I was not able to connect to an important international meeting and was forced to go to another hotel to use their business center. Although the room was supposed to be non-smoking, the hallway stunk of cigarette smoke.

Excellent service from entering the hotel, breakfast with lots of options from Chinese breakfast to Western breakfast, etc best I have experienced with Grand Hyatt cross the globe. • Eleni (9/5): Comfortable stay in downtown Shenyang - The room is comfortable and m9dern, with attention to detail. Also well maintained. The location is quite good, adjacent to a commercial centre with shops, supermarket and a lot of options for dining and entertainment, and also facing Youth Park for some down time or morning jogging. A short ride to Mukden Palace ( or a 30-40 minutes walk) and the cultural sites around it. The time it takes to reach the room from ground, as it requires to go through the lobby on the 25th floor and then change into another elevator to go down(most probably) to the rooms. However the view from the lobby is spectacular.
• SAU YAN JENNIFER (10/5): - The staff was very helpful in all my requests. They provide a suite of daily necessities so you don’t need to bring your own - such as, iron, steamer, dental kit, nail clipper etc. all you had to do is ask the guest service. Their layout is slightly odd where you had to go to the higher floors to reach lobby and there was a lot of up and down rides, however, I can see the structure was aimed to be secure as this hotel does have other services (spa, temporary Prada store) available to the public. A special shout out to Nick, Jacob and Jennifer in the reception for their professionalism and customer service!

• guanyuc1995 (10/5): Great Wedding Experience - We booked our wedding here as well as 2 nights of wedding suite, and booked many rooms for our friends. Focusing on the hotel side, the overall experience is fabulous, especially compared to most of our experience in US. location - One of the best location in Shenyang next to a high end shopping mall. Parking can be difficult on weekends but that's same for any poplular place. service - Both wedding event staffs and hotel staffs are very responsive and helpful. They satisfy all our needs like water and equipments and else, very quickly. breakfast - great, both for variety and for the taste. value - It's great value if compared to a US hotel. room - The room is not in the very modern style, but still clean and have most stuff working. 2 issue we noticed for our wedding suite: cold in our bedroom since there're too many windows, but glad they proactively sent a heater. The room lose power on our 2nd night, but they sent a person to quickly fix it. I'd love to stay here again in the future and recommend it to my friends when they visit Shenyang.

• 545mingw (6/5): trying to be more objective - My stay at the Hyatt Grand was, sadly, more disappointing than pleasing. Good things first - our suite was clean and well-laid out. But things went south with the inadequate air conditioning. During our stay, Shen Yang was boiling at 110 degrees. We tried closing the curtain all afternoon, didn't work. Asked the front desk for a room change, they refused. Their solution? A fan, and not even a cooling one, which didn't help us at all. We were literally sweating in our room, even more so after a light exercise from the pool. The front desk blamed it on our room's exposure to the sun, which i agreed, but our nighttime ordeal didn't change. They sent a tecniation and testedair condition wind temperature is normal, but our room was stuck at 78 degrees. The tecnation seemed aware of this problem. He insist to show the aircondtion tempeture only, and try to avoid showing room tmepture, which is more important data to tenant. I reckon their air conditioning simply lacks the horsepower for that particular room. We woke up several times in the night, sweating, and had to sleep without any covers or blankets. After a long day fighting heat, I gave up and booked a premium suite, with four times higher cash price than the standard suite price. Luckly enoguh, i had enough Hyatt points to book insetad. Here, at least the air conditioning was right. But there were zero welcome fruits or proper drinking cups, only small tea cups. Also, the ice machine was broken. The view from the bedroom was of an unfinished skyscraper right in front of us, forcing us to keep our curtains closed. On the day of my departure, my flight was at 5 pm so I requested a 3 pm checkout. However, I was told to check out at 12 pm and the best they could do was to extend it to 2 pm, which was my original right as an Explorist. They didn't even bother checking the room information before giving a generic response. After these two days of suite vacation at the Hyatt Grand, I am left more frustrated than satisfied. I hope future guests don't have to endure the same issues.
• JackDSF (2/5): Hotel room temperature is 82F! - This is one of the worst 4- or 5- star hotel I ever stayed. The room temperature was 28 degreeC or 82 degreeF in April. When I complained to the customer service, they told us the central air conditioner was set that way and cannot be changed. I can’t believe a hotel let guests live in 28 C rooms and do nothing to improve the condition. Multiple customers complained the room temperature. You are not coming to an 5-star hotel but a sauna room.

• atstjx (10/5): Best breakfast buffet ever? - The hotel is gorgeous, centrally located, quiet, clean, and has perhaps the best breakfast buffet I've ever tasted. The selection and, above all, the quality were incredible. Highly recommended. My only complaint is the double elevator system - every time you go to your room or leave the hotel, you have to access the lobby level (somewhere on the 24th floor) before transferring to another elevator to either go to your room or to floor level. Not a big deal. Will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Shenyang.

• jasone953 (10/5): Excellent in all areas! - My wife and I stayed here for our 20th anniversary. From check-in to check-out we had a great experience. The room was spacious and comfortable. The dinner and breakfast buffets were amazing. There were 2 hot tubs in the pool area. Often hot tubs are just in the locker rooms at hotels in China. The view from the lounge allows you to see a large park and a lot of the city. I highly recommend this hotel!

• Chenguang (10/5): A Great one night stay - It was a great short stay. The picture window was the biggest surprise, the view too. Very nice in-room dining, food arrived on time and hot. Wish I could stay longer in the city so that I could write more about the club. I did went up to the club floor at the wrong time so no service was performed, but the decoration and the view looked nice. Parking was a little trouble some. The parking lot right in front of the entrance offers only limited parking space, most guests are directed to the underground parking garage. It was not a distant drive, but it does take some more time to park near the hotel elevators, as opposed to parking on-ground. Another thing is you can’t go directly from the garage to the lobby. A transfer is required on the ground floor. The lobby is on one of the highest floors, which is pretty common for Grand Hyatt. Not a bad idea to share the best view with every guest.

It had been more than what I’ve ever expected a hotel to be. Right away, I noticed how my room look ultra modern in design. Thank you to all the friendly staff for making my stay worth while. Even on the day of my arrival to Shenyang — I’ve had a warm welcoming. I highly recommend staying at Grand Hyatt.

• Godfrey (10/5): Certainly the best hotel in the city centre - Certainly the best hotel in the city centre and adjoins the Mix C Shopping centre with all the European Designer Fashion retail outlets to be found with a large extensive range. The breakfast buffet at the Hyatt on level 26 certainly caters for all with the wide range of food, pastries and juice bar with a fantastic view of the city and parklands. The Grand Hyatt at this location is certainly very good value for money with great views in all directions

• Martha (10/5): Way Better Than Our First Shenyang Hotel - This was our second trip to Shenyang and we were very pleased with the Grand Hyatt. Our room was very satisfactory with just one quirk: the en-suite toilet "room" was across from the rest of the bathroom rather than being part of it. Other than that - the room was comfortable and our view of the city spectacular. We had guests at the lunch buffet twice and we all agreed the food was excellent with many, many choices. The hotel's location is very convenient - we will definitely stay there again on our next trip.

• Verified traveler (4/5): Was disappointed with inflexible staff - was told to the front desk that our flight was cancelled in Beijing and will not be turning up on the 1st night. A one night penalty fee will be charged. That's fine, until we checked in the next day, we were told that that have given my King size room out and I only have a 2 single bed room. No matter how much I request but the answer was still no more room. Unfriendly and un compromise. The room given was small. If your flights are cancelled, your next night's room will not be the same as the one you book for.

• Verified traveler (10/5): 最高です！ - 　２月上旬に２泊しました。ロビーは２５階にありますが、天井が高く全面ガラスで大変明るく景色もよく感動しました。部屋は１６階でやはり窓が広く眼下に公園が広がり落ち着けました。中国では珍しくバスとトイレが完全に別々だったのが嬉しかったです。隣のショッピングモールへはホテルからつながっているので寒いなか外に出ずに行けたのが大変よかったです。（主にレストランを利用しました。）夜はバーに行きましたが１日目はロビー横でピアノ演奏を聴きながら落ち着いた雰囲気でくつろげました。２日目は最上階でライブを楽しみました。次回も瀋陽滞在の際は是非また利用したいと思います。
• toby (6/5): ショッピングセンターとつながっている - ショッピングセンターに直接行けるのは便利。でも近くにコンビニが無い。夜遅くは不便。私が泊まった部屋は広くバスタブとシャワーは別になっている。クロークの部屋も別にあった。ただバスタブは深さはあるが、お湯が溜められない。沐浴専用ぽいです。お湯に浸かりたい私にとっては、凄く不満。スタッフは、英語か中国語のみ。日本語は通じない。ジャパニーズイングリッシュで話しても、通じなかったのも不満。完璧な発音はできません。
• Verified traveler (10/5): 很不错的酒店 - 整体装潢很怀旧，房间用的还是木地板。很喜欢这样的风格。服务质量挺满意的，只是大堂去到房间楼层会让人转不过弯来，有些迷惑，因为电梯是往下的。

• Ytoshi (10/5): 特別の贅沢な空間 - ２５階のロビーで受付。エレベーターホールに行くと、その装飾の美しさに魅了されました。グランドクラブの前を過ぎ、部屋に到着。部屋に入るとワクワクするような綺麗な絨毯、寝心地のよさそうなベッド。広い空間のシャワールーム。贅沢な時間を過ごせます。
