibar, sleepers...I didn't get any of this. The cleaness of the bathroom is to be checked again as papers was left on the floor, traces of dirt in the sink. also the door of the safe was not working even they tried to tell me it was ok, but didn't used it at the end. The good part are that the hotel is confortable, no noise of the street, breakfast is good, the bed is very confortable, the surroundings are good to go and eat or drink something, the train station/Metro is at 5-10 min walking
- Lak (6/5): Good value for budget travelers - Hot water not available.You have to ask for hot water for shower. Toileteries non-existent, little variety of breakfast which is not always replenished if it is once finished. Otherwise food ordered for room service is good and prices are reasonable. Very noisy at times with intercom phones in the corridors

- Santiago (6/5): Nice hotel room in delhi centre!!! - The room very very nice and the room servirce...but the breakfeast really bad, very worm on breakfeast, no a/c and very limited.and other think wich i feel like wasnt nice was the recepcionist ask me to pay my bills Cash when i said to pay with credit card because he dont has Cash on the desk and has people waiting For check in..so he insist to take from a ATM and like was on rush to fly i acept...and i was trying to dont use my card in a ATM in India...i think is a disrespect to do that..
