- Wells (5/5): - Location was good I couldn't get into my room - the key didn't work. The staff tried & failed. The only other room available had a broken TV. It made a disappointing stay

- Charles (8/5): Nice relaxing after a long day of driving. - Great Sound proofing a little thin.
Heard Tv or such from adjacent space. I don’t think it was another suite.

- Rovel (10/5): Alot of bang for your Buck. - Everything was Fantastic 😊😊 Honestly everything was Fantastic

- Matthew (8/5): - Staff was unable to check in until 30 minutes after 4:00 after I requested a non-guaranteed check in for 3:00. It’s understandable to not guarantee early check in, but it’s weird if staff ignores and does not prioritize the single waiting guest. If I were management I would have a better way to manage cleaning so that guests can check in when they request instead of leaving it up to the cleaning crew.
- Jeanette (10/5): - The kitchen was fully equipped with a dishwasher, dishwasher soap, stove, dishes, drinking glasses, coffee cups, pots, utensils, dish washing soap and sponge. The rooms are really clean and quiet. I only heard noise when out in the hall and I'm truly grateful for that because we are loud Giants fans and watched the game in our room. We were loud. clapping and cheering and no complaints!!! I definitely recommend this hotel!
- Ronald (8/5): - Yes, no pets
- Sicleana (10/5): - comfortable. good blueberry muffins.
- Ixchel (6/5): - Not too bad
But could have been better if customer service was better

- William (9/5): Very nice overall facility. - Location was convenient, staff were excellent. Room was clean and well organized. No issues at all with room as far as function. Could use a little touch up but nothing that affected the stay. Cabinets and paint could use repair. Cabinet door under sink was loose and falling when opened to access trash. Paint was chipped and worn in bathrooms on shelves. Would have been nice for breakfast to extend past 9am but Dunkin’ was across the street so we utilized that.
- Joshua (10/5): Great place! - Room and overall hotel was fantastic. Clean, great location and helpful staff. We were here for parents weekend at UofSC and it’s a perfect location. 15 min to campus. Worth it!
- Erin (10/5): Great experience! Perfect to get to from the game! - Located in the perfect spot for the Carolina game The snacks are a little pricey
- Daniella (10/5): - Racing was very pleasant that checked me in and the room was nice
- Sandie (10/5): Weekend getaway - Here’s a polished short review you could use:
Perfect spot for a quick couple’s getaway! Conveniently close to the zoo. We stayed in a one-bedroom suite that was just right for the weekend — loved having separate living and sleeping areas. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower was a great size. Would definitely stay again.
- Porter (3/5): Don't use booking... just go directly to the hotel... safe yourself the trouble! - The location and overall the staff was friendly. The mold in the bathroom (bath tub and yes I have photos), the tub was backed up. The toilet seat wasn't cleaned and we had to do a lot of re-cleaning ourselves. The wifi (free) was terrible! The most important issue was that my boyfriend went to the hotel and didn't have his physical card. The hotel told him to call booking.com to handle the situation. Tried calling booking or contacting booking and it was a nightmare trying to get a real person to handle our concern. We ended up paying for the SAME nights with my debit card. WE are out of 807! I want my money back or someone to contact me. I do have all the information needed.
- Franca (10/5): Clean and comfy - It was great everything clean and comfirtable
- Lucas (10/5): - The room was very comfortable and a great deal for what I got!
- Chrissie (10/5): - I've stayed at this property multiple times and have never had a bad experience.

- Ann (10/5): - The whole stay was awesome!
- Keasia (10/5): - Great place to stay!
- Annette (10/5): - I really enjoyed my stay!!! I
- Pamela (6/5): - Property was nice, however rooms had roaches
- Kierra (4/5): - There were so many issues with this property. The first one is the cleanliness of the rooms. Second, the breakfast options could be much better. And the amount available as well. Thirdly, the front desk agents were completely unaware of how to fix internet issues which CONTINUED to happen throughout our stay. Instead of them getting help, we were directed to call the technician to fix the tv internet. The pool was DIRTY with green all around the inside and the water was so murky you couldn’t see to the bottom. The water burned our eyes. Overall, this was a lackluster experience to say the least.
- Nathaniel (9/5): -
- Janae (10/5): - Breakfast was excellent and staff was very friendly. Hotel was clean and updated.
It's weird how you have to get to the hotel. It's not right on the road, you drive by store fronts to get to hotel tucked behind. GPS takes you there okay though. Breakfast includes hot oatmeal with 10 topping choices, English muffins, yogurt, apples, bananas, bagels, 3 cereals, grits, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, pork sausage, turkey sausage, frittata, Belgian waffles. Orange juice, apple juice, hot coffee, cold brew, hot tea, hot chocolate. Everything is delicious.
Pool was cloudy and you couldn't see your toes in 3 feet shallow end. Seemed ok since none of us had ill effects.
Electrical outlets in bedside table didn't work but used wall outlet.
Overall very good experience. We would stay there again.
- Rodney (10/5): - 5
- Andrea (10/5): - Everything in spite of being charge twice I was charged Twice, once with booking.com then at the hotel
- Tapeka (6/5): -
- Angeleena (6/5): - Our deadbolt on the room door didn’t work, there was blood in the bathroom (Lord only knows what that was from)
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great place to stay - Convenient, clean and affordable
- Charles (8/5): - Hotel could use some updates. Disappointed that we had to make up the sofa bed!
- Eric (5/5): Passable -
- jerri (10/5): - Convenient location near freeway and restaurants. Friendly staff, nice breakfast.
- Jacob (9/5): Superb - It was spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was on point every morning. The staff was helpful and kind. Everything you need was in your room. Pool was closed due to excessive rain. Definitely need an indoor pool. Elevator (car 2) was wonky.
- Charles (10/5): - 123
- Eric (8/5): Very good -
- Stacey (10/5): - Secluded
- Christina (10/5): - Room was clean
- Ben (10/5): - Very clean and convenient!
- Derrick (10/5): Exceptional -
- MARTIN (10/5): - Clean and easily accessible to all major areas throughout the Columbia South Carolina area. My go to hotel when I visit this area . Breakfast is top notch too! Wish they would put a bar and and small restaurant on the premises to make it complete but there are plenty establishments within a few blocks
- Avis (8/5): Very good -
- Debby (10/5): Outstanding hotel - Excellent hotel, very clean, friendly & helpful staff. Breakfast was wonderful and coffee was outstanding! Rooms were nice size and kitchenette was very clean. Our room was very quiet.
- Sean (10/5): - Great staff. Needs better housekeeping. A lot of rooms are shabby.
- Rodney (10/5): - G
- GRETTA (10/5): - Unfortunately, I was not able to take advantage of too many of the amenities. I booked this hotel because it was closet to my daily destination and is offered a full size refrigerator.
The staff was friendly and I would stay here again if I was in the area.
- Darrin (10/5): - The staff was nice and thebfood was good.
- Melvinea (10/5): - The location was within walking distance of many popular food spots and within a short driving distance to area shopping.
Will definitely stay there again.
- Latoya (8/5): Nice Stay - We have stayed in this location several times staying in Columbia. The staff was very friendly the room could have been cleaned better there was sewage smell there was water left in our dish washer.
- Helen (7/5): Good - Didn’t know there was a breakfast until we were leaving.
Front desk manager was not very customer friendly when checking in and when we ask for additional supplies. However, a person cleaning the halls got what we needed.
- robin (10/5): - Clean quiet and great suite for a family event
- Victoria (2/5): - I ended up with bed nug bites all over my right arm. I thought it was misquote bites bit the doctor said it wasn't. The bites started showing up early Monday which is about the time eesearch said they would. The bites are very itchy and uncomfortable. I would not recommend this location to anyone.
- Reuven (1/5): My reservation I made and paid for was nowhere to be found in the system. I was left waiting for over 1.5 hrs until alm - Not much Everything pretty much
- Vicki (6/5): Bugs - First night found a spider in the bed and when we left today, we found a cockroach in the bathroom
- Kori (10/5): Exceptional -
- Allison (10/5): Weekend Getaway - Great Location
- Matthew (10/5): -
- pam (10/5): - Property was good condition. No covered parking area to unload when raining. We left a computer charger in the room and after numerous calls were told it could not be found? Staff never offered to really go check room carefully. The 10 foot cord could not have "walked off"
- derrikf2022 (2/5): Extremely Disappointing Experience – Unethical Billing Practices and Poor Customer Service - I’ve never been more disappointed in a Marriott property than I was with the Residence Inn during our recent business stay. We had reserved multiple rooms for a corporate trip, and despite having confirmation of the original rates and Titanium Elite status, the hotel blatantly overcharged one of my new employees.
The reason? A local event was happening, and instead of honoring our confirmed rate, the hotel chose to capitalize on demand by hiking prices after we had booked. When we brought this to their attention, they refused to honor the original reservation terms and also denied us the option to cancel. This is a clear example of Marriott’s brand being misrepresented by local greed and poor leadership.
To make matters worse, the front desk manager, Owillinda Brooke’s, was shockingly rude to my employee — a young professional just starting out. Her dismissive and condescending attitude is completely unacceptable and reflects a serious failure in customer service training.
We chose Marriott for loyalty, consistency, and professionalism — none of which were present here. I strongly advise business travelers, especially those traveling with teams, to avoid this property. If Marriott corporate cares about their brand integrity, they’ll take a hard look at how this property is operating. Until then, we’ll be taking our business elsewhere.
- Allison (10/5): - Great Staff Convenient Location Room lay out was perfect.
- Rodney (10/5): - 👍
- Rodney (10/5): - Great place
- Katherine (1/5): It was horrible stay away - When I checked in with my daughter I asked for a 2nd or 3rd floor room since we were not with my husband they did not try to accommodate. After we went to bed I had to use the bathroom when I came back out there were bugs crawling on the bed. It was so late that I work my daughter up and we slept on the sofa not pulled out. The shower had only one setting and when I went to by something at the market place they couldn’t make change
- Aaron J (8/5): Nice place to stay...just a stroke of bad luck. - Hotels was nice and clean. Breakfast was decent. Our room was spacious. Only 2 complaints, if you will, are the tv was small and positioned in a place where it hurts your neck to watch from bed at night and also, we we're woken up by a call at 7:37am from the front desk asking if we drove a Nissan something or other. It wouldn't have bothered us if we hadn't checked in so late being on this road trip. Still a nice place to stay. Just a little bad luck, I guess.
- Ulla (8/5): Good comfortable stay with great breakfast - Overall very good. Clean and comfortable room. Surprisingly tasty and varied breakfast was included in our room rate.
- Leslie (4/5): Never staying there again - Location A $70 pet fee, non-refundable, not disclosed prior to booking, for one well behaved 6 pound Yorkie, for one night. Outrageous!
The lighting was brutally blinding bright. Inside and out Breakfast hours were different than every other Residence Inn we’ve stayed in, but we were NOT told the breakfast hours at check-inl
- joseph m (6/5): Noisy - Our room was in the front of the hotel and the the fire trucks and ambulance siren woke us up several times during the night. We requested a room change and it was problem at all to move to back of hotel where you only heard the ambulance sirens. Breakfast was good not great. Service was very good and friendly.
- julia (10/5): - Easy check in. Pleasant staff.
Had a fire alarm go off and had to evacuate
- Patricia (10/5): - Not a lot of parking spots for guests. Checking was great. Staff excellent.
- Cassandra (10/5): - Great stay
- Sharron (10/5): Great Hotel - It was great, nice hotel and rooms were clean.
- Velecia (10/5): - Great staff very clean
- Bruce (6/5): OK Place - Comfortable one-night stay, but there were some very basic things that were not right: coffee maker in the room did not work, there was no body wash in the shower dispenser, and the rubber molding separating the carpet from the kitchen floor was messed up - causing potential trips. (Room 120)
- Jerri (10/5): - Convenient location while visiting family. Hard to find entrance to facility
- Nyrie (10/5): Exceptional - I must say the room was very comfortable, the staff was awesome throughout my stay , I will be coming back
- carol (10/5): - Absolutely lovely place to stay. Comfortable clean and great staff
- Tina (1/5): Bad -
- Katrina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shannon (8/5): Big room - We were visiting the area to spend Thanksgiving with our son. The room was large and the location was great!
- Ingrid (10/5): - Great property, friendly staff. Art, maintenance employee, was wonderful! I dropped an earring into the bathroom sink drain and he removed it for me, wonderful!
- Millissa (10/5): - Worst Marriot I have ever stayed in. Didn't know they were under renovation when I booked. The building and neighborhood is not welcoming at all. Stains on the carpet, sink didn't work, rust in mini fridge and on bathtub, had an odor that was making my head hurt. Only stayed for 3 hours of my 5 night. Front desk staff was nice though. As a Bonvoy rewards member and a human being, I was disgusted with this hotel. I DO NOT recommend anyone stays here.
- ErwinH251 (4/5): Roach in the bathroom - After completing my shower a roach crawled into the bathroom. This is unacceptable. There was no courtesy or consideration regarding the fact that this happened. The clerk (night shift 11/15) was informed and she stated “it’s common for roaches to be in the rooms this time of year”. Its uncommon for any rodent to be in a room where patron lay and leave their belongings anytime of year. Especially for the cost of the stay in this hotel
- Sheryl (10/5): - Such a friendly staff and nice property! Thank you!
- Robin (2/5): Watch for $20 incidentals charge after checking ou - Hotel was clean and room was nice. Bathroom light in shower was extremely dim. No ice bucket in room. Only one ice machine on second floor. Asked front desk clerk for ice bucket and she said they didn’t have any. Another guest wanted an ice bucket so she hunted and found two buckets but no lids. Told us only one ice machine on second floor for all three floors. We stayed on first floor. After leaving this morning I got an alert from my credit card that we were charged $20 from the hotel. Called the hotel and talked to Rachel. She said that was the charge for incidentals. She said in case we broke anything. She said all hotels charge you. I told her we have Never had this happen before! I had asked for a receipt when I turned in my keys and there was no charge on it. My balance was zero! She told me the charge might be taken off in 3 to 5 days. That is crazy! They should go into your room when you check out to make sure everything is fine. The cleaning lady could break something and charge the guest. We will not be staying at anymore Residence Inn!
- Victor (8/5): - Read above
- johngG5656QF (10/5): Pleasant stay allowing us to enjoy the wedding that we traveled for. - The rooms are clean, the staff is excellent. We traveled for a family wedding and many of us stayed at the hotel. I had a package delivered to the hotel and due to weather conditions it arrived after my stay. Rachael at the front desk helped me to get this package shipped to me. She took measurements and provided approx. weight, and placed the new label on the package. Thank you!
