Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Don’t waste your time at this dump
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Nothing, disgusting and dirty, unfriendly owners, cockroaches, stains on the sheets, stains on the roof, poop in the cabinets. We complained and they still kept giving us horrible rooms. We decided to leave the lady had the nerve to ask for the 100 PHP for early check in!!! And then phoned my fiancé COMPLAINING about our other review on the other site we booked on!! Little do they know we are getting our money back and hope it comes out of their pockets! Disgusting how they can treat people like this and sleep at night!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - 5star resort experience great value for hard earned money
- Noreen (6/5): Don't expect much - There was no microwave when it's said there is, aircon is not cool enough, few cable channels to watch, at the adds said free pool for 2 but it was not, at the adds said with balcony but was not, at adds said 2 rooms but it was just studio type. Over all it was clean had friendly guards and staff. I think since it was cheap price you don't expect what was exactly said at the offer accomudation package on the apps or at hotel.com
- Honey (8/5): Recharged overnight - Room was conducive for resting
- Verified traveler (2/5): - It was too far from everything. The worst part was that the pool cannot be used on the weekends and there is a per person charge to use the pool
- Verified traveler (6/5): The first timer - We're expecting that we will be able to use your wifi since we don't have signal to use cellular data on our mobile phone but it turns out that it's not working we can't load FB and youtube. We are not also advise that there will no toothbrush and toothpaste to be provided since we're not able to buy one. Maybe you can also include slippers on package but other than that everything is fine.
- Carmel (2/5): - The staff where terrible and the property wasn’t that great expensive parking . They never listen too you when you have told them that your car is too big. They waste a lot of time taliking to each other instead of checking people into the property . The aircon doesn’t work well as they put a cupboard i for you of it to lock the flow
- Edwin J. (4/5): Dirty place and AC not working - The bathroom is very dirty, utensils are dirty, bed bugs and cockroaches seen in the place. The cleaners don’t have any sufficient tools to clean the place. The sink in the bathroom and the toilet bowl are clogged. AC don’t work well. I don’t think the owner check the place after the cleaners done.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Well I will list the pros and cons
Pros: nice staff, close to the airport and the outdoors of the complex is nice.
Cons: Roaches in the room everywhere. Had to leave and stay with friends could be in a place like that.
So if your want to be near the airport and don’t mind Roaches it’s the place for you.
- Noreen (10/5): Nice pool area - Kinds enjoyed their stay... the poll area was great.
- Craig (4/5): - Very dirty room! Condoms left in drawers, and lots of dust over top of wardrobe. The bed was disgustingly filthy. I think the mattress contained more DNA than a human! Also, it did have sky tv in the room, but wasn’t subscribed to any channels, so you couldn’t actually watch anything. The location isn’t good either as there isn’t anything worth walking to within the vicinity. The AC was totally inefficient and really needed cleaning. Do not stay here!!
- Anna Marie (4/5): Worst accommodation - Worst stay. I asked to be transferred to 3rms. 1st rm the rm only has personal fridge, t.v. place on the wall is as small as an I-pod which is not what the pictures shows and the sofa sheet has stains
2nd rm, the dining table has only 1 chair and the t.v. is quite big but 1/4 of it is grayed out.
Talked over the phone with a staff and it seems they don't want to be responsible for those mess and put the blame to previous guest.
And asked me to just cancel the booking.
Wow!
Told the lady I know the rules are.
Had asked to be transferred to the 3rd rm and tried to relax.
Just stayed at the room even for dinner though not the original plan.
- Ize (2/5): Terrible location and place to stay - Will definitely not recommend this place to anyone. We are only using fan -not even an aircon and at night there were many cockroaches. The room is not clean and the utensils is dirty. We had feedback to the owner but they just ignore us. Terrible experience, will not comeback again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice place overall
- William (10/5): Recommended - Only one night but the place was very good recommende
- Stuart (8/5): It has Wi-Fi it was close to the airport and has a - It’s not fancy , I only paid 20 , and I was catching a plane back home , it’s close to the air port , But the roads are so small that it easily gets packed with traffic so you need to take into consideration , I wasn’t looking for anything fancy I just need a place to rest my head and have Wi-Fi ? And for that , it serve my needs
- Verified traveler (2/5): aircond blowing hot air - plate have chip eletric fan to noisy no body to talk about the condo
- DEMETRIO (6/5): Read everything carefully - Beware of no free parking and feeds on all amenities
- Matthew (2/5): Don't ever stay - Worst place ever full of cockroaches staff were horrible
- jeff (6/5): Very good for the money - Second time i stay here it is very reasonably priced and it it really nice .
- Benjamin (8/5): Would love to cone back. - From the start the staff was very nice and the room was just right for the two of us. Really loved it there and wouldn't mind coming back. The only thing I would improve would be better supply of toilet paper.
- Ana (2/5): Posted-site wrong info. It's Co.ndo not hotel - booking a hotel, but its a condo.too hot, too many mosquitos, have cackroaches, linens ,?toiletries are limited , pools you have to pay per head, parking you have to pay every day charge.
What was posted in your site is not what you gonna get. No AC on hallways, elevator too hot.
Unexpected exoerience , uncomfortable to stay,
Unrecommendable. Phils. is too humid they should have a centralized AC ON.requesting to give my payment 1/2 fee. Bec. Of wrong info.i'n booking a hotel not condo.Got rashes on mosquito bites , got sick bec. Of the room temp. Not able to go bwork for 2 weeks bec. If the rashes.
- Jocelyn (4/5): - Aircon was not cold enough
Found out better rate in the same community
- nelson (10/5): a nice place and lot of parking for the guest. - the place is commendatory for family vacation because of the amenities of the resort.
- Aristotle (2/5): Awful, worst and can't get help from hotel.com - I called prior to our arrival and made arrangement to be pick up at the airport. When we got there, room wasn't ready and the desk doesn't have a clue about our arrival. Somebody was sleeping in the room that they put us in. Bed wasn't made and the lady who was sleeping there just handed us a bed sheet. Her hair was everywhere in the sofa and on the sheets. We where so tired and my mom was coming from a 21 hrs flight. So inspite all of the unpreparedness, we went to bed. After an hour when there was a ring on the door. I answer the door and they wanted to move us on the 4th floor. We were tired, we don't have the energy to move our luggages and it was 6 in the morning and mind you my mom just got off of from a 21 hrs flight and she is old. So we decided to leave the place and looked for another accomodation. I asked for a refund but still they charge us for 1 night. I called hotels.com but they are no help at all. They seem to side with the place not the wronged customer. The hotels.com agents that i spoke with doesn't seem to speak and understand english that good. And your website tool free numbers doesn't work. The last agent i spoke with ( sounds like a spanish speaking lady) told me she will call me on my cellphone as the line was not clear, 4 days later never heard anything from her, hotels.com or from the accomodation. Good job guys!!! NOT!!!
- Verified traveler (8/5): great place but hidden costs - it was great but the add on costs were a bit much for use of the pool.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Not commen adableifyouwanttorelax.verypooraorundin - Very noisy trafic are terrible not recommended so rounding
- peter (2/5): Really Bad Stay in that Appartement. - Bad Hotel and the bed is so noisy if You Moving from side to other side....its unbelievable
Not Allowed to use Pool...impossible
- Barna (8/5): - Everything was good except the fact that I was not allowed to use the swimming pool on the weekend.
- Kelvin (6/5): - Hotel was good ,good amenities
- Verified traveler (6/5): Bed - Reason why we didn't like it much is because of the bed situation. It feels like its going to fall off. But overall we felt comfortable in the area. Please so change your bed. We would like to stay there again. Thanks
Service: Attendant was not friendly at all
Desk staff: Super helpful
- Les (4/5): Never Again - Poor room service, over 36 hours to get toilet tissue, bugs, cockroaches and beetles inside everywhere in the room. Walls were cracked, walls were not cleaned from bugs being killed previously, had laundry done they lost and damaged our laundry. Only good thing about the Resort was one very courteous and professional security guard. Out of my whole trip most expensive resort most disappointing.
- Karen (2/5): Yukk - No bedding for the damaged sofabed, couldn't bring ourselves to use the shower. Dreadful place and couldn't wait to leave
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Its more of a managed condo hotel. But it was a pleasant stay. I got the 2 bedroom with adequate living, dining and kitchen area. The sofa in the living room converts to a sofa bed. Can fit up to 8 people with roll away bed as extra request with no additional charge. There is also a small balcony for open air sitting.
- Retha (8/5): - !st Unit fridge was not working but after I reported it they immediately changed us to another unit. I was a bit amazed that they were charging us to use the pool, as residents use it for free and the guy that bought the unit that we rent from surely counts as a resident, furthermore they should say that when they advertise on the net I think. There were no knives in the unit and hardly any cooking utensils like grater or can opener.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Place was good but accessibility to other places is too bad. I do not recommend this place.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Near airport - Basic but good accommodation. We had to pay to use the pool and weekends guest s are not allowed to use the pool at all.
- Rolando (8/5): - All good, very secured. No complaints at all
- Rita (6/5): - If you're looking for comfort, this is probably not the best place for you.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good choice for long layover - This is a good place for long layover. Near to the airport but careful when taking a taxi. They like to take you on a longer journey than necessary. The ride from terminal 2 is just 15 to 20 minutes! The property is a condominium complex, not a hotel. Expect what you pay for. Staff is super friendly and willing to help
- lulu (8/5): Clean and good facilities, close to town&airport - Beautiful experiences celebrating the festive season with my family.
- Chris (2/5): Will not stay here again. - Took shower and walked to bedroom and feet were black on the bottom when I went to put my socks on! Definitely had not cleaned the floors in awhile!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Really a condo rental - This isn't really a hotel, but a condo complex. The room is large, clean and has a kitchen, living room, dining area and bedroom.
The only disappointment was that there was no soap or shampoo which made getting ready for my flight the next day a bit difficult. I washed with dishsoap.... not the best solution.
This hotel/condo is quite close to the airport. While it took 35 minutes to get to the hotel, it only took 15 minutes to get back to the airport the next day.
- helen (10/5): Nice hotel ...clean plaza...accessible for transpo - Me and my family decided to have 1 week vacay...and this place is the perfect place for me and my family...sorroundings is safe and clean...children. Are able to enjoy wide plaza w/ great scenrries...swimming pool is available@ affordable price...thanks chateau ellysse for accomodating ...we f÷l comfortable stay...@ CHATEAU ELLYSSE SUINE
- Salome (6/5): - Good for value.
- James (6/5): Not a hotel - This is not a hotel, room service cleaning is only once a week, plastic plates and dishes which some are cracked, rice cooker that does not work, a very nice pool but you have to pay to use and you can't use it on Friday Saturday and Sunday's, it's quite and safe but I won't book there again
- Verified traveler (10/5): Quiet and Affordable - Room is good. AC is great. We were able to use the refrigerator, microwave oven, electric kettle.. aside from that they have electric kettle,
- Nemeline Rizza (8/5): - Basically, you just get what you paid for. There were no proper coordination with the security guards of the compound and the booking coordinator, so I had to wait at the guardhouse for about 10-15mins. before I was allowed to go to the building. The contact number provided in the website is practically useless, since no one was answering. The room looks clean overall, but the bed and refrigerator were not very clean.
- Joy; Jason; DJ; (10/5): All the comforts of a local community. - This gated community of several (7 storied) condominiums houses very friendly people. They greet strangers as if they are their old neighbors.
- Shaun (8/5): Clean and Friendly place, location not so good - Really nice place friendly and helpful staff. room and amenities fantastic. Only down side was location it was a bit far from the airport despite it saying an airport hotel. local mini stop and eating places near by. excellent place to stay .location lets it down a little though.
- Mina (10/5): Nice hotel - Nice
Clean
Comfy
Best price
All are good except no body answers the phone!
I would recommend to a friend!
- robert paul (4/5): - Just needed beddinga upgrade and the bathroom sink was clogged
- Islam (8/5): Amazing place and worth to try it - It's really worth the money I paid, I came there for one night and I extended more days, the thing is that in Manila it's so difficult to find such place so I used to book one day and if the place is nice I extend but if not nice I erase it from my mind forever,
It's not really a hotel but you will love to stay here, the place is so beautiful and has a lot of security guards everywhere, the rooms are nice, ckean and big enough for your short stay, I had really bad experience in almost all the hotels in Manila, I love this place, I recommend it indeed specially if you are frequent travelers.
- Cory (8/5): Nice - The room was comfortable, the pool was fabulous. Close to the airport. We enjoyed our stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Reasonable rate. - We stayed at one bedroom unit at Siene to attend function at the clubhouse. We had a pleasant stay at the unit although I had these list for a more satisfactory stay. Addtional Mineral water, bigger blanket, more coffee sachets, crystal glasses, more dinnerwares and not defective stove, it took me five minutes to cook eggs.
- Cher (6/5): Inconvenient - Not accessible to disabled person. INCONVENIENT for travellers who have larger luggages since there are no carts and only a lady will going to carry your heavy things.
- Michael (8/5): great for the value. - A nice place to stay close to the airport.
- relax close to airport (8/5): nice apartment complex near airports. - nice with pool. close to shopping. good room. nice Internet. many TV channels.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Ok - I can stay it was nice but the room was very hot , was trying to get a cab was told it was 600 ps to get a cab I walk to the street an got a cab just for 120 ps not very trusting people's there
- bobby (10/5): Average - I like the swimming pool fantastic and the staff are very accomodating...
- paul (4/5): the pits - the room was not as pictured, the microwave was missing the turn style plate, the ac was not big enough to cool the lace, the linens were in adequate. no extra towels only two bath towels provided. one roll of toilet paper for two weeks. sheets only changed once in two weeks. sheets not even the right size. the wi-fi worked intermittently same as the phone. all in all terrible service that i feel was mis represented. scratch this off your list quick.
- Rene (4/5): You get what you pay for or even less. - no blankets, no pots, no pan.
don't wanna waste time writing a story
- Brian (2/5): - I did not enjoy my stay, I found another place and left a day early
- Verified traveler (4/5): Shabby - At least provide decent beddings and towels, not some very cheap and seen-better-days. Clean and decent curtains in bedroom and bathroom can make some difference. Sofa bed can use some re-upholstering as the outer cover has been stripped off. Basic maintenance goes a long way.
- L & A (6/5): Not so convenient for the airport - Not so much a hotel, more a place to sleep and do self-catering. Shop close by, but very small/limited. Seems to be a mixture of residents and tourist rooms. Staff helpful. For three of us we got a small 2-bedroom flat, which was good. Air conditioning and fans, fridge.
- Lorraine (6/5): Hotel with outdoor pool - We booked the hotel because it was next to the airport. Road works meant it took 30 mins in a taxi.
Room basic. One small sheet for two people.
Designed to be self catering and we found no cafés or restaurants nearby.
The pool was fantastic.
Staff are friendly and polite.
- ken (8/5): Pretty good - It was a 2 day stay while on way back home from my visit. I was actually impressed as this was my first stay there. I did not like the traffic at all in that area as it was very busy and took a very long time to get there from the mall of Asia and actually to get there from anywhere in Manila
- Katrina (8/5): Comfortable Stay in a Decent Place - Our family rented three family size condos to attend a relative's funeral in a nearby town. Each condo had 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and a sofa bed in the living room. The condos were decent sized and clean with two towels per bed. I was worried that our condos might not be up to par based on other people's reviews, but our stay was quite comfortable. We were only using the place to sleep and shower rather than really lounge.
A couple of things to note for your stay:
1) Be sure to bring a print out of your reservation to show the gate guard. Also, tell the gate guard which building you're staying in.
2) Bring your own toiletries.
3) Renting a parking spot can cost 100 to 150 PHP per day. Be sure to coordinate ahead of time with the property to see if there is an available spot for your car.
- Brian (8/5): good hotel, not much in the area though. - It was a good stay, though if you want your room cleaned, you have to be present when they do it, most taxi drivers had trouble finding the place, the phone number provided to contact them always rings and rings no one ever answers it. the hotel wasn't exactly near the airport, it was near the back side of the airport but actually 11km away and not the few it said it was.. pool hours are rather short. I'd stay there again, but have written directions for the cab drivers to find the place. (watch out for airport taxi drivers wanting to charge you 2,700 to drive you to the hotel... shouldn't cost more then 300, though if I could have gotten a hold of the hotel i would have done the 600 they had listed.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good place to stay - A bit far from the big malls.
Some facilities in the room is not complete(e.g pillow and blankets.)
- Verified traveler (6/5): Nice place to stay but far - It was a nice room, clean and comfortable and the owner who let me in was waiting for me in the lobby which was really nice. the wifi was really good. it was really secure with security on guard at the entrance to the collection of appartment buildings.
The reason why I wouldnt recommend this hotel is that it was so much further than i expected and when I arrived it took me and the taxi driver a long time to find where the place was. (this is a disadvantage of staying in a appartment compared with staying in a regular hotel, i think). there were so many appartment buildings in the complex and it was so hard to tell one from the other.
- Andy (6/5): Not area for tourist - This is a timeshare condo located in an area that is very inconvenient to travel, no hotel staff to help. Room is okay but the bedding is bad. Good thing they have cooking appliances and fridge and the bathroom is clean. I guess at this price it is still considered fine for budget travelers.
- neri (10/5): Homey - The room we rented was for family..have 2 bedroom and very spacious...very comfy..u can watch tv in your room or in the living room.they have kitchen facility..and most of all the swimming fool(the best)..strongly recommend..d k mapapahiya
- Jezalyn (6/5): - The area is good as it's near the airport and safe. Bed was bad, needs replacement. Pool was nice. There's a kitchen that you can cook. Ok if you're staying for a night or two. Suggestions: change the air conditioner ( noisy and does not release cold air enough, change the mattress and bed frame. It also needs a big blanket. The Chateau Elysee fee was equivalent to the nice & comfortable/fancy hotel we had back in Makati which has better when it comes to accommodating guests.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Hotel review - Check out this me is 10am. Entirely too early for any hotel check out tune. Staff was not flexible on even an hour longer to check out. Poor customer service.
Room was nice, but sheets were disgusting.
- Ste (8/5): y - it was ok, it was ok, it was ok, it was ok, it was ok, it was ok, it was ok
- Stephen (2/5): Not enjoyable at all . No refund for a last night' - It was not a good place to stay at , period . No reply for the last night we left open for a later date to use . No refund available they said , because of my booking on line . The place was so small and only air conditioning in the bedroom only . Even the adult pool was closed the entire time we stayed , being the real reason I chose the hotel over the others ! I can't say enough about this bad location and the lack of anything there .
- Jim (4/5): This is not a hotel. Not suitable for a family. - This is a group of condominiums that has some rooms to rent. We were severely disappointed in the size of the room, it was at best a tiny studio apartment. It was advertised as a quenn bed with a sofa bed. The queen bed was OK but the sofa bed was a upholstered futon, that was totally uncomfortable. When we arrived the attendant ( notice I didn't say front desk), had to call the owner to have the keys sent over. After flying 16 hours, waiting to get into the room was not appreciated. Then when the door was opened for us it was ,Oh,my God!!
- kermit (2/5): terrible - Roaches and no room service ,horrible ,charged me 200 pesos for parking every night and the brochure says 150 per night ,did not get a receipt from the woman who accepted my payment, this is not a hotel
- Hugh (4/5): Not what I expected. - This is not a hotel, it's a very small apartment in one of several blocks of nice flats.
Therefore no hotel reception facilities or services.
Miles from the airport, not nearby at all.
This booking should never be on this hotels website.
- robert (2/5): Chateau Elysee not that great at all. - This was more like a rental timeshare. The beddings were cheap and well worn. The fixtures were cheap, the outlets defective, the AC knobs were missing. Lots of ants and the hallways stink due to the smell of someone's cooking. Traffic around the area was very bad.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice place, unfortunate location - The staff was very nice and worked hard to prepare for our stay. The room is worth the price. It is unfortunately down a old ally-way which is really inconvenient. Good place for a night's stay if you are comfortable with a hike.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - they should change their appliances. The airconditioning system is not perfectly working as well as the television.
- Kristie (2/5): Dont expect any help from staff - Well coming to Manila, I had an open mind knowing it will be busy place to stay amd not many people recommend it. Not knowing where to go I assumed (being a hotel) the staff would be helpful. Boy was I mistaken! Not one staff member help us, no advice on where to go or what to do, barely any English spoken (I tried to use some Filipino words to break the ice) but no luck. Not even a goodbye walking out the door. Incredibly disappointed with the service. Only positive was the wifi in our room!
- Wilma (8/5): Wilma R.Waraich - Staying at the Chateau Elysee was wonderful except that i am not happy for not having a either a bag of Tea in your cupboard, what's the point of leaving a Kettle in the room without a tea bag or an instant coffee for guest to stay.2 bags of tea I don't think that's a big deal.if I were known,i could bring tea bags myself.otherwise everything is good.
- Girard (6/5): poor condition - ants everywhere. checked in late and would have moved but stuck for the one night reservation.
- Joe (4/5): Pass up Chateau Elysee...not good. - I'm not a super picky person but, The first room they gave me, I immediately saw cockroaches, the couch was broken, the wifi was broken and the A/C was so loud I couldn't sleep. After 3 days of complaining and asking for a refund they gave me a new room. The new room was better, but this room had tiny ants everywhere, all the shelves in the bathroom were broken and they took the knobs off the AC so I couldn't control the temp. I felt like they thought I was a pain but I mean, C'mon! I paid for 2 weeks stay and expected SOME comfort. Anyways, the staff was nice but I wouldn't recommend staying here.
- Anna (8/5): Nice hotel - It's quiet and relaxing and it feels like you are at home
- Mel (8/5): Very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere - We stayed here since a relative had recommended it. The rooms are small but complete, nice size refrigerator. Close to the airport and fairly central location to reach a number of places. The staff were very helpful in recommending taxis and other transport.
- Ernest S. (8/5): first time at Chateau Elysee - A very nice place with lots of space and helpful staff plus the price was right only con was it's hard to get taxi at this location besides that i plan to return !
- Verified traveler (2/5): poor - not comfortable specially lots of insects like cockroach that crawling to my feet and running around the floor.
- Elena (6/5): nice place, difficult to find - bad location, taxi found it hardly
- thierry (2/5): very poor value - This is not an hôtel 'this is a small flat minimum space and most cheaper furniture, we spend only on night but difficultés to sleep in this bed, inconfortable.
Condominium is nice but thé street is not for tourist, car repairs around.
Much better to choice an hotel in Makati.
- Daryl (6/5): Hard to find, but good value and close to airport - It's not really a hotel, but a nice condo complex close to MNL airport. Chateau Elysee rents out condos as hotel rooms. Extremely hard to find, but comfortable and low priced.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Nice place, but not a hotel as advertised. - I stayed here on Oct 18, 2014. The taxi driver taking me to the place said "That's an apartment complex" with a surprised expression. When we got to the place the security guards wanted to know which unit I was staying in. After some confused exchanges he realized I was a "web check-in" and asked to see my receipt on my phone.
Once there I was totally confused. The taxi driver dropped me off in front of a building. There was no receiption, no obvious place to "check-in". After some questions the lady at the desk in the entry way made a call and the woman who owns the apartments showed up. She was friendly enough and got me to my room. The wifi was great. The room was clean enough and had a refrigerator, dishes, and looked like someone really lived there but was out for a few weeks and was renting their home out to guests.
In any case I was comfortable enough there. I just wish the description had made it clear that I was renting an apartment for a night not a hotel. I probably would have stayed anyway, but it would have made my check-in process much less stressful.
- austenhess@yaho (6/5): - Find TIME felt really homey but to much security maybe people very nice
- Prof. AA (4/5): Poor quality - Not good at all. Very small sink in bath. A/C in bedroom only and very weak.
- Gindel ginagie (8/5): - Compy room to stay, feel at home, there's a fridge, kettle stove to cook ,rice cooker, etc, I am very sure to comeback again and stay for a couple of days, thanks so much see u again next year, best regards, Gina
- sam (8/5): Great deal - Totally enjoyed my stay there and its actually not a hotel, its just a condominium where they rent out the units available. You will feel at home since it is a home. Swimming pool and gym available for use too. Will definitely go back there.
