- Piovano (8/5): -
- Georgiev (3/5): Not great! - The location is good, the balcony was massive and the view was stunning…
The staff were very friendly and welcoming! Very outdated with nothing in the room. The bed was super uncomfortable, the pillows were flat and solid, the tv didn’t even work. There’s no fridge and you can hear everything that’s happening in the entire hotel! Not to mention that the breakfast was horrible with not much choice. Just a lot of shop bought pastries.
The beach advertising isn’t free. We had to pay additional €30 a day which isn’t a lot but there’s not even sand just a concrete slab that’s not maintained. Showers at “the beach” not included with your sun beds either they are extra €0.5 cents.
Won’t recommend and won’t stay there again!
- Szabolcs (10/5): Alapvetően jó ár-érték arányú, szép környezetben fekszik. - Finom reggeli, szép környék. A parkoló kevés a szálloda mellett, feljebb is van, de kevésbé gondozott.
- brioni (7/5): - VISTA MARE E GRANDE COLAZIONE

Personale sempre carino, educato e gentile.
Accesso alla spiaggia relativamente comodo e veloce.
Condizionatore nuovo, balcone ampio con tavolino e sedie
Colazione varia, ed abbondante, tutto molto buono.
Parcheggio disponibile a pochi passi (gradini) dall'Hotel.
- Liudmila (7/5): - Breakfast, cleanliness, balcony view. Location. It is far from everything
No drinking water provided
No fridge
No WiFi
The hotel is very old and "tired".
- 929klm (8/5): Nice place - Very kind staff that helped us with many things. A little old in the rooms but the view was amazing, and i liked the big balcony
I will return
Mancanza del frigo bar in camera

- Tomek (9/5): Superb - Old place with a twist of Italian vibes
- Verified traveler (6/5): Medelbra upplevelse - Fint läge på hotellet. Behov av renovering. Saknade uteservering till frukosten. Inte några grönsaker på frukosten, mest onyttigheter. Rum och uteplats var inte jätterena. Trevligt bemötande
- alan (8/5): PERFECT TRIP - Lovely hotel in beautiful location. View from room was amazing
- Yascara (10/5): - The staff in this hotel is awesome. They try to help and accommodate to your needs all the time. The hotel is clean and the view is incredible.
- Ian (8/5): Hotel is in a lovely location - The seaside view It is a bit tired and could do with some refurbishment
- Saemundur (6/5): Pleasant -
- Mario (4/5): - View on the sea, excellent
- Aleksandar (8/5): Very good -
- janicepN8983HQ (2/5): Time warp - This place is in a beautiful location but it seems to be dead on its feet. Our balcony had cracks near the rails and we were put off admiring the view from it as it felt unsafe. There are some very crude repairs apparent. The curtains were see through so if you need a dark room to sleep don’t go here. Pillows were very thin and flat. There were 3 power points in the room and one had the tv plugged into it so if you have more than a phone each to charge you’ll be unlucky. There’s no kettle and no fridge. There are lots of stairs inside and out and we had to carry bikes up and down them. Not ideal. The shower is in the same area as the toilet and separated only by a clingy shower curtain. General stale smell throughout the hotel.
- Matej (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (3/5): Poor - Rooms need to be updated.
Overall interior needs to be updated.
- Anita (5/5): Passable -
- Maria benedetta (6/5): - Pochi posti auto
- Ronald (6/5): It could use a bit of TLC and s bit of touch up as the place has so much potential! - The view, the closeness to the sea. Institutional style announcements attached here giving redundant information and saying what you couldn’t do.
- Admir (8/5): A comfortable stay but a refurbishment is desperately needed. - Chiara, at the front desk, was very friendly and helpful.
The food in the restaurant was great during both dinner and breakfast.
The beach accessible from the hotel via lift and stairs.
Unbeatable views over the Mediterranean. The hotel is old and in desperate need of refurbishment.
- Andrew (9/5): Lovely tranquil place, great friendly staff and good variety breakfast is included in price. - The view from the terrace is amazing. Good breakfast. It was a bit dated but in general very nice.
- Michal (7/5): Good - Sea view from terace. Reach breakfast. Bathroom was ugly
- Coral (3/5): The Ryanair of hotels- and avoid the bagno at all costs - Room size, balcony view and breakfast all excelled. The air conditioning worked well. Some of the reception was nice, helped arrange a taxi, let us check in early and let us leave our bags on check-out so we could spend more time at the beach. As many of the reviews state, the structure is extremely outdated and could use some renovation. The bathroom is extremely decayed, very musty (mold perhaps?) the ceiling in the shower falling apart and the shower box had broken bits clearly taped together. The beds were OK and the linens were basic. Fine for just a one night stay, and honetly I only stayed because it was a last minute overnight trip but if you can plan in advance- stay elsewhere.
The real damper on the stay was the abusive treatment at the hotel's bagno (paid beach area with umbrellas and lounge chairs):
Do not book the bagno below the hotel. The staff there are aggressive, obnoxious and extremely rude and need therapy or counseling. The chairs cost 32eu for 2 hotel guests (45eu for non-guests), but they nickel and dime you elsewhere. Showers are usually offered at bagni but here they are coin operated, meaning you have to pay for the shower. I made mention I found this unusual and they proceeded to yell, insult and name call me. Very unprofessional, uncouth behavior from what should be adults. If I hadn't gone to the bagno, the hotel would have been tolerable for what it was for a night.
This should not be rated as a 3 star hotel.
Suggestions: Would have been nice to have a kettle or a coffee machine in the room as well as a mini-fridge. They should hire new staff for the bagno and not charge for the showers.
- Jennie (3/5): Poor -
- David (10/5): Excellent stay for a relaxing vacation - Breakfast is delicious with fresh ingredients and homemade cakes. Dinner are fabulous. Menu change every night. Loved every dinner. Thank you Gabriella. Tania the receptionist and room supervisor did our stay excellent. She was very responsive and provide with any request we had. This is called great customer service. Hotel is dated but functional. A little bit of refreshing would be helpful.
- Peter (7/5): Pleasant stay short walk from centre - Breakfast was good. The hotel requires refurbishment. The staff are friendly and helpful Wifi only available in reception area and not in rooms
- Jeremy (5/5): Passable - ?????
- Robert (7/5): Good value for short stay only. - Excellent views and helpful staff. Great coffee and variety of sweet pasteries for breakfast. Limited parking places next to the hotel, but extra are available nearby. Unique experience of riding the hotel elevator (max 2 person). Smelly bathroom and very limited breakfast choices if you are not in the sweets. Outrageous prices for sunbeds at the "private" beach (not part of the hotel).
- Ermelinda (1/5): hotel baia del sorriso che ti fa perdere il sorriso - only it’s location although it is on a busy street with no sidewalks and a blind turn. very dangerous if on foot and especially at night. it was sub-par. definitely not. 3 star hotel. nothing worked, including the shower which had no box but only a drain (not working) on the bathroom floor. very bad, easy to slip and fall. staff at reception is nasty and night porter is always on her personal dell phone attending to the customers while speaking away with someone on her phone. two women in the breakfast room very nice.
- Loredana (8/5): - Posizione sul meraviglioso mare
- johnbhansen (4/5): Old and badly in need of renovation - Nice view, but that’s it. Furniture and fixtures (especially bathroom) are very old and not comfortable. Breakfast limited, but typical Italian…mostly coffee, sweets and pastries. Stayed one night. Would not return.
- Jennifer (9/5): Superb -
- Wim (1/5): Bad - Dear miss or sir,
I informed the hotel on the day that we hired the room that our rented car
Had broke down and we hopefully be in. We could not the car was not possible to repair. I informed the hotel to cancel the next day. That we also booked.
They said can only be canceled through booking.com. (Remember we were in the
Middle of nowhere in Tuscany with police and waiting for a towingtruck in the evening and a lot of stress )
Late in the night and moretimes next day I tried to reach booking.com on the app
To cancel the hotel. The app didn’t work on my and my wives phone. On both days.
I hope after reading this you can see that it was impossible for us to stay at the hotel and give us some money back. We’re not insured.
Greetings
Wim Hoogstra
- Emil (10/5): 9 - Dinner was like in the most elite restaurant. The cook is perfect. Waiters, staff are nice, and cleanliness reigns everywhere. The view from the room is unforgettable. Huge terrace above the sea. Great location! . breakfast was weak, there is hardly any choice. there are many types of cakes and they were nice.
- Alex (9/5): Superb -
- LvAndel (4/5): An absolute NO - Nice on the outside, the rest is very poor. The rooms and furniture is very old and poorly kept. Ants in the bathroom. No hooks for the shower, broken hooks for the towels. Broken electricity socket next to your head. Pillows of at least 50 years old. Scary elevator. Ugly "private" beach with absurd prices. Very u friendly personnel A total no. Only the breakfast was ok even though long waiting times because only 1 person serving.
- Randall (10/5): I would highly recommend this establishment - The staff was friendly and very helpful.
The front desk provided us with all the info we needed, and they let us stay at the facility after our check out time as a courtesy due to our train been few hours later.
The cleaning crew was very friendly and attent. The room were always clean and fresh smelling each day.
The restaurant staff were again friendly, caring, and willing to go an extra mile to ensure all our needs were meet!
I want to said thank you to you all!
We went there for visit my young nieces after the recent passing of my sister and you all made this time easier for all of us! This is not something that I didn't like, but just a preference. The room pillow were very thin, I would have preferred them to be a little bit ticker.
- Camila (8/5): Very good - The location is incredible
The view is amazing
The hotel is not recommened for people with any sort of limited mobility. NOTA AT ALL!
- Christopher (10/5): - Beautiful location with caring staff.
- Cecilia (8/5): - La struttura è pulita e confortevole, lacolazione abbondante.
- Arne (8/5): Value for money - Good stay in a little bit worn down hotel.
Very nice seaview from the room.
Short walk to town centre.
Ok breakfast.
No refrigerator in the room.
- 384pietrob (6/5): great view, rooms a bit dated - our room was small and generally a bit dated. However, the room had a door to a magnificent (private) balcony, with a superb view on the sea and the coast. Perfect sunset. breakfast OK. walking to town is about 10 min, very nice along the beach at daytime; coming back at night we chose the road: you need to be careful because of (rare) cars.
- Edwin Thomas (6/5): - The room with balcony view facing the Mediterranean was a four star view, but the property really needs to be upgraded. It’s clean and efficient, but again could be brought up to modern standards. The staff was all welcoming and friendly. There was a little initial glitch on the room I paid for not including the second bedroom, but that was resolved when brought to their attention. This property is on the cliff side with 100 steps to the beach and beach bar area. Nothing bad, just could be improved.
- tt22lfc (6/5): Reasonably priced but tired - The hotel has amazing views and the staff are second to none but I want to give an honest review.
The room was immaculate. The cleaning lady was so helpful and if I could I would have taken her home with! The hotel is a 8 min walk to town centre but you have to pass a bend on a road with a blind spot. Very frightening at night. The breakfast was just ok. If you like buns and pastries you will be fine. No eggs not even cold eggs and a small selection of cold meat and cheese. Has air conditioning
The not so great points.
No fridge in the room
No ironing board
No WiFi unless you are actually standing in reception - so if you need to use WiFi you got to go stand in reception.
The hotel is old - no two table lamps or chairs or tables are the same. Our room had half of a ceiling fan. Fan blades missing. No pool and I know the beach is just at the hotel with a lift but you still need to go down a lot of steps and pay 20 euros per day for two sun loungers. Beach is rocky with no sand just concrete with a tiny piece of sand in the corner that everyone hogs. Beach bar offers a great selection of food and drink. Would I revisit perhaps if I was on a budget however, would much rather pay extra and find a hotel with a pool in the town centre. Cannot fault the staff though nice people.
- 840jonatan (4/5): Not great - Went here for 3 nights, the location is great, with a stair from the bottom floor down to a lovely beach, but that’s pretty much it. The rooms are not great, everything is quite old and could use some freshening up, and you hear your neighbors quite well. the breakfast was not great, we went to a cafe in the village for breakfast instead even though it was included. We decided to leave one day early and go to another hotel for our last night in the area.
- MauriceTangredi (8/5): Great location, fantastic views, friendly staff - The hotel's location is excellent, only a short distance to the centre of town We booked a sea view room, which offered great views of the below cliffs and across the bay. The room was simple, nice and clean, it also had a small terrace with a table and two chairs. The bathroom, I believe, requires an update. The hotel's staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel offers free parking and breakfast was included in the room rate. Breakfast was served in the dinning room with spectacular views out to sea. The breakfast consisted of cereals, yoghurts, cold meats and cheese, pastries, juices and tea and coffee. Would recommend Hotel Baia del Sorriso for a quiet weekend away.
- geoffmay (6/5): Disappointing - Good views from rooms, good car park and a great position. Unfortunately it stops here this hotel is tired and needs some serious TLC. Breakfast was ok could have more variety. Trying to get a taxi was difficult as no one seemed to want to come out.
That’s all folks.
