• Ramy (2/5): No refund or No Credit due to COVID - Due to COVID i was not able to travel, US citizens are not allowed in Italy. I reached out to both Hotels.com and Locanda al Duomo. Hotels.com responded they would follow up, haven't heard in a week. Locanda al Duomo did not respond to my messages through hotels.com. My credit card was charged.

• Verified traveler (4/5): - I liked the property's location. But the facilities were poor, the air conditioning didn't work, and we had to pull the double bed apart into two singles despite having a confirmation of our booking being for twin beds.
• Donny (10/5): Nice place with extras - Room was good and having the kitchen available is a nice option, but we only used the refrigerator. The elevator is charming, but the best part is the terrace on the roof. A wonderful place to relax in the evening after a long day of travel or sightseeing. Instructions for checking in were easy to follow.

The bathroom had sewage foul odor. The air-conditioning unit was old and took a long time to cool the place down. Overall it was not the most pleasant experience.

• Bill (6/5): - Clean spacious room but staff texted stating they needed new card details over Whatsapp as Locanda don’t take Amex through Expedia. Declined to do that. Expedia said pay on arrival so paid cash and was asked by concierge to pay excess of €20 for not paying online! Refused. At best unprofessional...
• elisa (8/5): Ad un passo da tutto - La posizione della stanza è ottima per poter girare tutto il centro a piedi e/o con là metro. Anche se non c'è nessuno ad accoglierti all'arrivo le operazioni di check in e accesso alla struttura sono molto facili. Giusto sotto allo stabile ci sono diversi bar dove poter fare colazione. L'unica nota negativa ad essere sinceri è la doccia: c'è soltanto una vecchia vasca con una tenda e nemmeno un gancio dove poter appendere il "telefono" della doccia così si è costretti a tenerlo in mano intanto che ci si lava (quindi abbastanza scomodo). A parte questo lo staff che ha in gestione le stanze è molto gentile e disponibile ed è molto comodo poter lasciare il bagaglio nel loro ufficio dopo aver fatto check out.

Unico neo la cinghia di una tapparella che si è rotta appena presa in mano. Personale discretissimo e molto gentile. Struttura vecchiotta ma con un suo fascino e posizione perfetta con una vasta gamma di mezzi pubblici proprio sotto casa. Credo che torneremo

• Verified traveler (6/5): Zentral gelegenes Appartment Hotel - Schönes altes Haus in Gehdistanz zur Scala und zum Dom. Das Zimmer ist grosszügig, gut eingerichtet inkl. Bügeleisen etc., alles hat viel Charme. Auch das Treppenhaus und der tolle alte Aufzug. Es ist ein Appartmenthotel ohne Rezeption, Extras wie Taxibestellung müssen per Mail gemacht werden. Das Haus liegt an einer Strasse mit Tram, d.h. es ist nicht sehr ruhig. Dafür aber sehr zentral.

Not the most luxurious but if you are staying in the hotel all day then you're doing it wrong. It was kind of an automated b&b of sorts but def worth the money. Not a great business hotel, but great for the traveler...

• Verified traveler (8/5): Excellent location in central Milano. - Excellent location in central Milano. The room is in fine condition. Although this is no hotel with on-site staff, access works well.
• Michael (10/5): Great stay. - Great location. Felt safe and comfortable. Just down the road of the duomo. No front desk really which was a little confusing initially but the people running it are located downstairs in the cafe shop. You can elect for breakfast there as well for an extra charge but unsure of how much because we looked for breakfast elsewhere. They were very nice. Parking is done via buonaparte parking garage which is located down the road and is an extra charge but came out to around 60 bucks for the two nights we stayed.

With the help of the bar manager next door we managed to contact the owner but were then told the wrong room. The bathroom was not very clean and the 3rd bed was located underneath a load of shelves, not very convenient or comfortable.

• MELANIE (6/5): - Check in was a bit of a hassle. The main entrance was locked and we are supposed to get the room key in a safe inside the building. Made some calls before we were given instruction how to open the main door, but still it will not open. We waited under the rain with our kids before the guy next door who runs the coffee shop and seemed iriritated that we can not speak italian and who refuse to speak english, finally opened the door for us.

• JORDI (6/5): No es un hotel, un apartamento muy bien ubicado - Lo más importante es que no se trata de un hotel: son unos apartamentos. Una vez aceptada esta premisa, la localización es fabulosa y si el precio es correcto vale la pena pensar en esta opción. Todas las personas que busquen un hotel no van a encontrar satisfechas sus expectativas.
• Peter (6/5): Great, central place at a reasonable price - Great, super-central place at a reasonable price. Very short way to the Duomo and everything else. The room was easy to check in to with the self-service. No need for a staff. The elevator seemed very old and unstable, but seeing as we stayed on the top, taking the stairs with my pregnant wife wasn't really an option. The elevator worked fine though. The room was neatly cleaned and the air condition was really great in the intense Italy summer. The view from the balcony was great. The mini-fridge/bar had great prices, but there was no water in it and it didn't get refilled during our stay. We bought our own and put in. The the extra bed was small and placed under a shelf for some reason, i'm glad we only used the main bed. There is also waaaay too much furniture in the room and outside so the room that actually is very big, seems very small and cramped. It was also hard to open the doors to the balcony because of all the furniture. Seems like an easy thing to fix, just remove some of it. Wifi was (as most places in Italy) pretty unstable, but worked more times than not.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Perfekte Lage nur wenige Minuten vom Duomo enfernt - Leider kann ich das Hotel an sich nicht bewerten, das wir gar nicht dort übernachtet haben. Bei der Ankunft riefen wir 2x an und warteten unendlich lange vor der Türe, als wir uns dann entfernten, kam plötzlich ein Anruf, dass die Hotelverantwortliche jetzt vorort sei. Sie war wirklich eine sehr Nette. Sie teilte uns mit, dass bei uns die Toilette defekt sei und sie uns deswegen in ein anderes Hotel verlegen könnte (uns ein "Upgrade" geben könne). Das andere Hotel (an der Via Broletto, gleich neben dem Kaffee Mozart, wo wir jeweils auch unsere 2 Gipfeli und unser eines Getränk frühstückten) hatte sehr unfreundliches Empfangspersonal, dafür wiederum ein riesiges Zimmer, in dem zwar auf den ersten Blick alle Annehmlichkeiten wie Kochecke, Kaffeemaschine, Geschirrspülmaschine, vorhanden waren, doch leider sah die Kaffeemaschine schrecklich unappetitlich aus und auch die Maschine war überhaupt nicht abgewaschen. Ansonsten war das Zimmer sauber und sehr hell, typisch italienisch eingerichtet. Dafür ist das Hotel mega nah beim Duomo und bei den vielen Shopping-Möglichkeiten. Um den Duomo herum ist es halt sehr teuer zum Essen, also sollte man dafür immer etwas weiter weggehen (Taberna San Tomaso an der Via San Tomaso: sehr gut und günstig) und auch zum Esswaren einkaufen findet man unmittelbar vom Dom eigentlich nur Restis, aber keine Supermärkte (dafür sind wir mit der U-Bahn bis Buonarroti rausgefahren).
• christine (6/5): Impersonnel et succinct - Excellemment situé, l'appartement ne bénéficie pas d'une cuisine comme indiqué mais d'un mini frigo et d'une nespresso. La vaisselle est stockée dans le lave-vaisselle et ne comptez pas l'en sortir car il n'y a aucun rangement que la table sur laquelle vous seriez sensés prendre un repas ! Le petit déjeuner "offert" est très frugal pour des ados ; il vous en coûtera 15€pour 4 jus d'orange pour accompagner le café-croissant compris ds le prix de la chambre.
• Biz&Travel (6/5): Buono per le nostre esigenze - Scegliamo questa struttura per viaggi di lavoro e per noi ha una posizione ottima. Tenendo presente che non si tratta di un hotel e che quindi il servizio reception ha orari limitati e la colazione è esterna, la struttura principale si presenta carina, pulita e il personale è disponibile. Una buona sistemazione!
• GERARD (8/5): Un très agréable séjour au centre de Milan - L'hôtel est très bien situé en centre ville. C'est un petit immeuble avec ascenseur. La terrasse accessible au 5e étage est aménagée et on peut s'y reposer avec vue sur les toits. L'accueil est simple et précis, sur rendez-vous car il n'y a pas de réception, on vous remet une clé. La chambre est vaste, propre, bien équipée. Le seul inconvénient (sur rue) est le bruit des tramways, malgré les doubles vitrages, mais c'est supportable. A recommander.
• Cristina (8/5): B&B in pieno centro di Milano - Di passaggio per lavoro ho pernottato solo una notte. La stanza era molto accogliente come il personale. Ho avuto la possibilità, una volta lasciata la stanza, di depositare i bagagli presso un'altra struttura collegata alla Locanda al Duomo, perchè il mio aereo partiva molte ore più tardi. Il personale è molto gentile. Unica pecca della stanza è un pò di rumore notturno dovuto al passaggio continuo dei tram. Un pò scomoda la colazione da consumarsi al bar accanto alla struttura. E' a pochi passi dal duomo ed ha una terrazza arredata, da cui si può godere la vista del duomo stesso bellissimo illuminato di notte. E' sicuramente da consigliare Cristina

She said she would arrive in 5 minute. I waited with my family for 40 minute at rainy and cold day. Terrible memory and lazy owner...
• David (10/5): Great place in an excellent location - Unique apartment style accommodation with a rooftop view of the duomo and a large amount of retail stores within walking distance of the building. The street is quiet and safe.
• retiredjorgies (6/5): First this is not a hotel...it is a B&B. - We were dropped off at the front door by a cabbie driver who luckily we had given the address to. We stood outside ringing several doorbells with one answering call the office. We did not have a phone. While standing outside wondering what to do a very nice fellow. Husband of the manager explained his wife has an office 10 minutes away and would be there soon and he politely said we were supposed to call first and she would have met us there. Again no phone! The room was on thethirdofanold bldg. it did have a lift. It was convenient to everything but the real downside for us was we were hoping to store our luggage there the next day after returning from our 3 hr tour. The manager explained we could store our luggage at another office y her but never really explained very good where it was and it was a couple of blocks away. So we draggedourluggage to ataxi stand a couple of blocks and spent 4 hours at the Milan train station before our departure. Much too hassle for us. Maybe a younger couple with a phone would like it?

• DR. Wilbur C. (8/5): Location, location, location - This is an facility for the independent traveler. Norma Excell was great Check-in and with confirming arrangements for Irport transportation. Vouchers for breakfast are provided as well as suggestions for restaurants which are nearby. The location was fantastic-1/2 block from the Duomo, metro station and tram stops. However, there is no conceige service on a daily basis. If you know where you want to go and what you want to do there is no problem. Ms. Excell is available 24/7by phone, so be sure to have your phone with you. She will arrange for airport transfers.
• Victoria (8/5): Lovely decor & great location. - I recently stayed in the City Glam room of the Locanda suites. It's in a great location for first timers to Milan. Just a 5 min walk to the beautiful Duomo, galleria vittorio emmanuele II, high st shopping as well as luxury stores. Spotless room with gorgeous frette bed linen and cute retro Smeg fridge. No reception desk so u MUST call prior to arrange check-in, a detail we completely missed!! Luckily the cleaner was able to let us in and arrange for us to check-in with staff later in the day. We meet with two staff members I am guessing the owners, both of which were very lovely a helpful who we arranged a time to meet at our room. They were able to recommend nice places to eat dinner and where to wander. My only one negative was that our room was infested with mosquitoes and I spent two sleepless nights swatting them. I would swat one and then more would appear, it was a small nightmare and with no reception desk it was hard to really tell anyone as it would have been a matter of them specifically coming out to the suites to see us. The street is also a thoroughfare for the trams, which run all night and don't stop, it would keep light sleepers awake but my husband (who mosquitoes clearly avoid) wasn't bothered by it and slept well.
• h (4/5): Smoke filled furniture and bed covers. - Good location for Duomo. Very expensive for what you get. They were not ready for us; unprepared for our party of four, two teens. They brought in two cots for them to sleep on. Extremely nice staff but would not recommend this hotel due to the smoke filled air and furniture, musty odors, and high price .
• Verified traveler (8/5): Upscale Pensione close to everything - The hotel is really more of a traditional Pension - meaning that these are rooms in a building rather than traditional hotel with reception, restaurant, etc. The room was comfortabtly set-up with a nice bed, chairs, a stocked fridge and coffee machine. We met up with the manager who brought us the keys and explained everything to us - she was helpful and well-informed with advice on public transportation, shopping and dining. She gave us a voucher for breakfast which we used a cafe near to the Duomo. Only reason I give it a "3" for services is because it's not really a hotel so you don't have all the central amenities that even a small hotel would offer. However, it's a nice place to stay and I really liked the helpful manager.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Great Stay - The location can't be beat. Just a two minute walk to taxi stand, metro and 5 minutes to the Duomo. Everything is great. The only things to consider are that 1) it's on a semi busy street with cars, and 2) there is no hotel reception. Other than that no downsides that I can think of.

• Annie (10/5): Great place for a simple stay - It's a no frills kind of place with no , but if you need anything, the owner is just a text message away. Great location. Very clean, with maid service everyday. Plus they have air-conditioning. Recommend for families since you can rent an adjoining room and have it be a suite.
• Jeanne (10/5): Nice hotel in an excellent location - Locanda Al Duomo was great. We had 2 rooms for our family. We got a fantastic breakfast at a restaraunt next door. There is a rooftop deck with comfy chairs, speakers and a view of the Duomo. Loved staying here,
